I went to this location once for an estimate. I ended up not getting work done there and totally forgot about them till I saw their crazy misleading commercials on TV. I checked yelp and most of them only have two or three stars also so it looks like karma is getting them. But they will rape you with prices people. I initially needed three implants and a bone graph to fill in a little area. They came in at over $11,000!!! of course they tried to offer me all these financing options. I left there really unhappy, thinking I would never get my mouth fixed. I'm not gonna say the name of the place I ultimately went to, don't want to seem like I'm trying to pull business to another place. But they were offering $999 implants. So I thought what the heck I went and checked them out. I ended up going with them and when all said and done, the three implants and the bone graph was a little over $3000. What a difference! A few months ago, I started with a new general dentist and he did some initial x-rays. He saw the implants and I was expecting to hear that they were subpar considering the amount I paid. He actually complimented them. Said they were very well done. The point of the story is steer clear of this place. They will charge you the maximum amount they can knowing you're in pain and you don't have many options, but you do. Do some shopping search for dental implants on Google in your area. read more

I went in for a tooth extraction of a broken, infected tooth. The process was fine besides taking a lot of time for the appointment, but afterwards it was not. I had just been in the er twice the week before for awful abdomen issues, which we found out was acute gastritis being worsened by the NSAIDs I was taking for the tooth pain. It took days to recover from that and I'm not supposed to take any ibuprofen or anything for a few weeks. I told them all this. After the extraction, they weren't concerned about it at all. They tried to say to take ibuprofen and Tylenol to manage any pain, so I reminded them that I can't take any NSAIDs currently. They didn't care. They said oh just take Tylenol then. If you've ever had bad tooth pain, then you know Tylenol is 100% ineffective by itself. So I left, already hurting a little because I never go fully numb from the anesthesia, then it got worse and has stayed that way for over a day now. But as we all know, you can't ask specifically for something stronger, because then they just assume you are some druggie type of person. I wish I could take ibuprofen because it works great for this, but I can't. They do not give one single damn about that. Avoid this place!!! They obviously herd people in and out like cattle to increase their profits, but they ultimately don't seem to care that much about any specific patient. They just lost my $10,000 it's gonna cost to get the rest extracted for dentures. I was gonna use them, but I'm so glad I had this experience before I went through with it. They make you go through X-rays and invasive exam, then take you out of the chair to see the finance scammer. It felt just like a timeshare pitch or lowlife used car dealer. Today I went to Aspen dental,I had a toothache and after the dentist went over my teeth and recommended a full bottom partial and telling me that I will eventually lose my bottom teeth afterwards he said he will get with the financial person. I waited in the room for about 15 min until the financial manager came in and went over prices shr did find coupons to get the price down this took about another 45 min. Then after I paid for what was going to be done she told me I would have to come back at 1:30 to finish my treatment because it was lunch time. So my toothache was not treated fi ancillary information was more important. I left and upset because I was in pain and had to return at 1:30 that showed me it was all about the money and not my pain. When I got home I called and canceled my same day appointment and to refund my monies back to my account. I will find another dentist to help my m E. Also four years ago I went there spent $1800 for a new upper bridge and a lower partial they informed me that I will be able to come back if have problems there will be no xharge. Excellent experience at this location. I've used this office many years ago and so when I needed some more dental work I returned although they are miles from where I live. The receptionist was efficient and friendly . The lady who took the X-rays and got me set up for the examination was very thorough and explained each aspect of the visit. I scheduled a deep cleaning and the dental hygienist was exceptional. Her recommendations were very helpful. They explained pricing and follow up visits to a tee. Well done . read more

I was surprised at some of the poorer reviews of Aspen Dental on Power Rd in Mesa. I've been going there for a few years now and my experience has been good. One time a not very nice office person was pretty rude to me but I didn't see her the last few times I was in so maybe she's gone. I chalked it up as her maybe having a bad day or something. But all other times everyone on staff has been very friendly, professional and helpful. Both dental hygienists are exceptional! High ratings for Sam and Alicia! I generally see Dr. Josh who explains things patiently. I've had issues with an upper denture they did (not their fault-- the denture was fine) which I switched to an implant which is working much better, despite one of the implant screws falling out somewhere. I will say the staff at Aspen Dental is very polite about the way they tell you to eff off and die in misery... I have been to this location a few times and was pretty satisfied with the (albeit expensive) service until my most recent experience. I went in for an emergency visit even though I am not currently insured. They took 2 x-rays of a very limited area of my mouth and determined there was nothing wrong. As someone who has had an abscess go undetected by x-ray, I was frustrated they weren't going to try being more thorough and help figure out what was causing my pain to be 9 out of 10 for the past week. The dentist poked and prodded some of my teeth to try determining the cause of sensitivity before telling me there was nothing he could do and to "tough it out" till I could see an endodontist. The endodontist recommended by Aspen Dental can't see me for a week. The day after my procedure, my jaw was swollen and in even worse pain from all the knocking around, so I called to get some help. After all, I'd paid $115 out of pocket to be told to suck it up and that I could pay another $137 for a consultation with their specialist. They declined to give me any help with the pain. What world is this when someone in excruciating pain is turned away with a shrug and a "good luck"? When the pain spikes, I feel like taking my own head off. Very eager to find a new dentist when my insurance kicks in next month, if whatever is causing this pain hasn't taken me out first. :'( read more

I'm writing this review about my sister who is still a patient at this so called dental office. On December 6th 2024 she went in to get all of her teeth removed for dentures, which she had to pay them $16,000 to even get them to start her treatment. It is now June 20th 2024 and she still has not got her teeth. They did try to put bottom teeth in her mouth that didn't fit at all and the dental assistant told her to jut out her jaw so they wouldn't fall out of her mouth and actually got mad at my sister for refusing to do that It was extremely uncomfortable and it made her look like a bulldog. Also her husband had to take a sharp tool to fix her upper denture because they didn't fit right either. So a couple of weeks ago she called them to see if her bottom teeth were ready and they said yes they are and to come in to get them. Come to find out these new teeth were dark yellow and she told them she wanted white teeth and they got mad at her and said " well if you want white teeth it's gonna take a lot longer ". So what do they only have a surplus of dark yellow teeth then? Ok they told her they would be completely ready in 6 days and they would call her to come in. That was over 2 weeks ago and she still hasn't heard a word from them. They are so unorganized and stupid they sent her an email 2 days ago saying Congratulations on your new smile! So to sum up this review is they constantly lie about actually everything they say to their patients, they are extremely rude to their patients, they are expensive even though they do very low quality work. We were extremely disappointed. We've been going to the dentist every 6 months together for over 35 years. We are new to the area and saw commercials for Aspen Dental that looked promising. They took x rays And sat us in a room and proceeded to tell both of us separately that we both had periodontal disease and needed thousands of dollars of their treatment or teeth would be falling out. They weren't even going to do a cleaning. This is the biggest joke of a dentist I have experienced or even heard of. Please don't waste your time. If we had issues it would have come up before, or at least mentioned some time in the last 35 years. read more

The only have a general dentist on staff and have periodontist/endodontist come to them to do the work, rather than refer you out, while that is a form of convenience, they want you to pay for those services up front, rather than bill insurance (they accept) and they pay the specialists, in my sons case $900 upfront for a specialist. I went for my appointment at the Chandler branch, and it took two hours to see the dentist. The front desk respectionist was clearly uninformed about my proceedure, and she wanted me to make another appointment for the same thing I had an appointment for. They charged me more that I have ever paid before for the same items I had inserted in my dentures for the last 5 years. This office is clearly incapable of running an honest office. The doctor was nice, but told me I had to have an exam. I had an exam two months ago in which I payed for. Now they wanted to charge me again for an insert to my denture, not my mouth. WHEN I GOT A CALL FROM THEM THEY NEVER TOLD ME OF THEIR COVID RESTRICTIONS!!! I've generally have had a good experience with Aspen Dental. When I first started going there I was 3 months pregnant and they did everything I needed to ensure my baby would be ok with everything. On that visit they saved a tooth with a bad cavity, put a temp crown on and told me that they'd let me know when to come in for the perm crown and I paid over $700 to them in total for all the work they've done. They told me it would be a bit before I got my perm crown. Then COVID19 happened(no one's fault), but my temp crown fell off, and that same day Maria called me and told me that I could come in for my crown. She told me on the phone NOTHING would be owed for this visit. I scheduled, and went in, I was a little annoyed to find out my kids had to wait in the car, so I had to call my Mother In Law to come get them. Then I got taken back right away and it took only 10-15 mins for the whole process. I finally get home, and two hours later "Maria" calls me back and tells me I owe $387 for the visit. I tried to tell her that SHE told me I wouldn't owe, she said "No you do" she gave me the amount again and said "You can pay on your Aspen.com account, I can see you've done that before." She was pretty abrupt and didn't say thank you and hung up. Not very customer centric. I know COVID is no ones fault, but c'mon, you want my kids to wait in the car? After quite a long time of avoiding dentists, I finally absolutely needed to get in to get some things cared for. I searched around the area and reached out to a couple of other places and oddly never heard back from them. Already frustrated and super anxious about all of this, I randomly saw a commercial for Aspen Dental.. Went to their website, checked reviews on here and other sites.. Other sites were overwhelmingly positive so I thought I'd give this place a shot. I was able to book online and do all of the paperwork on their site as well. Pretty easy and much appreciated. Also a nice 'what to expect' page laying out just that for the first visit. Day of the first exam and I'm super nervous.. Again, it had been quite a long time since I saw a dentist and past experiences were always awful, always painful, always degrading/embarrassing. Anyway, showed up a bit early and they got me in right away for the scans and eval. Everyone from the moment I stepped in the door was quite friendly and professional. There was no judgement.. They checked things out and made a plan focusing on my immediate concerns first. Pricing was another reason for my anxiety.. No idea how much this stuff costs, plus dental insurance has always been a bit of a mystery for me. After the exam they had an itemized care plan with everything that needed to be done and how much everything would cost with insurance. I was pleasantly surprised.. I won't say it was super cheap by any means (I'd say fair), but it wasn't going to break the bank for me and I didn't need to finance anything (though they apparently do offer that option). Had my 2nd visit to actually start getting some work done two days after my first exam. I wasn't quite as nervous, but still pretty nervous. Again, everyone was friendly and professional. The main thing getting done I had been dreading for years and it turns out it was super simple. They did a good job with the pain as there really wasn't any. I was in and out in less than an hour. Overall, I'm quite pleased so far.. I have more work scheduled in the coming weeks and will look forward to getting it all done and then hopefully get back on a regular schedule with these folks. Only giving one star because I have to. I went in for a root canal May 2018. Root canal was fine but the dentist who fitted the crown didn't make sure the crown actually sealed off the tooth. So naturally, a year later it became infected and I had to have a retreatment. My cousin also came here for treatment of an infected tooth. They didn't prescribe him antibiotics and told him what it would cost to fix it and to come back when he had the money. They don't care about their patients. read more

I called to try to get my x-rays and they said the soonest they can get them to me would be 10 days because they have to get approval from corporate to make sure they're not sending it to someone you to privacy issues. I dreaded going in, walked out happy. The price was lower than I expected, the professionalism was higher than expected, and I felt comfortable the moment I sat in the chair. Maybe because they were professional yet friendly also. I wish I came here years ago instead of using all the 'cheap' coupon dentists that actually charge you more. One thing that was weird, they initially set me up for a cleaning/checkup at 12:30pm. After the XRays, I was told they had to reschedule because they were closed. Odd I thought, but I came back in a few days and had everything done. We were told he could just come in for adjustments on the temporary, a need for an appointment was never mentioned, just come on it. Dane is wonderful, the dentist was wonderful. This place smells like rotting meat. I have them my insurance info at the time I scheduled. I came in 14 minutes early and it took a total of 45 minutes for past my apply to get in. They have the old welfare X-ray machines that take 18 X-rays... i am sure that's great. Now for the last ten minutes I been sitting in this chair waiting for the dentist to come in- an hour and 15 minutes after my appointment time. I have a damn job and can't just leave half the day. Why set an appointment if they don't start at that time. I would rather pay out of pocket than ever come here again. read more

From my first visit to my last I was always pleased with the service and dental work I received. It was time for me to get dentures. For me it was a very traumatic experience, but everyone involved were very supportive. I had many soft relines and each time I was treated with respect. They worked with me in regards to payment. I have what I like to call a "project" mouth. I need some help to say the least. I have been to a few dentists over the years but never followed through with treatment. For my 40th birthday I decided to give it a go, again. I found Aspen Dental and made the appointment. I am SO glad I did. I have never felt comfortable walking into a dentist office before now. I've had anxiety beyond belief but every single person who works at Aspen put me at ease. I am beyond impressed and even brought in my daughter for a checkup and will be having my husband go as well. I have worked in Customer Service over 30 years, and have to say that their service overall was totally unacceptable. If I could give a negative review, I would give a negative 10. I will not return, and would not trust them, even if they gave me free dental care for the rest of my life, and paid me a million dollars a minute for my treatment. When I made the initial appointments for my wife and I (we were first time customers), the company made 7 mistakes before we even got to the appointment. They sent my wife's appointment info to my email (a HIPAA violation) , and didn't send mine at all, saying they didn't have my email address, but that was the first thing they asked me for when I made the appointments. I called their main office hoping to work it out, and to complain about the 7 mistakes. Reluctantly, we went to the exam to give them a chance, and they charged my wife double the price of our previous dentist for a cleaning, then tried to get me to do a deep cleaning and other procedures that would cost over $4,000. They say that I have bone loss, yet they do not have any old x-rays to compare to (since this was my first visit to their office), so for all they know, my bones could be the same now as they were 20 years ago. Their hygienist tried to talk all fancy, like a pretend dentist, but everything they said was BS. They are like pushy auto mechanics, trying to recommend every possible repair to cost you as much money as possible. I think they abused me in this fashion as retaliation for me calling their main office and complaining about the 7 mistakes they made. I had to go home to get my wife's SSN for the credit check to finance her cleaning (yes, the cleaning was so expensive we had to finance it), and they asked me to call them with the info. When I did, 10 times, they never answered. They later said the person who answered the phone was at lunch. I asked "if you knew they were going to lunch, why did you ask me to call?" They had no reply. I was calling another dentist to get an appointment for a second opinion, and they tried to call me back, twice, and when I hung up on the second opinion to answer, they did not speak, twice. Kayla from their main office called me to see how things went while we were still at their office, and tried to bribe me with a gift card for the poor experience. On the surface, they seem nice, but in reality all they care about is how much money they can get from you, and could care less about anything other than your money. Their commercials are deceptive and misleading, trying to make people believe they care, when in reality, their commercials are like political ads, full of lies and deception. The United States of America would be a better Country without Aspen Dental and it's Staff. read more

My son went in for a free exam. The dentist said he needed to get 2 fillings. He got a copy of his xrays and exam and they wrote one filling and one other possible filling, which is not what he was told. He went to another dentist and paid for an exam. He had NO cavities. He then showed them the paperwork from Aspen. That dentist only found stains, which would probably come off with a cleaning. Fillings were not required. Very disappointed at the dishonesty. Now I wonder how many of my fillings were really necessary! read more
