Today was my first visit here and i think i found my new dentist for yearly cleaning, this dentist is out of network for my insurance plan so i cant come to him for fillings or anything but i have out of network benefits for cleaning and i don't think i am going any where else. The office is clean and the receptionist is friendly, you fill out all the forms via a tablet so yay to modern tech. My hygenist was amazing! She was so gentle and friendly, turned on the massage chair for me, (YES YOU READ RIGHT, MASSAGE CHAIR AT A DENTIST OFFICE!) there is also a tv in the room so you can sit back and relax while they do their thing. My hygenist also offered me chapstick which was very thoughtful of her because i have super chapped lips and was very thorough with my cleaning. I am usually terrified of getting xray scans at a dentist because its always so uncomfortable where the slide they put in your mouth is wayyy too big and cuts into your mouth... guess what, it was painless here the slides they use are smaller than any other dentist i've been to! After the cleaning Dr. Davidowitz came in and examined my xray scans and performed a thorough examination he even checked my gums, my tongue and my jaw alignment? (i feel a click in my jaw ever since i had my wisdom teeths removed by another dentist) I must have been living under a rock all this time because in my 29 years no other dentist has ever been this thorough... he explained to me in depth about invisalign and the services they offered because i mentioned i had a protrusion that bothered me a bit. Not sure if they still offer the free starbucks giftcard for yelp since i showed it to the receptionist and haven't gotten an email yet, but its okay i am just so happy i found a new dentist close to work. I have been going to Luxury Dentistry for years now, since 2013, and I've always had a great experience. I owe my now perfect smile to Dr. Davidowitz and his staff and the amazing care they've provided. Everyone is always friendly and I'm seen pretty quickly. Normally I'd give them 5 stars, but the following up with patients isn't the greatest, at least from my experience. There have been a few times when I'd be expecting a call back for something and never got it. I end up having to follow-up on things myself quite often. I had not been to a dentist in 8 years before going to Dr Davidowitz's office. Aside from doing a great job straightening my teeth with Invisilign, he is careful, proficient, and communicative while administering fillings. Because I hadn't been in the dentist chair in so long, I needed a quite few fillings before beginning Invisilign, but I can't remember the process ever being so easy as it was at Luxury Dentistry. From coffee in the lobby, to playing your preferred genre of music while they take care of your teeth, they really cover all their bases in making you feel as comfortable as possible. I'm also quite pleased with the repositioning of my teeth that has taken place over the past year. Not sure what the previous reviewer was referring to but I've never had an issue scheduling an appointment with Luxury Dentistry. In my experience, the front desk has been very accommodating and prompt when it comes to communication. Before almost every appointment, I've received an email for confirmation at least a day before. Like some of Dr.Steven's other clients, I was introduced via a deal voucher for Invisalign. Initially, I was also very skeptical and nervous. I had been warned by my then primary dentist not to trust vouchers and ... I was initially given a quote for over $7K for my treatment had I gone with their office (I had what was considered a difficult case). The voucher was waaay waaay less than that and the care has been exceptional! Dr.Steven is very patient and kind. He takes the time to explain answers to all my questions - no brushing them off with platitudes. His staff is also very pleasant and meticulous towards their work. After having gone to many dentists in Manhattan, I realize that finding a trustworthy one who will answer your questions with clarity, not up-sell you, not frown upon you when you have budgetary concerns, covertly over-bill your insurance, or perform sub-par dental work, is a challenge and I am extremely pleased with my experience thus far (1.5 yrs now) at Luxury. I hate dentist, hence the state of my oral health, anyway I bite into an apple and a tooth broke off; I was referred to Luxury Dental by a co-worker, went because of the location, a short walk from work, and the great review, especially when I told her about my phobia and how anxious I get when I have to go to the dentist. Please note that this review is based upon four years of experience with Luxury Dentistry, throughout cosmetic and dental care. It is an informed review. I first came across Luxury Dentistry in 2010, after doing tons of research on Invisalign. I'd read many horror stories, and set up various consultations with top cosmetic dentists in NYC in order to suss out who would be best. The top advice I received online was: go with someone who has tons of experience with Invisalign, and who LISTENS to you. Invisalign is a collaborative process between you and your dentist, one through which you will have doubts and concerns, and you should feel that your issues are addressed, and that you are not a bother. I walked into each consultation with a list of about 30 questions, and Dr. Steven D. was the only one that invited every one of them, and didn't rush me through the answers. That, plus the kindness and punctuality of his office, sold me. Fast-forward four years through monthly Invisalign check-ups, a revision, bi-annual cleanings, cavities/ fillings, insurance questions/issues, and most recently a toothache that caused me to bum rush the office, and my experience hasn't changed. Dr. Steven D. is ALWAYS kind, always ready with a smile, and always willing to listen to every concern/question I have, and ease them as much as possible. His staff is also amazing, always willing to help. I've joked that my cleanings and fillings are actually my spa time, since they are usually some of my most relaxing times (crazy, I know). Not to sound cheesy, but they put the Luxury in Luxury Dentistry. Clean and calm waiting room (with coffee, tea and always brand new magazines - good ones, not like, golf digest), easy bookings, awesome happy people working there (seriously, when do you ever go to the dentist and have everyone from the receptionist to the hygienist to the dentist be so cheery and sweet?!) and even complimentary paraffin wax treatments for your hands while you're waiting?! Oh and did I mention flat screen TVs in every room so you can watch TV while they clean your teeth? I received great service and care during my initial visit for a cleaning and six months later decided to start Invisalign with Dr. Davidowitz. I had looked in to Invisalign treatment with three separate practices over the past three YEARS, but had never found a provider I trusted or one I felt would provide tailored care. Dr. Davidowitz gave me all the time I needed during my consult to address my questions and concerns. He did not try to "up sell" any of his services or products and was very clear about the setting realistic expectations for treatment and my results. I am in the beginning phases of my treatment and very happy. I'd also like to highly commend the office team. They have been extremely accommodating when checking into my insurance benefits for Invisalign treatment as well as making sure I was aware that the Flexible Spending Account through my health plan would cover some of this cost. There are not enough good things to say about this office and Dr. Davidowitz. From Yvette at the front desk to all of the technicians Luxury Dentistry has a warm friendly and professional atmosphere. I received Invisalign treatment at this office for 8 months (which I've since completed) and had a wonderful experience and am very happy with my results. Prior to my treatment, I had considered Invisalign for many years but never felt comfortable until my consultation with Dr D. He gave me a very honest assessment of what type of results I could expect and even explained that rotating my two front teeth could result in a minor space at the top (and showed me examples of what it could look like.) This is the type of open conversation every Dr. should have with their patients so they are armed with ALL the information going in. In the end, my treatment was a total success with no surprises along the way. I had one minor issue where an attachment fell off but was able to get an appointment right away to get it put back on. I have had terrible experiences at most dental practices I have been to but Dr. Davidowitz and his hygienist were the best I have ever had. The hygienist was incredibly gentle, even while doing a much needed deep cleaning. They were both incredibly patient and reassuring. Pretty sure I've never written a review on Yelp - but the (entire) team at Luxury Dentistry deserves my first. I've been a patient since about 2012, when I started InvisAlign. I was *not* an easy case, but Dr. Davidowitz stuck with me! I kept going back because the staff is passionate, kind, intelligent, and has a great sense of humor. But the thing that really brought me here today was the fact that four people stayed late recently when I was the last appointment of the evening and my train got stuck underground. They waited half an hour for me to arrive so that I could still have my appointment, and they were also gracious and understanding about it. There are very few people, much less businesses, much less doctors in NYC who would do that *and* keep a great attitude. There are so many times this team has stepped up to help me out, to explain a procedure, to find creative solutions, reach out to me after hours, to go out of their way. I went there after purchasing a coupon for a cleaning online. BIG COSTLY MISTAKE. The so-called dentistry professor at NYU convinced me that i needed to replace 2 fillings, that were not hurting me at the time, to prevent a root canal in the future. I told him i had no insurance and he offered me a discount. I decided to trust him and I paid for the procedure. Result: 2 destroyed teeth that ended up in 2 root canals and $3,500 down the toilet within 2 weeks. And I still have to pay for the crowns. After his work, I was in such blinding pain that I could not function on a day to day basis. Try going to work when your entire head is throbbing. I had no choice bu to get the root canals done My husband called him and He would not take responsibility and instead wanted to send me to his root canal specialist friend who wanted $2,000 per root canal. This scam artist offered me another discount for the 2 crowns I would need afterwards. Of course, i found a different root canal specialist who charged less than half as much. How much of a commission do you think he was kicking back to the dentist? My entire holiday was ruined because I had to spend my money on root canals. This is my thank you to Dr Davidowitz for having ruined my and my family's holidays, I am sure yours did not suffer with the $$$ you extracted from me. read more

I (literally) owe my smile to Dr. Steve Davidowitz and Luxury Dentistry and I wish I could rate them higher than 5 stars. I had previously gone to a dentist who did a terrible job with a couple veneers on my front teeth - they were miscolored and mismatched and looked terrible. I cringed every time that I looked in the mirror, avoided smiling in pictures, and worried about how others were perceiving me. After reading the great reviews of the office I decided to go in for a consultation to see if the work could be fixed. Dr. Davidowitz walked me through his entire process start to finish, encouraging me to ask questions and make sure that I understood and agreed to the work that would be done. He modeled out a few different examples of final looks for me to compare in order to make sure that I'd be happy with the final result. He also was very honest about the possible risks and complications going into it and made sure that I still wanted to push on. Even though the procedure ended up being more complicated and took longer than planned for, he saw the whole thing through without complaint and remained warm and professional the entire time, and did his very best to ensure that I was comfortable. I honestly cannot be more delighted with the final appearance - my teeth are beautiful and I love to smile again. As others have mentioned, the rest of the staff are fantastic and the office itself is surprisingly relaxing for a dentist's office (you can watch tv, listen to music, get the hand paraffin treatment...) but honestly the proof is in the results. Amazing Dentist that I have been coming to for over 4 years now. The staff is amazing and Dr. Davidowitz is always there to greet me with a smile and spend the extra time answering all of my questions. In addition to standard dental treatments, I also got my Invisalign through Luxury Dentistry. Less than a year of aligners (plus acceledent) and my teeth went from horrible to normal! When I show my friends the before pics, their response is incredible. The decision, at the age of 38, to invest in Invisaligns was neither easy nor necessary. I had always been self-conscious about the gaps in my teeth and was intrigued by the idea of invisible braces. But I had lived this long without and would need to be overwhelmed by competence to commit. Through online serendipity I discovered Luxury Dentistry. From the moment you enter that office, you matter. It has a spa-like feel and is a tranquil, yes tranquil, dental space on the Upper Eastside. The importance of good reception notwithstanding, a procedure like this is all about the doctor. A father/son practice, the young Dr. Davidowitz conveyed a level of expertise that was, to say the least, impressive and at times, dizzying; it is clear he finished at or near the top of his class at NYU. He balances a proficient insight with an affable, pleasing to the ear demeanor and was eager to answer whatever question I had. In short, you trust this man. But not for Dr. Davidowitz, I would not have taken the plunge so confidently. He detailed pretty much the entire process, concluding with a computer image of my mouth going through the start-to-finish transformation which was pretty damn cool. It all felt first-rate. I am midway through the year long process and am progressing nicely. My follow-up visits are consistently crisp. If my appointment is at 2:00, I'm seen no later than 2:10. His suggestion to drop the trays in a Polident solution for three minutes has made maintenance a breeze. But the reason I'm writing an online review is because of the overall experience. The people at Luxury Dentistry seem to genuinely give a rat's ass about the well-being of their patients and are the epitome of caring professionals. They are absolutely UNACCOMMODATING when it comes to seeing the dentist within the time periods he asks me to go back. God forbid you have to reschedule, you're left out for the next available time, which could be easily after a month!!! This has been quite ridiculous thus far! They hardly start at 10am and leave shortly after 6pm. No weekends!?! For having an office in Manhattan I'm very unsatisfied with their unavailability when needed!
