It's as if they are trying to run their customers away. There is absolutely no flavor in this Chicken Mei Fun. It's super bland and even the ONE PACKET of soy sauce couldn't save this. The lady in the front is sweet but man, the food is not good. So unappealing and so nasty. Also, chicken in this is super chewy I wasted my money here.

We have been regulars here for a long time. We always get the lunch special. Yummy every time! Prices have gone up a bit, but it is still an awesome bargain. It is now self serve- order at the front and sit down. We always take out.

Disgusting. This "hibachi" steak is definitely not hibachi. Cheap and gross.

This "hibachi" steak is 100% not hibachi streak. Super chewy and gross. The fried rice was ok - kinda bland. Just overall, not great. Wouldn't order again.

The worst service and the place should be a pick up only. Only the cheapest plastic ware one could buy and to go containers to eat your food. Staff is extremely rude. I will never eat here again. Also, they claim not to have a dishwasher which is disgusting. How do they clean their cook ware? Don't recommend eating here and will not be back.

Asian Wok is among only a handful of Chinese joints in La Porte, and fortunately they are pretty good at what they do. I tend to order beef & snow peas, but I've had other dishes here. The food is neither greasy nor overly salty, which is common at Chinese restaurants. It's also made for the masses, in that nothing is really spicy (the General Tso's is a little too sweet, in fact). Hot & Sour soup is okay, if not a little bland. Egg rolls here are actually spring rolls -- the thin flute-shaped type. If you order a spring roll, you'll get the same thing, minus meat. This place has a slew of lunch specials. A good value indeed.

Well damn! Expect the unexpected at Asian Wok. I was debating between cooking and picking something up and my decision to do the latter changed my perception of mom and pop Chinese fare. I scanned the menu and settled on the Tangy Spicy Shrimp and veggie soup. Bonus points...free eggroll for checking in. Score! I received my order within 10 minutes and began my 20 journey home. To my delight, my food was extremely fresh and hot upon arrival. I loved the fact that, not only was my food prepared to order, but you could see and taste the freshness. The shrimp tasted as if the gulf were right behind the restaurant and the veggies as if they had hand picked them from the garden behind their building just for me. I have never tasted Chinese food this fresh from a casual restaurant. Asian Wok...you WOK my world. See you next week AW!

I'm not from this area and was craving Chinese, and found this near where I was staying. I had the chicken lo mein and my husband had the orange chicken. The food came out pretty quickly. The lo mein was good, but not the best I've had. The orange chicken was nice and crispy but the sauce was overly sweet. The servings were large. If I lived in the area, I'm not sure if I would go back very often. read more

Will never be back again. The food takes too long to come out. The egg rolls are really not egg rolls, they are more like spring rolls. The fried rice was nothing more than soy sauce and rice to make it look like fried rice. They did make the fried rice again for us and it was correct. The lo mein and sweet and sour chicken were well cooked. read more

placed online order for pickup. upon pickup I asked for 1 simple condiment something that has been given upon request but apparently the female at the front seem I disturb her phone operation just by asking for order I placed and that 1 condiment request was "NO" they don't have that orange hot sauce. it's on dining tables. This person should stay in the back and not deal with customer. read more

Asian Wok is a family favorite. The restaurant is always clean and well kept. Staff has always been attentive, friendly and welcoming as well as knowledgeable of the different dishes served. The food itself? Fantastic! We have ordered just about everything on the menu, and haven't been disappointed yet. Everything has been fresh, delicious, and they have the best fried rice I've ever tasted! Reasonably priced, they offer take out & delivery too! Give em a try! read more

I've order from this restaurant several times. I order online with my phone and use Apple Pay. I work 10 minutes from there and by the time I get there to pick my food up and it's ready to go. I've grown to really to like this place. I definitely recommend it. read more

This is a great place for a quick, tasty lunch. They have between 30 - 40 different lunch specials, all which come with an egg roll and soup and your choice of steamed or fried rice for $6.25. Everything I've had has been pretty good; I typically eat one of the lunch special designated as spicy on the menu. My favorite is the tangy spicy pork. Takeout from there is very smooth as well. read more

In town a couple times a year and stay at a hotel near this place. Never ordered from here before. OMG, ordered the Hibachi Steak and Shrimp. It...was...fantastic! That with a small order of shrimp fried rice, outstanding! I will definitely order once at the very least once if not more next visit. Way to go guys, found a definite new customer. read more

I always come to this place when I'm craving Chinese. Everything is always so good from the Hunan beef to the lo mein. The salt & pepper wings are my favorite with some of that chili paste. And their lunch special is a deal you can't beat. read more

Manger charged my card did not get my food I called at 9pm seen next morning they called at 11:30 pm with my food after we were already asleep by then, I called asked for refund or another order she had me send screen shots basically calling a liar and didn't rectify problem we order at least twice a week from here i will never order from them again read more

I normally don't finish my food but when I come here I clean the plate. My favorite is the hot dogs here but I've heard the burgers are as equally good too. The service can be a bit slow since sometimes it does get busy but they have a good amount of seating so you can wait for your food. The only downside is that it is small so when it gets really busy it can be hard to find seating area.

She was quick with our drinks and let us look at the menu for a few more minutes. Mom had the Green Tomato BLT, the Missus had the club sammich. But enough about their meals ... I want to review my meal. Their menu lists that the burger is on a brioche bun ... check that one off of the item list. A hearty patty is also placed inside of the bun and along with it are pickles, lettuce, onion and tomato. Check and double Check. Mayo is slathered on the buns, at just the right amounts that make it taste good, but not so much that it slides the innards of the burger all over the place making the chomping experience mushy. Flavors were good, I had just hoped the patty fit the bun a little better. The ratio was a bit more bun sided than oatty sided. My fries, crinkle cut, were seasoned well. Well enough that no ketchup was needed to dip them into for additional flavor. I would have liked a bit more crispiness from a double fry, but these were toothy enough to get a decent mouth feel. The meal for the three of is was about 47.00, so inflation has also hit my hometown dining places as bad as they have hit my current home near The Woodlands. Will i return to eat there the next time I visit Mom? If she wants to go, then yes, yes I would. I would also hit it alone just for their chicken fried steak or chicken. Ciao, Darrell

It's small Chinese place( dine in or take out) The food is delicious ! They have lunch special meal , you get entree with egg roll, rice and soup( The price is very cheap) but between 11am to 1:00pm kind like rush hours.I would like Mongolian style ,sweet and spicy .Also General Tso's chicken is very popular in here!(spicy and crispy) I hope more people can come in here to eat real yummy Chinese food! read more

Wow! I love the food everytime i go. I recommend the Mongolian Beef or Black Pepper Chicken they are so good! As for an appetizer you need to try their Wanton Soup and Crab Puffs they are delicious. I've never been disappointed with both the quality and quantity of all Asian Wok has to offer! read more

Eat here for lunch once a week. I have always had good service and you can't beat the price of the lunch specials. Entree, egg roll & soup for $5.95! If the food was just so-so that is a great price, but the food is EXCELLENT! Always hot & fresh.....with NO MSG! Highly recommended! read more
