    Ribeye
    Earl S.

Aspens may just now be my most favorite restaurant in East Cobb! Our experience last night was amazing. I didn't make a reservation before had and we were seated within five minutes. Everyone was welcoming. This is a nice, white-tablecloth establishment. From start to finish, we had a truly pleasant experience. I had dinner with my brother after doing some work around the house and working hard to turn the house over after Christmas, so we were famished. Our waiters were Brandon who was assisted by Laurel. All were excellent, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Brandon was the best. I appreciate how personable he was and the recommendations he made when I asked. I love that they have soft bread--not that hard stuff that's difficult to eat and chew. I adored my Ribeye (not the bone in one) that was perfectly cooked Medium Well. Those side were spectacular---especially the Brussels sprouts. The bacon took them over the top. But that Smoked Old-Fashioned which they have the audacity to spoke in front of you in Mason Jars was the cat's meow, and it was so smooth. That has got to be one of the best Old-Fashioned, being a Bourbon man myself, that I've had. I had a good spiced one at a restaurant instead of the Marriott Marquis in downtown NOLA, but this one was in a class all it's own. They did good. We were too full for dessert. I gotta come back with my wife. It's a elegant spot and great for dinner with friends and family, to celebrate an anniversary, and for date night with the one you love. Parking is reasonable and free. I love to support local restaurants. Will definitely be back. Bravo!

I love a good steakhouse. Food was delicious! Everything we had was great and portions were good! Service was also very good and the waiter provided alot of insight being that it was our first time here. We were lucky enough to sit in front of the fireplace and that was the cherry on top. Very romantic.

Real nice waiter who was knowledgeable of the menu with good recommendations. We were there for a retirement dinner. I had the duo medallions and grits for my main course. The grits were made with gouda cheese. They were creamy and very good. The star of my meal. I ordered the duo medallions medium. One with chimichurri and the other with blue cheese. The chimichurri was the better of the two. The steak was more on the medium well to well done side. The steak could also have been more tender. Someone at our table ordered the cauliflower and said it was outstanding and the star of her meal. We had dessert. I did the white and dark chocolate mousse cake. It was excellent and paired with the raspberry sauce very nicely. The restaurant was a solid 3.5. Since there are no half stars I will rate it a 3 based on the my feedback on their signature item (the steak).

Absolutely enjoyed every second. Our server Lindsey was incredible. She informed us of the specials amazing choices and the wine selections . Truly enjoyed the devil eggs / calamari was delicious !! Hubby enjoyed his 14oz prime rib could only eat half because his baked potato was huge!!!! I had the 6 ounce fillet with the grilled shrimp garlic butter so tasty!!! The roasted garlic, brussels sprouts !!! Incredible. Took that to go with the bacon Mac cheese !!! Highly recommended

I'm a late crowd for a restaurant visitor so I was super excited when Aspen's let me make a reservation for 9:30pm! However, they did call me and ask me to show up early because they close at 10 which is fair but got me scared for food. I'll admit my fault if it's bad right because I'm late Did not matter!!!! Aspens did not disappoint!! First of all, it wasn't busy which was really nice!! Didn't feel rushed or crowded. Started off with some beer to drink which was good!! As a starter we got the chopped salad with ranch, which I'll admit was just okay! I think the Caesar would be better but it was fine! The entrees on the other hand.... WOW!!! We got the fried shrimp, the trout and the steak frites. The fried shrimp were PHENOMENAL AND HUGE!!! Not to mention it came with fries and onion rings?? Come on. The trout was also HUGE!! That's the biggest filet ever!! Got it with the grits and cream spinach and that's a combo made in heaven. I got the steak Frites cooked medium rare and I've never been happier. It was cooked to perfect and a huge amount. Such a good amount of food for the price. Not to mention our server was great! She was attentive, split up the salad for us and packed our to go boxes. How awesome! Would go again. I hear they have a great early bird special.

Service Our server (I forgot his name!) happened to be a former chef and restaurant owner himself. As expected, he was extremely knowledgeable and gave great food and wine recommendations. Food and Beverages We split the Caesar salad, sirloin, and appetizer trio. Everything was delicious, cooked at the perfect temperature, and seasoned to perfection. The lobster mac and cheese deserves a shoutout; I just wish the appetizer portion could be larger (haha)! They gave us a lovely complimentary dessert for our anniversary, much appreciated! Due to the openness of the dining room, it is on the louder side making it difficult to talk with folks not sitting directly next to order across from one another. Service was very good, attentive, and frirfriendly. My wife and I both had ceasar salad, filet medium rare, and strawberry topped cheesecake. For sides we had asparagus and mashed potatoes. The sides wete quite good, the best part of our meals. The salad was okay though the dressing was on the more bland side and fresh ground pepper helped its flavor profile quite a bit. For a restaurant calling itself a "chophouse" and supposedly upscale, you would think they would know how to cook a steak or use a better quality steak. Our filets were cooked to proper temperature but lacked any taste of salt or seasoning and lacked any searing on the outside. The meat was chewy rather than tender and made us wonder "what's so special about this place" where parking availability is also a challenge!? So you would think dessert would be hard to mess up, but our cheesecake was nothing special at all. We've had better tasting Sara Lee cheesecake from the supermarket; definitely below expectation. We'll consider giving it another try, but at their prices there are so many other tried and true steakhouse we much prefer.

The atmosphere isn't as stuffy or as formal like a steakhouse in the city (e.g., Buckhead), but it's still nice. Book your reservation using OpenTable and get dining points. There's a big dedicated parking lot around the building with plenty of free parking. No valet. We had a party of five and shared a lot of dishes. Here's what I had: Classic Cocktails * Dirty Martini ($15) - Hanson Original Vodka, Foro Dry Vermouth, olive juice, pimento olives Appetizers * Oysters on the Half Shell (12 for $33) - cocktail sauce and horseradish; James River, Virginia Sides * White Cheddar Mac & Cheese ($9) * Hawaiian Roasted Brussels Sprouts ($11) - with smoked bacon and Parmesan cheese Signature Cuts * Cherokee Western Luau (14 oz steak, $54) - ribeye marinated for 48 hours in pineapple, soy and ginger, "a Cherokee favorite;" 1855 Black Angus Beef from Grand Island, NE House Specials * Black Jack Salmon ($34) - wood-grilled and basted with Jack Daniel's glaze and served with crusted mashed potatoes and EVOO broccolini Desserts * Bananas Foster ($12) - flambeed tableside We also got cheese bread to start (bread with melted cheese on top, with a creamy white sauce). Everything was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed everything, starting with the martini, which was well-made. The oysters were big, fresh, and tasty. The Cherokee Western Luau was recommended to me by our server. He was so convincing that my friend changed his order to get a Western Luau too. It was fantastic, perfectly cooked to medium rare. The salmon was terrific as well, nicely cooked, tender, and flavorful (another excellent choice as well). The Bananas Foster wasn't flambeed tableside as described on the menu, so that was disappointing. However, it still tasted good. Our server was Cason B and he was great. He made an excellent recommendation on the Western Luau and was just a nice guy overall. The hostess was friendly too and helped us take a picture in the lobby. Cherokee Chophouse used to be Cherokee Cattle Company. After COVID, it reopened as Cherokee Chophouse in November 2022. It's part of the Marietta Diner and Marietta Fish Market family.

Right when we walked in, the staff complained to us that we hadn't called ahead to have a "smaller, special menu" crafted for a large party. To make matters worse, they loudly announced to the whole table right off rip that they wouldn't split checks separately--only an even split. It felt incredibly rude, lazy, and unwelcoming. The irony is that the large group size wasn't even an issue; we staggered our arrivals and the patio was completely empty. The kicker- my brother in law ended up paying the whole tab at the end anyways! so all of that initial laziness & nastiness for NOTHING! Throughout the night, the service felt incredibly rushed and stressed. While we were still eating our appetizers, the busser was aggressively trying to clear our plates because the mains were coming. Our server was very short with us the entire time, which was confusing because the restaurant didn't even have a stressful vibe. She recommended a main dish to me that I really didn't care for, though I will say the salsa was unique and probably the best part of the meal. Shoutout to the one staff member who was actually friendly, but overall, this is not the kind of place where you leave feeling like you had a nice restaurant experience- at least I personally didn't.. Too bad we didn't just go to C&S next door which we always love. Regardless tho, my sister had a blast, but that's entirely because she has a wonderful crew of great friends, not because of Casi Cielo.

You sit down first let the servers know when you wanna drink and then get up and get your own food. We did the full Churasco experience and buffet. Now you can get up and get food multiple times throughout your visit. When we left to get our second plate of food, I intentionally left my utensils at the table because I wanted to get more food. We came back. They cleared out our whole entire table and gave it to another family. It looks like the tables are around us was trying to let the servers know that we were still eating. The servers didn't speak lick of English. Mind you, we have not even paid our tab , the table we sat at still had a tab running on it. We practically just stood there with our food, waiting for them to give us another table. The host guy apologized. And they said they would give us new drinks. It took 30 minutes for the servers to actually get our new drink. By that time we had already finished our second plate. I understand that they were playing multiple screens of the World Cup. I understand wanting to watch the game, but please pay attention to your tables. Servers just kept blatantly ignoring us. Normally the service wasnt great in the beginning but it was so bad this time around. we finally went to go pay and they gave us little cards to the tables. The cards let the servers know we were still eating if we wanted more food, which is redundant because we just freaking pay to leave. I'm getting this place a 3 because I really do like the food. And the people grilling the food while also watching the World Cup game, they still attended to guest needs. They have a buffet of salads and some warm food, and all you can eat Churasco included in one price. Drinks and Desserts are extra. I think it's a fairly good deal. I enjoyed the food and I would love to come back. I will definitely come with my friend who can speak Portuguese, so we have somewhat better service.
