She took the time to explain the entire procedure clearly and was very patient with me throughout the appointment. Do not trust these people with your teeth. They are either incapable of quality work, dishonest, or both. On one of my teeth they gave me a filling and in doing so cracked a previous filling, when I went back because I could feel the crack, they told me I now needed a root canal. I went to another dentist for a second opinion, all the tooth needs is for the filling they damaged to be repaired. On another tooth they gave me a crown and I've had extremely painful temperature sensitivity ever since. They told me that tooth also needed a root canal, which was not discussed prior to getting the filling. The other dentist said that the bite is still high, so I may need the root canal, but adjusting the bite may also solve the problem. I paid them over $2,000 and they did more harm than good and tried to sell me on over $6,000 of unnecessary work. I went back several times because of these issues and they refuse to take responsibility for the damage they caused and their lack of transparency with the crown. This was my first time visiting Aspen Dental in Altamonte. I hadn't been to a dentist in awhile so I wasnt sure what to expect. However, the office was clean and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Kayla was my xray technician and she was prompt, friendly, and made the experience fun and easy. Don was also very helpful going over my cost estimate and scheduling me in for a cleaning. He worked with me to find a time that fit my schedule. Dr Hwong did a great job with my treatments and was thorough for my exam! Fran in reception was very friendly and fun to talk to. She provided me everything I needed to get checked in! I brought my wife for treatment, the lady did a estimation cost, after I paid everything when they put the implant she change the numbers and charge me more money if I did not pay they would not put the implant. she change the numbers many times first she wanted 3k then 2k at the end after paying the office over 10 k she had a bill for 1.5k she said I'm sorry because she made a mistake. well that is not all, the implant was put wrong her gum is swollen I came back for they to fix it and the young white girl at the reception ask for more money being so rude. It has taken me a year to write about my horrible experience at Aspen Dental. Every day I am reminded why people fear the dentist. I had been so fortunate before Aspen Dental. The unnecessary procedures Dr. Brittlebank encourages and the heavy handed, terrible work both she and Dr. Hoang do. Grinding down healthy teeth for an unnecessary bridge. Then spending an hour and a half grinding the bridge that does not fit, forcing it to fit. Making a flat, smooth, non tooth like surface to press food into my top teeth. I went back the next day to ask why my bridge was like this. Dr. Hoang apologized, tried to take it out right then. Pressured me to the point of tears. Then offered me a refund. I left. They have sent me to collections for the balance I hadn't paid and did not give me a refund for the portion I had paid. I have called on numerous occasions and they will not give me a refund. They said they'll redo the work. Why on Earth would I let them in my mouth again? That's crazy. Dr. Hoang offered a refund. They need to honor their word. I will do everything I can to save people from having this experience. I have found a wonderful dentist. That listens. Does not do unnecessary procedures. And is extremely kind. A good person. Service overall needs improvement, new manager notes she's only on staff a week and hasn't figured out how to be useful other than collecting payment. Note staffing issues as if they were unaware when double booking appointments. Over all needs personnel training, equipment maintenance (x-ray machine was out of service) and better time management. Greed should not trump patient satisfaction. I just just found a new dentist and they laughed at the bills from Aspen They not only tried to oversell procedures, they would not perform the basic cleaning unless I paid them $492. The original amount was $2,041 less the insurance discount of $969 and the insurance payment of $579. They wanted $492 from me and all I asked for was a new patient exam, x-rays and a basic cleaning. A deep cleaning is around $400 and they charged $2,041. I'm new to this area and needed a new dentist. read more

I was very disappoint with the service received prior to my appointment. I made appointments for my husband and myself and were told that someone from the office would call us to verify our insurance information and they would let me know if they were in network or not. They called me one day before the appointment and ret the call to let me know if I was or was not in network. I had to call they 4 times to try to confirm if they were in network. well it was 15 min prior to my appointment that I called and said if they were not able to varify the information I was canceling my appointments. She maracasly called on back 5 min to appointment and said we were not in network. Just so you know I did call my insurance befo scheduling the appointment and they were. I think they need to fine a better system to varify insurance and not wait till literally the last couple of minutes to verify it. So years later, I finally found a practice that didn't try to "sell me" something I didn't need like Aspen did. Telling me I needed a "deep cleaning" as did several other dental practices! Their hygienist technician told me, you have "plaque induced gingivitis" and no way does that require a deep cleaning. She said on our scale of using A to D to rate the condition of patient's mouths with A being in the best condition, you are a very light B, almost an A and she also described an "A mouth" as one whose teeth are cleaned every 6 months!! Not impressed I did a full dental plan that involves extraction Crown and a bridge also deep cleaning there was Poor communication along the way and across the board and I had significant pain due to removing so much enamel I complained for 4 weeks until I received some kind of gel that reduced the pain significantly knowing that that option was available why didn't they offer it same thing with my bridge they did not apply that material now it's too late I have the bridge on and I have pain and I can't eat very well on that side did not tell me how to proceed to resolve the issue with the extracted tooth they did not communicate appointments very well and they did not act personably it's a horrible horrible experience overall. read more

We had two wisdom teeth removed here and it's been a nightmare, when the first tooth was pulled my husband started bleeding profusely and there was blood all over the floor because the dentist touched a sinus pocket, they demanded both teeth were pre-paid so I went ahead and scheduled the second extraction as it had been paid for. My worst mistake. The second extraction has not healed properly and just became infected, now I have to find a good dentist to check on it and see what is happening. I asked them for the x-rays and never got them. The girl responsible for scheduling appointments was extremely rude when I told her we were coming by next Saturday, just to later check with the dentist and return saying "oh I'm sorry it's ok if you come by Saturday". My first visit at this dental office was also my last. This has got to be one of the most expensive and unpleasant dental offices I've ever been too. After examining me, they basically told me that my teeth were in such bad shape that I needed a ton of work done on them. I was skeptical because I take good care of my teeth and I always have. They refused to do a routine cleaning (which is covered by my insurance) claiming that "it would do me no good." Then a very business-like man told me that I needed a deep cleaning and other services and that it would all cost me around $1400 out of pocket. I was so shocked that I couldn't even speak. feeling the greed of this place and the fact that I was being taken advantage of, I declined any further treatment and left. Talk about scaring away a potential new customer! The dentist my daughter and I saw has no bedside manner. She needed a simple filling which she has had at 2 other dentists with no issues. Here she's in a lot of pain and tears because this guy and his assistant are incompetent. The assistant applied the numbing agent in the wrong place so the novacaine shot was quite painful. For me, I was on a follow up appointment to get a mouthguard for sleeping. It was way off fitwise and their solution, cram it in.. make it fit. When I let them know it was very painful they got pissy with me and the dentist said "there's gonna be some pressure" all in a snotty attitude like it's my fault they suck at their job. I got up out of the chair and walked out on the spot. I have had broken bones and lacerations requiring stitches and gotten through it like a champ. I have come to this location a few times and every time my experience seems to have an issue. Whether it is getting charged for something I did not need/ask for or being asked to wait in the middle of my procedure so the dental team can help someone else. At one visit I waited in my chair for almost two hours (with tools in my mouth) waiting for the dentists to come back. I am a patient person and understand that things happen, but this was ridiculous. There are a couple of professional people that work here but there are also a few very unprofessional people that work here. I had an experience with a dental assistant that was helping the dentist work on my teeth in one of the rooms. The dentist assistant got up and stayed behind me (While the dentist was working on my teeth) and started talking about my teeth to the person in the door way in front of me. I could see here reflection in the TV and she was talking about my teeth and how it was taking so long (in a negative/dramatic fashion). The female dentist that was working on my teeth was very professional and she ended up telling the girl to sit down and focus. Unfortunately that dentist no longer works there, which is probably due to the unprofessional environment. I do not recommend this aspen dental. This was my first time at this office. Did not know what to expect, was very pleasantly surprised. Clean neat and tidy professional dental office, with very friendly efficient knowledgeable staff!!! Everything was done on tightly manner and the office manager explained options clearly. There was no pressure sales and I would recommend this dental office to anyone. UPDATE: Went for my procedure... Extraction of a root and crown prep on tooth next to extraction. Sounds horrible right? Best experience ever!!! All done in less than an hour.... I was given a short term 7 month treatment plan that was supposed to end February 1, 2022. Needless to say, it did not. I wanted to close the spaces between my teeth and they gave me Invisalign. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! My teeth did not come out as they had shown me in the before and after scan and now I have spaces that didn't exist prior! Not to mention a crack in my tooth! The main doctor is on maternity leave and her replacement is beyond rude. Waiting for my final trays was HELL! The plastic tray that I was left with was peeling in my mouth making me swallow bits of plastic! Finally, a temporary tray came in while they ordered refinement trays to give me the look that they originally showed me I would end up with...the look that I paid for.....at last! Two months later I am picking up the refinement trays and they tell me that they have to space my teeth even more! After I expressed apprehension and concerns THE DENTIST CAUGHT A NASTY ATTITUDE AS IF I DID THIS TO MYSELF! I went to Aspen Dental to fix a broken molar resulting from my grinding my teeth when sleeping. Instead of a cleaning, they gave me a deep cleaning and pretended to do another one in four months. They prepared a treatment plan and made me take a loan to pay for it when according to my dental plan, I only needed to pay $549. They charged $1,700 in addition to the $1,300 they charge to Delta Dental. When the person finished cleaning my teeth, she gave me an electric toothbrush, and I told her that I didn't need one because I had one, and she said that now I had two "because this one is yours". She never mentioned that they had included it in the so-called treatment plan. I have been paying for a treatment plan ($99 a month) in which half of the services have not been rendered and will never been rendered because I will never do business with them again. For almost a year, I have been trying to contact them because I need to stop paying for services that I have not received. They have ignored my calls so far even when the person that have answered has been telling me that the manager will contact me. I filed a complaint with the BBB, and they wrote to the agency that they will contact me to solve the issue. They have not contacted me, and their lack of response clearly tells me that they have no intention of contacting me, they are just letting time pass because after a year, they will collect the money they have illegally charged for services not rendered and I will not be able to seek legal action to recover my money. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a health care provider in my entire life. Please don't do business with them. read more

After waiting the nice front desk lady to finish her phone call, I was told that because they were 2 appointments behind (only had 1 X-ray machine available) they could not see me and I had to be rescheduled. Declined that option. A very neutral experience. Just thought they could have called me before I left home so I don't waste my time. In 2015 I had two bridge procedures performed by Aspen Dental financed by Genesis Credit. The first procedures were performed at the Aspen Dental location in Tallahassee, Florida, it took several attempts by Aspen Dental to get the bridge made correctly and much more work to get it to fit. After a couple weeks the permanent bridge came out while I was working on assignment in Orlando, Florida and I was referred to the Orlando location of Aspen Dental. The dentist at the Orlando location informed me that the left bridge was not made correctly and would have to be made, again. When I returned to the Orlando office to have the final bridge inserted the dental assistant cracked the bridge on the right side of my mouth, something I was not aware of until much later after the numbing medication wore off. The dentist inserted the new bridge and let me leave his office without mentioning the cracked bridge or that the bridge he inserted was not fitted correctly. He even took x-rays before I left, it is impossible for him to not see the cracked bridge or the defective bridge he put in. During this time I moved to north central Florida, too far away to return to the Orlando office for refitting or repairs. After several bad experiences with several dentists at two Aspen Dental office, I researched the practice and found several reports of similar shoddy or poor care, subsequently I have no confidence that I will receive proper care from them. In February of this year the pain and discomfort from the poorly fitted bridges became so great that I was referred to a new dentist. The new dentist x-rayed my dental work and upon examination determined that both bridges were faulty and would need to be replaced. The lower left bridge has open margins that caused recurrent decay and pain, and the lower right bridge has been fractured and has lesser open margins. During this time I have maintained on-time payments faithfully. The faulty dental work by Aspen Dental has caused me pain for months, discomfort and sleeplessness. While I understand that mistakes can be made in dentistry, the work was objectively botched, and now needs to be removed and replaced with new bridges. I have documentation, including x-rays, that show the errors in the placement and fracturing of the bridges. You have to jump through hoops with the finance company to dispute the service and after weeks go by they do nothing. I am currently seeking a lawyer to sue the practice. I wish I had never gone to Aspen Dental, stay away from this place! read more

The staff was so nice and amazing!!! They waited for me even though they were closing because I was late and they got me in an out in no time! What I really love about this dentist is they're honesty to let me know everything that needs to get done and they sat me down and told me how much it would cost prior to doing it. I really appreciated this because most dentist just do the work and tell you the price later. I also liked the fact that I didn't have to pay all of it up front they worked with me and let me pay it month. I already recommended two of my friends here and I would really recommend anyone!! When I went to Aspen Dental in Altamonte for a bridge . The slightly polite office mgr. who lets you know how much money you will be charged gave us 2 options one about $600 higher than the other cheaper one was guaranteed for 6 months . The other 2 year warranty was what I chose. First they said one week to get it. Well it took over a month. By time I got it I had made 2 pmts . Then I called to get in for adjustment the girl says well you only have a 6 months warranty so you have to pay up front $150 plus any other charges you may incur. I got upset because first off they say walk ins welcome. Bull crap. I had to wait 3 weeks to get in . I said you are mistaken so recheck I am looking at my contract now and my warranty is 2 years. She said well it says on your chart you have no warranty left by now I was very mad. I said well please get off the computer and go look it up on my contract you have on file and find it. I waited 15 minutes she returned to phone and said yes I see you are still ok . I said well put it in your computer so when I come in I don't get this crap at the front desk . She was not very pleasant at this point and said well I don't have any openings for 3 weeks out. Really you have nothing. No ma'm I don't . Ok when . I take the appt. and very unhappy with the ENTIRE staff. They are money hungry and it's not about you but your wallet. I would not recommend ASPEN to my enemies . Check around. I can't believe the last two reviews. I work very close to the Altamonte Location. They were very flexible when making appointments. I have never had to wait longer than the appointment time. I learned about them when I took my mother there for her appointment. She spoke highly of them and had introduced me to Sam. I believe he is the office manager. He makes the entire process easy. After getting a complete run around by that other GB outfit, it was great to finally be treated like a valued customer. The price is super low compared to others. Do not go to Aspen dental! Aspen doesnt see you as a patient they see you as a cash cow. I went in not knowing who to go to because its been so long. The intial visit is the hook. I went in for a broken tooth that is in intermediate pain to see what i was up for. I know nothing about partial teeth, inplants, bridges and Ive had a few teeth pulled in the past when i was broke and couldnt afford to have expensive work done. The dentist did not give me dental options. She never mentioned alternative work. She gave a bid to the overly nice office manager to see how much they can get out of you. Ok so i agree to a finance option... i go in for what I think is a power wash, the hygienist didnt know what needs to be done. Flag. i tell him. Instead i got a tooth scra pping all while listening to him to sell their products. Then he disappears and tells me he needs to go to the lab, i say to check something for me and he says yes. He returns several minutes later and now im worried so i say what did you discover in the lab and he responds oh i had to deal with something not related to you. why did you tell me you were going to the lab for me? Flag. flag 3 they stacked my appointments without my knowledge. ok well ive had time to do a little research and to get a bridge they ground down your healthy teeth and i was not ok with this, wanted to do more research. I scoot over where the dentist and her assistant is and im voicing that im not comfortable with this proceedure. I dont think this is for me. were other altenative options discussed? No. The dentist was visably annoyed and more concerned about securing the cash cow she began to use pressure tactics to get me in a position where i was trapped. I repeatedly said i think i need to research and see what other options i have i dont like that you will be destroying 3 good teeth. Here you are in a very vunerable postion, uninformed, with stacked appointments. Your worried about your teeth so in that moment you go agaisnt your better judgement and you allow them to grind down your teeth to stumps, which was very painful, i had on cavity and i had to repeatedly tell her it was hurting and she didnt believe me. And after that horrific experience i went home with shoddy temps and cried for hours for allowing them to this. I then found out i could of had implants and a crown for the one bad tooth and a filling for cavity. I could of had these brace like attached to the back of the healthy teeth which is a perm option. The temp bridge broke, they had to put in a new one. The removal of the temp bridge was painful. The new temp bridge broke. Ok now im locked in a contract BE warned money back does not apply to any work they send out for completion i had no choice but to cont with the torture. This work is costing me 5k and Im hurting, im a cash cow and there is no way out. Read the fine print. I go in for the bridgework. No numbing meds the dentist goes in to remove the remaining bridge remember it broke twice. Btw when you get your teeth ground down they hurt like hell when exposed to air, food, water.. for two week after the second bridge broke and there was no way would go back i had to deal with that pain. I tried dentemp even that hurt i had to rip it off. Another very painful experience getting the temp removed. Oh i forgot to mention that during the destruction of my good teeth you know to lock me in, she slipped with the grinder and put snall holes in my gum line. Ok 5k im in no way out, the temp removal excruciating she hits a nerve i want to scream. Still no numbing meds. We get the bridges on, they dont fit. On and off. Pain! floss between the teeth no topical numb meds, the floss is huge slapping it into my gums. Pain. each tooth associated to the bridge slapping the huge floss into your gum, which are bleeding and you saying im NEVER going back. Im locked in for this work but when i leave im done. My husband canceled his appointment and my co workers also did. I leave in pain for hours. i say to this so called dentist how long will i be in pain. Oh it will wear off. hours of tooth pain. guess what? the broken tooth that hurts the reason i went there for was never addressed. They never set up to pull it, they never mentioned it. why because they see you as a cash cow. The use pressure tactics to force you in for unnecessary work, you are not a patient you a big fat dollar bill. Dont be foolish like me. Please dont go there. Research for a reputable dentist. I have a broken tooth that hurts & they cared more about doing work for money than helping me. Ive found a class action suites against them for just what they did. I have bad teeth, I'll admit it, should have them pulled, but for medical reasons I can not, Aspen has always worked with me, in regards to that and my poor financial status. My husband has been a patient of this location for a short period of time and the experience has been nothing short of horrid!. The dentist is incompetent, has no "bedside" manner and has refused to get my husband out of pain after the terrible job he did on his fillings. He did three fillings and has had to repair one not only because my husband was in pain but also because the tooth looked like he filled it with wood putty. The dental assistant even went so far as to tell my husband that he could no longer "bite" because he now had a partial and that the movement of the partial would always occur if he chose to bite things. My husband is now having problems with another tooth and the doctor is refusing to redo it. He received a partial and has had nothing but issues with that as well. The teeth were too small and didn't look natural and then we were over charged for the services that were provided. It has been a month and my husband is in more pain now then he was before he went in. The useless pain and suffering he has endured in the past month is horrible and all because this location doesn't care about their work or their patients. He has had injections to repair work that should've been done correctly to begin with. There should be something that can be done about for the shoddy work of this dentist, the excessive pain he has suffered at the hands of this dentist, and the lack of care that is given by these so called professionals. read more

Not a patient, but went in with a friend multiple times. The first time we went I heard the lady up front having an altercation with her coworker, very aggressive, very rude, very loud. I have gone a few times since and she is rude every time. This last time was no exception. I don't know why someone so aggressive and someone who clearly does not enjoy their job is working there. It's the #1 reason I do not go here personally even though it is the most convenient location for me. Please resolve your staffing issues. read more

I can honestly say, the aspen dental in altamonte springs has the best staff! They were very patient with me while they were pulling a tooth, that we couldn't figure out why it was so hard to come out only to find it was fused to the jaw bone. Dr. Brittlebank was very sweet and caring, never tried to rush the procedure only cared about my comfort. Her dental assistant was the same, only concern was about my comfort. It took them 1.5 hours to finally get the tooth out because we had to stop because it was too much for me. Never once did they complain about what should have been a 15-20 min appointment going way over.. I would highly recommend this office and Dr. to anyone! It's not just the people in the back but the ladies in front are also very patient and friendly. read more

Dr. Gillian is a jerk he is money hungry and not looking out for your health he's looking out for his pockets. He does treatment on what your insurance will pay him i.e. HMOs he will tell you you have no cavities when you really do. On top of that he doesn't sterilize his instruments. They "wipe" the instruments that have been in people's mouth they don't place it in a machine that cleans like other dentist office I've been to do. This guy should be shut down for the health department for being filthy!!!!!!!! read more

Upper dentures were made for me in November of 2016. They never fit correctly from the start. I was told when my gums receded from the extractions, they would fit me better. Well, they still don't, and they wobble when I eat. I went for the hard lining in December and they handed me my dentures in a plastic bag without even checking to see if they fit. I am asking for a refund as their policy dictates, and they only offered less than half what I paid for them. After going to their NY headquarters, they agreed to refund me the entire cost of the dentures. read more
