The thick rich gravy was wonderful -- slightly sweet -- over the cut up, tender (but on the bone) chicken pieces and the rice. The "peas" here in the rice are small red beans. We got a bit of extra gravy on the rice. The veggies are sauteed cabbage with a few carrot pieces. We had no leftovers. The portion was just perfect. And lunch for two was under $20. I chose one of the fish dishes in a sauce and added white rice. The fish reminded me of swordfish steaks -- and yes there were bones. It was a tad too spicy for me so the white rice helped. My husband had the goat biryani. The goat on the bone was very tender and mixed in with potato pieces in a seasoned rice. He also got some mashed pumpkin (spicy) -- served cold -- as a small side. We were also treated to a taste of the flavorful -- not spicy -- dal soup (peas?); mashed tomatoes (spicy); The meal came with a fresh green salad. The portions are large and come with several ethnic condiments. My Goat was very tender and delicious! The seasoned rice had some potatoes and complimented the accompanying spices. A salad was served with lettuce, onion, cucumber and tomatoes. Dessert was a Dudh Puli Pitha... kind of like a rice pudding and sweet. Very good. The plantains nicely caramelized and sweet. My husband got a beef steak with onions. He said it was a little dry. I happily shared some of my garlic sauce with him. And that helped.
