I usually do to-go from Asian Mint, but since this location is typically easy to get in without a wait, I find myself enjoying dining in more. - Service: The service at Asian Mint always gets the job done. It's nothing above and beyond, but I always find my servers to be efficient and helpful. - Food: No joke, I dream of Asian Mint's Thai Fried Rice and Pad Thai Woon Sen. The rice and noodle dish portion sizes are fairly large, so I love having leftovers for lunch the next day. came in for a quick lunch today before my movie around the corner. the place was really clean and not super busy. i used to frequent the oak lawn location when i lived in the area, but have never been to this location. i started with thai tea and fresh shrimp summer rolls. they were great! you get six pieces and it's very filling. i only ate a couple in order to save room for my entree. i ordered pad kee mow with chicken. this is the reason for the lower star rating. the portion was huge, which was great! i took a ton of it home. the flavor and spice level was perfect. i asked for spicy, but not thai spicy since i was going to the movies afterwards. the issue for me was the chicken. it was like an afterthought in the dish. it was tough as all get out and the pieces were humongous and not easily chewable. i ended up tossing all of the chicken. it was awful. next time, i'll pass on he protein altogether. overall, a good and quick lunch with attentive service! read more

Went here on a whim and fell in love with the place. My boyfriend and I love all types of Asian cuisine and this place didn't disappoint. We ordered calamari as an app (if you love calamari I HIGHLY recommend this.), hands down best calamari I've had. BF and I couldn't stop talking about how light and flavorful it was. For entree I ordered the cashew chicken stir fry, and my boyfriend got orange chicken on a recommendation by the waitress. My dish was delicious, and I had plenty for leftovers as the portion was quite large. The orange chicken was fantastic as well, but BF said halfway through he felt it was a bit too much since it was sweet. Probably best to share this dish with someone else instead of having it as your meal. Great restaurant, great ambiance, and great service. Will be visiting again. read more

The food here is good, not fantastic. I am very disappointed in the way they ripped me off. I bought a bowl of the Tom yum soup with shrimp and paid $15 for 90% of water, 5 shrimp and maybe a scoop of mushrooms floating on top. So disappointing to be drinking water as my meal. read more

I had lunch at Asian Mint today and cannot give anything but one star for the meal and service. I ordered the teriyaki chicken. The chicken was very tough due to what appeared to be cheap meat, overcooking, and very thin cut meat. In addition the teriyaki sauce was weak, appeared watered down, and was sparsely applied. I used to absolutely love this place but I'm never going back again after this week. I had my kids (one hip baby) and we were meeting my husband there on his way home from work. We go in before 6 and ask for a table for 4. My husband is on his way. They're busy and the hostess tells me she can't seat me until my whole party arrives. I ask her if she can make an exception. There are empty tables and my child is heavy and my husband is really close (3 min away?). She goes and asks a manager and they say no. I then see two people walk in and sit down at a table of 4, 2 of them already seated so I asked her why they were allowed to sit without their whole party being present. She tells me it's because they were really busy at the time. Hmm. It's busy now and that must not have been long ago. So then I ask her if I can have a table for 3. I plan to immediately order appetizers. She tells me she doesn't have a table for 3. She does. I can openly see two in front of me. Then 3 teenage girls walk in behind me, ask for a table for 3 and are seated immediately. If this isn't the worst customer service and straight up discrimination for having 2 kids with me, I don't know what is. My husband walks in two seconds later and we had a delicious meal at Flower Child which I love and they treat us great there. I used to go here a few times a month and I will never step foot there again. Hockaday Alum owner, you should be deeply ashamed of the way you run your business. read more

Asian Mint is always a great experience for us. The staff is so friendly and they remember what we like to drink and what we like to eat. The food is always delicious. My daughter recently had her 16th birthday dinner there and they were so great. They have the best fried calamari, the Kua Kai is delicious, crab fried rice is amazing, I can't get enough of their iced melon green tea, their Pad Thai is delicious, there are so many wonderful options. After being invited back to give Asian Mint a chance to redeem my last so-so experience, I had no complaints about my dumplings, basil fried rice or green tea ice cream cake last Friday night. Trying out the Inwood location for the first time, I found the outdoor seating a relaxing place to unwind and people-watch. I've been a big fan of Mint for a while and was excited to go to this new location. I've lived in Thailand and know good Thai food when I come across it. We ordered the Spicy Tuna Crisp, Pad Kee Mow, and the Green Curry with Shrimp. All were excellent! The spicy Tuna Crisp were fresh and spicy with a crunch. I highly recommend this for starters. I decided to venture out of my normal choices and go eight he curry shrimp. It was very filing and contained 6 medium shrimps, bamboo shoots and eggplant. Very tasty and well balanced! I have eaten at the Oaklawn location many times, Forest Lane too and Inwood Village a few times. I went with my friend on most occasions. Last night we went to Inwood. It was fairly busy but this did not affect the quality of service at all. (It's always an irritant to me when service is bad at restaurants and being busy is blamed). Anyway, I had the red curry with shrimp which is my favorite and my friend had the stir-fry with chicken, his favorite. So yummy! I also like the green curry. I've had other items in the past. The Pad-Thai is too sweet for me but tasting food is subjective. The restaurant is bright and cheerful. Pleasant atmosphere. I really enjoy going to Mint and will always recommend it to all who will listen. read more

First time ordering. I found the crab fried rice to be very fishy. Maybe someone likes that, but I don't.

Ordered the salmon salad for pick up~ The portion size was 1/2 that of dine-in. And, while the price on-line stated that it was one price...the hostess stated $7 dollars more with tax...even after I provided clear proof. Next, and most importantly, the salmon tasted freezer burnt, was dry, and over cooked. Lastly, I paid with cash and had to ask for my change back, left the restaurant, and forced to turn-around and go back in for plastic ware. This was not a $28 dollar plus meal. I will never return. Too many fabulous restaurants in our area to pay for such sub-par food & service~ They may charge a "mint", but unfortunately the meal was only worth two cents : / read more

I hate to do this because I LOVE the Oak Lawn location and I even follow them on IG. But all locations are not created equal. I ordered out from this location tonight and am pretty disappointed. When I went in to pick up my order there were two ppl behind the bar, I was handed a menu, not greeted with a hello, water or anything. 5mins later when I was the lady says what can I get you, no hello, no friendliness,etc. mind you I've been in this industry. I tell her I'm waiting on a Togo order she asks my name and walks away...3 new orders come out and again the 2 ppl behind the bar pay no attention. So I get up and look at the orders when 1 of those ppl see this and ask my name I tell her and she sees my name on the order and says here you go. I check the order it looks eh ok. Well on my online ordering I asked for extra scallions and extra broccoli I got 4 pieces of broccoli total and no extra scallions. Then this dish is supposed to come with bean sprouts and I've seen 2. I asked for medium spice and there's zero. And I mentioned add lots of veggies and said I'd pay extra and didn't get that. On top of that the beef is dry the snap peas aren't cooked fully and it's SUPPPPER SALTY. There isn't even enough sauce to cover all the noodles. Pretty sure I got a bunk lemon dish. Not sure what they were doing in there and I know they were busy but dang. Come on. I will NOT go to this location again. read more

This is my new favorite! The super sweet bartender recommended a perfect dinner for me. I am required to eat gluten free and they make that easy. I had the chicken coconut soup (to die for!) and the pineapple shrimp fried rice. This was a delicious dish. My only critique would be there were only a hand full of pineapple chunks in my dinner and I would've expected about double or triple the amount. But I'll still order it again! Lastly, the Chardonnay she recommended was perfect for the meal and I love buttery wine, so it was right up my ally. Excellent quality Thai food here. I've dined here as well as ordered take out. Not cheap but fair prices given the portion size, which are massive. It seemed that the portion size they serve dining in was larger than their takeout orders. Service is excellent even during busy dinner hours. Came here on a weekday late dinner (~8pm) and it was still quite packed. They do the basics just right. Thought their basil fried rice was very tasty and they have a solid pad thai as well. In my quest for decent Chinese food in Dallas, this was one of my first stops. I ignored some of the other reviews that noted that this restaurant strangely puts sugar in everything! The reviewers are not lying. I ordered fried rice and threw it in the garbage after a couple of spoonfuls. Complete waste of money because it was the strangest taste. I do not want sugar or anything sweet on fried rice! The crab rangoon had too much cream cheese in it and that wasn't very good either. Always a good choice for Asian food. The fried snapper is my favorite meal on the menu. The entire fish is served whole, but edible.

I think this is my favorite location. Tables are not as crowded as the Oaklawn store and parking is a little better (helps that it's next door to Empire Bakery). Favs are the Tuna Crisp and Kua Kai. Used to have great Pad Thai but the flavor was not what it used to be when we dined in a couple of days after they re-opened the dining room (new chefs??). Still, 4 stars overall. read more

Not worth the price. I ordered online for pick up. Went right on time and food was not ready. It was cold out and the hostess had me sit by the door to wait while they cook my food. I was going to let that go but when I sat down to eat in my clinic the pad thai was dry. So DRY. NEVER again This place is wack. read more
