She will need to pay off her phone to take it elsewhere. No problem! Understandable. The other carrier will even pay the amount owed. However, Cox is unwilling to give me a copy of what that amount is. At least the asst manager names Chris is unwilling to do so. It's my bill, my acct, my service but according to Chris I am not privileged or qualified or something to get a copy of it or even take a picture of the screen showing my payoff amount! So today I headed to the store right when they opened at 10am. There was already a line out the door down the sidewalk. I wanted to faint! Haha I was in line and a gentleman asked me what I needed and kept each of us in line educated and entertained while we waited. They were actually very fast and friendly! It wasn't a bad experience at all. 5 people in front of me and I was there maybe 5 minutes. I took the modem home and it lit up but wasn't working. On the phone they couldn't get it to respond. I went back to the store and exchanged it. Even a longer line and I still was there no more than 5 minutes. I had the same issue with the modem not working so I called Cox and they scheduled a tech to come out the first thing the following morning. He told me the particular phone/Internet modem they gave me has to be turned on at the house first and then added to the account so you will always have to have a tech come out for this particular phone/home modem. He came and left in a jiffy. It was cool he also installed a new phone cable for me that wasn't broke at the tip, was longer, and had a neutral color so it blended in with our office better and was way more functional. It was kind of annoying no one knew about the modem set up in advance at the store or on the phone with tech support, but it was resolved fast. Even the guy who kept us informed in line who was a installer as well didn't even know about the set up. Equipment turns over fast I suppose in the digital world so by the time word gets out something new will be replacing it. No issues at the store at all. I am so glad they are working smart to get people in and out as fast as they do.

They appeared to have three or four staff working. Nobody said anything when I walked in. They told people that came in after me to sign in. I'm not sure how long all the waits were, and the check in kiosk wasn't helpful at letting you know. Surprise, they have a check in after you enter that just says Hello on the front. Apparently you can get Cox Mobile as low as $30 per line for up to five lines. The black Friday steal allows you to get an iPhone 17 Pro on them with eligible trade in, must be why the sales person kept trying to get me to get one. I wasn't impressed with the assistance online, so I wasn't expecting much from the store. After my name was called the person tried to sell me a phone. I know it would lower my price, but I don't need an additional phone, even a burner though I'm sure some people could use that. They've got music playing pretty loud, so I couldn't hear the associate too well. Once my name was called, about twenty minutes later, I spent about five minutes with the associate. I need to return my old modem within 10 days, but he told me I could just pay for it. I'm sure my many years of renting it paid for a couple of them.

Mario was on time, very professional, did a FANTASTIC job on the installation, and I am 100% satisfied with the install and performance of the antenna. Even my wife (who is very much OCD) is glad we went with the roof mounted antenna. The reception is way better than I hoped for, and we get nearly twice as many broadcast channels as we did with the amplified indoor antenna. We ran the antenna cable to our HD HomeRun DVR box which uses our router to send the broadcast station signals to our iPhones, iPads, Windows PCs, and 5 TVs using Amazon Fire Sticks. My only regret is that I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to do this. Thanks Mario!! I couldn't be happier.

After placing us on a brief hold, she confirmed that a technician would arrive between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM... on a Sunday! Honestly, we weren't sure it would happen--but right at 8:40 AM a COX truck pulled up in front of our house. The technician was extremely courteous and professional. He fixed the issue quickly and even gave us his personal cell number, saying, "Anytime you have an issue, call me." That level of service is rare these days. WHAT A GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE. Our call was handed off to multiple people and disconnected twice and we had to call back. Customer service clearly didn't want to talk to us, thus the handoff, and the people we did talk to could not have been more UNSYMPATHETIC!! We will be forced to end our COX service most likely if they don't adjust their pricing soon and get more in line with their competition. In the meantime, we'll look for alternatives and hopefully find a TV and internet service we can better afford soon.
