    Lo mein

The location is cute with all stores and other restaurants nearby. Plenty of parking and staff was very attentive. I got the lo mein with chicken.

We've gotten takeout from Asian Mint several times (all so yummy), but last night we were lucky to attend a private meal by Chef Nikky and her team. It was incredible - our group was totally blown away by the flavors and the *soul*. Our 5-course meal consisted of: 1. The most delicious flavor burst bite of shrimp, peanuts and veggies in sauce on a giant leaf. 2. Noodle pork app (also in a leaf) - yum! 3. Tom Kha soup of dreams 4. Main entrée - perfectly cooked short ribs in a curry sauce, with gravity defying fried noodles. Presentation and taste both A+. 5. Dessert - sticky rice pudding (pandan gives the bright green color) with perfectly ripe mango. Pictures here don't do it justice. Everything was delicious and even though I was stuffed, I probably would have eaten 3 of everything if I could! It was inspiring hearing Chef Nikky's background and her passion of spreading love through cooking. My heart and belly were happy. Hope to make it to Thailand one day, but in the meantime, Asian Mint will happily suffice. Look forward to trying more dishes at the restaurants.

My fourth Asian Mint location! Needed a late healthy lunch after an afternoon play at the Bath House. This is the only Asian mint location I haven't tried so, headed over to the Upper Crust side of the tracks. I assumed that over here the demanding clientele would make sure things are tasty!LoL!!! Looking at the other reviews for a hint of what to expect, I was surprised they have been here over 3 years!. When I stepped into the place, I was immediatly underwhelmed. The other locatioins are very design forward and this one looks to be thrown together. so much for the atmosphere. Dont get me wrong, its ok but... They hermit crabbed the old Cafe Istanbul space. Ok so the space isnt that great but,if the food makes the cut im happy. I ordered the Crispy red snapper with bok choy, house made sweet chili sauce(could have been sweet n sour form chineese take out place) garlic, bell pepper, scallion. The presentation looked astonishing. However,it didnt live up to the billing. Slightly overcooked, the outter layer was unusually chewy. The accompanying white rice was perfect. My dining companion had the Teriyaki grilled chicken. It was again presented fantastically for a basic dish, had good preperation and flavor. The passion berry iced tea was good as was the Gingertiniti. Overall,I don't think I would return to this location. Flower Child is right around the corner with a little better overall experience.

I love Asian Mint. I usually go to their Forest Ln. or Oaklawn locations, but my family and I stumbled upon this location. Great spot and great service.

Thai food is my addiction. I want it everyday, everywhere, every time! After a lifetime of Chinese, being introduced to the rest of Asia changed my life. Thai, Vietnamese, and Korean have brought a whole new world of tastes and spices to me. Thank you! Anyway, Asian Mint is in a really nice outdoor mall. Just park anywhere and take off walking. A little too warm for the patio, so A/C it is. Wanting something different, we asked about house specials. Glenda got the soft shell crab, which was delicious! Fried very lightly, this crunchy delicacy was wonderful. Being a noodle fan, I tried Pad Kee Mow. Yes, and thank you. Spicy, without making me sweat. Just right! If we're in this area again, will definitely return. P.S. Is wearing your fuzzy house shoes out in public a new fad? Several people in the restaurant were wearing them. Whatever!

    Red Curry
    Lindsey C.

The Red Curry had lots of flavor and tasted amazing! I do wish there was more rice though for the amount of curry that they gave. My friend got the Pad See Ew and she wasn't a big fan of the bok choy in it and said that overall, not the best Pad See Ew she's had but that it still tasted good and the portion size was great.

    Yum

It seems to me that this should not happen ever, but I grant that it's possible that it was an honest mistake. Consequently, we get to spend some scarce weekend time to go to the business and get the duplicate-double charge reversed tomorrow, and will be hesitant to return in the future on the heels of this error. Dining out is a treat until you find that you've been gouged with an obvious double charge. I recommend that you check your statements for recent visits here to ensure that the same error was not inflicted on you as well. Update: we returned to Thai Thai today to give them a chance to make the chain of events described above right, and they fell significantly short. The woman who gave us our refund (for the pre-tax amount, after asking us what we wanted and replying the full amount with tip) did not apologize for our troubles, or offer any additional concessions to make up for their error (running our card TWICE for different amounts at the same time, after giving it to our waiter). I asked for a gift certificate for our troubles/their error, and she refused, still with no apology. See you never again, Thai Thai, for double charging us and doing the bare minimum (not even an apology) to address their "mistake."

Between the four of us we ordered the roti canai -- with an extra piece of roti, since the base only comes with two, roti murtabak, two orders of the pork belly baos, chili crisp cucumbers, nasi lemak, beef haw fun, and bò tái chanh -- Vietnamese rare beef salad. Overall, the food was outstanding. I feel like the restaurant took all the greatest hits from every Asian culture and put them together on the menu. My favorite dish of the night was a toss up between the rare beef salad, the roti, and the pork belly baos. I loved how crispy and flaky the roti was and the curry dipping sauce that it was paired with was super aromatic, nutty, and rich. The pork belly in the baos was incredibly tender, well-marinated, and had a nice balance between lean and fatty parts. If you enjoy sour dishes, you will love the rare beef salad: there is enough lime in the dish to make you pucker. Every bite is a concentrated punch of flavors, and there is a nice variety of texture between the chopped peanuts, thinly sliced onions, rare beef, and crispy rice cracker. If you're in this part of town looking for a dinner spot, I would not hesitate to recommend Hawkers Asian Street Food. In addition to the solid food menu, the service and drinks were equally spectacular.

You can tell they brew it and it doesn't come from a syrup. When I sat down, I was instantly greeted, and there were like four different people serving my table, I think that they all work as a team to make sure everything is covered. The service was just amazing. Restaurant is beautiful, the booths were , small and intimate and you feeling that you in place with privacy and yet part of the group ....kind of interesting how they've done that. But the food! The food was outstanding, first they gave me a complementary appetizer of Jasmine sticky rice with this eggplant chutney, that was very tasty, a teeny bit spicy, but really good depth with flavor. Then my beef Samosas arrived. There were four, wrapped in like a triangle rapper, smaller than the Indian version of the same, and the flavor was very tasty, and corn and small chopped potatoes, yum! The two chutneys that came with it one was a cool cucumber, and the other was this sweet and spicy plum sauce. They made samosas!!! They could be soft and cool, or they could be delicious and spicy, depending on chutney you had them with and you had a third option.... There was a bed of pickled radish and carrot that really sit off the samosas as well and we're just delicious on their own. I devoured the entire thing. Then get the entrée. I had drunken noodles and I added the shredded pork... It was devastatingly tasty!!! the noodles were obviously done it a wok that's been seasoned to perfection. The wide noodles picked up all that deliciousness from the wok and then combined with the pork... heaven ! They had large pieces of bell pepper and tomatoes. very fresh onions... Just deliciousness. I was too full this time to get dessert, but I'm definitely coming back and I will definitely try it next time

There's just been truly so many outstanding experiences I've had in Houston. Regardless, the food was very good and it was authentic, we did get dishes similar to what we got at Street to Kitchen in Houston, which is the most authentic Thai we've had. Food: I forgot to take pictures of two other dishes we ordered, the Thai chicken, wings, and the drunken noodles. But let me start with the complementary sticky rice. I've actually never had a complementary "starter" at a Thai restaurant, so they stood out, and it was a good meal prepper. The dip is an eggplant type of dip so it's not peanut sauce based. It was really good. The best dish was the crab dip with the shrimp chips, the dip was curried and balanced well with the crab. The chicken wings weren't as crispy as we're used to, and there were more on the saucy side, but it was a solid 4/5 dish. The drunken noodles were good and I feel like they had a great mix of veggies, beef, and noodles in the dish, so it wasn't so carb heavy. But we've definitely had better flavor drunken noodles before. Lastly, the mango sticky rice presentation was unlike anything I've seen before, and I loved it. Do I prefer the traditional sliced mango over a bit of rice? Perhaps. But I did enjoy tasting the mango and the condensed milk and a sticky rice together inside the coconut for a change. Service: we went during dinnertime on a Saturday night, and I was so impressed with the level of service we had. Because don't get me wrong, they were busy, but the food came out so fast & we had multiple servers filling up our water and ensuring we're doing okay. We were literally out of there in about an hour, but it wasn't because they were pushing us out, it was truly because everything was so quick. And I loved that strategy they used where we didn't have just one server assigned to us, which is probably why they are thriving here in Dallas. Overall, if you're craving Thai, I would recommend coming here.
