Having a new found love for Asian food, I've been on the lookout for new places to compare to my favorites, and this is a great spot. The food was very good, I'd put it at a 7 out of 10. Nothing original, but better than average. The service was good, everybody is helpful, and they don't interrupt you every 3 seconds, which some waitstaff think that if they drop in 54 times that they are doing their job. The ambience is like a lot of Asian restaurants, but a little more original with the jungle theme. I rate this a 4.5 and I will be back. read more

I enjoyed my somewhat upscale dine-in lunch experience, especially the first rate food and the nicely decorated dining area. My vegetable chicken lunch ($8.95) was served just seven minutes after I ordered at the counter, where the service was cheerful with a minor language barrier. Everything tasted great. The soup is the best around. It's simple & doesn't include tofu chunks or corn or anything else weird. Beef was sliced thin and was so tender, not chewy at all. Yu Xiang Chicken was cooked perfectly but wish I had known it had water chestnuts, not a fan. Luckily they're the big pieces so it was easy to pick them out. read more

Found a gem! It was our second time and both times were so good! We got Sesame beef for our kids and Jjambong for us and the Sesame beef was savory, crispy and overall so good! Jjambong was a little bit blend but still has some smoky flavor. We tried Mongolian beef this time and it was very good! Not too spicy but has lots of vegetables. We ate here on a Sunday afternoon and it was very quiet. Order at the counter or with your phone. I prefer a paper menu option for ordering so glad it was offered. I am not sure what happened to here, but they no longer serve beer or anything like it, all the ordering is done online, which isn't too bad it's kind of cool. But the food just wasn't quite as good as it used to be. It tasted more like I would expect from panda express than a good Chinese restaurant. This is the first time I've visited since Covid, and it is very possible, that staffing issues could cause this Maybe they have new owners, I don't know. It just isn't as good as it used to be. The restaurant is easy enough to find & around a bunch of other restaurants. The decor was very pretty. Typical Asian restaurants with bamboo sticks & Chinese portraits. The carryout service was quick & easy from my phone call in & pick-up of my order. The ladies were nice. Now to my order: on the lunch menu I ordered the Honey Walnut Shrimp with white rice, crab Rangoon & hot & Sour soup for $8.01 with tax. The soup was just pretty darn good. It tasted fresh & just the right spice. The honey walnut shrimp which consisted with mayonnaise on it was hot & yummy. Glad I tried them out for myself because this dish is very tasteful. Ive eaten at nearly every Chinese restaurant in Johnson County, now I only ever eat at one Chinese restaurant or I make it for myself. I have a long list of traditional recipes and techniques at my disposal, so id like to say im well versed in this subject. Today, I was busy and didn't want to cook and this establishment was nearby and convenient. TLDR: bland main entree, they should rename the crab rangoon to "salty rangoon" and the prices are a little steep, ~19 dollars for fried rice and Rangoons. What I ordered: Chicken fried rice (Dinner Portion) ~11 Dollars Crab Rangoon ~7 Dollars How it tasted 0/5 stars: The fried rice was very bland. it looked like something dumped out of a uncle bens microwave rice bag. It was sticky and mushy (if you've cooked real fried rice you know this is the worst). There was very little flavor and the chicken was just cubed and flavorless. Minimal vegetables and overall not worth near $11. Serving size was also pretty disproportionate to other similar restaurants. The crab rangoon: This is a dish that I can make on my own and enjoy very much. However the ones served here are small, and S A L T Y! Many Chinese restaurants either choose to make their Rangoons sweet or salty, both are good if done well. These were so overly salty I almost couldn't get the taste out of my mouth. The Atmosphere: 3/5 stars: I will give the restaurant credit for this, the inside was very nicely decorated, not over the top with decorations. A bit dark, but that's to be expected with most Chinese restaurants. Seemed very clean but I would need to see the kitchen before I would say for sure The Staff and service: 4/5 Stars A very nice gentleman took my order, he was polite and friendly. He didn't seem to know the menu very well as I asked about a few different dishes. But I can't blame him for that, the menu is quite large. Food did come out very quickly which was nice! Summary: Id love this place if the food matched the atmosphere and staffing. The food just isn't worth it for me. Overall, we were very disappointed! The hot and sour soup and steamed dumplings were decent but the dipping sauce for the dumplings was overly vinegary. The orange beef tasted burnt and we're not sure if it was really beef. The spring rolls had a strange taste, kind of like cinnamon.
