Food was horrible. Ordered and picked up 20 minutes later. Would've been great if it was actually edible and for the price..... look elsewhere save yourself the money and waste of food! Crab rangoon was dried out like a dog treat. Kung pao chicken was breaded for some reason, had absolutely no sauce. Same with the hunan beef. Asked for extra spicy for both and they taste like dried out chicken and beef with sweet and sour sauce. No flavor at all no sauce and just horrible price and quality $42 thrown out in a matter of minutes. I tried calling multiple times and got no answer. Will stop there and hopefully get refunded for this waste of time and inedible food. read more

Portions are a bit small for the price, but the food is tasty and you get a HUGE selection from their Chinese/Japanese combo menu. Of course it's not fine dining but for a take out place this is excellent and everything was fresh and the delivery was prompt. We will be ordering again! :) read more

This was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I would not recommend. I do not even know how describe how awful it was. The staff on the other hand were courteous and very nice but that could not make up for the awful food. I love Chinese food and this was just a big disappointment that was recommended to me. I love Chinese food and just moved into the area. Thought I'd try it out. Did online order for 5:30 got there at 5:40 and still wasn't ready. Got it at 6:00 finally. They were unorganized and not kept up well. The food was not great either. Had a dish with beef and one with chicken. The beef was floppy and pale and the chicken was mushy and dark brown. I went here for lunch and got the lunch special. I thought the lunch deal was pretty good - a salad and two rolls for about $8. The sushi was fine but the salad was basically just iceberg lettuce and a ton of dressing. The restaurant was the type of style where you order at the counter and they bring it out for you - I thought this was a bit odd for a sushi place. Usually, with sushi, I start with 1-2 things, then order more as I feel like it. Its not a deal-breaker but makes it somewhere that I would avoid for a date or nice dinner out. I was frustrated that they did not have any cups for water - you had to buy it. I will give it another chance and maybe try some other sushi. read more

Full disclosure: I am picky when it comes to Asian restaurants and am particularly skeptical of the ones that try to do it all, blending various types of cuisines from various countries. We ordered the most basic sample of items, a few appetizers and maki rolls. The crab rangoons were okay. The edamame was fine, you can't really mess that up. The egg rolls, however, had a unrecognizable aroma to them, and biting into one, the taste seemed off to me. I didn't finish mine and my husband wouldn't touch his. The California roll was all right, and the shrimp tempura roll was, too. Loosely constructed. The Philly roll was half cream cheese - too much cream cheese. It filled up your mouth unpleasantly. We didn't finish those, either. Overall, there's some average items for a quick Asian fix, but we'll probably drive a little farther for sushi or Chinese. Ordered tonight, and delivery was quick and with a smile. Got the teriyaki chicken, chicken lo mein, and beef with garlic sauce (i think). Soup came w/ the teriyaki chicken. I can pass on the soup-just odd with I think tofu. But, the others were good and it's so nice to have quick delivery! Food was hot and packaged well. Online ordering was easy too. Great food and even if you're not that into Sushi; try this place, you will leave feeling impressed. The quantity is a bit less on some of the Chinese dishes and could be increased. We've tried this place thrice now, and so far their food has always been great. The space is limited, which is fine since it's in Yorkville ; but if this retains its popularity and the food is consistently good, they may need to increase the seating capacity. The California roll is really good, as well as the salmon and spicy tuna rolls. The Jalapeño poppers were ok, a bit soggy and not as warm as they should have been. The cost is also a bit on the higher side - probably $$ to $$$. Overall, we do like this place though. read more

Living in the Yorkville area for the last 5 years, it's been hard pressed to find decent Asian cuisine. Asian Kitchen excels at their food and it all has a fresh taste and feel to it. The typical Chinese fare of fried rice, egg rolls, crab rangoon and other usual suspects are all on par with other places in the area. However this place excels at its Japanese fare, especially their sushi, as it is bar-none the best in this area. It's a bit pricey, but is very rich and flavorful. The ambiance and layout of the restaurant and seating area is nice. Clean, modern and visually appealing. I'd recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for something else in the area! read more

This place was amazing. I was unsure at first but I am so glad I came here. It's a small place, however the prices are very fair and the food is fantastic. I left feeling very full. Also, there was no wait. We ordered three meals and an appetizer and got our food within three minutes. Everything was very clean. I will be visiting Asian Kitchen again. read more

OMG I would totally not recommend this to any of my friends to go here I got a raw salmon roll and the fish was cooked because of how hot the rice still was. My husband got the General Tso's chicken and the chicken wasn't cooked all the way and the sauce was to thick which made it unable to spread it on the white rice. I love sushi and Chinese food but this place gave me the worst experience and I will totally not be coming back here. read more

We have always loved the food here and we decided to order on Mother's Day (extremely busy for them). The order got messed up and we were missing two things. It happens and I wasn't angry at all. I had picked up the order originally, but when I called to tell them they were so apologetic and it really felt genuine. Needless to say they delivered the items in 15 minutes ( I live 8 miles from this place). They also threw in extra for the inconvenience. We are new to the area and based on the rating we thought we would give them a try. We love sushi but before we tried that we wanted to see how fresh the Chinese was since we are pretty picky about not getting sick from raw fish. We ordered pot stickers, crab Rangoon and egg rolls for appetizers and they were very obviously frozen and the exact same that we have bought at the grocery store. For dinners we had the sesame chicken, Mongolian beef and the house special fried rice. The sesame chicken was bland and chewy. The Mongolian beef was swimming in oil and grease, we had never seen that before, and while we love veggies there was only a few small pieces of beef to go with all of the onions. Last was the house special fried rice. The beef in it looked and tasted like it had been boiled to death and there was no color to anything in it besides the few peas that gave off a nice freezer burned green color. For a place that also serces sushi you would hope to see freshness in their other foods. Nobody in my family was happy with anything thst we ordered. Needless to say we will not be ordering from them ever again. read more

I absolutely LOVE this place!! Sushi is fresh, expertly crafted and beautifully presented. The miso soup is excellent and my they make some of the best carrot ginger salad dressing. First time trying this place and it was a bad experience for us. The first issue was the tone and rude delivery of information to me when I picked up our food. I placed my order on their website on a Sunday during lunchtime and selected a "lunch special". When I picked up our order I was told (rudely) that the restaurant does not offer lunch specials on Sundays and that she took the liberty of increasing my total accordingly. If they do not offer certain things during certain times or days or week this needs to be added on their website menu/ordering process or disabled. If a customer purchases something electronically based on displayed information and this is changed upon pick up, I consider that bad business. Even though the amount of money difference was nominal it's the principal. Good customer service would have been to collect the online charged total and explain the exception; then correct the website. Also their fired rice was not very good at all. Create an account and now I can order online and have my kids pick it up and they don't have to worry about payment. Oh about the food. Delicious. good prices, big portions. We are picky about sushi, and this place didn't disappoint! I didn't know what to finish first after trying a bite of everything. The miso soup was honestly the best I've had. The sushi was amazing. The teriyaki salmon was great. The fried rice was wonderful! The best part, Saturday night and it got here much faster than I expected. I 100% recommend!! The only issue is that they deliver to our house, and the online ordering is so easy, so we're going to order way more than we should. read more

Tried this for the first time tonight. Delivery took over an hour and the food was underwhelming. We had the beef fried rice and the pieces of beef were very large, we prefer smaller pieces. The rice itself was very moist & garlicky and just not that good. We also had the chicken and broccoli which didn't wow us either. The spring rolls were OK. Overall we just were not impressed and would not reorder. As a frame of reference, our favorite is Chinese Kitchen in Naperville; only wish it were closer! read more
