    A19. Pu Pu Platter(For 2)

Visiting Manchester and craving Chinese food, we were happy to find this newly opened spot. The restaurant is nicely renovated with an open, clean kitchen, which was great to see. We ordered the Mongolian Bomb, which come withshrimp, chicken, beef, and fresh veggies and the Traditional Ramen with very tender beef and plenty of greens. The Pupu Plate was HUGE!!two of us couldn't finish it and took leftovers home. Friendly service, big portions, and tasty food. We'll definitely come back!

Happy Chef on Kelly Street is a wonderful new addition to Manchester. It's a small, cozy spot that's mostly geared toward takeout, though they do have a few tables if you'd like to eat there. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. We ordered spring rolls, crab rangoon, Mongolian beef, and vegetable chow mein -- everything was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The prices are very reasonable, and the service was quick without feeling rushed. The restaurant is run by a small team -- the cook and owner was working hard in the kitchen, and Maya. Both were friendly and welcoming, which really added to the experience. Great food, great prices, and genuinely nice people. I would definitely recommend Happy Chef and will absolutely be back.

They kept my Dasher informed so the service was excellent. The Gyoza was excellent, and the Chicken - filet mignon Hibachi was well beyond my expectation. I did not expect the full meal- salad, Miso Soup, noodles AND rice. I ordered Yummy sauce of course- because how can you eat Hibachi without it?? Everything was outstanding. I will definitely be ordering again!! I can't speak to ambiance, but I am sure it's lovely. I can't wait for next time! Such a treat! Don't mind the picture- I didn't want to even take the lid off before I took it. So well packaged!!

It's not authentic Japanese, it's an interpretation of Japanese by Chinese workers and Cooks. Also, Chinese service isn't great and the waiter here isn't attentive and a bit too casual for my taste. The food itself is just acceptable, and for the price not great. The atmosphere also still is pretty weak, and the restaurant is small. It's sort of almost like a hole on the wall. On the West Coast, I've eaten at over 30 authentic Japanese restaurants, and for those of you who aren't Japanese restaurant or sushi aficionados... This food is probably fine. If you know we're good, Japanese food is, don't come here and frankly you may need to drive to Boston to get it.

I'm so conflicted about my first time order there. I ordered online and my food was ready at the…read morepromised time. We were off to a good start. The beef yellow curry I received was absolutely delicious. So what's with my 3 star rating then? Because I actually ordered the beef panang curry. I got a small container of dried chilis, which I added to it, but true panang curry also has red curry paste and peanut in it. The vegetables where those listed in the yellow curry too, so it had no green peppers nor green beans in it. I also ordered the pork spicy fried rice combo. It had an overwhelming fish taste and smell to it. I didn't eat more than two bites of it. I looked back at their menu and it says "a touch of shrimp chili paste" but mine had way more than a touch of it. It actually tasted more like fish sauce than a shrimp chili paste, so it was a bit of a surprise when I tasted it. You also get to chose from Jasmine rice or brown rice with the combo. I assumed that would be what they used to make the fried rice, but I had a side of the Jasmine rice in the same container as the fried rice. I added that with my other Jasmine rice for my curry dish. So that was a pleasant surprise. The combo gives you two vegetable spring rolls and two vegetable dumplings. Those were good. They also included two free crab rangoons in my order, which I appreciated. Those were very good! I'll definitely order those next time. I also ordered the chicken Tom Kha Soup. It was good. They used Beech/brown clamshell mushrooms in it, which was a nice touch. Most other Thai restaurants in the area use button mushrooms and those aren't nearly as good as the Beech mushrooms were. 4 stars on that. So I definitely will give them a try again. I won't try the spicy rice again. Hopefully next time when I order the Beef Panang Curry, that's what I actually end up getting afterall. For now, 3 stars, and I'll update my review after I give them another chance because I do think this restaurant has some promise. I'm hopeful they are able to wow me next time.

I am very enjoy the services that were provided Three of us order three main dishes and mango sticky rice. The portions here are huge for the price. We can't finish it in one sitting because of how big it is. We all agree that the sticky rice is very good, but my pad Thai is too salty. If u want to enjoy authentic Thai, this might not be the place for you. But if you want okay foods that fill you up for the whole day, this is your stop!

It also "gets it" when it comes to food preparation and taste. And finally, the place is such a beautifully cozy place. I fell in love with the restaurant as soon as we entered and things got better as time went on. The day started with a visit to the Currier Museum with a group, and afterwards, we all decided to go to Daw Kun Thai. We live an hour away from Manchester, so with little breakfast, we were ravenously hungry came lunch time. Having visited Thailand many times in my younger years, I developed an affinity to Thai food as nutritious, healthy and delicious. As well, Thai culture and people are as wonderful as you can think of. So when a Thai restaurant was mentioned, I gave it a big thumbs up. The folks in our group from Manchester were singing the praises of their food too We entered and were immediately seated. The owner greeted us courteously and it took a while for everyone to decipher the menu offerings. I had the Yum Talai, a succulent chicken salad with all kinds of vegetables and an unforgettable sauce. Superb menu. We left fully satiated and thankful for such a wonderful place existing in New Hampshire. We'll be back.

We came at lunchtime so asked for the lunch menu, but reading through the reviews, it seems like we should've gone with the dinner menu if we wanted sashimi. The food was as generally good, but we didn't care for the chicken fried rice. We expected fried rice with veggies and egg, but got rice that was doused in soy sauce and fried. Not the best, but we ate it because we didn't want to be charged. The sunrise roll was pretty good but the snapper on top wasn't the best cut of fish which meant there were some chewy bits and part of it tasted odd. The real stand out items were the tempura veggies, tempura chicken, beef teriyaki, and salmon cucumber roll. The plum mule was the best cocktail we tried, but the cocktails were generally good. The dessert mochi was a solid way to finish the meal. $5 per two piece order or free if you pay cash.

We didn't try this sushi, but the Beno boxes had a good value to them. The flavor could have been a little more impactful for the teriyaki. Overall, for Manchester it's just fine.
