Praise for Jose and also the store manager. Coffee is a company store. Jose helped us unwind an erroneous transaction perpetrated by a different AT&T store -- a franchise store. It took a lot of patience, two visits, and a long time. Technically, the error was not the Coffee store's responsibility, but Jose, with the support of the manager, succeeded in unwinding the transaction. It took a couple of hours of their time, but they stuck with it. Both were competent and courteous. We thank them. read more

Wish i could leave a negative star! Purchased 2 new phones for the kids for Christmas. Upon pick up, We told them keep the old phones active until we activate the new ones. Of course they shit off the old phones. So now the kids know what they're getting for Christmas. Numerous trip to this location to get the old phones back on. It took four hours and two visits to upgrade to a new phone. The two representatives who directly worked with us were pleasant and personable but did not have the necessary resources to be efficient. The first sold us a phone and said that it would be shipped the following day. After a week we returned to the store and the second associate tried to cancel the order but needed to call corporate which left him on hold for over 30 minutes while customers behind us were also left waiting. Only two representatives were actually working with customers. Although there were three other employees there, the managers explained that they did not work with customers and the trainee was not competent. This is a problem with the way AT&T runs their business and stores, not the individuals. The managers would probably liked to have helped all of the customers that were stacking up, but their job was just to take names and check inventory. read more

I came to this store today to turn in my old phone in order to exchange to the Samsung S24. The associate, named Scott, was very short with me and rude. He told me that I needed to clear my personal info from the phone before I came and fully charge it (which the associate that offered me a trade few days earlier, didn't tell me anything like that), and he is not going to do it for me, and that he won't help me today. Basically, he turned me down. I truly believe that people with zero communication skills should not work at customer service. Every ATT store sucks anymore they don't care if they have your service or not. They are fine if nothing goes wrong but if anything is wrong they don't want to help you until you call the 800 number. Then they tell you to go to a corporate store. Even the corporate store in Bakersfield this store is horrible. Claudia did not listen to what is happe or even attempt to look up the problems that exist. Piss poor service. I live in Temecula and had to visit both these stores in West Bakersfield, as I'm out for business. They have the NO customer service at all! This is the last phone I will have from ATT I will find another company that wants my money. I have been with ATT for over 20 years and the company has gone to shit. My friend and I made an appointment through the AT&T store for 6 PM. Granted we knew it was going to be a little bit of a wait because there was 2 groups ahead of us. But we waited for an hour and thirty minutes and no one checked up on us. When a representative finally got to us, his name was Abel I believe, the phone we wanted wasn't even on stock. If one worked would have asked us what we were for in the beginning and told us there was no stock in the store, we wouldn't have wasted our time. The customer service in this branch was the worst I've ever experienced. We also believe that they didn't care to check on us because we look young and didn't have any other older adult with us. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I would give 0 stars if I could! Got a new phone and new service at AT&T in Camarillo, CA. I was told that If I returned phone within 14 days I could get a full refund less the $30 deactivation fee. I was like ok...fair and I had every intention on keeping the phone. While driving the 2 hour drive back home to Bakersfield, CA I knew getting this service was a mistake. I experience 4 dropped calls while speaking with my Husband and I never ever used to get dropped calls on my Verizon phone during the same exact road trip. When I got home I only had 1 bar service at my residence and 0-1 bar service at my work. I knew for sure I would be returning this phone. I went into the COFFEE RD, Bakersfield, CA location 4 days after purchase to return the phone. I was told by the young kid helping me that they would be charging a $55 restocking fee as well as a $30 deactivation fee to return the phone. I explained to him that the only reason I am returning the phone is the service is HORRIBLE otherwise I would have kept the beautiful Alpine Green I phone 13 pro. He called his Manager over and the manager could not care in the least that I was mislead by AT&T in Camarillo. He would absolutely NOT wave the restocking fee I was never told about and he was quite rude and very unprofessional sighing and rolling his eyes as I explained my situation to him. In any event... I was told by the young kid that AT&T prints on the back of their receipts the policy. This is a fact...they do! However....you do not get provided a RECEIPT until after you make the purchase. They should be providing something in writing that explains their policy before the actual transaction is made, because what they verbally tell you are LIES...Just to get a sale! To top if off...I was told to call an 800 number to actually deactivate the ACTUAL line or I would continued to be charged for that line. WTF is that?? Really wow! AT&T I will NEVER ever do business with you ever again in any way! Company doesn't care about their customers or have pride in their work they are simply out to make a BUCK! Well...my story ends well. Picked up my new Alpine Green Iphone 13 pro at Verizon yesterday and made my same weekly trip from Bakersfield to Camarillo this morning...NO DROPPED CALLS and full bars all morning! Customer service from Alec & Trey was great. They were friendly and knowledgeable. The problem was My husband walked in to the store to transfer service for my him & I from Verizon. We arrived at 330 and my husband didn't leave the store till 830pm. He spent 5 long, exhausting hours waiting for everything to go through on AT&T's part. There were continuous system errors. He even walked out of the building without a new phone since the system wasn't processing the applications correctly. When he left his old phone stopped working. He walked back up to the store and knocked on the door to get back in. Trey explained to him that it finally went through. We are grateful for Trey helping and going that extra mile. This AT&T store is a fraud!!! My daughter traded in her phone as an upgrade and was suppose to get credit for the trade in which has never happened. This has been going on for months. I have been in contact with a person from the store keeping me updated on the an escalation process. I entered the store this evening to get in person information and was asked to leave when I told the manager Isaiah for my money for the phone $800. He stated that I would not be getting a credit due to it being processed under a wrong number. Poor business!!!! Even poorer management skills. The store was supposed to open at 10 am. I had an appointment at 10 am. Three customers that were waiting outside before me left. The manager, Isaiah, walked up at 10:21. And told us " it will be a couple minutes". At 10:29 the doors finally opened to customers. I was asked if if I had an appointment and told the manager "yes, at 10:00". The amount of hassle between transferring and changing the responsibility of one line was horrible. There is communication between corporate and the corporate retail store. After two hours and three phone calls to the wireless care number we were finally able change a line to a different my wife's account. Then we had to take both numbers and create a new account since her's was old? Doesn't make any sense, she just did this same thing we less than 2 years ago. I had to update my review from 2 stars. Yes, the store is busy and you have to be patient. They do take appointments and we did not know that the first time around. We had waited around after they took our names at the front door and had to leave after some time had passed. Fast forward a few days later and WOW. We had amazing service from start to finish. We needed to unblock a phone, get a new cell phone, connect to a phone plan, hook up cable, get home phone, internet, etc. We are also exploring security systems from AT&T. The staff even stayed late for us and were happy to answer all questions we had. We can call our AT&T adviser anytime we want with questions. The store for us is in a great location and is very well laid out and organized. Right now, we are very satisfied customers. I hope the relationship stays this way! I went into this AT&T store location looking to open an account. My first impression was that this location seemed clean, relaxed, and less chaotic as other locations here in Bakersfield, CA. Caleb is who assisted me and my fiancé with with our questions and needs, he is outstandingly professional and knowledgeable. He answered all our questions thoroughly, and gave us accurate pricing on all devices and services. He was very honest with us, and did not just try to sale us out on products as other cellular stores have. We greatly appreciated all of Caleb's time, attention, and assistance during our experience. I scheduled an appointment and I was still required to wait 20 minutes. I just don't understand the point of an appointment if it's not going to be honored. The situation is just worsened when the representative isn't apologetic and refuses to provide a rough estimate for the wait time. I understand that it'll vary, but it would be nice to at least get a general idea. I went to this at&t location to purchase the new iphone 5s. I anticipated a wait. But what I didnt anticipate was how well organized this store handled the process. There were girls outside taking our orders and even handing out cups of water as it was a little hot outside. There were men at the door letting 1 person in as one person came out. JP waited on my son and I and provided awesome service. He explained the new Next program to us but we opted for the old 2 year contract. He was super friendly and upbeat. In all my life I've never been deceived by AT&T then just recently when AT&T says they have a promotion for you, stay away! they really mean they have a contract. Promotion equals contract even if you getting nothing free. To cover themselves legally when you agree to the promotion they will lock you in a contract and send you a letter through the mail that tells you exactly what you did by agreeing to the promotion to cover themselves legally. This is the worst experience I've ever had with AT&T. Stay away horrible sales representatives!!!!! read more

Their service at this location sucks. Order online if you can get away with it. However, if you NEED to go into an AT&T store, you can definitely do worse than this one. It's always pretty busy. Don't try to call them, nobody will answer. There's a place you can pay your bill with cash in the store via an automated machine, and their inventory is usually pretty okay.
