Honestly the best portion size of any Asian restaurant I've had and I've had plenty. I ordered the combination fried rice and there was so much meat, including shrimp that other restaurants sometimes skimp out on. On top of that though, it tasted great! To be honest, I only order the Singapore rice noodles from here because that dish is so good, I literally dream about it. Other dishes could be awful and I'll never know because I'll never pass up an opportunity to eat Singapore rice noodles for lunch. They deliver, which is bomb, and the delivery guy is super friendly and remembers my name which makes me feel very ~cool~. I tried this place today. I had a good feeling about it when I walked in, looked around and saw all the fairly standard Asian decor, then heard "Informer" by Snow playing on their sound system. I tried the Mongolian beef, and also got a side of plain lo mein and an order of wontons. I definitely couldn't eat it all at the same time. The prices for the sides were great, though the main dishes were a buck or two higher than other local places. So, that pretty much evened itself out. The guy behind the counter was very upbeat and friendly. The place looked clean. The food itself was pretty good. It did seem like they were a little heavy on the garlic, which is something I think worked out well, but I also have to limit my garlic intake so in the future I'll have to ask them to go easy on it. The rice was standard rice. The beef was good and tender, and everything that came with it was great as well. I did notice there was much less sauce under the Mongolian beef - but I don't really have much of an opinion on that. Most places seem to drench everything in sauce, and I have to mix it up with the rice to absorb it. Oh! I think they also use fresh mushrooms. A few more would have been pretty nice, but they were good! I actually don't know if I've had wontons before. They only had a small pinch of meat in them, but they were pretty decent, and they included enough sweet and sour sauce for everything. The plain lo mein side was actually really tasty. I normally need some kind of meat with noodles, but I could see myself eating the plain lo mein as it comes. I was going to mix it in with my main dish, but just ended up eating it as it was. I think this place has just become my new go-to Chinese place. At the time of this review, Asian Wok has an "excellent" rating by the Douglas County Health Department. read more

Second review for Asian Wok: First, I am still a fan of the place; the food is quick and good. And I will go back a third (and probably 4th, 5th,... time). However... On my most recent visit, I saw something quite frankly unacceptable: An employee in the kitchen was handling what I believe was the rice steamer...and sneezing repeatedly into/over/around the [rice steamer] (and a bowl/plate of rice in his hand). He did not turn sharply away from the steamer while sneezing, cover his mouth/nose, or anything else; he just sneezed about 5-6 times. There is no doubt that whatever was up in his sinuses ended up all over the place! Shortly afterwards, I saw this guy handling the same bowl/plate of rice as he was frying it up and he wiped his nose with his bare hand, then went straight back to his cooking. I really like this place, but such unsanitary practices in the kitchen are totally unacceptable. Chances are whatever the cook sneezed into the rice got cooked out of it, but it's still very unsanitary and unhygienic. Perhaps the owner or health department should offer up some training on how to sneeze or cough around food or cooking equipment. Still, I'll go back again, just because I imagine what I witnessed is far more common everywhere than I would like to imagine. BTW, the crab rangoon and fried rice are still quite good! read more

After doing some Yelp research, I picked this restaurant based on type of food, price, rating, and location. And way to go Yelpers! You didn't disappoint. This place was delish! Some unique menu items, but mostly delicious non-chain Asian food. Definitely Americanized for the midwestern palette, but not in a bad way. I equate it to Asian comfort food! This place is more than satisfying. The most authentic I've tasted since moving to Omaha. The flavors are great. And the sweet and sour sauce is the actual real stuff! I am new to this restaurant, today is my second time to order for delivery. I can say without a doubt that this is one of the best chinese restaurants in omaha and they deliver! (I am a big fan of House of Lee and having this restaurant available just means i have options!) The food is delivered very hot, in fact you can barely hold the bottom of the bag. Perfect for cold nights! Large portions too. I was only able to complete half of my meal which is unusual LOL. I enjoyed the Chicken in Hot Garlic Sauce the first te we ordered. They are not joking on "hot and spicy". That dish will be my go to in the future when suffering from a head cold. Tonight was the Amazing Chicken which did not disappoint. So I've been coming here about five years and they always get my order wrong broccoli with brown sauce on my for sure how you get that wrong but they get it wrong so today what is it a pro something there was a bug in my food and he's going to say that it was a vegetable bug and it's OK and then he proceeded to tell me that I needed my credit card to refund me and I told him I didn't have it. I ordered General Tsao's and crab rangoon; nothing about it screamed to me that this was an exceptional restaurant though. Soup comes as part of the meal, however if I have any complaint about my first visit to Asian Wok, it's this: Due to a mix up with the group in front of me, they ended up recieving my rangoon and soup. I asked the workers behind the counter about it and they said they'd prepare more rangoon and soup for me, however in the end they only gave me my rangoon. I ordered takeout from here kind of on a whim when I had some time to kill in the neighborhood, and I'm glad I stumbled onto it. My meal was SO GOOD, and it was ready well before the time promised.
