Today was my first visit with this excellent doctor and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience! I have a very bad dental phobia, but the doctor is extremely patient, kind and comforting! When he worked on me, he was extremely gentle and I did not feel a thing while he was working on me! The doctor is extremely knowledgeable, professional and informative as well and will offer you his personal opinion and advice to make sure your oral health is at its absolute best! Hello Everyone! Dr. Eduard Niyazov is the best! Here's why, I had veneers done over 20 years ago, and they still look Hollywood Red Carpet Fabulous! But get this, finally, one of the side teeth came out while eating some chocolate. I was horrified but grateful when I looked closely and saw that my tooth was still all in 1 piece in its original shape that he had done years ago...with no cracks or any damage. I could not believe it, I immediately called Dr. Niyazov, who told me to come in; after a full evaluation, he ultimately cemented the tooth back into place, and it looked just like new! Since then, I have eaten everything with no problems...nuts, seeds, chocolate, and flossing after meals with no issues! I am a customer for life; his work is impeccable! THE ABSOLUTE MOST DISORGANIZED, UNPROFESSIONAL DENTAL OFFICE EVER!!!! PLEASE IF YOU NEED LOW COST DENTAL CARE GO TO NYU. I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED. The office staff is clueless about everything. There is a bunch of women who work behind the desk who can't do their job. No one seems to know anything and whatever you agree to they change your stories once you get in the office. They can't count and they have HORRIBLE customer/client service. I just waited in this over for an hour thinking I was going to see the dentist. Wrong!!! Not only did they gossip about me behind closed doors but they sat me in a dirty waiting room while they made the "executive" decision to not let me see the dentist. Over the phone we had agreed that I could be getting my crown put in. Wrong!!!! They got me there only to get all of this money out of me which I didn't owe. Because again THESE WOMEN ARE INCOMPETENT AND CANT COUNT! They lure you in their office and then change everything on you. AGAIN no professionalism. The dentist should really consider getting a new group of women to work for him. It's pathetic and frustrating to have to deal with people who act as if they don't have an education. Again. Unprofessional, HORRIBLE customer/client service, be sure to keep track of ALL paperwork and payments. AVOID at all cost. If you can go to NYU dental then go!! My treatment isn't finish. And with the customer service that I receive I don't want to go back to this place. I've been told nothing but lies. I'm still without a tooth. It's been 2 months. No progress. No one has been helpful. And since the dentist wouldn't come talk to me himself i have no comments about his work. I've been to Astoria Dental Town twice now, once for a cleaning and once to get two cavities filled and both times have been great. At my first appointment, I was seen right away by a dental assistant who took X-rays and shortly thereafter by Dr. Jacob who reviewed them with me and discussed my options. He then gave me a cleaning that was fast and painless. My second visit was a on a busy Saturday morning but Dr. Jacob repeatedly apologized for the short wait, even coming out to the waiting room to update me. When my fillings began, I cringed waiting for the pain during the injections only to feel a small pinch. It's clear that Dr. Jacob wants to build his practice by being patient and kind and ensuring that his patients are happy. I am definitely recommending Astoria Dental Town to all my friends and family. Today was my first time at Astoria Dental Town. The dentist is amazing. I used to be a dental assistant, so I know a good dentist when I see one. He was so patient and kind. He explains everything and makes you feel comfortable. He has plenty of experience; you could tell he definitely knows what he's doing. The dental assistant is so sweet and welcoming. The office is on the second floor. It's clean and nice. It's not the typical scary dental office. The lady at the front desk is great as well. This Dentist: Eduard Niyazov, filed in between my Incisors (lower Teeth) Causing me Lots of Sensitivity & Now Food gets Stuck between my Teeth. Actually damaging my Teeth, so as to Generate more Business for him!? Also, he wanted $3000.00 in Cash, without Offering me the Dental Insurance of "Credit Care"? WTF... Eduard Niyazov asked me why I came. I don't understand why this question is relevant as we don't go everyday to the dentist so a check up is a basis step to do for every patient. It's normal and all of my previous dentists did it. Also we don't even know what's going on in our mouth before going to the specialist. This guy, called himself a dentist, he exactly spend 2 mins on my case. I am not exaggerating. I had a pretty serious hole, he used dental but 3 seconds, put the filling with the other hand, and hop used the blue light to solidify... "that's it" he told me. Really??? Guess what? I arrived home at night, I discover that my hole appeared again! So I loose time and energy taking appointment, going to his office for nothing! I am very disappointed and I will never go back again to see Me Niyazov!!! Pass this guy if you ever have dental problem, go to any other! I've been here a few times now for cleanings and some fillings and would definitely recommend it. Reading the really bad reviews on here now.... it's shocking to me, as my experience has always been good here. The Dentist is honest but also seems skilled. He managed to fix up a tooth that looked like it would need a root canal. The receptionist (Selena) is also very nice and helpful in booking appointments. Do not go here. Dr. Eduard Niyazov billed my dental insurance for $1,000 worth of work they did not perform during the 40 minute exam that actually took place. They falsified my dental records in order to support their financial claims to Delta Dental. I am currently being forced to dispute the percentage I am expected to pay for work that was not done. Saw an add for $55 you get a "Cleaning, Xrays and no up-sell" says the add. Made an appointment, for 3pm, trudged out to Astoria and when I got there the receptionist cavalierly said, 'oh the dentist had an emergency" not today. I asked "does the dentist do the teeth cleaning, I can come back for the Xrays"? The apathetic receptionist told me "NOT TODAY". They take reservations via email and confirm via email. would have been decent if they said "not avail" over the email or a call. What jerks. What a horror show. It took me a couple of visits to warm to this place, but I can now say that, having been here several times over the past approximately two years, I have been very satisfied with the services. I got the sense that the dentist, Eduard Niyazov, was very sincere in his recommendations for my oral care. I was able to trust his recommendations because other dentists, who had noted similar patterns, had never made the simple, sensible suggestions that Eduard had made. Dr. Yakov Fuzaylov is the best dentist I have been to. I had terrible pain for about a week before I decided to see a dentist. My dentist is closed on the weekend. I found Astoria Dental Town when I googled dentist in Astoria. They were the first number I called. They had no available appointment but I told them how much pain I was in and they were able to take me. I am so happy I went. Turned out I needed a root canal. Dr. Fuzaylov was helpful in explaining the procedure. I was very nervous but felt very comfortable. Everyone was very nice in the office. Today is the day after part 1 of my root canal and I feel so much better. I am going in later to finish Part 2. Root canals can be done in 1 day but I wanted to split up the procedure. I am adding to my previous review as this is Part 2. I was greeted with a warm smile and sat immediately in the dentist chair. Dr. Fuzaylov started right away. It was painless and I was out in about an hour. I will be going in next week for a clean up/check up with my friend. Its $55.00 which is an amazing deal! I am very confident with my smile and in no pain thanks to Dr. Fuzaylov and his assistant :) Glad I made the call and found my new dentist! read more

I arrived early. Friendly staff. Just went here after I had purchase a groupon deal for xray and cleaning. The xray was painful in the sense that I had to bite on something, but the lady who was handling it was very empathetic about the situation. After the x-ray Edward introduced himself. Then he tells me by looking at my x-ray I need a couple of things done. I'm usually cautious about agreeing to services that I didn't come for especially since it came off as more of a sales pitch to have me buy something. He seemed upset that I didn't want to agree to it. He then goes on to do the cleaning which it only felt like it lasted less than 10 minutes. He seemed to only use the water floss and the teeth polisher that when I left I didn't notice much of a difference. I also felt like he didn't even clean all my teeth as he barely took the time to get the back of my teeth. He didn't even used the pick. The dental office near me does a better job cleaning despite it costing a little more than my groupon. I guess this is a lesson for me to never buy any dental cleaning from groupon. read more

He even removed my permanent retainer i've been having since i got my braces removed and filed my teeth for me for no additional charge. I read some of the reviews prior to coming here and thought, well they're mixed from two opposite ends - poor and great - so I took a chance. Should have heeded the poor reviews. I only went here because my usual dentist - who is fantastic - doesn't accept the insurance I'm on now. I am used to a very high standard of service and quality of work from that dentist so I came here really lowering my expectations. Yeah even that didn't help with what I encountered here. It wasn't Sweeney Todd mind you...but it definitely wasn't peasant. The office and waiting room does not look like the pictures. It is not welcoming at all. I had x-rays done first, the person doing them couldn't be any less interested in being there. Wasn't friendly at all and barely even made the effort to introduce himself. The x-rays were done quickly...which made me immediately think they weren't thorough enough. Right after the dentist came in, he quickly introduced himself and asked me if I had any issues with my teeth he should know about. Then he began the cleaning. It was done in like two mins. I am not joking. You know how you see race car drivers go into the cockpit to get their tires replaced and fixed? Thats pretty much what this is like. He literally took a water pick and went through all my teeth, picked some other stuff out and that was that. My regular dentist, the cleaning is about 45 mins long. I felt like I needed a cleaning right AFTER this cleaning. I mean I could just buy a water pick and do what he did. He sent me out the door right after. If you are poor, broke, homeless, out on the streets panhandling I would still avoid this place. Better to find a used toothbrush and brush your teeth thoroughly yourself then go to this hatchet job of a place. No one was rude but no one was in the least bit friendly or welcoming either. I can't imagine getting something more involved done here. He probably uses gum as a glue to keep the fillings in. Dr Eduard Niyazov replaced a retired Dentist that was in-network for Metlife. I asked 5 times (twice when I called to make the appointment & 3 times at the appointment) if he was in-network. The young male receptionist even called Metlife as I waited over 1 hour for my appointment. I received my Metlife statement. It said Dr. Niyazov is out-of-network and he billed $600 for a teeth cleaning. It was the worst dentist appointment I ever had as he yanked on my teeth, they still hurt a week later. He told me I have a cavity. I am 42 and have never had a cavity. He told me I had an impacted wisdom tooth. I don't believe anything he says. This site should allow for negative stars. read more
