My family and I used to come here frequently before COVID. We would go to a nearby farmer's market and stop here for lunch. We all randomly thought of this place and decided to drive up. Everything was just as we remembered! It was still a quiet and relaxing place, despite being right off of a busy street. The decor gives it a nice cozy and homey feel, like being at your grandma's for Sunday dinner. We were greeted as we walked in, and our waiter was kind and attentive. The food was fresh, and I'm talking right off the stove fresh! There isn't a huge selection like at larger buffets, but everything was prepared well. I'll take quality over quantity any day! I especially recommend trying the coconut shrimp and Mongolian chicken. The coconut shrimp is crispy and covered in a lightly sweet sauce, and the shrimp is fresh (not fishy or overly rubbery). The Mongolian chicken is super tender and has a sweet and aromatic sauce! Overall, a considerable driving distance for us, but it was well worth it! read more

I am a huge fan of Chinese food and have patronized this restaurant for many years. Today, something seemed a lil off in the beginning. First of all the parking lot was empty which I never see. I entered and there were about 4 people eating which I also never see. Past visits have pretty much been a good/full crowd any time of day. As I'm scratching my head about this (not literally scratching), I give my drink order and proceed to serve myself. It's still lunch time, however the food was not fresh or replenished. It looked as though it was crying for help. My daughter who has never been shy about anything eyed her choices then boldly asked the server to prepare each entree for her FRESH. What? "Well you just go ahead lady and state your claim ", I thought. Wow, as forward as I am, I'm not THAT bold! He accepted her request as she patiently waited and after a while her plate was filled with what she asked for and so was the buffet. Now that's what I'm Yelpin' about. We have not because we ask not. The remainder of lunch was fruitful and fresh, pleasingly pleasant and delightfully delicious. How bout that! I so enjoy vegetables a lot so I loaded up on them and a few other things. I initially questioned whether or not management or the cooks had changed. The staff didn't look familiar, but the service was fine. As lunch went on and neared an end I felt better and thought if these folks are new as long as the food is fresh and tasty I'll keep coming. Restaurant is fairly dingy from the outside and the inside doesn't really change that perception, but the buffet was good and a fairly large selection of dishes. Food was tasty. You can also order from the menu. Prices were fairly reasonable. Four buffets and drinks for just over $40.00. Not bad at all. Worth trying. read more

standard mostly cold Chinese buffet, the service is your typical rude ( I don't speak or understand English) served sucks , they try to rush you in and out . think of the rudest behavior from a server you can imagine. and they can top it , on the food part if you can catch something while their dumping it in you might get it warm, but if it sits for a few minutes then it's cold . This is not the best buffet we been to. Prior to eating here we were very skeptical but for a good reason. The food wasn't the best, it was probably sitting out for a while. I liked visiting this small, family owned china buffet restaurant in the past, however my most recent experience completely turned me off of the restaurant altogether. A few weeks ago my daughter and I were planning on eating lunch there, and upon arriving we noticed that the chef/cook was outside the front door having a smoke break. I thought it odd that he was smoking around customers that entered and exited the building, but that's not what put us off. It was him hacking a big spit ball directly in front of us as we were approaching the building. Upon seeing this, we turned around, got back in the car, and went to another Chinese restaurant. Simply put, if the chef was that nonchalant and unconcerned about sanitation around customers, than I can only imagine what his kitchen and cooking style must look like. read more

Been going here for almost a decade. Food is hot and full of different flavors. Favorite dish is their General tao chicken. Crab Rangoon's are filled with a nice sweet and savory cream cheese. But not all Chinese food restaurants have good ones, so that's appreciated. Lol Their chicken on a stick is my sister's favorite. Dip it in the sweet & sour, red sauce. Delish. So my boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try. It's right around the corner from where we live and right down the street from Lucky Chinese buffet. But it's far superior in my opinion. It's a small place and they didn't get very creative with the name but don't let that discourage you from eating there. It's very cozy and clean and the staff is very friendly. They don't have a huge buffet like some of the bigger places but what they do have is really good. The food is always fresh, I love the teriyaki chicken and honey chicken. A pretty good Chinese buffet in the area. The building and inside are kinda drab, but they have a lot of buffet options, especially for the size of the place. I find most Chinese buffets are mostly the same any more, but this place does all of the regular dishes well and they have a couple I haven't seen at other places like coconut and honey chicken. I have been in Kansas City for three months of the travelers. I have eaten at this restaurant more than any other place in town. I have probably been here a couple of dozen times in the three months. The waitresses are always friendly, and think actually managed to keep up with my water intake and keep my glass filled at all times. The food itself on the buffet is excellent, with with most things ranking top notch. There are a few items that I don't personally care forBut that is just my taste. The crab Rangoon's are excellent. The hot and sour soup does not even have to be doctored up with soy sauce to taste good. The stirfried green beans are the best I have ever had. Sometimes they don't have them though, especially at dinner time.The rest of the food is excellent as well. The only drawback is that sometimes it cools off a bit because one of their steam tables does not work well. But they always keep it fresh and field so that's not much of an issue either. Decor and furniture is outdated and needing some repair but I'm willing to look past for good food and good service. Strange little place. Seems dirty but who knows. Carryout buffet is basically 10 bucks for an average size Styrofoam go-box. Soup is extra. You'll need an extra box if you want crab Rangoon and/or egg rolls or order them separately. They won't fit in a box with rice and an entre. Seems like the cashier said they are two for two dollars but it was really impossible to know for sure. A friend dragged me in there against my better judgement. I've spent most of the next day in the bathroom and it turns out my friends has too. Shrimp is battered with the shell still on and then fried...what a surprise and a nasty mess trying to peel that crap out of my mouth. The un-fried shrimp is neither peeled or devined and the little shrimp feet are black. Not just one--the whole container was full of it. The cook staff did not appear to be Chinese.
