Hi all so this was the review as off the first day I was there. Very good first Impression. The the real experience happened. A week later. I found that the order for my new phones were place and they shipped them to the wrong address. I never received the phones I had to go back to the store where they had to cancel and Re order. I was there 5 hours dealing with this mistake. So we Reordered. Marco said the phones would be shipped Nov 6-11th. On the 11th I called and text my rep to say I have not received the phones or even a tracking number. Marco said he's busy and will get back to me when he is not busy. I waited. Then on the 12 once again I texts. No reply. Then on the 13th I went to the store and he was there. Surprised to see me I asked him why he didn't reply. He said he though I was mad so he just didn't reply. This is by far the worst customer service I've ever received. Today is the 13th and I'm here again at the store. About an hour more of my time. I would not recommend this store. Or maybe it's just Marco. I'm not sure if there are any other employees here that believe in doing a good job for their customers. This is a real shame. I visited your Downtown Burbank store last week seeking help. I was less than pleased and I will be sharing this with your Corporate Headquarters and posting a Yelp review. I needed a new cell phone because mine died over the weekend so I could not make or receive any calls. One hour earlier I was told I would be furloughed from my job. I enter the store wearing a mask. I stood behind the red social distance line. One man out of about 7 staff asked how he could help. I told him I wanted to see what phones I am eligible for with my plan. He told me I could have any phone and did I know what I wanted? I repeated I wanted help with what phones I was eligible for with my plan. He said I needed to know what phone I wanted. I said I didn't know that's why I came in to discuss what my PLAN offers on terms of upgrade and I needed HELP. I took a step forward because all of the remaining staff were standing there staring at me and we were basically talking across a 6 foot distance in front of them. I was the only customer. I expected to be moved away from the "crowd" of spectator staff that were doing nothing, but no. I also anticipated how my personal account information was going to get conveyed while I was standing in a public doorway. When I took the step I was quickly ADMONISHED because the store practices social distancing. The tone and swiftness made me feel like a pariah. Even though WRONG, somewhat understandable but the STAFF did not all have masks on and I did. Maybe I was more at risk than they were.....Plus how do I tell the man my personal info or would I have just yelled it across the room in front of everyone staring at me? I repeated again I needed help with what phone to get. This time the man repeated in a clearly aggravated tone: "Like I said YOU CAN GET ANY PHONE IN HERE". Of course I can but maybe I don't want the $900 i-phone and since I don't work there how do I know what phones are meeting my needs? This was too much for me so I just said I'll go somewhere else where they can help me. And turned to leave as one of the female spectator / staff yelled to me in a snarky tone "HAVE A NICE DAY!". So I went to Walmart and spent probably 3/4 less on a phone someone was more than happy to help me select. I get the impression the staff at the ATT store in Downtown Burbank don't need my business or anyone else's. You need to train your staff in customer service, lay off the extra ones doing nothing but being rude, and have some training on not sending out the vibe that you're doing someone a favor by helping them. I'll never set foot in that store again and if I get that treatment on the phone from ATT, after 25 years I'll cancel the service. read more

The store employee told me inaccurate information. They are not knowledgeable about the plans and don't want to help you and refer you to ATT 800 number which is just call centers that apologize for all the problems. ATT makes is so hard to contact a real person and get accurate information. Very disappointing read more

I started working with one gentleman yesterday but had to return today. Marco helped me out right away. He was extremely knowledgeable and very fun to talk to. Don't sign anything without reading. The employees here sugar coat everything until you get your bill and realize you were signed up for things you never asked for! Came here for a simple upgrade. They offered an iPad mini at the time for something around $80. I asked if it was really just $80??? They said yes so I got it for my mom. I upgraded my phone as well and left happy. Until my bill came for the month and I noticed that there were monthly charges for the iPad and fees that came around $90. After spending a day to try and get ATT on the phone I was told that I now was in a 2 year contract for the iPad and it would be $160 to terminate the contract. I was also signed up insurance for both the iPad and my iPhone. Never asked for any of it!!! Terrible service here. They scam people knowing damn well no one reads a 10 page contract! read more

That classic, crappy corporate customer experience one fears to endure. I would give zero stars if I could. When I walked in the store at 10:55am on a Wednesday morning to purchase an iPhone, there were only four customers and what appeared to be five AT&T reps on hand. The floor manager put my name on a list and seemed mildly annoyed that I had a question about my recently stolen cell phone. I asked if she could determine if my lost phone had been used in the last 18 hours; she claimed she couldn't research the matter herself and made me call AT&T customer service. After waiting about 15 minutes to speak with a rep on the phone, he couldn't tell me if my iPhone had been used recently; he said I had to wait for my bill to see activity...) Wasted time. Still waiting to be seen by a rep, I then asked the floor manager if I could check my work email and she pointed at a kiosk and told me two people were already using their two computers. I then got in line at the kiosk and waited 15 minutes just to learn that the kiosk wasn't a regular computer but a device exclusively used to make AT&T payments. Again, more time wasted. I then asked the floor manager which computers she was referring to and she again seemed inconvenienced, pointing to another area of the store where some iPads were displayed (totally different from what she had indicated before). After nearly an hour waiting--again with only four customers in the store--I asked the floor manager if there was someone--anyone--who could help me. She said a new rep just arrived and would assist me "in ten minutes." The floor manager proceeded to help a walk-in customer immediately. He wasn't buying a new phone--I think he was buying some accessories--and he was served instantly. A half an hour later, I again politely asked the floor manager--who was then on a break--if there was anyone who could help me, and she said someone will be with me soon. I asked her why--one hour and forty minutes earlier--she hadn't given me some indication that my wait would be significant. She shrugged her shoulders and said "It's not usually like this," and went back to her break. After one hour and fifty minutes, I was seen by a rep who was pleasant. Halfway through our transaction, another rep who was very knowledgeable joined in. They were both nice but wouldn't let me buy the phone outright; I had to make monthly payments. This made no sense to me, but they both insisted this was the current AT&T policy. With the exception of the two sales guys, this was a shitty experience that underscores the low ebb we've reached in contemporary corporate customer service. This place is so mismanaged. They take appointments but don't hold by the times and have taken walk ins before those with appointments who were here first. The managers are clearly inept at dealing with volume. There are multiple workers standing around yet no one is helping any of the customers. This happens every time I've been here. Total waste of time! They clearly don't know what they're doing in this store! Here I had an AT&T bill which I showed them because the bill belonged to a family member who had died and I did not have the passcode, so I was told to come to the store with the Death Certificate and they would help me out - what a waste of time it was! I was kept waiting for my turn and they said it would "only be 2 minutes", after 15 minutes of observing a "school-boy" employees with their backs against the walls playing games on their cell phones and not helping anyone at all, I still did not get help, so I jumped up, got the manager and told him what I needed - he looked at the bill which clearly was an AT&T account with the AT&T Logo - all over the place with my deceased loved ones name & phone number on it all over it as well, so the guy working there punches a few numbers, (looks up to the sky humming while he is doing this), then adamantly claims that it wasn't an AT&T account, even after I explained to him THREE times that the person was a family member who had just died and we just needed to get her affairs in order. He doesn't even apologize - he's an 18-year old Young Corporate Cold Fish and he could care less about the whole situation! This store showed us clearly no compassion whatsoever at all! They clearly told me it was NOT an AT&T phone/account, etc. when it definitely was an AT&T phone & account! They told me to go make calls to other providers of my deceased family member to figure which company was her "home phone company" when it was clearly an AT&T account! Real nice, AT&T - send me into the street with tears rolling down my face in the rain - feeling shot down in total frustration just because you don't know what you're doing and you don't know how to treat a customer either & you just don't give a damn especially to a customer who one who had just lost a family member! I got out of the store quickly called the direct 800 number for AT&T, got connected with the right department, talked to someone with a brain, who did a test call to my dead family member's landline and stated that there was definitely a problem on the line and AT&T would have it fixed by tomorrow! This store should be shut down for total ignorance alone! I am appalled on how poorly I was treated! Less than Zero Stars for this store! Bad customer service at it's finest for sure!! read more

Customer service was fantastic! (This was the first thing I wrote after we purchased our phones and set up our newest plan.) Yes, that was the first line of my "draft" review. Then 17 days went by and we had a semi-major issue with one of our new devices. This phone is an HTC mini something or other- BRAND spankin' new. The salesman was so excited to push this product. We trusted. We bought. We suffered the consequences. Now, the consequences wouldn't have been half bad if the store manager on duty (Carlos) would have taken care of us. Let me back up and explain the issue. The phone MELTED around the plug/cord thingy (please excuse my lack-of-technical-terms vocabulary). Not the part that plugs into the wall...but the part that is like a tiny USB (a technical term- oh my) plug that goes from the cord into the phone. Anyway, the phone overheated when it was charging and the plastic part melted. The manager (Carlos) 'sniffed' the cord and said, "Wow, the cord even smells fried." I expressed my concerns about the very real fire hazard that the phone had posed for me and my family. I thought it would be a simple swap for a new device since it had only been 17 days! Alas- no!!! They now have a NEW POLICY. Oh you have to love the word "policy" as a customer. Policy. Policy. It makes the corporate world so wonderful and friendly, you see. Ok Shakespeare fans, back to the review... Their policy for new equipment exchanges (even for MAJOR FLAWS in the equipment) is only 14 days!!!! BEWARE- if you have a device longer than 14 DAYS- YOU will NOT be able to swap it out at the store!!!! BEWARE!!!!! OOooooOOOOoooHHHhhhhhhh!!!! (That should be read aloud in a Vincent Price-ish voice.) Ok, so Carlos said that he couldn't do anything. He told me to go to the AT&T Device Support Center in West Hollywood. I protested (slightly). He told me I could also mail it in and wait. Oh- forgot to mention that the salesguy who helped us first implied that it was OUR fault that the device overheated because (and I quote...btw I've always wanted to say that), "You aren't supposed to leave it plugged in overnight. That will cause it to overheat." WHAT??!!?? Am I the only ignorant person who has owned cell phones since the mid-90's and wasn't informed of this dastardly information??? Actually Mr. Salesguy, my personal experience has been (consistently) that when my phone/device/whatever is done charging, the cord cools down since NO MORE power is pumping into the full battery. I'm probably wrong, and I'm sure someone will correct me here if I am. Regardless, it's NOT common knowledge even if it is true. Belittling the customer is NOT a way to earn future or repeat business. So, to make this epic tale come to an end- we arrived ALL THE WAY across town to the Support Center. Come to find out, the HTC was so new they didn't even HAVE one in stock to swap out. The Support Center guy said, "I don't understand why the manager (CARLOS) didn't just swap it out for you. It's not like you've had it for months...it's only been 17 days." -_- So, after several days we finally received the new HTC in the mail. There have been no additional melting/overheating incidents to report...ooops, even though we are still leaving it plugged in overnight. On a side-note, parking is VERY DIFFICULT for this location. Customer service in this location is terrible. Went to just pay a Bill and store associates were simply rude. I stood at the counter and listen to associates have a conversation without ever looking up go greet me. When they finally did they were very rude (they did fix the issue which we needed them for). Andy Chung the location manager is a poor leader and showed no compassion or empathy. We asked for the District Manager's number and he claim it was "proprietary" information. Well, I've got plenty of time to write a well-reasoned review, BECAUSE IVE BEEN WAITING IN THIS STORE FOR AN HOUR! It's not crowded, and all I need to do is exchange a phone. There are seven customers, five employees, and me and another person have been patiently waiting for over 60 minutes. If you can make an appointment, I strongly recommend it, but good luck calling the store at the number listed because "if they are busy, they can't pick up the phone". I guess the employees are busy trying to explain the "Next" program to customers, which I imagine takes as long as whichever "Next" option you choose (12,18, or 24 months). Terrible management, but unavoidable sometimes. I rate this experience slightly below a trip to the DMV. Update: when I got my new phone I asked them specifically not to activate it yet, as I wanted to properly back up my current phone before switching over. When I got to my car and tried to load a map, guess what? They deactivated my current phone, so I was essentially without a working phone for a few hours before I got home. As I had a few appointments before then, and places to go that required texting people and maps, this was a terrible inconvenience. Way to go guys! read more

Talked to a guy named Tony, was planing to get wifi, seemed very knowledgable when selling me the wifi, but then he ended up running my credit, without notifying me he's doing so, he told me certain questions need to be answered to verify my identity. He called up some one who was supposed to verify my info which I gave correctly, the person didn't speak English properly, so probably he didnt even understand me. Then that Tony guy told me that I am not approved, lol for what, for wifi? That's nonsense, and the reason why was simply "i dont know man". Total bs read more

I went to this location to see if I could order the out of stock iPhone 6 Plus. We were helped by incredibly unqualified Kazi Hussain. I first tried to upgrade on their site but their site will not let you use AT&T gift cards unless they cover the whole device (which is impossible if the device is over $100 because they do not sell higher than $100 gift cards) I contacted the customer live chat and asked if I could use the gift cards I got for my birthday to order it in the store in which they said "Sure! No problem!" So I arrived at the store with gift cards in hand asking if I could upgrade and pay for it and have it shipped to me. They said no problem and began the process. After spending at least an hour trying to get this guy to stop trying to sell me the AT&T Next program they finally decided to let me keep my original contract with unlimited data and started processing the upgrade. When it came time to pay he said "Oh you can't use gift cards to pay for devices that are not in stock." He saw the gift cards in my hand during the whole rigorous process of him lying about how much the AT&T Next program is cheaper (It's not) and how no one these days keeps unlimited data. I asked them if I could get cash for the gift cards seeing as how they are useless if I can't buy the device I want with them. He said no but I could use them to pay my phone bill even though on the back of the gift card in bold letters it says "You cannot use this to pay your phone bill." I showed him the text and he assured me I could then read it again and said I couldn't but I could use it for accessories. What do I need hundreds of dollars in accessories for? Especially since you can get the same cases and crap on amazon for a fraction of the price. Finally he said he could call me when the phone comes in and I could then pay for it with the gift cards. I gave him my info and left. I went out to eat and went to check my phone to see if I had any email only to find that my data was GONE! We called Kazi and asked what happened to my data and he said I would have to call customer service because he didn't know what he did. I called the AT&T technical support and it took them over a half hour of me on the phone to get my phone connected again. Not only did Kazi change all my info on my contract so it wasn't even tied to my phone anymore but he also DELETED my data plan. The technical support said this has never happened with someone who wasn't even able to upgrade in the store. Luckily the IT guy was nice and able to fix it. I then called the store to complain to the manager and let them know how their insanely unqualified and obviously undertrained employee wasted my time twice today but they never transferred me to the manager and after 10 minutes on hold I gave up. All in all it was a terrible experience and they wasted hours of my time today for absolutely nothing. I went to the store in N Hollywood told them I wanted to get on a list to be called when the phone will be available and they were super polite and helpful and didn't spend an hour trying to convince me to join stupid AT&T Next. read more

It's an AT&T store, not AwesomeTown, U.S.A - They don't roll out the red carpet for you, but it's a cell phone store after all. Here's the trick if it's crowded: Show up and put your name on the list and then go get something to eat or a coffee or buy yourself a hat at Urban Outfitters - come back 20-30 minutes later and BAM, your turn! You'll find it much more enjoyable if you're not standing around waiting forever... They hooked me up with everything I needed, had my phone in stock, etc. It took a while, but these things usually do. *Reward yourself after with a stroll through the mall to laugh at teenagers. read more

I was bored and decided I'd dedicate a day to trying to get a galaxy S5 the day after it launched. I didn't really even care if I got it or not, I just wanted something to do and joining the hordes of people freaking out about a stupid phone seemed like as good a thing as anything else to waste my day on. My journey began at this location, which was the least frustrating of the day. As we went in, we were immediately greeted, handed off to a girl who checked to see if the phone was available, and then when it wasn't, did me the favor of calling a few other stores to check if they had it. She didn't act like I was inconveniencing her and she didn't get annoyed that I didn't want the white version, which they did have. She also didn't talk to me like she was reading a script, and after making a sincere effort to help me find the phone, informed me I was "SOL." I'd rather be told I was shit out of luck by someone who talked to me like a person and actually tried to help me then have someone read from a script about how sorry they were and then not actually give me any advice or try to help, so this place gets a good score from me. The only minus is that they didn't have the phone, and that they are an AT&T store which I implicitly loathe. Therefore, they get four stars for customer service and a girl that actually made an effort to help. read more

Ok, so I keep reading that people aren't reviewing the store, but their service with AT&T. Being a business owner myself, that is completely retarded! You are suppose to be reviewing the store, the actual service, carrier, they have their own Yelp, review it there! Came from Seattle, decided to buy the hubby a new S7 for his birthday. The store is in a really convenient part of Burbank, made it easy to walk to from my hotel. Richard, the Store Associate who helped me was FABULOUS! Maybe a little bit too fabulous as I walked out not only with an S7, but a charging pad, a waterproof case, a new TV, and cable tv service for my business. :-) He was patient, we joked around, in fact all the employees were pleasantly nice and happy. That makes a huge difference if people are happy! Overall, I've been with AT&T for 13 years, you have a couple problems throughout that time, but nothing that ever made me want to swap out from my service with them. We have 4 lines with unlimited talk, text and data for $180 bucks. Can't really beat that! read more

I don't know anything about phones or tech so when I get a new phone the only thing I care about is that all the information from the old phone makes it over to the new phone. I entrusted Luis to do that when I upgraded from an iPhone 7 to an 8 Plus. Alas, over 5 years worth of photos and videos are now lost forever. Never made it to the iCloud, never made it to the new phone. Needless to say I was FURIOUS. And all they could offer me was an apology. No discounts, no rebates, nothing. Fuck this place. Generally when you go to a retail establishment and it's packed means you're getting a great product; here it means poor management. It's more like going to the DMV than to a store. I waited for 15 minutes here one day trying to get an updated smart chippy thingy for my phone. After seeing tons of the people who had been waiting before me still hadn't been helped, I left. The only customer service places I've found where they can make you wait is where there are no other convenient options, mainly the cable company and cel phone companies, where the standard is poor service. And I'd agree with something Carl S. was saying about the sales reps, although I'd apply it globally to Cingular stores. I've walked into multiple stores when I'm shopping for a new phone and ask them for one of the newer phones that's on the Cingular website and they look at me like I was speaking jibberish (apparently it wasn't in their store, so they didn't know what it was or when it was coming in). I'll avoid the Cingular store as much as possible unless I absolutely have to go in. read more

I went to this store yesterday to upgrade my phone and I really really want to give this review a 5 because David I. was our ATT guy and he was so nice, smart, funny, articulate, patient and helpful. He gets 5 stars hands down! The reason I took a star away is because the store as a whole needs some work, so please know that the following is only about the store and the other people. Cons: I know that the iPhone 6 is on fire with popularity right now, but the iPhone 6 plus display was broken and you would think that fixing it would be to priority regardless of its already sold out. Also, the short guy manager who took my name was more interested in the Uverse football game on the TV than answering questions and offering help to people who looked clearly puzzled. The waiting list was long, which is fine, but I saw ATT workers mingling, watching the game, and doing their tasks very slowly. Overall, it wasn't a horrible experience, but one of the downsides of having such young employees is their laziness and they looked really bored. read more

This is review about the STORE not the service. (I was in Thursday around 12 on 5/19) Booooo. I have never met a group of people so sad to be working. Walking into the store was like walking into a party I was not invited to. I was quickly aware that me being there was an inconvenience to them. But to be fair, it wasn't just me, anyone who walked in the door seemed to make this group of people bitter. They did however have no problem standing around and talking with one another...so there's that. (the exception was an older lady with grey curly hair who was very friendly...good for you nice lady!) All that's just fine, I mean its no shock to anyone if the AT&T people don't like their job. What sent me over the edge and why I am writing this review to warn people to avoid this store if at all possible is the lack of care that went into setting up my new phone. Here me out... When you get a new phone, there is a very easy way to upload all your old info into your new phone, simply by signing into your google account. The phone will actually prompt you when you first start it of this option. Not only did the teller not tell me this, but he was the one who started the phone and skipped over it completely. When I asked how to get my info on the phone, he did not tell my of this easy trick, but instead mentioned some other way that I could do it...from home...away from him.. He also skipped over an update to rush the phone to be on, causing the phone to malfunction when I opened up any google app. I only know all of this cause after 3 hours of trying to figure out what was wrong, I took it into a different AT&T store, where they fixed the problem, uploaded all my new info, and told me the reason why the phone was acting up was because it was skipped over. To top it all off, when i mentioned switching over the data plan to a new tablet, he was reluctant and said it could take over an hour to do...which the other store did in less then 15 minutes...so...it was clear he wanted me out...he had things to do that did not involve me. To sum up...if you can avoid this store try your best. Special shout outs go to the tall unhelpful angry-ish white guy with the crew cut, and my teller in a hurry who gave me wrong information about my phone Brandon. read more

I went in to take care of a charge that was made on my credit card for trying to refill my mom's phone. the refill never happened, however the charge was indeed made on my card. they refused to provide services telling me I had to call. which i did, but the rep. put me on hold when she saw I was frustrated with their services right in the middle of my complaint. I mean the amount of politness is 0. I wish I had the power to do something but I guess this is all I could do for now.... horrible. read more
