I never like to write a bad review, but I am extremely disappointed in the service here. I have been with them for a few months now, and service continues to get worse and worse. 1. They forget all your laundry. Had to call and track down my whites once. Good thing I started to unload the laundry once they dropped off and noticed half of my clothes were missing. But I let it go... 2. I understand it's NYC and traffic is horrendous and delivery time can be off. But I have never had them be on time. I only ask that if you plan to be over an hour late, a courtesy call would be nice. But I let it go.... 3. The first time they "accidentally" dried and shrunk my clothes Jerry called and personally apologized and gave me a 20% discount, I was like...okay, everyone makes a mistake. THEN...the VERY NEXT LOAD I SENT, they did the same thing, and ruined and shrunk a pair of $300 jeans. BACK TO BACK TIMES? This time I can't let it go. So Jerry, if you're reading this...I am still waiting for you to return my phone calls about this since 5 days ago when you said you would "call me right back." THEN DID IT A SECOND TIME when I gave you another chance. It's quite pathetic that you lash out via YELP! Yet cannot contact me directly. I am not here to "abuse the system," I am here to use YELP for what it is...dictating GOOD AND BAD BUSINESSES. People deserve the right to know. I am not receiving anything out of this nor do I want another $5 discount as a means to make up for you ruining my clothes not once but TWICE. I usually do not write reviews but I felt compelled since I really do not want others to go through the same negative experience. The only positive thing to this business is that the delivery person who picked up and brought back my clothes was nice. Although astoria laundry advertises 0.79/lb there are alot of add on charges that you do not find out about until you pay the bill. My bill came out to 3 times the amount than I expected. Can you imagine budgeting for $90 and then you are told that the bill is a little over $240 because they decided to dryclean several items which could have been washed in the machine on a cold wash cycle as indicated on the clothing label. Not only were the charges exhorbitant but the clothes did not come back clean and fresh smelling. There was a 30 pound difference in the weight for the scale I used at home and their scale, a 3 - 5 pound difference would have been understandable but 30 pounds is a rip off. To make matters worse, items were missing and despite calling several times, I have not received feedback on the location of the items. I am very dissatisfied with the service. With the price I paid I would have been better off buying my own personal portable washer for my nyc apt. I would advise others to seek another place for laundry services or invest ina portable washer. If you need dry cleaning services search other reputable business. Save your money, because you will end up paying more than you expected and then you will be offered 20% off of the already inflated price by the manager. read more

Wow! Is there a rating higher than 5 stars? If there is, Astoria Laundry certainly deserves it. I can't say 'Thank You' enough. I was recently in NYC on a business trip. During previous visits I used other laundromats and this last time I used Astoria Laundry because one of my business partners recommended them to me. After calling Astoria I found out that they were open late, they accepted credit cards and best of all they pickup and deliver! I was excited to find out that they had the pickup and delivery service! Due to my extremely busy schedule on my business trips, this service was just awesome and was icing on the cake! I couldn't believe how easy it was to have the pickup and delivery service and also to be able to use my business credit card to pay for it! As you know, most laundromats only accept cash and coins, not Astoria, they gladly accept credit cards, like no other! You have got to try Astoria! Not only do they provide you with personal service, but their staff is extremely friendly and if you want to go after work, they are open until 11 pm! Most laundromats close at dark or are only open until 8pm, not Astoria, they are truly the best! read more

I live in the city, but my girlfriend resides in Astoria; therefore, I go to this lovely part of Queens quite often for a few days in a row. So I was looking for reliable and clean place who can do my laundry which I keep at my gf's place. I found Astoria Laundry online and based on reviews decided to give this place a try, I am very happy every since! Jerry and Telly always provide superior and friendly customer service, they treat you like a part of the family. Since my schedule is very busy and I have to commute between city and Astoria punctuality in delivery is crucial for me. Guys from Astoria Laundry meet my requirements perfectly. They always deliver my laundry on time and when I need it. Besides being friendly and reliable, these guys do great job with washing my clothes. Had my first experience with pickup/ delivery laundry and am thrilled to say that it was a great one!! Astoria Laundry is the real deal! I had excellent customer service and communication from the very start. About a minute after placing my order online I got a confirmation call from the owner giving me a time frame for pickup 5:30-6:00 which was promptly adhered to. I then got another call about an hour after pickup asking if I would like my laundry that same night! They said they could have it back at 9:30, and I said yes absolutely!! They were right on time with the delivery too (in windy, 0 degree weather no less) and my clothes smelled amazing even through the hamper! Everything was pressed, sorted, and folded to perfection. I couldn't be happier with this service. And would definitely use them again. They were friendly, prompt and thorough. What else can you ask for? :) read more

The best of the best. Impressive to say the least. We are working in the Battery Park area pumping water from Sandys leftovers. We were called in on emergency service from North Carolina for USACE . We have been pumping water out of the downtown area for days now and have been left with all but dirty clothes. We tried calling several laundry pickup services in the area but no one could help us out. Astoria Laundry has been picking up our laundry before noon every day now for the past week or so and delivering it back to us later the same day. I don't know about these other folks here and frankly dont care, the only thing I do know is that these people here helped out and have been doing so for days now without any issues. I don't write reviews but feel I had to share this. The best cleaners in Astoria by far. I have been in this area for 3 years and have used at least 3 other laundry and cleaners service, Astoria Laundry is the most reasonable fast friendly service (reasonable) by far. If I can go 10 stars here, they deserve it. Believe me people when I tell you. THEY ARE THE BEST SERVICE IN ASTORIA. Last week I gave them a dress on sunday morning that I needed the same day and they had it ready for me in 2 hours. If you are looking for one hour and same day dry cleaning, this is the best place, the guy at the counter told me that they can have it the same day. This place is the best in the area. The place itself looks too nice to be a laundry. Marble floors, seriously? The guys working there really friendly and have a sense of humor. There's also free wifi but you have to ask for the code. I sometimes use the drop off pick up service when I don't have the time to do the laundry myself and they're always at my door max an hour later. They do same day delivery too, and my clothes come back smelling nice and the folding job is better than anything I could ever do haha. I am really picky when it comes to my clothes and have gone through a number of dry cleaners. When I found out that they do wash and fold with pick up and delivery, I thought it was worth a shot since I don't really have a lot of time. I scheduled a pickup and hoped for the best. These people were amazing! Everything came back nice and clean, folded and smelling good. I even went back to have a stain removed that my previous dry cleaners couldn't get out. I don't know what they did but they got the stain out and I am so excited to be able to wear my favorite pair of pants again. Go here, you wont be dissapointed. read more

I moved to Astoria about 2 years ago and this is the best laundromat I have been to anywhere in NYC, and I have lived in every borough (except SI). I used to live literally next door and when they opened it was like a God-send. The guys who own it are super friendly, the space and all of the machines are new and always kept super clean, and they even have 3 flat-screens you can watch while you wait. I recently moved about 3 blocks further away, and I do have a closer laundromat to my apt. now, but I still walk to them. Anyone/place who can make doing laundry a fun experience is worth it in my opinion. read more

I have never been so impressed with the response of a 'not so great' review. Jerry just called to personally apologize and make up for a bad experience with service.The last few pick up/deliveries have been fairly reliable, so I think it fair to say this is hands down the best place to do wash and fold especially with pick-up/delivery service. I can't speak for the actual facility since I haven't been there, but I wouldn't hesitate to refer anyone here. I have never, in my life, met such rude people who work in a service industry profession. With the preponderance of drop-off laundry services available in the Astoria area, you'd think Astoria Laundry would try to actually retain the customers it manages to snag. I demanded the the owner contact me after receiving terrible service there, but he never called, and every time I call, I'm told he's not in. They do a great job. Clothes always smell clean and fresh and are consistently folded nicely. That doesn't always happen with other laundries in the area unfortunately, so we were happy to find this place. They open early and close late, which makes it very convenient. We drop off our own laundry though, so can't speak for their delivery service. We were so happy with their fluff-and-fold that we started using them for shirts and dry cleaning as well, and they're just as good at that. Glad to have them in the neighborhood! read more

I happened to stop by Astoria Laundry on a rainy day last month. I felt extremely welcome as there was no garbage, the place is extremely clean for a laundromat! All the machines are completely functioning all the time, never any complaints, a moderate noise level and a wonderful environment!! They do dry cleaning too, and not only same day pick up but also delivery..yes, DELIVERY!! This is the best laundromat you can ever go to, and forget the cash..they take credit cards! I thought of trying a new place just to compare to my current laundromat. So I tried Astoria Laundry - BIG MISTAKE. I recently noticed a spot on my favorite jacket and needed it cleaned fast. I was hoping the same day which I thought was a stretch. So I brought the suit in and 2 oxford shirts see if they could do it that quick. Dropped them off at lunch and picked them up in the early evening. I went in the morning the front person always has an attitude. The pick up and drop off is always late. The one thing that let me down was when I received my clothes and found (((((( A BED BUG))))) . I used to work in Astoria a few years back, and I needed to be able to wash my clothes while still tending to my hectic schedule. I came across this place, and fell in love with it ever since. The service is great, the rates are awesome, and they have wi-fi (always a plus in my book). I no longer work in the area, but I still take the time to drive there. Just got into town from a long weekend trip, and needed to get ready for Monday work. This place had my two bags of laundry ready in four hours. My dry cleaning is always done the same day when I drop it off in the morning or the next day when I drop it off in the evening. I highly recomend.
