I'll start with the outcome. I visted their office for a denture repair and within less than two hours, I received my denture back with the high quality repair I needed. The problem was getting to this point. I made it very clear from the outset that all I wanted was a repair. I would come back in the future, If, when, I wanted a new set of dentures. I repeated this to the very pleasant dentist who recommended new dentures. OK. Then I was ushered into this room with a person who told me she wanted to go over a "treatment plan". I said I didn't want a treatment plan, that all I wanted was a repair. Despite my objections, she proceeded to show me a "plan" for a new complete set of dentures costing over $6,000. When I told her I was not interested in spending that kind of money, she offered a "discount" to something over $5,000. (This felt more like I was negotiating with a car dealer. I assume if I had not objected, I would have been charged the non "discounted", just as I would at a car dealer if I did not negotiate price.) I again re-iterated that I only wanted a repair. She then said she could offer yet another treatment plan. I finally just had to stop her and tell her I wasn't going to agree to any treatment plan. All I wanted was a repair. That, finally, settled it. After some difficulty in scheduling, which I won't go into , my denture wound up being repaired quickly. Cost $278. So, as I stated at the beginning of this review, I am satisfied with the outcome, but the path to get their was unnecessarily difficult and frustrating. read more

I ended up calling Aspen Dental because I cracked my tooth at work. I was so concerned and was getting so stressed calling around town trying to find a good dentist's office. I'll be honest... at first, I was nervous to come because of the rating here. But I needed help, fast and they were able to see me the very next morning and were able to confirm and reassure me that they'd accept my insurance. Every single step of my experience with this dentists office was INCREDIBLE. Every single person who helped me was beyond friendly, genuinely kind, reassuring, and honest. Smiles and positive energy all around. We all know the dentist can be expensive and feel pressuring and intimidating as well, but my experience was the complete opposite here. The manager was extremely patient with me, and figured out a plan that worked well with my budget, schedule, and priorities. I thought I'd always hate going to the dentist, and now I can't wait to be back (even though my next step is a root canal). I truly feel that I'll be in great hands, and with kind and trustworthy people who have my best interest at heart. I came to this office for a second opinion on braces to make sure I really needed them since my previous dentist recommended them after years of visiting, I was a bit sus. I came in and was greeted, this office is really nice. I saw Dr Todd and he was very understanding about my concerns and recommended I do get the traditional braces over the clear ones. And he totally understood when I said I'll remain with my original dentist and get my braces there. I wasn't going to leave a review on a dentist office but seeing all the 1 stars was extremely misleading because Dr Todd and his staff are awesome! I have been looking for a dentist for a year now...... finally came across Aspen dental! When I first walked in, I was greeted by a lovely lady at the reception desk named ANA, she was very friendly and very helpful setting up my appointment for me. After that, I went to the back to get my x-rays done by Jackie, the dental assistant. I had a lot of x-rays taken, and she was so very gentle and you could tell she was very trained and highly knowledgeable about what she was doing. She was also really fun and made the whole experience. Extremely easy . I then went for my teeth examination with Liz, the hygienist, and wow, this woman knows her stuff. She told me information I never even knew about my own teeth lol. I was really happy that she took so much time explaining a lot of the things that I needed to know! She was very thorough and very gentle as well. I also met the dentist, Dr. Todd, and he was very professional and also took the time to really look over my teeth to make sure that everything had been taken care of. He also answered all my concerns and questions and made me feel like he really cared about my teeth! Next day I came in for a deep cleaning with Connor, the hygienist, wow what a nice gentleman he is. Very caring, listened to all my concerns of having any pain with this very deep cleaning. Made sure I didn't have any pain whatsoever. After it was all done I couldn't believe that I didn't have not even 1 ounce of pain! He was just amazing! I am so impressed by the whole team that works at this Aspen dental, every single one of them just as nice as the last one that took care of my dental needs. So far I've had my hygiene treatment . They don't just do cleanings from what I understood they do treatment if you need it, if you don't then yes they'll do the basic cleaning. I have not been to a dentist in over 10 years. I saw Dr. Todd, and he was amazing. I went to Aspen Dental and had X-rays taken. I was told the person to explain treatment and cost was out of office. They would have someone call me later that day or next day. After waiting four (4) days I went to the office and was told I could wait until someone was available or they would call me. Two (2) days later and I still have not received a call . DO NOT GO TO ASPEN DENTAL! First off, the lady who did my X-rays was extremely harsh and mean; she literally left bruising in my mouth. Secondly, what they claimed I needed was so far-fetched in terms of dental care. They wanted to remove several of my teeth and perform bone grafts. I went to another dentist today, and they told me that all I need are fillings and one root canal--certainly not nearly as costly as what they quoted me. They said I would need a full deep cleaning at Aspen Dental, but I only need a regular cleaning. I went to four different dentists, and they all told me the same thing: Aspen Dental are scam artist. I would give a zero if possible. My husband had new upper and a partial lower denture made. I was quoted the total cost. That cost continued to increase just a warning this appears to be a common problem with this dentistry. That is not my reason for this review though. Since getting his new denture less than a year ago a second tooth has broken off. Called today to get repaired and was quoted over two weeks before it can even be repaired. My husband went to Aspen Dental for an emergency visit due to severe dental pain. What should have been a straightforward evaluation turned into an absolute nightmare. After a quick and careless exam, he was told he needed FOUR upper molars removed and should start planning for upper dentures. They tried to rush him into a costly, aggressive treatment plan without even fully diagnosing the issue. Thankfully, I trusted my gut and he got a second opinion from our regular dentist -- and guess what? The real issue was a cracked bottom molar. One tooth. Easily treatable. Nothing wrong with the upper molars at all. Aspen Dental was either shockingly incompetent or blatantly dishonest in their diagnosis -- maybe both. Their tactics felt like a high-pressure sales pitch rather than healthcare. If I hadn't sought a second opinion, he could have lost healthy teeth and spent thousands of dollars unnecessarily. This is not just bad dentistry -- it's dangerous. I strongly urge anyone considering Aspen Dental to go elsewhere, especially if they recommend major procedures. Always get a second opinion. Well, I never thought going to the dentist for a toothache would be a worse experience than buying a used car !!~!~ Very good service, saw me quickly, the first appointment consisted of extremely deep e-rays, then a meeting with a dental heigenist , then after about 35 min I finally saw the dentist, Dr Todd they called him, seemed like a great guy very friendly but really appeared to more concerned about removing all my teeth and giving me an upper and lower dental implants. When that was over I was then ushered into what they called "THE GREEN ROOM", yes the room was green. After about 20 min two ladies called me to a desk where they started with the estimate to fix my sore tooth was only $50,000.... yes $50,000, after all said and done I said I only want two teeth extracted so I got that cost and then an appointment the very next day !!! EXCELLENT !!! Dr. Todd took out my two teeth and we discussed to take out two more as they were side by side. Overall the office was good and the dentist was good but OMG, Aspen Dental is really a used car lot for teeth LOL. I guess this is what dentistry is all about now, so sad !! read more

This time I was very clear about what I needed and wanted. I felt like it was a way to get as much dental work out of me as possible especially since I have had chip repairs before. That dentist retired a year ago. They also charged me an exorbitant amount of money for "looking". I am never against paying for service. Never. I am against paying for no service. The doctor's excuse was that he didn't have the right color to match my teeth. Really. I don't want to hear about how you had a wonderful experience at Aspen Dental. I suggest you don't go there. You have the right to do exactly as you choose. They wanted to do crowns and veneers and this and that and more. I specifically said, before I went there that I didn't want crowns, veneers and other work. My simple request was to fill in a tiny chip 1x in and out (a chip was done before about 8 years ago so I know it is doable) in the front tooth. Period. I got the feeling there was a plan to get me in and convince me to do extensive work. I am not easily convinced. I understand and believe in dental work as being very necessary at my discretion. I want to reiterate. I paid the bill, like I said, I believe in paying for a professional's time. I specifically made 5 phone calls and drove 110 miles hoping for this service. I don't have dental insurance so I was trying to find a dentist that was affordable. I researched and Aspen Dental popped up. When I called the woman on the phone said I would get a deal they were offering at 20% off. I made the appointment and all was going well until I got to the part where they explained the fee. For one they were pushing ways to straighten my teeth when I was there only to take care of a broken tooth. The price they quoted was very expensive and no mention of the 20% I was promised in the initial call. I had dental surgery earlier in the year, where a tooth had to be surgically removed and that cost was half of what they quoted for getting a crown. When I refused to move forward they did come back with a less but still expensive price but I needed to get it done so agreed to move forward. I called the next morning to confirm. Later that day got another call, called back left message and continued to get calls over the weekend, even after I confirmed through automated system. I was then called during the weekend and told that the cleaning was still scheduled (which I didn't want but they insisted I needed prior to crown, but they had to cancel my crown appt. I had a broken tooth, so pushing that back was not good. I told them I will just find another dentist, sad and a waste of time. read more

They did exactly what they said they would do with very little pain. I told everyone how great they are! I signed my quote and paid and felt very positive about the company. But then the corporate office got involved and Is charging me almost twice what I have already paid. Its impossible to get through to their accounting office without a half hour hold time. I was referred by a very good friend to see Liz the dental hygienist. Upon arrival the front desk greeted me and Liz came out and gave me a warm welcome! Her customer service and professionalism is soooo great! From beginning to end I felt comfortable and taken care of. She is so knowledgeable and personable and easy to talk to. If I could give this practice a negative number, I would. Their only concern with dentistry from my experience is to bilk you for as much money for treatments that your don't need like a new set of X-rays after my first visit of 3 months prior. I pissed away almost 300.00 and got zero in return. Other patients weren't so lucky. If you want to be upsold for services you don't need and waste your time, then go. I went there for a routine cleaning and X-rays, wanted the earliest appointment. got there, did the X-rays and talked to the dentist, then hygienist, then the selling person who tries to sale me deep cleaning with sticker price over a $1100. When I told her that I just need regular cleaning she refused to and told me they have to do the deep cleaning 1st. she offered me an appointment for a different day to find out how much my insurance will cover, then she asked for a deposit in order to make the appointment!!!! what a scam! I went to sleep last night with my lower left back molar twinging a little. I woke up this morning with a pounding tooth ache. I called a short time after the office opened (8am) and was told I could come in at 8:30. I live more than a half hour away and couldn't make that in time. I was scheduled for a 2pm appointment and couldn't wait to get there. With-in 5 minutes I got a call that I was double scheduled and I'd have to wait till tomorrow at 4pm. I considered this an emergency and expected to get seen the same day (today) but they refused to help me until the next day. Until now I've been very happy with Aspen Dental. This however is Absolutely Unexpectable!!! They should reserve time slots for emergency's each day. It's difficult to believe that they won't except emergency's. Please do not go here. I visited them for a toothache. I made it clear at every interaction that I wanted to address my toothache. Their website claimed that they could help with that. I was given x rays and a comprehensive examination. My concerns and questions were brushed off by both the hygenist and the dentist. They seemed more concerned about future treatments than the reason I came in to begin with. They said they needed a "game plan". I thought that was for my tooth. Oh no, it was for a package of services, some of which were not necessary in that moment. I was told that they would not address my sore tooth until I had an invasive deep-cleaning, which may not even be completed in one visit. When I asked why all of this was being done when I just came in for my tooth, I was told in a condescending manner that "we are only trying to help you". I let them know I wanted to address my tooth before I did anything else. Both the dentist and hygenist were not happy I had so many questions and I felt as though they were using scare tactics and preying upon the pain I was in and my need for help as a way to get me to consent to several other services. My need for help with just one tooth was ignored in favor of a full package, that, even if I had purchased it, would not have addressed the tooth first. I was then pushed off onto the office manager who then demanded I make a decision on whether I was getting my tooth pulled or a root canal (which, by the way, the dentist could not recommend what would be the best outcome) By then I was sore, confused, upset and emotional after feeling completely gaslit and disregarded as a human. I was presented with two different plans, both very expensive and neither plan would address my sore tooth first. I was being pushed to commit to one plan or another as well as go thousands of dollars into debt. Once the office manager got the feeling I was not going to be making a decision that day, she became very cold. I told her I was not able to make such a decision with the state I was in. Something about this experience felt awful. Predatory. Just wrong. I left, got a second opinion and will never go back to this place. Their website is so misleading. They should just be up front and save everyone the time and stress of this. It is obvious this business model places profits over actual people. The scare tactics, high pressure sales, catastrophizing and use of confusion are so unethical. I do not know how they are still in business. I went for a second opinion and the dentist I went to did see that my tooth needed a root canal, but did not notice that there were any other major issues going on, as I was led to believe at Aspen. I am so glad I left without signing anything or setting myself up for debt. Please, avoid this place if you can. I know dental care is expensive, but please do not let these people prey on you. There are other ways. I also want to mention that getting my x-rays for a second opinion was not easy. I had to call twice and was given an attitude when I had to call the second time because nobody bothered to send them. I will not be back. I do not know how they can be in business like this. All I wanted to do was come in for x-rays and an exam (since I was declared a new patient)and a teeth cleaning. So they said I could come in at 4:15 the same day and they would do everything I needed, and I asked the receptionist how much the cleaning cost and they said it was $117. So I arrived by 4 o'clock, They did my X-rays thoroughly and the exam and then they started with the sales pitch. Now, I am 59 and have great teeth, it's just been a year since my cleaning, so I had some plaque and no cavities. They said that I needed a deep periodontal cleaning and that I would not be eligible for a maintenance cleaning, which was at the $117. They even declared that from now on, a routine maintenance cleaning would never be offered and it would be $347 every three months. I'm not saying I probably don't need the periodontal clean, I just feel they should let you do a routine maintenance at your choice. I agree with the other reviews where the finance person needs to work on her customer care. As soon as I started saying I wanted a 2nd opinion, I was treated as if I were saying no to a time share and was shown the door. Just Beware and the BBB will also be in my scope. read more
