we had astound for over five years, the first few years were not an issue, but I kept having issues with service and I work from home. Additionally, the rates will go up every year, and I would have to fight for a discount. I had a service issue three days ago that led me to research other options. I had Xfinity set up today with a much better deal, with a five-year price guarantee. Astounded refused to prorate my nearly $100 monthly cost, and I'm only four days into my month. I moved to Woodburn about 6 months ago and was referred to Art Salinas to get my service started and was so glad I did! The internet quality is very decent but the customer service that Art provides is top-notch! Astound is so lucky to have an employee like him on their team! I love the Eero app and the fact that it lets you know when the system will be updating so you know when to expect it to be down and that you can control devices and check your connection speed in the palm of your hand! read more

Cant give zero. Wave sucked, and now Astound continued that tradition. I get to pay them money to lose money in my business. Yay me. I'm astounded when it actually works for more that a few minutes. Still waiting on you Starlink! I need my moneys worth. I guess Centurylink is slightly worse, so Astound, you get just the tip of a star. We terminated with Astound Broadband cable internet because we weren't getting a consistent internet connection. We had a significant credit balance that we have been struggling to get back. It's been over a month and we keep calling and getting a different answer each time. We don't recommend this service at all. Poor business practices. If no stars were possible that's what we would do. read more

I'm about to cancel our services. Paying $136 for literally nothing of internet. I'm at 0.08 mbps network speed! Like what!? What kind of service is this. Wave used to be ok but now since it change it completely sucks! read more

I dread calling Wave Broadband. Have been a customer for about 10 years total. The hold times can be around 30 minutes at minimum. I had to call because my internet service increased by $30 month! In fairness I'll say that I have my own equipment and have almost no trouble with the internet service. However the bill is now nearly $85/mo for internet only! When I called, after about 20 min of telling me they couldn't offer me what their new customers were being offered or anywhere near (acquisition vs. loyalty/retention) I was finally promised by CS Nicole that she would reduce my bill to $50/mo and even see if I could get the "one month free" promised to new customers. I was thrilled! She said since it was the weekend she would call me back when she returned on Tuesday to be sure I was taken care of. You guessed it! She never called. Never changed my bill. I reached out to chat. They said they could reduce it by a few dollars...um, no. Reached out through FB. Explained my dilemma. Was told they could reduce the bill by a few dollars but that Nicole hadn't left any notes and they couldn't honor what she said. Didn't offer a credit for all of my trouble. Very frustrated. Shopping for new service. Update: Dear Wave CS that reached out to me after my review, While I appreciate your attempt, would you mind sharing what your remedy could possibly be? I've spent so much time on the phone and chat that I dont have more time to wait just to be told there is nothing more you can do and that loyalty means my bill keeps increasing every year without relief. read more

Couldn't have been more disappointed this morning. After being told to meet the technician at the new residence my 80 yr old mom is moving into this Monday, to hook-up service I was told they couldn't do it for 4-6weeks!! Seems that when the original WAVE rep came out the week prior and had us sign a Construction request to install a "pedestal " because there was none , we were the 2nd customer this morning the tech had to inform that it had been incorrect . The tech said that the sales guy didn't coordinate just promised and that they were 4-6wks behind. How does this happen? Something this simple as hooking your elderly parent up to TV and a phone in 2018 taking 4-6 weeks??? So disappointed so sad. The day after this was posted we received a text that WAVE was on its way over to add the pedestal so my mom would have internet. WAVE coordinated w/PGE a location service for underground utilities. I have been a Wave subscriber for about 3 years I reside in a nursing home and I have Wave for access to the internet. Many seniors (like myself) can not afford Wave's least expensive plan so we forgo some other expense to have an internet connection. Except for the cost I have nothing but good experience for the service from Wave. Generally, we seniors use the internet very little but it seems you can't live without it. The absolute worst in cable. No service, poor service, techs cant find problems, waiting for over 30 minutes for a representative and get disconnected then wait another 30 minutes to get someone again. Phone message said it would be a 5 minute wait. Prices went up, content and quality are absolute shit. If I had another choice I would take it. Dont use Wave if you have any other option. Period. Called the next day. Cant get a tech until Wednesday. What a joke. Couldn't contact Gabrielle thru a rep. I work from home, I am paying for the highest speed 1G, we have at least 5 visits from technicians, and no resolution to the problem. Yesterday another tech arrived, did not look at past case notes as they have determined that the issue is not in our home but on the street. Previous techs indicated they would test to find the issue. Tech yesterday was in our home testing speeds, when problem is at the Street. I am so tired of waiting on hold, and having horrible service. Left manager 3x last week with no reply! read more

Still waiting on hold for a rep and yet the only concern is THEIR money, what you pay is of no concern. Worst VR system in the world, they seem insistent to not provide help and service. Every single option today went to busy signal EXCEPT "add services" that one rings. The collection agency used by Wave, IC Systems, is trying to extort money from me for a Wave bill I paid over two years ago. Wave tells me to call IC, IC tells me to call Wave. Meanwhile, my stellar credit rating continues to stay below par all because of these jerks. I believe this is defamation of character and am going to escalate this if not satisfied within the week. read more

This is hands down the worst experience I have ever had ATTEMPTING to give a company my money. If there was an alternative (aside from Centurylink) to this service in my area, I would have gladly chosen them by now. I have been trying to establish service at my home in Donald for over two months now. First, the technician claims that we need a line extension, which makes sense seeing as how the home is located about 150 yards off of the main road. But after allegedly scheduling the line extension, and asking the tech to call us for a follow up, we received such correspondence. Three phone calls later and three empty promises that the tech "would definitely be reaching out in the next day or so", we heard nothing. Once I asked to talk to the line extension tech myself, I was told that they are not allowed to give out that contact information. So, after about a month and a half, I decided to visit the nearest branch and see if it would be easier to communicate our needs in person... This was over a week ago, and we have heard nothing, once again. I'm literally trying to give you my money and it's like I'm taking freaking crazy pills or something because no one seems to want it. How is this place still in business? Is TPG, as a company, literally so wealthy that they are willing to keep businesses like this afloat, regardless of their P&L? read more

I was excited there might be a new alternative to Comcast in the area but I guess I got excited for nothing. It says to request a quote and someone will get back to you within two business days to let you know whether or not you are in their area. Well waited for six days never heard a thing. Emailed....nothing. Requested another quote nothing. I guess I must not be in there "area" so they didn't bother with me. If that's their idea of customer service then I am probably better off. read more

Wave is one of the most dishonest companies my husband and I have ever worked with. Without getting into too much detail, they lied to us about the cost of how much our bill was going to be each month. When I called to confront them, they said they had never told me that. I had everything written out word for word on paper and gave them the exact numbers of what we were suppose to pay. I told them I would never of agreed to pay $200.00 a month for cable and internet. I specifically remember telling them my limit was $100.00. They said it would be over $100 the first month due to set up fees etc...but after that it would be a little under a $100.00 They record our conversations and so I asked to listen to it and they said absolutely not. As soon as I can figure out a way to get internet out here in the country without going through them, I'm switching. Unfortunately I think they are the only service provider for this area. My husband and I work hard and believe in always doing right. We are very disappointed a company would lie like this. This is the first time I've ever written a bad review. read more
