I visited on a weekday night for some quick dinner on the way home. I placed an order at the counter for a two sushi roll combo, that includes your choice of soup or salad. He was kind enough to substitute hot and sour soup. My partner ordered sesame chicken with a side of crab rangoon. For the price, he had a nice portion of food and it was pretty good. After 20 minutes of waiting on the sushi, I needed to leave. I asked about the status and was told they were out of some things and he would check. The cashier was kind enough to give me a choice of entrées as a replacement, so I went home with some chicken fried rice. It was hot as hades in the dining room, and the utensils are those super flimsy plastic ones. We ordered from here through Uber Eats. Our large order was perfect (nothing missing) when it arrived and the food was really delicious. We had a couple of dishes that had shrimp and the shrimp were nice and big. The Crab Rangoon was very flavorful. I've kind of gotten where I don't order Crab Rangoon from places because it's usually so bland, but this was very tasty! I ordered Double Happiness for myself, which is one of my favorite things to order at places (often under different names). It wasn't overly spicy, but comfortable. There were peas in the shrimp portion that were not great. They were shriveled up and mealy and distracted from the otherwise-great dish. The food, service, and dining area here were much better than what I have come to expect at fast Chinese restaurants, with just a slightly higher price. My dine-in chicken with mixed vegetables all day combo ($8.95) included choice of rice (white, fried, brown +$1, or plain lo mein +$1), choice of sauce (brown or white), egg roll, and crab rangoon. It was nice to have the options, which are often not available at other places. My meal was served just six minutes after I ordered at the counter. The chicken was the real deal here, instead of the spongy, flat, flavorless chicken served at many other places. The fried rice was first rate - very flavorful, and moist, without being greasy - nice! They also nailed the egg roll and the crab rangoon, which had plenty of creamy goodness - mmm! I liked the clean, nice, and new dining area with plenty of natural light and classy instrumental Asian music, while the service was polite and professional, with an interest in feedback. (WEIRD) I then ask if someone will be helping me (after literally standing there watching him cut fish) for a few minutes. No one came out, but I could see them behind the door. I'll start this out by saying I hardly ever eat Chinese food so I don't have too much to compare it to, but I usually don't like it and this food was good. My boyfriend is the one who wanted it and he got the chicken lo mein, Kung Pao chicken, and a side of rice. I got the Kung Pao chicken as well but with a side of plain lo mein. First off, I love plain lo mein! I typically don't like noodles with a bunch of stuff in it, but that's usually how it is. I was so happy they had this as an option. The Kung Pao chicken was ok, not as spicy as I usually like my food, but not bad. You also get very good portions so I had enough for dinner and can have the rest for lunch tomorrow. I'm glad this place is right across the street, we will definitely be coming back. We got our order to go so I didn't take pictures. read more

The food at Wok and Roll is always good. The service, however, was horrible. The styrofoam container broke before the uber delivery person took it. He complained but was rushed out of the restaurant. By the time it got to us there was no sauce left in th container and all of the other items were soaked with sauce. read more

I don't know where to start. The General Tao's chicken was moist, juicy, fantastic sauce with the perfect amount of heat. The Vietnamese Spring Rolls were tender with the perfect amount of bite without being so fragile they fall apart or so tough you had to gnaw your way through the wrapper. The vegetables were fresh and crisp and full of flavor. And finally the Hot and Sour soup by which I judge all Asian food establishments by. All I can say was it was PERFECT! Plenty of veggies and tofu, meat and the body of the soup was perfectly seasoned and was the thickened exactly how it should be. All I can finish up with is this is the only place I will be ordering Asian food from. If the hot food is this good I can't wait to try the Sushi. read more

Good, solid Chinese restaurant that we can always depend on when craving Mongolian beef. They have great hot and sour soup too.

Update- I totally did come back for a small serving of the Hot & Sour soup. So good, especially on a crappy weather kind of night.

Ordered the 3 roll special, and they were all good. The spicy salmon was my favorite.

Literally the best sushi I've ever had, and I'm a sushi lover (it says a LOT coming from me, just trust me). The staff is incredibly friendly and efficient. The portion sizes are very generous - the prices are more than reasonable for what you get. I've eaten here almost everyday since finding out about how amazing it is. Do NOT sleep on this place, you NEED to try it!! Seriously my favorite place in the whole KC area. Thanks for being so great!
