These people are amazing. Several years ago, I purchased a firearm in southern California and had it transported so I could complete the DROS nonsense. I could not find my paperwork as I was interested in selling the firearm. I called, explained my situation, and that all I had was a receipt with the name Chelsea. They transferred me to Chelsea and she said se'd look into. No response. I'll called back and she said she emailed it to me. She sent it again. I didn't get it. I called and she suggested looking in my Spam folder. It wasn't there. I called back and asked if she could send me a paper copy and said she could get one out Tuesday. Perfect. So I 'm going through my emails and deleting several and was going to empty my trash folder, but I always look one last time before I empty it. What do I see? I see Chelsea's two previous emails that went right into trash, bypassing my inbox and Spam folder. I downloaded the DROS to my computer. I called my Internet Service Provider and the fault was theirs. Something in their system was dumping emails into my trash and not my inbox. That problem is now resolved. But I can't thank ASP enough for their patience and making every effort to help me...and in spite of me being annoying, they were nothing but patient and courteous . A++++bin my book. read more

Spend about 30 seconds in store and told me everything I need to know. Very unwelcoming, 3 employees and just myself not one person seemed happy to see a customer and was not helpful in anyway. Not a single hello, not a what you looking for. Very low inventory, and everything over priced. Want to support local gun shop however no reason to ever go here when I can go turners or any other bigger store and have happy eager employees wanting to help, significantly bigger inventory, and significantly cheaper price. read more

Came in for ammunition, got denied due to moving and it had been years since I purchased a firearm or ammunition. They explained a possible way to rectify the situation and I tried it. Came back as suggested and it still didn't work (thanks California). Only possible solution was buy a new firearm/transfer one to reset the DROS system. Ended up buying this beauty due to the great pricing and customer service given. It says they open at 10 online I walk in at 10:30 to a bunch of little barking dogs Everyone behind the counter looked at me like I was crazy and then one of the guys says we don't open until 11 like he was irritated. How times have changed... I've supported this place since the opening and i have always recommended locals to buy from here. I never had an issue before. I call in to ask a couple of questions and i get "Cool Guy" on the phone. Too busy trying to impress whomever was within earshot, but not attentive enough to follow along with my question. He couldn't quite follow the chat and resorted to sarcasm when he failed to grasp the concept of my conversation. I was not lecturing this young man on physics, but merely asking a question in relation to the very industry he is affiliated. I never got my answer but i will find the solution elsewhere. Do I recommend? HELL YEAH Yelp. The owner is the absolute best and super nice. Being a gun shop owner in Comi-califorina isn't easy. I go here for just random things sometimes just to support the store and the 2nd amendment. I do understand people's comments about some of the employees here thou. Prices are way more than pretty much any other gun store. Hours are not very accommodating.

I have come to learn that small local business is way better than national chains that only know pricing and inventory. Speaking with people who actually shoot. I was sad that they moved and the new location doesn't have a range, but that's commercial leasing for you. I've purchased several firearms from them and sold several with PPT. Highly recommend IF you're a level headed person. If you're just about the cheapest price or only inventory then hit the Corp big stores, but if you're into supporting local, come on down. If you find yourself in Vacaville area, this is a place you wanna stop even if you don't plan on buying something trust me they experience as well worth it most gun shops have that I have the biggest barrel or the nicest rack on my gun jokingly what I mean by that is sometimes the experience, and even the ambience of the customer service is more driven toward someone that looks the part or is dressed apart, I will say if you were looking for a place that's going to welcome you and educate you and have a friendly atmosphere. Do you want to go to this place? I was there in and out it had the best service ever. They said hello and asked if I had any questions just let them know they walk me through their opinions of the firearms. I looked at and gave me insights about the firearms. I didn't know about as well as compared them for me. No pushy sales like attitude no egos just straight up wholesomeness and probably the best customer service you'll get if you go to any gun shop, diverse atmosphere workers they even had some store mascots that were super friendly. They had an area to sit down if you brought your family or your kids, because it's truly a place for both the active enthusiast and a normal peace of mind safety person like myself now I know not everyone's into guns and that's OK they do sell T-shirts, targets and pepper spray if you get a chance and you're into weapons or you just want to know more because you're unsure go talk to these guys and gals they'll take care of you. Always a pleasure going here. I recently used them as an FFL for an outside firearm purchase and the process was pretty seamless. When my gun arrived they called me the same day, and the whole paperwork process was quick and easy. It's nice that they still allow people to used them as an FFL for outside firearm purchases because I've had places turn me down for FFL use. This is probably the only place I'll be going to for my firearm needs from now on....until I leave California, that is. read more

This is my go-to pistol range. I've been coming here since they opened a few years back and have had a great time each time. I usually come here to shoot on weekdays because like any range, they get packed on weekends. Although they can be packed, I luckily have never had to wait for a lane. They sell ammo here as well, and sometimes I buy it from here, and sometime I come with my own ammo. They also sell lots of pistol and rifle accessories here as well. I have never purchased a gun here, but wouldn't rule that option out in the future. The staff is pretty cool as well. I'll be back sooner than later, lol. read more

The only reason they are getting 1 star is because they were open despite the issue with covid-19. I went into the store the other day and wanted to inquire about the transfer fees for buying a firearm online. When I get there: Sign outside said 6 persons in store at a time. I walk in and about 10 people in the store. I wait for about 5 min. When its my turn I'm greeted with a "whats up" by the employee. I ask if they do online transfers, he said sure and I said that is great because I found some great deals on AR lowers for like $45. He says yea we can do the transfer but to my surprise the transfer wasn't $50, it wasn't $60 or even $90. So yep $100 for a transfer from online purchase plus DROS. The employee went as far to tell me that with the DROS, it would be about $150 to get my $95 lowers from them. I told him that I did a transfer before in the orange drive location and it wasn't that much. Of course he said, "Well that was a long time ago". I then said so $150 for $95, why would I do that? He just smiles. SO BEWARE if you find a great deal on cali approved firearm, DO NOT use ASP for a transfer cuz you will pay it right back to them with the fees. THAT IS TOTAL GARBAGE to charge that much. I'll go to the AFB and buy there before stepping foot in that place ever again. Try pricing your merch competively and you wouldn't have to jack up fees! read more
