Had my TWO bathrooms one a master shower and the other, shower/bath combo remodeled about 3.5…read moreyears ago. Three weeks ago my master bedroom shower began to leak and upon inspection found I needed a new cartridge. The manufacturer was Grohe which I was told by my contractor, John, HOW GREAT Grohe was especially since there parts were easy to get if you ever had a problem. BULL SHI*, nothing could be further from the truth. Without getting into the details was able to FINALLY FIND someone who had the Grohe cartridge based off of the INVOICE AND THE ACTUAL INSTRUCTION MANUAL that I kept for 3.5 years JUST IN CASE I HAD A PROBLEM. So I get the EXACT, SPECIFIC CARTRIDGE the exact ONE that's in the manual and guess what, when a plumber goes to install it it's not the correct cartridge. The contractor, who had his staff input the shower valve well they installed a different catridge altogether, though not sure how. Anyway, the cartridge PART that was listed in the MANUAL was not the correct cartridge. Furthermore, why is the cartridge broke after 3.5 years and all the plumbers I talked with lamblasted Grohe as being bothersome, not worth the hassle , bad service and difficult to get parts. Be careful with this company as you're told one thing BUT be careful as the parts you think you're getting installed and are listed on the invoice and the instructions manual may not actually be the parts installed. One detail is they could use the old connectors from the old refrigerator but they still ask if we have new connectors to install. They are careful about our furnitures, appliances. The line item quote was easy to understand, comprehensive, with no hidden fees, and as we added new items to our project, he totally kept us up-to-date on what our budget was. We are so glad we chose Artisian! They gutted our kitchen, took down walls, built new ones, updated the electrical, rerouted our HVAC vent, and painted. Adrian discussed any issues that came up, while also giving us great solution options. They were clean, organized, fun to work with and meticulous in their work. I had made all the measurements but was afraid it wouldn't be exactly precise. It seems no one wants to install Ikea, go figure... ha. Anyway, I had started out with a different company (a friend of a friend) and that job ended with the demo because they had literally walked in and doubled the price they had quoted me, not to mention they said they'd worked on Ikea projects but it was obvious they hadn't. So I called Artisan and was able to set up a date right away. They honored the price quote they originally gave me months ago, minus the demo, which I greatly appreciated. Great start! There were a few snafus due to the nature of my space (a loft in an old building), but Adrian always came up with a solution to solve the problem. They were efficient and pleasant to have around. Always on time, made sure they cleaned up, and kept me in the loop regarding everything they were doing. I'm very happy with my kitchen and really appreciated the dedication and obvious attention to detail Adrian and the team provided. I highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to contact them again for any home improvement project.
