Pleasantly surprised by the quality and portion size at HeFun Asian Fusion! The avocado salmon roll (added cream cheese) was delicious! The sesame chicken was very good but the portion size of rice was a bit small compared to how much chicken was given. The Hot and Sour soup tasted a bit burnt. Service was good but food had mixed reviews with my party of six, shrimp shumai appetizer tasted like the cheapest frozen brand that you would buy in an asian supermarket, crab Rangoon were good but only a cream cheese paste, with no no hint of crab, or other discernible flavor. Baby eggplant with shrimp just ok, No 1 son said his poke bowl was gross, and left half of it... We decided to give HeFun Asian Fusion and it did not disappoint! We ordered Broccoli Brown Sauce with Chicken, General's Tso's Chicken and Vegetable Fried Rice. We chose to have Hot and Sour as a side. Everything was delicious! Each item had a wonderful flavor and the items with spice were nicely hot. We will definitely be ordering again there! Average at best. I'm not one for eating sushi at a fusion place, so I decided to stick to the Thai food anticipating it would be amazing based on the reviews. The orange chicken was hard chewy and overly fried. I also had the pad Thai noodles. They were anything but traditional. The only peanut flavor they had came from the actual peanuts that they gave you to sprinkle on top. When I asked the waitress why they didn't taste like pad Thai she said they do theirs, sweet and sour, huh?! Definitely not coming back. read more

The good, nice ambiance and the servers we had were attentive. The bad, unfortunately the two Thai chicken dishes we were served were dreadfull. I had the Thai chicken curry my wife had the Thai mango curry. In both cases the chicken pieces that were in our dishes were nothing like any we have ever had in the many Thai restaurants we've visited. Instead of thin slices of sauté white chicken breast we were served what looked like curled up chicken skin which appeared to be coated in something and fried. We tried one piece of chicken and that was enough to know this was not for us. In addition, rather than an assortment of veggies in the curry dishes there was only green beans in mine. I found a couple of pieces of tofu thrown in with my chicken (not requested). No options available for different curries just their yellow. Management listened to our complaints and offered to get us something else but we came for Thai chicken dishes and refused their offer. They were gracious enough to write off our meals and only charge us for the drinks. We wish them and will be back to try the sushi from their extensive memu. Found this place on Google and was not disappointed! The hostess was one of the friendliest I have encountered. Our waitress Vivian went above and beyond as well. We have a two year old and she was even interacting with her. The setting was relaxed as well. We got the crab Rangoon, hibachi salmon, and the Diablo roll, and were impressed by all of it. Me and my wife (who is from Japan) had lunch here today and were very surprised how good the sushi is. I love the way the sushi chef made the sushi rolls (makimono) with very little rice and more filling , plus the quality of the fish and rice was way above average. Sushi rice is one of the most important ingredients of sushi and theirs was great in my opinion. The atmosphere is very comfortable and cozy wich I like plus the service was top notch. As long as the quality of the food stays like we experienced today me and my wife will be regular customers. I cannot wait to try the scallops! read more

we had a good meal at this restaurant in July and decided to come back in September. (we are from Michigan, visiting in-laws). The second time was even better. The shrimp in the pan were larger and perfectly cooked., crab Rangoon was more stuffed and tasty, sesame chicken was excelkenr and everything we ordered, especially the Thai salad(papaya jicama and mango) was terrific. next time, we'll try the sushi menu-they have some rolls on their menu that I've not seen before that sound absolutely fabulous. My wife had the salmon hibachi and I had the steak teriyaki dinner special box which included the entree plus a California roll, soup, fried shumai, and tempura. What a delight this place is. Brand new! Replaced a sad Malaysian restaurant that had declined over the years. Had perfect General Tso chicken, pad Thai noodles, steamed shrimp dumplings and pan fried pot stickers. PERFECT! And fresh! Effort was made for a creative plating of the food to make it very attractive. It seems mainly sushi, but they have most of the favorite non-sushi items. And service was excellent. Our server was a very cheerful and polite young lady with a beautiful smile who seemed excited about the restaurant. Has take-away, but nice table settings if you wish to stay. My husband and I were craving sushi. We normally head to our spot in Dunedin but I didn't feel like driving that far. I remembered seeing a sign for sushi just 2 minutes from the house so we decided to stay close. We walked in and it was empty in here. The staff were all in back, while waiting, I noticed a sign saying CLOSED ON MONDAYS. It was Monday so I thought for sure they were closed, but it felt open, so I walked to the back and asked if they were closed. They said No, we are open. Great, we sat down and ordered some yummy looking rolls. The staff were sooooo nice and sweet. The fish was fresh and the rolls were delectable. I am not too adventurous but Yellowtail is my favorite. I use the flavor of this fish to judge an establishment. Their yellowtail was sooooooo good!!! It turned out this is a brand new restaurant, they took over an old spot and today was their first day open. A kind of trial run for the staff. The inside was nice and clean, freshly painted. They explained they have all new furniture coming in. The prices are comparable to other sushi spots. They offered a few other Asian staples for the cooked food lovers. We will definitely be back and I'm so happy to have found a place so close to home. read more

What a wonderful surprise! The new decor is beautiful and comfortable. The service was excellent! The food was just awesome! We purchased the fried rice with beef (more than you could eat at one sitting!) which was a huge hit! I had the salmon sashimi and Philadelphia roll - very good and large portions.
