Great food and portions! Ordered for takeout; best part was that we could order online.

This was by far the worst Chinese food I have EVER had. The chicken was brown and chewy and not like chicken at all. The crab Rangoon was stale and chewy and impossible to eat. The sesame chicken was soggy and mostly fat. Save your money and time and don't order from here. I wish I could get a refund since we threw all the food away because it was not edible. I would've rather spent the ten extra dollars to order from literally anywhere else. If I could give a negative star review I would, I hate that I have to even give it one star. Don't make the same mistake we did and waste your money on this place, you'll end up throwing your money away. read more

You know I used to order food here all the time but this last time there was something "fishy" about my food. After several bites I ate something that literally tasted fishy. I don't eat fish, the smell and taste make me sick. I never had this problem before so I called and the gentleman I spoke with was eager to correct it or refund me. We agreed I would bring the food back the next day and he would leave a note with my name. At this point I would have had no problems and would have still given 4.5 stars but when I arrived the next day a different gentleman who was there decided to treat me with disrespect. First he claimed I ate all the meat in the dish, which I didn't and then he claimed they cook 100 or more of those dishes everyday and how could mine have a fishy taste. I asked for my refund as at this point I wasn't interested in eating the remade food and was feeling attacked. He tried to give me 80% of the refund and when I mentioned it he gave me the rest and started making fun of me. He told me I couldn't eat their food because I would always have that fishy taste. I was offended by his "blame the customer" behavior that I told him I wouldn't eat there again. He then went on to talk trash to me as I left the store. I don't recommend eating here because as soon as there is a problem they make it your fault. read more

I ordered garlic chicken and this is what I got. A whole bunch of carrots in an orange sauce which tastes like the red sauce you get with sweet-and-sour chicken or pork. And I couldn't even find a piece of chicken in it. So I called Asian Wok and told them about it. They said bring it in and we will look at it. So I drove all the way back there and the girl behind looks at it and says, "Well that's what our garlic chicken looks like." Then I said, "Well I've had garlic chicken at other places and it is in a brown sauce and not in this sweet and sour sauce and there's actually chicken in it." She poked through the food with a fork and pointed it something that was about half the size of a penny and said, "Well, I think that's chicken!" I then asked if I could order something else but she refused. Honestly, I couldn't even eat it, it was so sweet. And it was just a bunch of carrots! So I spent $13 on rice and carrots. I love this place. I live just down the street from here so most of the time we go in to eat but sometimes we'll order online and get it delivered. The sesame chicken is to die for. It's so good, it's really unlike any other sesame that I've had before. For the amount of food you get the prices are definitely resonable. My husband and I come here so often that the staff knows us now. The dish called amazing chiken is also really good. It's a little spicy but not too bad. First, I have lived in the neighboring city my whole life and have grew up on a local Chinese restaurant there. When I moved to Omaha last year I had difficulty finding a phenomenal take-out Chinese restaurant. FINALLY MY SEARCH IS OVER! 1) They have THAI TEA! And it is delicious THAI TEA! 2) SOOOOUPER nice staff! Apologetic about his WiFi being janky at first and having to swipe my card twice but I was like "Dude, I am a walk in order for carry-out. I have to sit and wait for my food anyway. It's chill." He felt really bad. Seriously, not a biggie. 3) On to the food! Normally I have "issues" with Sweet and Sour sauce, egg rolls, chicken for S&S chicken, and the mess. *The sweet and sour sauce was great! For once I didn't get any weird alkaline/metallic after taste in my mouth like from most take-out Chinese restaurants. Plus it didn't get all globular. It consistently stayed saucey. *Egg rolls didn't taste funny and neither did the chicken. *Also, i liked how they kept the chicken dry and didn't add my sauce to it. So when I got home, it wasn't soggy. I could add as much as I wanted. *No mess! They have been paying attention to how they pack their carry out bags because not a single drop of the sauce from my beef and broccoli was leaking into the plastic bag. Which was AWESOME! They have Pad Thai in their menu, which I am thoroughly excited for and can't wait to order from here again!! read more

Don't let the Bag-n-Save parking fool you. Wonderful neighborhood Asian Cafe. Besides the traditional Chinese favorites like lo mein, sweet-n-sour chicken, pork fried rice, etc... The owner (who previously managed a fine dining Chinese Restaurant) strives to serve up some more traditional fine dining Asian dishes such as Asian Crispy Egg Noodles, Pork Loin in Lemon Grass, Hot Braised Pork and unique Chef Specials that are posted daily. They make sure all menu items (too numerous to mention) are carefully prepared with fresh ingredients and sometimes you will catch your entree done a tad differently because of that- but I appreciate the high quality. Take out is offered, but it is worth it to eat in because of the comfortable booths, clean, modern and bright atmosphere, flat screen t.v.'s and great service. The only drawback is instead of pots of tea, they have throw away cups (but heck- it is clean) and the appetizers are what you can get elsewhere. The soups are always fresh. Prices are inexpensive for what you get and only $2.50 more at dinner. Tip because they will remember you and your preferences. EDIT: The owner has beautiful cups of tea and chopsticks are now available. Try the "fish sauce" if it is available. It is not fishy but delicate, sweet, tangy and mildly spicey. There are a lot of Chinese food places in Omaha, and Asian Wok is one of the places that I will frequent. One because it's close to home, and two because I like the food AND PORTIONS. What sets this place apart from the other restaurants is that you can get a range of dish sizes depending how hungry you are. They have large dishes and lunch portions which would satisfy most. However, when I go to a Chinese food place I have to get an egg roll and crab rangoon. This place has a few "specials" like the sesame chicken and they give you half of a large to-go box with sesame chicken and rice; the other half they put an egg roll and a crab rangoon. Perfect! I get a little of everything...without all the guilt. The best part is that it's under $6! The atmosphere is just ok. I usually take it to go. They are super quick with orders btw. If you do want to stay they have booths and tables. It is a little odd that they have a table in the back with what looks like a family area. Overall I enjoy this place. Nothing special but satisfies my hunger. I will go back when I'm in need of my perfect portion. read more

We had dinner here yesterday and have a few other times as well. I really like it. The service was friendly, the food was very tasty, and the atmosphere was okay. I had the special which was Vietnamese Grilled Pork over Vermicelli Noodles that had vermicelli noodles, pork, lettuce, cilantro, shredded carrot. It was very good. I also had the Egg Drop soup that I loved. It had bits of corn in it and has to be one of my favorites at this restaurant. The prices are in the proper range. I've ordered here a half dozen times and the food is usually pretty good. However, two week's ago I ordered sweet and sour pork and it wasn't edible. The breading was saturated in grease and the pork chunks were dried out and rubbery. I may still order from here but not that same dish. read more

Food quality was good, but the service quality was exemplary. I called at 6:15 pm last night and our order was at our house by 6:33 pm. I mentioned that my fiancé would sign for it because I was taking my son to scouts. The driver showed up quickly, smiled and said "I knew you were hungry and need dinner before scouts". Wow. The food was piping hot, fresh and well proportioned for the price. Asian Wok is a friendly Chinese restaurant that my boyfriend and I frequent often. We love their service and the food is by far one of the best in Omaha. It's cooked to order, always fresh, and the service and pricing is always great. We like Szechuan beef and General Tso chicken but if that's not your cup of tea, ask the staff and they will recommend a good option for you. Staff is always courteous and friendly! One of my favorite places to go out to eat. The staff is always very nice and attentive. The food is made to order and is very fresh. I'm a big fan of the wanton soup and sesame chicken, but I've tried almost their entire menu by now. Overall, we enjoyed our meal. I think the prices are high but the portions are huge. Plenty for day two meals. We ordered Crab Rangoon, shrimp egg rolls and potstickers. The Crab Rangoon were good. I liked the addition of green onion. Couldn't really detect any crab though. The shrimp egg roll was really good. Nice balance of veggies and shrimp. But the other two diners didn't like them. The pot stickers were just okay. They could have been from trader joes. Nothing special. Standard dipping sauces. The egg drop soup was some of the best I've ever had. Rich broth. Textured with bits of chicken, corn and egg but still simple. One of the main reasons I'd go back actually. My brother got the Kung Pao beef. Loaded with beef and peanuts. Good amount of veggies and came with large amount of fried rice. Could have had some veggies in it but it was fine. My daughter got tofu and vegetables. Lots of tofu. Nice assortment of vegetables and really good flavor. She was very happy. I got the pad Thai. The noodles were cooked well. Nice flavor. But hardly any shrimp or chicken and not one piece of beef. It was advertised as having all three. No tofu. A few shredded carrots. Disappointing and at $9.50 it was basically noodles. My main issue is that it did not have the ingredients stated on the menu. I wanted some bean sprouts, cilantro. Maybe a lime slice but again, overall, the flavor was good. I ordered on line. Beware, they charge extra if you order online which makes no sense to me plus a delivery charge which is fine. It was about an hour and the delivery guy was super friendly. Honestly, we would have tipped more but with four dollars in delivery and online charges we only tipped an additional four bucks. That combined with the extra charges totaled 20% of our bill. Which is also a bit high for delivery. I mean, no one's coming in to plate it or clean up after all. I'd definitely tip big for clean up! Overall, I'd try it again on a night I don't want to cook but I'd pick up the phone next time! read more

Nothing like a Nebraska blizzard to bring out the desire for Asian food. Okay, well that may not be entirely true. But after being snowed in all day, my mouth wanted chicken lo mein. Delivered cuz this girl is not brave in winter weather. One of the Asian places near me didn't have good reviews here on Yelp, and I trust my fellow Yelpers. So I tried Asian Wok. Lo mein, cranberry juice for my beverage--which surprised me on a delivery menu--and when I asked if they had any desserts, the said they "only" had donuts. Only donuts? They might have said they only had gastronomic gold. And the guy on the phone was super nice, as was the delivery dude. The food? So-so, but really huge servings and nothing to actually complain about. So...snowbound + craving for Asian comfort food + beverage that doesnt usually go with Asian food + donuts + friendly staff + food that wasn't spectacular = an experience I can still recommend. We order delivery from this place and have not been dissatisfied until we ordered delivery this last time we were half way thru our dinner when we realized we got no sweet & sour with our crab Rangoon I called they were very accommodating but after we called we realized that we got someone else's very similar order we ordered medium Hot & sour soup but got small. When they came back I showed the driver to make sure it was the small H & sour soup he said yes that he would be back with medium. Working just down the street at a hotel off of 90th and Dodge street, my coworkers and I order from Asian Wok all of the time. Out of all of the Chinese delivery restaurants in the area, they are by far the best, and who we recommend to most our guests. The delivery speed never fails to impress me and the drivers are always friendly and pleasant. Our only downside I can think of is that the prices seem inconsistent. While we order the same thing every time we call, the price always seems to come out differently, but within a dollar or two of the previous time one way or the other. It always comes out reasonably priced with large portion sizes (often a second meals worth out of a lunch or dinner special), so that is more of a joke for us than anything else. I've never been inside, only ever had it delivered, but I highly recommend it. read more

Disappointed in how the manager handled the situation- I ordered food for myself and employees- everything was great except for my Pineapple Chicken. I took two bites and it did not taste right. I have eaten here for years and never had an issue. I called to let them know to look into it and the manager called me a liar but he would refund my money. I never asked for my money back. He then demanded I bring them back my food. When I told him I had already thrown it away he said I needed to bring it in so they could see it- again insinuating I was lying. I went there after work to pick up the money and to let them know I was disappointed. The same man I spoke with earlier then started yelling and swearing at me and threatened to call the police if I didn't leave. The other employees and myself stood in shock at the behavior of this manager for a moment before I left. I can't understand any reason he would act this way unless he knew there was something wrong. read more
