Solid Chinese food in a great setting. Their menu said "under new management" so not sure if things have improved, but I thought it was worth 4 stars. Ambiance and speed of food preparation where 5 stars. Food was 3-4 stars depending on the dish. Some of the dishes just didn't have a big enough flavor to get 5 stars, although they did seem like slightly healthier and less greasy versions of a typical Chinese place. Oddly, the restaurant was completely empty at 8pm on a Saturday. Perhaps the "old management" scared everyone away ... hope the new team can figure it out. read more

This hidden Gem on Mamaroneck Ave has great ambience good service and AMAZING Mouthwatering dishes! My only thing was how quiet n empty is was for Friday night. A Foodies Paradise!!! It's light jazz n quiet staff is unassuming which makes it kinda place where U can actually have a conversation. The chef came over n chatted with us abt the meals he had prepared. Young chef named Ki who made an incredible Oyster Lettuce roll called Kaiki Fri that explodes I in Ur mouth with a Soy vinegrette Ponzi dip. HEAVEN in a bite along with their Pikachu Roll poorly named but with an exquisite crunch wIth flavors that come together unexpectedly n deliciously! Wow this was bad. Ordered for pick-up and it was ready 20 minutes after I was told it would be. Wonton soup was terrible. Wok grilled garlic shrimp was bland. Veggies under cooked and shrimp were tough as can be. The only thing I liked was the white rice. I won't go back. read more

last night I order 4 sea food seafood boils, a salmon and rice. The order came up to 150 something dollars I got to my home the lobster tails in the boils we're mushy like you can mash it out with your fingers. The sausages in the boil was so salty that it made my tongue burn, the shrimp were unclean in the shells and it had no flavor like they had it all sitting in water and then they put it in a bag with some oil in there was no taste all the salmon was dry and disgusting. Told by a friend to try Asian legend , I live about 30 miles away, so I decided to take the drive and try it. It was well worth the ride, I usually eat Asian food once a week, now I know where I'll be once a week. Excellent food great service. Pretty disappointed. The restaurant was empty (I'll sock it up to the July 4th holiday) but we were seated right away. The staff I would say did the bare minimum in terms of making us feel welcome. The one thing I do really like about the place is the decor - it's a very chic place. Our 2nd waitress (not sure what happened to the 1st girl) was friendly. We ordered steamed vegetable dumplings, and 2 mains - chicken with mixed vegetables and the basil chicken. My mom had asked for the basil chicken to be mildly spicy, and the waitress confirmed this. Not only did it come pretty spicy, but about a quarter of the way into the meal, my mom tried to cut and bite into something that looked like chicken, but was not that at all. When we called the waitress over, she proceeded to take my mom's fork and try and cut the chicken herself (a big no no). This waitress called another waitress over and tried to explain the situation, and this 2nd woman proceeded to say that "the chef over cooked the chicken". Not sure why you would tell your customer that. My mom essentially lost her appetite and decided she did not want another dish, and the waitresses tried to tell us they wouldn't be able to take off the full price of the dish, but instead could take 15% off! What!! No way. After some debating, they took off that entree but instead charged us $3 for the rice that CAME WITH THE MEAL. How does this make sense? Not sure, but will definitely not be dining at this restaurant again!! read more

My elderly father and I walked in at about 2:55pm. We realized the lunch special ends at 3:00pm, we didn't want to be annoying but we were happy we just made it. The rude waitress denied us being able to get the lunch special. Fine it's understandable, it's about 3:00pm and we didn't want to be annoying. We then got the habachi dinner instead, and we ordered FRIED rice. When our food comes out she gave us WHITE rice ... we told her we asked for fried. She was rude and said the meal doesn't come with fried rice only white rice and that fried rice is $4 extra. We explained that we knew this as it was on the menu and we still ordered fried rice we do not care that it's extra. She took the white rice back and a while later brought out the fried rice, while we were already half way done with our meal. Terrible service by her . Habachi steak , salmon, vegetables and noodles were delecious, but the rice was mediocre at best with no flavor. Maybe because they tried to rush it because of the waitress mistake. Ordered twice. A couple pieces of chicken were rubbery from my chicken and broccoli and very salty. The general tossed chicken were inconsistently cut and way too sweet. There were large and small pieces. Rice comes in a very small portion. Prices are high. I would try again though. read more
