    Sashimi Dinner
    Jason M.

My favorite spot for sushi. The sushi at all Haiku locations are very good. This one is closest to me. The service is always good, the fish comes fresh, and the atmosphere is very elegant. I love this place and recommend this place to all my sushi lovers.

Uni with Quail Egg sushi special order

Just had the most delicious Uni with Quail Egg sushi at Haiku......along with a dinner of Yellowtail sashimi and tuna

Pacific Roll (top pink/orange) and Jungle Roll (bottom)

They just reopened this week after some renovations and seating was only outside still. However outside is set up beautifully with string lights and barriers in the parking lot. Service was great. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive and even helped us pick our food. The vegetable spring rolls were good. It is a very small portion with only 2 rolls cut in half. The shashimi was good and fresh and came with tuna, salmon, and yellow real. At the suggestion of the waitress we narrowed down our rolls to the pacific and jungle. Both were delicious but the pacific roll was just a hit. The sweet potato paired with the crab salad and tuna flakes just went together amazing. We also had a red and white sangria which were pretty weak.

    General tso chicken

The food was very good. Got there before 330pm and ordered general tos chicken with white rice from the lunch menu. Good portion and reasonably priced. Will definitely go back. Service was excellent.

I came here for a birthday celebration. We came on a Sunday evening and we came just in time because we had a party of 8. Afterwards it was pack. I sat first at the bar to wait for my party the bartender was pretty cool and made yummy haikutinis. They have an awesome happy hour Sunday - Thursday 4-6:30pm 8$ cocktails , $4 beer and other bar food deals. My fiancé ordered hot sake that was also very delicious taste like white grapes. For appetizers we got a variety of things that I do not recall the names but it was very good. For dinner I got the jungle roll very deliciousness my fiancé got the sushi regular which was cool as it had a variety of sushi. For dessert we got lava cake and ice cream. The service was fast and friendly. The prices are decent. The drinks were good I would be back and I would recommend if you're in the beautiful Scarsdale area.

Food was good, service unfriendly, could not substitute because computer would not allow. Generally not a comfortable dining experience.

Came here again for all you can eat sushi and I said again because I keep coming back this place is…read moreso good. It's clean quick and they have a really good menu. If you want sushi or if you're not a huge sushi fan, but you wanna come with friends they have options for everyone because I have a lot of kitchen meals that you can pick from as well as raw fish sushi that obviously every sushi lover is looking for I always start off with a miso soup and some appetizer so some that you should get are the rock shrimp the calamari is really good too. Their girls is really yummy too. And then for the sushi rolls, I really like the salmon Nigiri, which is with just a slice of salmon in the rice on the bottom of of course we had to get the classic salmon avocado, and then we ended up getting the lobster salad roll as well as some others And then you can't end it without some ice cream so they have lots of flavors of ice cream that you can choose from and it was so delicious We came here on a Friday evening and I was surprised that it wasn't that busy when we got there, but I definitely got more packed as we stayed longer but the service is so good. They're so fast and attentive. They always come by to fill your water or ask you if you need anything else looking if you need another menu to fill out so this place really goes above and beyond to make sure you are taking care of.

Hawaii Japanese Cuisine - Poke bowl

As many of you know I am cultured. I'm seasoned. In age and in ethnicity. Lightly seasoned? Sure…read more But seasoning nonetheless? Depends who you ask. Oh Desdemona, how unlucky you were. Oh Yelp, how lucky I am. How lucky I always am. How lucky I was to stumble upon Hawaii Japanese Cuisine on the ever industrious Warburton Ave. Saturday Farmers Market. Meredith's Bakery. Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Bread. If you know you know. Anyways. Out in Waikiki I learned to appreciate Poke. I once appreciated Pokemon. What's Politoed up to these days. Surprisingly, or unsurprisingly depending on your grasp of history, Poke is actually a Hawaiian dish. Japanese inspired, of course, but that's why the name of this spot is quite unique (although not catchy). Catch of the day. Rack of the day. So how'd I get here? You ask? ASK ME. Fine! I'll answer. Calm down, needy much? I'm an active guy. I participate in activities. Typically solo, I'm riding solo I'm riding solo solooooo. Man, just imagine walking down the city streets with a Walkman in blasting Les Miz. The dream. Anyways. I just got back from the island life and I was craving some fresh fish, at a sizable size with some balance of fruit, veggies, sauce and quantity for a beautiful price. And I just so happened to be running myself into the ground at the track in Irvington. Or was it that low-lying track in Hastings. The bees. The bumblebees. Maybe the hornets. It was Irvington. The bulldogs. Grrrrrr. I just ran myself into the ground. Sprints for about an hour. Bad hammy. Few months later tore the calf while calfmaxxing. Probably related. First muscle injury in a spinning dixie, gotta have muscles to injure them? Not really but that's what I'll tell myself. So I rip the farmers market. Then I rip the soosh spot, ordered online. Walked in, handsomely. Very friendly and respectful and nice staff and have been everytime I've gone since. The weight of the food in hand was ridonk so I was optimistic. I also got a few desserts down the road. Some hardbody that was completely eyeing down my grass-fed grass-finished hog at the track was somehow now across the street drinking a protein smoothie. My aura stinks of grandeur, but I avoid it. I'm taken lady. Did she follow me? Gross. What a joke. Really put things into perspective. I'm a fat slob, a professional self sabotager. But I work hard for this fat and that's what makes me a special boy. Hawaii Japanese Cuisine has the best poke in the area. They never let you down. I never let you down. Benvolio. As your voice of reason, I reason you to give it a go. A humble hero in Hastings.

The fact that I've been dying for a make your own bowl close to me and am just finding this spot is…read moreinsane! Really need to do better with advertising this spot. I've driven by many times and never even knew they existed! I opted for the build your own bowl and what an experience. There are soooo many options for fixins and for the bowl itself. You can get 2 proteins or 3. For my bowl this time I got the 2 proteins with half brown rice half green salad with kani of course. For fixins I added cucumbers, edamame, masago, radishes, seaweed salad, sesame seeds, crispy onions, scallions, ginger and for 1$ extra avocado. I added classic shoyu which is basically just soy sauce. I wish they gave a better description for their sauces. My partner ordered the 2 protein bowl with brown rice, grilled chicken, shrimp, sweet corn and added eel sauce. Everything was so delicious and fresh. Vegetables had a nice crunch which lets me know just how fresh. Was a little disappointed in the amount of kani I got but was delicious nonetheless. Note the kani is shredded very thinly. For 16$ this bowl is a perfect little lunch.
