Jasmine Garden was a super easy chinese takeout spot with easy parking right out front. You do have to pull off of a busy road straight into the lot, but it's easy to find in the strip of stores and there were plenty of spaces. By the time I grabbed our food and headed back out, the front spots had already opened up again. We did two lunch specials for around $20 total, which feels like a steal for how much food you get and how good it was. We ordered the Chicken with Cashew and the General Tso's lunch specials, both came with soup and a side. The cashew chicken was seriously incredible. A lot of places overload this dish with veggies until it turns into chaos, but this one was balanced with the right mix of ingredients and is easily one of my new favorites in KC. Only bummer: hardly any cashews. Still delicious, but I wanted a little more cashew love. Crab rangoons were hot and crispy with a solid filling even after a bit of a drive home. The fried rice had great flavor, and the steamed white rice was bouncy and soft, not that kind with crispy dry edges. Both soups were spot on, and THANK YOU for including wonton strips. A lot of places skip them and it really can make or break egg drop soup for me. General Tso's had great flavor, but the chicken pieces were a little big and it wasn't very spicy, even though we didn't order it no spicy. Not a dealbreaker, just something to know if you want that classic kick. Inside is clean and cute with tables for about 8 to 10 small groups, the front desk is toward the back, and everyone was kind and helpful. As an Elite, I also loved seeing their Yelp pride around the restaurant. Overall, super solid lunch specials and I'll absolutely be back!! read more

Ordered delivery and it all arrived piping hot. Asked for the lunch chicken Pad Thai to be mild spicy and it had flavor but no spice, which was ok. Lunch chicken Fried Rice was good, like that they don't over load it with weird vegetables. It's simple but tasty. Lunches came with soup and app, got the egg drop (not great but edible) and vegetable spring rolls that were just okay. All and all I'd order from here again. read more

Great service and the price of the lunch specials was unbelievably low. All three of us got different lunch specials and the plates were beautifully presented with very fresh, high quality Chinese food. The special included soup, a large eggroll. The dining room was clean, to boot! read more

May be the best Chinese food I have had in the US. Great food and great service. I'm honestly clueless how they deliver both fantastic food and service at this price point! I'm 65yo and have only had better Chinese in China. I would eat here twice a week if I lived in Overland Park. Virginia is a big drive I promise you will love it. read more

We love Jasmine Garden! This was my first time dining in (usually do take out)... service was great, portions were hearty and very speedy. I tried the chicken garlic sauce combo and it was packed with fresh veggies. The combo plate comes with a bowl of soup, rice, egg roll and crab Rangoon. The crab Rangoon was very creamy and fresh. I recently moved to the Overland Park area and go a lot to the Hamu Bakery next door for their Taiwanese pastries. The stumbled onto this Chinese restaurant. My go to dishes are the Beef Chow Fun and Singapore Rice Noodles. I tried the Singapore Rice Noodles and the curry was perfectly strong and flavorful, just the way it should be. I then noticed the sell frozen homemade dumplings with various stuffing, ranging from $ 10-$15 for 20 dumplings. Definitely going to purchase some. The owner Alice spent time getting to know me while waiting for my order to go. It says a lot when the owner is there. read more

Best carry out operation that I've found recently! Jasmine Garden is on it. Very good portion sizes with more protein per serving than many other Chinese spots (especially with carry out). The lo mein is my go to, but I haven't had anything that I've disliked. The interior is small, and we've only done carry out but I'm a huge fan. read more

We went to Jasmine Garden to celebrate my MIL's birthday. Our visit was great! The service was fast and friendly. The food was very hot and fresh. We were very impressed, and the prices were affordable. Only two small improvements I could suggest--have descriptions of the various dishes, so patrons know which vegetables are included in each dish. And larger water glasses would be nice. I ordered something not on the menu (shrimp egg foo young), which they were able to do because it wasn't busy. All of our food came out quick, hot, and delicious. The portions were much larger than I expected and were reasonably priced. The service was absolutely wonderful, and the restaurant is simple, quaint and very clean. Ordered the beef dish extra spicy and, along with a surprising good level of sweetness, it was delicious. Definitely one of the best I've had in KC. I hate to leave negative reviews but I use reviews when deciding on restaurants and feel I'm obliged to do the same. Ordered takeout twice from here. First time I ordered general tsao chicken and egg rolls. Husband ordered Szechuan chicken. Egg rolls good. General tsao was awful. My husband really liked his and loved how much food we got. So the next week was craving Chinese again and husband wanted to order from here again. I was hopeful that maybe my bad meal was a fluke and this time would be better. I ordered same thing. Egg rolls good. Everything else was awful. Ordered fried rice instead of white rice to go with the chicken. It tasted like rice was stale and had no flavor. Terrible. Really good! I lived in Taiwan for a while and am pretty picky about Chinese food. The only thing I thought needed help was that Kung Pao Chicken is supposed to be quite spicy and it had not even a hint of spiciness. When I asked the waiter about it, he gave me a huge smile and brought out a wonderful spicy chili paste. The waiter recommended GENERAL TSO's chicken which was quite good.
