I treated myself to a massage and called to check for available appointments. They told me to come…read morein 10 minutes. I arrived within that time, and the masseuse asked me to pay upfront. I handed her my card, and she informed me of a $5 credit card fee. I was okay with this until she asked for a tip before providing the service. This made me uncomfortable, so I told her I would tip after the service. She then led me to a room, saying she would need another 10 minutes for some reason. I ended up waiting for 30 minutes before she finally started. While waiting, I noticed several signs stating they didn't provide sexual services and that police could inspect the rooms at any time, which gave me really weird vibes. When the masseuse finally began, her technique involved pinching and a weird rapid pressing motion that was just awful. The last 20 minutes of the massage was low effort. I was quite annoyed by the end of it and wanted to be over with it. Despite the poor experience, I still opted to give her a 20% tip and she had the audacity to be upset with the amount and asked for more. I was shocked but stood firm and refused to give more despite her trying to "negotiate" her tip multiple times. She finally processed the tip amount I had decided, and I left. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and I would not recommend this place.

I was a little nervous because I'd never had a massage from a male therapist before, but the woman at the front desk was incredibly kind and reassured me that if I felt uncomfortable at any point, I could let her know. Thankfully, there was no need--Johnny was completely professional, got right to work, and gave me the best deep tissue massage I've had anywhere in the Tri-Valley. But they seem to have imposed a mandated minimum tip amount which is expected before the service. I have no problem tipping, and I always do. But it seemed weird to mandate it and have minimum amounts. But anyway like I said my massage was fabulous. It wasn't the most relaxing as there was a lot of noise from the neighboring restaurants, (think industrial kitchen sounds) but it definitely did what it needed to do, and my massues was intuitive and kind.

She wanted to be paid BEFORE the massage which irritates me, but I paid her. I paid by credit card, and was relieved to see that there was no place to add a tip, since it makes even less sense to tip before a service. Anyway, got in the room, seemed pretty standard that way. Not excessively clean or dirty. The owner was the one that came to give the massage. At some point, someone else came in, so she left for a minute to attend to them. That was also not great obviously. The massage itself was pretty top notch. She found all my problem areas quickly without me saying anything. She adjusted her pressure to what I asked for. So that part was great. But about halfway through the massage, I kept feeling little cold wet drops land on me every couple of mins or so. I'm pretty certain it was her sweat, which of course totally grossed me out. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to embarrass her... but ewe The other part of my review is total speculation on my part, so take it with a grain of salt... To be clear, no one offered ME any "special services," but I'm female, so that makes sense. But let's just say it would not shock me if in the future this place got busted for sex trafficking. Again, I didn't actually see or experience this first hand, but there is a pretty heavy sex vibe here. Regardless of what a great massage I got last night, I don't think I would ever return. Her English is what you would expect from a new immigrant and that is fine with me since I am not there to chat. She is pleasant and works hard to please. Her normal style is deep (or hard) and you need to ask her to back off if you want that. The front-desk and masseuse(s) don't speak much English. And since I'm Chinese, they assume I speak Mandarin (Pu-Tong Hwat), but I don't. I've had 1 good massage and 2 so-so. A shower is available, but I didn't think it was very clean and didn't bother. I usually shower first anyway. Yeah, they do the hot towel thing at the end. $50/hour + $10/tip, so $60. Not a great deal since I know a therapeutic masseuse who charges $75/hour who does a 500% better job. However, getting an appointment with her takes 2 months advance booking. So I go to Bay for impromptu massages.
