I went in to cancel a line I don't use anymore, and the employee said they can't do that at the store level, and it can only be done online or by calling AT&T. So I went online, canceled it and then asked if stores could cancel the lines and was told they can. I'll now be leaving AT&T all together. read more

So sad. Went to change phones/plans ended up with over $200 for 2 phone lines How is that possible. The customer service seems nice however if you go back in a few times asking questions they dont care for you. Its shameful. Deon was initially helpful and then kept brushing me off. I am currently on the phone and in the middle of a sentence the guy puts me on hold. Unreal. Its 4/16 @ 8:30pm. On hold for 12 minutes because I have questions and he didnt even let me ask. The small Asian girl that works there is clueless and has no idea how to speak to customers- most of her answers were "I am not sure". DO NOT GO TO ATT AND ESPECIALLY THIS STORE. This was an AWFUL experience. I was swindled in the first responder "discount." let me start by saying Sean will do anything for a sale, and I am absolutely disgusted with him. This started out last weekend when I had a phone that was on its last leg. I asked to just get a new phone and this turned into signing up for a tablet and watch. I asked if there were any associated fees and he said no. There are 100% services fees for these items. upon finding out when calling coorperate, I explained my situation, and was told there was a reboxing fee even though I was swindled. Sean also told me my bill was going to be around $140. It's definitely over $230, more than I was originally paying. I called the store furious. they said he would call me back when he was working and he never did. I just went I the store today, where I think her name was Kim got in touch with him right in front of me, and they really didn't seem to care. worse off, they were talking about chicken teriyaki. She was also supposed to help me exchange my phone which I was also unhappy with, and I just decided not to because she was completely incompetent. This store was so unprofessional, and my problems still aren't solved. I would never work with him again. read more

Liars! Frauds! They lied to us saying that they were running a special after buying an iPhone X that there was free product with it and all we had to do was pay the taxes. Then we got a bill with all the products on there and we couldn't even return the products because it was past 14 days....how convenient. Then we went into the store to talk to them.... Craig and Jason...one of them wouldn't even come out of the back office to talk to us and then we called at&t while being in the store and the guy wouldn't even get on the phone with AT&T! Guess what , once again another worker without the skills or training to follow up. My assumption is if the store manager can't call a customer back why should his/her employees care. First of all let me start off by saying avoid this location like the coronavirus. I walked into the store simply requesting a sim card. Without accessing my account the store manager Soraya immediately tells me the company policy does not allow her to do so. Disregarding what customer service had to say. And that the company policy does state that they could have given me a parked sim card. I had to drive to the the great neck location where they were very helpful over there and they immediately gave me a sim card. Because of Soraya the store manager who Without any doubt I felt was racially discriminating me, had to drive all over queens and into long island just to get a sim card. I am beyond disbelief a company this big would allow such a person to run a store and treat customer's and the public this way. I find it hard to believe that her boss Marik sarkisov does not know that Soraya treats the customers in this community this way. But just in case he doesn't know and is unaware well I'm letting you know now. This person is in no position to be helping customer's with her poor attitude and lack of knowledge of what services AT&T offers. I repeat my fellow yelpers stay away from that location, unless you like and want to be mistreated. Soraya is the definition of why customer's would never want to return or recommend anyone to that store. Best phone store experience ever! Kat greeted me when I entered the store and was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. We are so lucky to have this store --decent free parking (for Bayside) conveniently located off Northern at the Clearview and well stocked. Had an issue that I spent hours trying to explain via chat and on the phone with ATT.com. Boy do I wish I would have come here first. Kat helped me unsort the mess att.com made of my account, showed me how it could be fixed and got a phone ready for me to buy. I was almost ready to move over to Verizon as I had more than paid for my previous phone but Kat explained how I could combine with my direct TV. I think Att should pay her extra and promote her ASAP. I love that store and am willing to give ATT another try because I felt well-taken care of in person, something I usually avoid. read more

Tried to exchange my iphone 12 pro to an older model since my phone wasn't worth the trade in limit. Kept getting kick back from both online customer service and in store personnel. Basically got charged $55 for opening the box to the 12. Ended up with an iphone 11 after assurance that I would have no extra costs and now the bill shows up with an upgrade fee and a service I didn't ask for. Don't know whether to blame this on the store or the company but I had a very bad experience all around. read more

I went in the store on March 30th to get a new phone cause mine didn't work. I dealt with Cat, an associate. When going over the plan she spoke to me about getting AT&T tv and how it would lower the price of my overall monthly plan and I said no cause I didn't need it. Then her manager Soraya came over and reiterated how I would be saving money. I said no again. What convinced me was that they said if I sign up for ATT tv and canceled within 30 days I'd still keep the discount of my data plan so I agreed. Then today (April 14) I see I was charged $59.99 for ATT tv. When I called customer service they said that the information I was given at the store is incorrect and that the fee is charged on the 8th of each month, and it was on auto pay, which I didn't know about, so I canceled it. I was in sales and I understand how it works, but one thing I always prided myself on was honestly and full transparency. This wasn't the case at the Northern Blvd- Bayside store. They just wanted to sell a product to make their numbers. I don't recommend going here. read more

I've been in this store twice and both times have not been a pleasant experience. The manager straight up lied to us about our packages and I asked twice to confirm if the price he gave us included taxes and fees... he said yes both times. Then he casually mentions that we will be signing a direct tv contract after we already said we don't need it and told us to tell the direct tv technician we don't need it... he failed to mention that we would also be stuck in a 2 year contract. I had to ask and I knew there would be bc I used to be a customer and it's very hard to get out of a direct tv contract. We then told him about the discount we get and the price didn't change and then he backpedaled and said that wasn't the final price and the price he gave us before didn't include taxes and fees... I'm pretty sure he was lying but it can also be because he was very bad at math. Like who needs a calculator to do 300-275? Completely misleading, very sneaky, and quite frankly very rude. I know people want to make a nice commission but you're making people spend a fortune for something that should be very simple. Make sure you do your research before signing anything in this store! Don't be fooled and the manager should be ashamed of himself for his behavior. Stay away- go somewhere else and make sure they're trustworthy too. I needed a new phone badly but didn't want to deal with him for another minute. read more

This AT&T store has no idea how to follow through - on anything. I got new iPads and wanted to switch two existing AT&T numbers to these iPads. I was told the best and easiest way was to add two new numbers and cancel the old ones. Adding two new numbers was easy. As the sales rep was going on vacation, I was told the manager would handle cancelling the old ones. Days went by and the old numbers were still active. And, of course, so was the charge. I stopped back in, after the sales rep was due back but he wasn't in yet. I was told the manager wasn't available but would call me that afternoon. Of course that never happened. Eleven days after initiating this process I'm still paying for four numbers when I need just two. The staff at the 188 Street store are much better. Do yourself a favor and go there first. read more

Another neighborhood establishment that stinks. Walked in, employee checked us in. Said we were next. 15 minutes later someone else walked in and she took them. When I asked how long the wait was, the employee shrugged his shoulders. I told him we were next and yet the other employee took a family which just walked i , he shrugged again. I'm giving this store 5 stars because of Dion, the manager there. I went in after purchasing a phone & subsequently receiving a huge bill, with charges that were not discussed beforehand from my salesperson there. I was really upset to have received these unexplained charges from ATT & went back to the store to discuss them with someone. My salesperson was actually there and told me that those charges are "standard & that everyone should know they get those charges" and had an attitude about it too. Then Dion came in & literally made everything right. He took his time to explain what the charges were, he apologized for not having been told about them in advance and reached out to corporate while we waited. He was a total gentleman and an absolute professional. I felt very valued as a customer and would go back to this store any time just because of him. As a side note, I noticed that he was on the floor a lot, making sure all customers were being helped and also made sure the store looked immaculate, which it did. Went there in January to switch a line from T mobile to Att. I was told there is no fee, but i got surprised by $25 activation fee on my bill. Even worse, I learned from calling AT&T that they offer a deal that any line switched from T Mobile can get up to $650 in credit. Not only the AT&T store employee didn't tell us that when he HELPED us transition the line from TMobile to AT&T. When we asked him if there are any promotions, he told us NO. read more

BE CAREFUL!! I walked in to upgrade my phone which is 1 of 3 lines on an unlimited family plan. I was greeted by an unfriendly female employee named NATALYA. She had absolutely no personality. I told her I was upgrading my phone and wanted no changes to my plan at all. I then told her which iPhone I wanted. During the whole process she barely spoke and then when the process was complete I then left the store. A few weeks later I logged onto my account and saw that my line had been removed from my family plan and assigned it's own plan which is more costly. Well after 3 phone calls to AT&T I finally had my line returned to my grandfathered family plan!! read more

I see the terrible reviews on here, and felt the need to write a pleasant one. The other day, while visiting my parents for the weekend, my dad decided that he wanted to buy an iPhone for my mom for Christmas, 5 days before Christmas, and the night before I go home! I freak bc he can't buy the phone, but I can, but I also need to catch a plane! So I order the phone online at 8, store opens at 10, and they say to come by the store when you get the email. I didn't get the email by 10:15, so I hoped that I could get in. Of course I'm doing this 5 days before Christmas so they are already busy. I tell them I am there to pick up a phone but need to catch a plane. Long story short they did EVERYTHING they could to make it be as short and sweet and possible. Everyone was VERY pleasant and nice! It took longer than expected but it was not any member of AT&T's fault. Seriously, I really appreciate the service they did me! read more
