Called this location to see if they had a particular phone in stock and was told yes. I then asked if they can hold it for me so that I can go after work and was told no, they can't reserve phones. Ok fine. After thinking about it, I called back to see if I would be able to do my transaction over the phone and just pick up. It was a different person who answered and when I asked about the phone he said they were out, when I told him that I had just spoken to someone else and they said that they did have it in stock this person decided to than tell me that they have it in but it's on reserve. Spoke with Calvin, I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever encountered at this AT&T location. When I handed the employee my ID, he flung it back across the table, and it slid under my arm. He didn't greet me, looked visibly annoyed the entire time, and shook his head as if he didn't want to help me. The overall attitude was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. The employees here are basically glorified typists who fill out information online for you--something you could easily do yourself from the comfort of your home. They have absolutely no authority to make decisions or resolve any issues. AT&T's refusal to delegate any real power to the store managers means they are completely ineffective at providing customer service. Need a problem solved? Forget it! Managers here aren't empowered to lead or make any impactful decisions, and it shows. Instead of being developed as leaders who can grow within the organization, they're stuck in a role that essentially amounts to babysitting your online account. Save yourself the frustration. Skip this store entirely. All you're doing by visiting is injecting a powerless human into your customer service experience. Everyone is rude and doesn't want to be bothered so they refer you to Apple so they don't have to deal with you. DO NOT GO HERE. We've had multiple issues with them telling us they knew exactly what they were talking about, and it turned out to be a lie. I recently took advantage of the Samsung Galaxy phone promotions only to find out that the salesperson told me my phone would be free if I turned in my old one and then finding out from corporate when the credit's not showing on my bill, that the store forgot to charge me the $100 left on my next plan and so now I'm paying $1,000 for another phone. I would have kept my old one. They also messed up on my husband's trade in. We went back and forth between corporate and the store four times finally got his phone traded in CORRECTLY - no thanks to the store. I will never ever go back to the store again. I will travel if I have to and because they are supposed to be "authorized", I probably won't do anything with AT& Y anymore without involving corporate. read more

In the past I've always had a very positive experience at this store, sadly my recent experience has been horrible. When I decided to upgrade to the IPhone 10 I have been dealing with Joseph. While he is polite I have found him to be dishonest and sneaky. There was a bit 2 accessory get one free deal and he billed me for it with out me getting any accessories. I confronted him on this when I came in to pick up my new phone and he claimed that he gave us the accessories. My adult daughter and I were both adamant that he had not and he just stared at us with a blank stare and said, nothing he could do. I was also exchanging my old iPhone 8 and when my new phone came in Joseph again did the data transfer. After the transfer was complete, I tried to turn in my old iPhone 8, Joseph told me "oh no, hang on to the old phone for awhile to make sure everything works". Those were his exact words. I'm here now sitting in there parking lot because I'm NOW told that it's been over 30 days, which is true. The problem is 1) I tried to turn it in the day of, and Joseph refused it, 2) Joseph NEVER told me it had to be turned in within 30 days. This kid has been shady from the start. I hope it's just Joseph and not done AT&T sales trick. I'll I guess tomorrow I'll be in the phone to there corporate number and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. read more

I get it they are busy but 5 times is terrible to have to keep calling and getting that over and over. Someone can surely take 2 seconds to answer the phone and say hold on a minute. If I could give ATT zero stars I would. Last month again out service failed when we were traveling in N CA. ATT service has always been spotty low signal etc. BUT for 5 days our service was out while we were on the road. I called to day to ask why the credit for the days our phones were out of service was not credited on our acct. NO idea they said. They offered a 14.00 credit for days with no service, then I asked if that would be posted ASAP. They said NO. next month if will appear. I said I was not expecting to be a ATT customer next month after being with ATT since 2003 and with their cell service since 2013 since service has deteriorated so much. They said If I left I would forfeit any credit. They added that credit would only be applied to new bill in NOV... what a cluster, seriously just round and round. getting nowhere as usual. Long story short, I upgraded a wireless hot spot not realizing AT&T no longer offered that model or it's services. Once home I quickly realized my mistake, we had no internet which meant no tv, school ect.. I called the store back and Danny directed me to make a call to customer service, not only was Cust service able to re connect my WiFi Danny and the team waited on me to arrive 5 mins before closing to activate and give me a new SIM card. When I upgraded my phone I had great service and told them specifically do not change my service, they said they wouldn't and they did. My service is the absolute worst now and they charge me more for worse service. I opened my bill today and found out they are charging me for devices I don't have and told them to remove last time I was in the AT&T Camarillo store. The first time I visited this store, I came in to upgrade my phone. I waited over an hour to be helped. When I signed in, the representative told me they would be with me in "just a few minutes." I worked in corporate cutomer service for over 10 years, and one thing I learned was to set a realistic expectation for your clients. "Just a few minutes" is definitely not 60+ minutes. Once I was finally assisted, I was passed off from Noey, the manager, to an associate who Noey said was incredibly knowledgeable and able to help. This sales rep was totally the opposite - dull and barely willing to help. It was like pulling teeth to get any type of input, help, opinions, etc. out of him. I had to make decisions based on Google & my boyfriend's input while trying to decide if I should convert from Android to the new iPhone 11. When I finally finished my own research, I decided that I would switch to the iPhone 11 pro, only to learn that - after a stock check - they only had the green phone in stock. I was then told that IF I wanted to go to the store at the outlet mall down the street, they had better stock. But, yet again, I would have to wait in the queue in this store to be helped. Not sure why this wasn't mentioned at the beginning of the conversation. So, after already waiting there for an ungodly amount of time, I decided it was in my best interest to forgo the iPhone for the Samsung Note 10+. I am honestly super disappointed by the dishonest prices I was quoted when I asked about transferring my boyfriend's line from Verizon to my plan. Noey, the manager, and one of his sales representatives (I don't remember his name, and he was quite dull anyways) told me my bill would increase about $55 max if I added a line with a new phone to my plan during my first visit. When I arrived on my second visit to the store to transfer the line, I again was told the same thing. The new representative I was dealing with (again I don't recall his name) assured us that the monthly bill would only increase by $60 which seemed reasonable and would save us money - maybe $20-30 or so - but a savings nonetheless. We even discussed our current costs with him to be sure we would be saving by making this decision. Well, I just received my second bill after adding the phone to my plan. I expected the first billing cycle to be higher with all of the activation fees, etc. My phone bill has increased $100. After reviewing everything with an AT&T chat specialist, it seems the sales reps (and manager) in-store failed to mention (BOTH TIMES) that the rates they were quoting me did not include the taxes and fees - which make a huge difference. I have been an AT&T customer for over 10 years, and this experience is by far the worst I have ever had. The employees at this store are dishonest, disrespectful, and I feel incredibly duped. I don't think this is a reflection of AT&T as a service as the online rep I spoke with was very helpful. This is simply a reflection of the lack of honesty in this particular retail store, starting with management and trickling down. It is incredibly unfortunate. I can't imagine what else they lie and scheme about to get sales and increase numbers. TLDR: DON'T VISIT THIS STORE. My dad lost his phone which should be no big deal since I pay close to $40 a month for insurance. I have sadly lost a phone some years back and went into this location to make a claim and get a new phone and did so without issue. Today my Dad was helped by Rosie. After following her instruction to allow my dad account access she then told me she could not help him as they don't replace phones in store. I explained I had done it before and she told me that's impossible and cannot be done. I called AT&T right then while my dad was still in store. They told me Rosie was being "lazy and a liar" that she absolutely can process a claim for him in store and get him what he needed in store today. They helped me to file a claim against her for her poor customer service and in 10 minutes my dad had a new phone being shipped to his home. So he didn't have to deal with Rosie's lazy customer service anymore. I was then told sadly employees like Rosie are only looking to make a sale for commission even thou they are told service is as important as sales. We will NEVER go to this store again, even thou we have gone to it for the past 15 years. They are always happy to take my money but if there is a problem they clearly turn you away. Went in so that my wife and I could start our own plan. She was switching from Verizon. Brandon was the associate "helping" us out. It is obvious that all he cares about is making a sale with no regard for the customer. I say this because, after about half an hour of him trying to sell us on extras proposing a higher monthly bill after making it very clear that we wanted a LOWER monthly bill from the beginning, he made us a reasonable deal. He then told us that all we would need is my wife's Verizon account credentials (which my father-in-law owns) and for my father to call AT&T to grant financial responsibility to me and everything would be good to go. Wrong. Everything was NOT good to go. Brandon was on the phone with my father-in-law to figure out the Verizon credentials and showed the most disrespect on the phone, rolling his eyes, sighing at the smallest inconvenience, etc. Furthermore, Brandon didn't even bother to look up my fathers AT&T plan to realize we were on the BOGO free deal and that I wasn't even eligible to start my own line without screwing over my parents promotion on their phones. So now my wife is on her own plan. Under my name. Brandon also didn't even bother to mention that my wife's Verizon number would have to be transferred. My wife didn't realize this Until after she was at work and calls weren't going through which she was unable to fix because the account was in my name! Needless to say, they will screw you over at this store and driving to Oxnard/TO will save you a massive headache. read more

They were all extremely polite and patient as they explained the new service. Horrible service every time at this location. Doesn't matter who you get they try and sell you their direct tv package every time and when you say no they fake it that they don't have the phone you are looking for in their store after all. They play a bunch of games that is super unprofessional. You are better off going to the apple store for purchasing items and for service the Ventura location inside the mall I recently discovered was super helpful and way nicer. They didn't try to sell me anything and just helped with exactly what I came in for. Worth the extra drive to have a more pleasant experience. Also wanted to note phones purchased from here usually have a malfunction issue shortly after. So best to buy directly from apple store. Also don't if anything else, don't buy your screen protectors here. They don't have the proper device to put in on! I came in yesterday to upgrade two new phones and transfer lines to an existing phone. Rosie was our sales assistant and did a spectacular job. We were there over an hour, but she held up and stayed completely calm and professional the entire time. Rosie was extremely knowledgeable with both the Samsung and iPhone devices making my decision much easier. The store is not as big as La Canada, but carried the colors and devices I wanted in stock. The store was very clean, modern looking and comfortable. Another positive is that they have a restroom unlike most AT&T stores. Lots of parking out front and conveniently located on Daily. read more

I reported this charge from att as fraudulent in November. In December, my bank found in my favor that the charge was unauthorized. Eight months later, I have a letter from collections. I spoke with fraud from my bank and confirmed this was not supposed to happen. So not only do they fraudulently charge you, it they fraudulently send you to collections after the bank finds the claim to be fraudulent. If you want to be riddled with fraud and regret, work with Noey. The store manager Noey, is acting fraudulently and causing charges to customers due to being none forthcoming with information and policy. The night before I close my att account, I spoke to Noey in person and I asked him what I needed to do to close my account with att. He said I didn't need to to anything with att. He then stated he was too busy to assist me, even though there were more employees then customers in the store, including a few standing around. The day after I closed my account I again stopped by to ensure everything had gone as planned. The girl checked my number and said it was no longer on the network. She never pulled up my account but advised me that because I closed in the middle of a billing cycle, I would receive a prorated bill. I asked her, "now it's not going to autopay is it, because for the past three months, I've asked for auto pay to be turned off and a bill to be sent to my house, and even thought you all say it will happen, it doesn't." She ensures me it will. On November 14, I received an email that ATT had withdrawn $500 from my account. I had received no bill, paper or email. I went to the store again to find out what happened. Once again Noey did not need to pull up my account to tell me that I didn't turn in my phone so they were charging me the remaining balance. I asked him why he hadn't told me to turn in the phone upon closing the account, to which he had no answer. He said something about some hotline that would pull back the charges. An operator indeed told me that this would happen. She never sent me the confirmation email as promised and the charges were not rolled back. The act of fraud is to intentionally leave out information that may change or influence a decision. Noey intentionally left out this information, knowing he was the person I had worked with and lost my business so he got in one last money maker for his company. I was so tired of all their bs and over charges that I finally decided to switch to a company that not only was wayyyy cheaper but are buying me out. Well due to a "ghost" line the associate made (Danielle) it has been a nightmare trying to get reimbursed for my line. I found out last week that because of this "ghost line" we overpaid close to $600 since January 2020!!! Even thought they agreed to pay me back right away (almost two weeks ago) I found out today that it is still under review. The only reason I have not gone into the store is because I don't live in the area anymore. The reason I am so mad is because imagine all the other innocent people they have done this to!! Came to the store a couple nights ago and we were helped by Danielle. She was amazing! We switched over to AT&T and got four new phones for a great price. She was patient with us and explained everything in great detail. We were a little hesitant to come to this store because of some of the bad reviews, but as we were being helped, I was looking around and it appeared that all employees were happily helping other customers with no issues, all customers appeared happy with whatever purpose they came in for. I agree with another similar review here that Brandon is a horrible customer service representative and indeed looks like he hates his job. Personally I really do not like it when he supposed to help me because hes not very helpful. When I was here, a previous customer Brandon helped out was upset because she was trying to unlock her phone. Regardless Brandon made the poor old woman call AT&T in the store and I Obviously could hear the whole conversation because Brandon started helping me. Then when the older woman had an issue and asked Brandon for some help, he replied with "I know how to do my job" to her. Very good customer service, and genuine people. They really do want to help you! MY REVIEW NOW: EDIT: Just kidding. wish i could give zero stars. This is three weeks after the original review; we made it clear we would be traveling overseas soon and wanted dual sims so that we could use these phones overseas, and they sold us locked phones and lied by omission. We can't unlock the phone unless we break the deal and lose all of the money we would've saved. Noey, the one who promised us deals and discounts, didn't honor them at all and ran off to Santa Barbara. Now we can't get a hold of him and we're left with a bill 3x the amount we were promised. Background: my wife had a free iphone 8 as a promotion (i had been receiving these credits for 6 months no issue) . I then went in to this store to get my daughter a new phone - the lady (Danielle S) said "we have a BOGO deal and you just have to purchase a new line and we can get you a free iPhone 11" - I said OK and went through. For the first 2 months I paid for the "free" phone and then the credits kicked it, Problem is it then removed the previous free pomotion I had on my wifes phone. Evey month for 4 months I called AT&T corporate and they said yes we see the problem and will fix it (They NEVER DID) - waster so much of time calling, finally a guy said "Oh I see the local camarillo store screwed up and now you need to go back there and explain to them the issue and have them fix it" . (UUGGGHHH!!!) note - none of this was my fault and now i am spening over 20 hours trying to get my Free phone credits back becuase the store screwed up!!!!! - Totally unaceptable. I then go down and wait for 30 minutes to talk to someone, after a while I sit down with Noe P, after an hour of looking at what happened he agrees that yes the promotion should not have been removed, but of course he cant do anything he has to have his Feild sales manager approve it - and he said "Oh it always take 2-3 weeks for him to respond" and there is no way for the customer to contact him directly - so now its 3 weeks and no response from Noe or his field sales manager, still no credits on my bill. Ive sent emails to Noe and he hasnt reponded, this seems to be the way they treat cusomers here - , So after months of calling AT&T corporate, a 2 hour long visit to the store I still have no response and am still being charged for a "free" phone.
