Do not buy any accessories at this store. Their markup is 600%. As jaded as I am as a consumer, I was had at this AT&T brick and mortar cell phone store. My silly story will at least save you money. Here it is: my phone was very old and I came in for a new one under the lure of the new $99 iphone ad online. Yeah, I love the new phone but the sales people at this shop are masters of manipulation. Lucas, who helped me was a fast-talking wizard at the sleight of hand techniques. He will likely graduate to selling used cars some day. What to expect: all kinds of extra fees and add-ons plus hard sells on a warranty and accessories. DO NOT buy any accessories here. OK? Please, please do not. You can get the same stuff on the net for tons less. Example: I bought a "Silicrylic" skin for the phone. These jokers sell it for $30. Guess how much the manufacturer sells it for on their web site? $5. That's a 600% markup people. Don't fall for it. Same goes for car chargers, ear pieces, etc. DO NOT FALL FOR IT. Here's some bonus info for you: AT&T will waive the supposed mandatory $18 upgrade fee. DO NOT pay it. The slick sales guys will tell you to call from home to get it removed once you get your first phone bill. DO NOT believe it. Billing will not do this. Make the guys at the store take it off. Also, some sales people will not tell you about the combo rate deals going on so they can make more commission off of you. An AT&T customer service operator warned me about this. Lastly, because dear Lucas refused to refund me the $25 I overpaid for the $5 Sylicrilic skin, I'm telling on him... after you purchase your new phone, the store manager likes the sales staff to program their personal cell phone numbers on your new phone so you can call them later with questions. Lucas only pretended to do this. He mimed adding in his number and told me that his manager required it but he didn't want to do it. So there you have it. If the sales guy lies to his boss, do you think he's gonna tell YOU the truth? Don't be naive like I was. Good luck. *footnote: to the store manager, Neli... I told your sales guys this review was going up after they defended your unholy 600% markup, which is an aberration in retail. Markup is almost always between 30% to 100%. Your 600% is usurious. Do not go here. At the beginning of October, Demian Vinarsky (one of the sales associates) really screwed me over when he added me to my moms family plan. I was coming over from Verizon, so this wasn't the most difficult thing, right? Wrong. He managed to screw everything up. And it took him over 1 hour in store to achieve that! I had no idea how wrongly he did everything until the coming days. First of all, he never went over the plan details or the cost with me before I left the store. He handed me the paperwork, shook my hand, and sent me on my merry way. In the next few days, I realized that he initially set me up as an individual account so that's why my monthly bill appears (on paperwork) to be over $70/month. I had to go to the store closest to where I live (Goleta, CA) to get this figured out. He also added me onto an insurance plan without describing the details or if it was what I wanted (it wasn't, so I deleted it). THEN- I got a freaking paper bill in the mail, directly to myself, containing a bill for an individual account (not my mom's account). What the heck, right? I knew he made an initial error when signing me up, but it appears that I was still on an individual account (despite also showing up on my moms family plan bill). Uhg. This is still so confusing- I don't know how he screwed me up so badly. So I went back to the Goleta, CA store and the Sales Associate took a big, deep breath when she saw my account. Oh, her pool soul. She got sucked into the eternally-screwed up world of shit that Demian did. She spent awhile on the phone with Customer Service, before finally voiding my bill, cancelling my individual account, and showing me that I am now ONLY on my Mom's family plan. Seriously, how did you screw up so much stuff, Demian?! AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS. read more

I feel bad for anyone who has to go into this store. It's not the employees, they want to help, its AT&T who is unwilling to help in any way. Every time I've been in there, there's not a single smiling face, neither employee or customer. its no mystery as to what why this is; because employees are forced to give you the run around, extremely long wait times, and over priced services. Went to add a new phone to the family plan. They made an error and put it under a new additional account so my following bill was 120% higher then it should have been. Went to the store, they saw the error, straightened out the account and promised a credit (which they'd only show me on a post it note) but they did NOT credit me the amount shown...actually the amount they did credit did not show up at the site I only found out through their online chat support who told me to go to the store. Went back today. Although they admit their error, they would not do a refund/credit for the full amount. I tried to explain the basic math to the manager, but frankly he couldn't get his head around the difference between $165 and $347...felt like he was covering his ass. So here is how it adds up. My bill should have been $165 for 3 phones. It ended up at $347 due to their error. They would only credit a total of $110 of which only $60 is showing up in my account. Now here is the kicker. That additional $180 charge....well that was for only TWO DAYS of the billing cycle. So basically I'm screwed, and there is nothing I can do about it. Just a warning to anyone adding a phone under their family plan. Be sure you ONLY do it at the beginning of a billing cycle and make absolutely certain the salesperson adds it to your existing plan instead of creating a new plan. read more

Do NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE!!! I have had so many problems!!! Do not shop at this store!!! Honestly.... shop online.... you will have less hassle. Every time i go there.... I am charged for things I never authorized, or told my bill be less, when its not. This latest fraud.... I was charged for a 7th phone line that apparently was a promotion that AT AND T was having.....we didnt need a 7th; we upgraded my daughters phone which was due for an upgrade.... but apparently the 7th line was added anyway. When i realized this, I called to cancel the line because it was fraudulently added . When the line was cancelled, they automatically charged me for the phone in its entirety, rather than the monthly installments authorized. They then shit off my service and requested $1299 to reactivate my account, and sent my account to collections. I have spent over 15 hours not on the phone with representatives and the only solution is to reactivate the fraudulent line i never authorized, dont have a SIM card to, and dont need. DO NOT TRUST. This store..... do NOT trust ATT. For that matter ...... they will tell you what you want to make the sale. Go anywhere but AT and T..... oh... and I did teach out to Racene Day, the VP regarding my issues. Never heard back , or got a reply or phone call. My issue was escalated to a higher department, and again..... NOTHING !!! The only saving grace has been Krystal Hart that I reached out to as she helped me with one of my last issues, and she actually responded and took action . She has been amazing!!! BEWARE the iphone buy back hoax!! You take your iphone back for your ATT card and they LIE LIE LIE stating you can only get it for in store accessories OR toward a new Ipad! The manager came out and told us the same thing after we had already verified that this was not true. I called ATT on the phone and all of a sudden... "ah, we can do it but we are not supposed to". STAY AWAY! I've never posted a review on yelp but I went through the whole process of signing up just to post this to maybe save someone some pain. I went in to add a new device to my plan and was vet specific about what I wanted. I specified it on several occasions. When I left I later had to call t-mobile about something unrelated that's when i found out this employee by the name of Josh had added triple the data I wanted and added insurance to the new device. I probably would have taken the insurance but that's not the point. He knew full well what I asked for and wanted but with complete disregard for it and to put more commission in his pocket or to make a quota he dishonestly added these things. STAY AWAY! One guy and one guy alone has ever been helpful AND polite in the 15 years I've come in to this location. Tonight, Daniela provided the WORST customer service. All I wanted to do was change the sim card in one phone to another. I am fully aware that this is accomplishable without coming in, but since I was passing through, I stopped in for convenience's sake. She was extremely rude, informed me "you could just do this with a paper clip," proceeded to TRY to do it with a paper clip, failed with two different paper clips, and had to ask someone else for their sim tool. Ridiculous. Next time I'll just stick to the TO location. Way better attitudes and way more adept. Also, these friends at the Camarillo store decided to close and lock the doors 20 minutes before closing....just cuz it's Saturday? Seriously the worst location they have. Usually pretty helpful but have been having so many issues with a basic line transfer. Went to the store they said do it online once the line was transferred by account holder. Got the transfer but it doesn't work online. Have spent the last 3 days trying to transfer the line but each time I call there's another issue or they say it hasn't been transferred and they can't look up their own verification codes? Weird. BEWARE!!! Read all the other bad reviews before going to this store!!! They couldn't be more on point. I was told I would get a better rate if I went with a First Net account instead of adding a line to my existing account so I did just that. After opening my account the phone I purchased was linked to someone else's business account. Also when I received my first statement the amount charged was not what they had quoted me in person. It was double. I called and spoke with fraud department and they advised to go back to store and request the First net account be canceled and added to my existing account since it would be more cost effective. I did this and was told not to worry everything would be taken care of. Here we are 3 months later and I am still being billed for First Net account and have spent 4 hours on the phone just to get the account ported to my personal ATT account. Now I am back on hold to see if First Net will restate me at the rate I would have paid if they had done what they said they were going to do in the store. read more

Stopped by to grab a phone I ordered online. The service was SUPER!!! I initially called and spoke with Gianni about the order and he was helpful in preparing my order prior to my arrival. Once I got there I met Carlos at the curbside pickup area. I informed him of my order and he retrieved it. We ran into a few issues with the setup, but he was so patient and understanding. After jumping through a few hoops, the issue was finally resolved. I was also given some useful information about some additional services I'll take advantage of. I have been an AT&T Wireless subscriber for a few months. Overall, I am pleased with the service and coverage. However, my handset died (one that was NOT purchased from At&T), so I went online to find a replacement phone. On the AT&T Wireless website I chose a new handset based on price and reviews, and found that it was "in stock" at my local Camarillo store. I drove to that store, located about 7 miles from home, and waited a short time for someone to help me buy the new phone. The sales person disappeared into the back room for several minutes, returning to say that there were no phones of that model in stock. Disappointed, I told the sales person that it showed online as being in stock at the Camarillo store, and asked if she could correct that online information. She started to say something, but stopped. I assumed that her lack of response indicated that she was either unable to correct the online inventory error, or possibly that it was too much of an effort to do so. Because of this inventory error, I wasted about 45 minutes of my time. Incidentally, it is now two days later, and the phone that I tried to buy STILL SHOWS AS BEING IN STOCK AT THE CAMARILLO STORE! read more

This is the WORST at&t store I have ever been to, they had no idea how to put on a screen protector, they took my phone to the back to put it on, and left fingerprints and hairs underneath and would not give me a refund, after I trusted them to put it on, they warned me about that beforehand about the no refunds, but I would rather drive 20 miles north to the other store than ruin my 910 dollar phone even more. read more

First I want to start his review by saying Ryan is a rock star associate for this place. This review is no reflection of the heartfelt service that my friend Jeunette and I got from him. He was will willing to go above and beyond to try and help us with our issue. Rather than go into the long details and saga that has dragged on for almost 4 months with these guys. I will just say this. Avoid this corporate store at all cost. Shadi the assistant manager is hands down the rudest person I've dealt with in any business ever. After months of trying to straighten out a insurance claim on a phone that was damaged we were asked to go back into the store yesterday to finally bring some resolution to a nightmare of a situation. When we arrived Shadi said that Brad the other manager who asked us to come in was on vacation........so we spent another 45 minutes having re explain the situation again to Shadi who seemed annoyed that we were even there. Several times from the get go he said I'm not sure why your even here as we don't deal with these types of situations in store..........? Told him that Brad and Ryan have been helping for the last 2 weeks and again we were told to come back today so that we could finally bring the matter to a resolution. We waited patiently on the sales floor for 2 hours while Shadi was talking with customer care on the phone. After 2 hours of waiting he came back and basically said he was transferred to 5 people and then hung up on. Then told us there was nothing further they could do regarding this issue. That we should go home and contact customer care ourselves. I again explained that both Brad and Ryan had been attempting to help us with this for the last 2 weeks and they both assured us they could get this issue resolved. Shadi told me I need to quit interrupting him (which I never did) I was simply explaining our issue. I never once screamed or yelled at this guy. I never used profanity with this guy. Shadi said well sorry that's all I can do for you and you may leave the store now. Both my friend and I were asked to leave the store and escorted to the door. Thankfully I did my home work and had to call Henry a district manager. Luckily after 4.5 months of dealing with a nightmare situation finally Henry was able to resolve the matter in a matter of hours not months. AT&T you should be ashamed that you employ the likes of people like Shadi especially at a manager level. He has zero bed side manner, seemed annoyed that we were in the store even though we were instructed by Brad to come back to the store on this day to settle the matter at hand. He came off like we were bothering him and basically should have been able to do this ourselves over the phone from home. I explained that if that was the case we would have done that by now and again we had attempted to do that with no luck in resolving the nightmare insurance claim issue. It's shameful that anyone would have to call a district manager personally to get an issue resolved and clearly so, seeing that Henry was able to get the issue resolved in 45 minutes not the 4.5 months it took us to get this point. I will ensure that every person I speak with in Camarillo knows to avoid this store and Shadi at all costs. I'd rather drive to Thousand Oaks or Ventura than deal with the likes of a manager who has zero people skills and lacks complete care for the clients who help fund his pay check. Also noting that between my friend and I we've been loyal faithful customers for a combined 26 years. read more

We went into the store to get new phones and update our service plan. We were initially happy with the customer service and were sold on a bundle plan for Direct TV. We were promised a $200 visa gift card and free HBO for 3 months, both of which we did not receive. We were also promised a Direct TV rate of $25 of month. Fast forward 5 months and the rate doubled. I contacted Direct TV and they advised me that I wasn't eligible for the discount plan (after 3 hours on the phone). Direct TV advised me that they aren't certain why I was promised a plan that I wasn't eligible for.....I have an idea.....they lied to me to get the sale. I hate going to this ATT store, every time I go everyone pretends to be busy and I have to ask someone to help me and they look around to see if someone else can help me. Well a couple days ago I had to go there and for the first time there was someone working there that was more then ready to help me with a new phone. His name was criag. To me buying a new phone is almost as stressful as buying a new car when it comes to asking questions and getting information and Craig made the situation great, he was very helpful, understanding and didn't seem to be bothered with all my questions. He even made me laugh, witch made the experience so easy. Anyone going to this store be sure to call ahead of time and make sure criag is working!!! Went in to store today to get new phone for my wife as hers would not charge. Store was able to get phone working. No charge, no issues. Then they did a review on my bill. They were able to lessen my monthly payment and I got new computer and watch for wife. Yes, no lie. I recommend these guys if you have phone issues. This place is horrible. I went from T-Mobile to at&t. I got the iPhone 3 days ago. The very first day it started to have issues. I have used apple products and have had almost every iPhone that has been out so far all my life. I took it back into the store today and they want to tell me that there is no issue with the phone and blamed it on the waze app for the reason my phone is acting up. Not only that when she ran it by the manager because I wanted them to switch the phone out the manager laughed and when I looked at him he stopped. Wanted to buy a couple of GoPhones for my parents since they don't use mobile phones too much and therefore do not mind poor coverage and horrible customer service (reason why I chose AT&T). Got in and there were only 3 customer reps who were all busy with customers. Wasn't acknowledged until 10 minutes after coming in by some guy with an iPad putting names in for queue (I was the first person in the queue along with 3 others). I asked a couple of simple questions regarding the GoPhones during our brief exchange when he was taking down my name and he was sure of his answers for only 50% of the questions asked. After 10 more minutes with no interaction, I took off. I'm now going to go with another prepaid plan and all future wireless service will definitely not be through AT&T. They are going down the gutter and this is a huge reason why. read more

I lived with a couple that both worked in cell phones. One for AT&T and one for Verizon after having been with Cingular for 5 years. I know a thing or two about the company and how their employees are trained. The people in this store are incedibly lazy and disinterested in doing any sort of work unless you give them an incredible reason to. I was able to tell this after spending 5 minutes or less talking to one person and watching the 3 other employees stand around looking like they had no idea what was going on. I went in because over the past few weeks my phone battery has not been holding a charge. At the very least I was expecting them to hand over a new battery, considering I've had the same experience at every other store I've stepped into. Aside from the the battery issue, I kept getting an hourglass icon at random times, so I assumed the phone may be attempting something throughout the day that was draining the battery, so I mentioned that to him as well. Any corporate store should be able to run some sort of diagnostics test but instead, this person (I didn'y notice a nametag) gave me a bunch of reasons it could be happening, all of which I could have told you. I.e. "it could be something with the phone." His words. I was as nice as I could be, and said thank you anyway and left. I immediately realized that he just stood there telling me what could be wrong but not a thing I could do about it. Also, there is something to be said for Warranty Exchange which has always helped me out, even if it meant getting a refurb phone. The salesperson didn't give me a list of locations or even suggest anyone for me to contact. His body language was also very defensive and practically keeping me from stepping more than two feet in the door. read more

don't believe ANYTHING you are told when you walk out of that store .... and Please , don't walk ....RUN!!! I went in to get a new phone as mine had gotten wet ... I told them I was unfortunately in a hurry ( I hate when people say that) and Adriel ( my sales person - who appeared new-ish ) said no problem -- so both Adriel and Salim ( asst manager / supervisor/manager -- who knows?) came out to assist me to make sure I left on time . I told them both our monthly payment needed to remain the same or lower -- they proposed a FIRSTNET program to me ( I am an ER nurse) that would " discount the new phone charge" as well as save $10 a month -- this allowed first responders a phone number to use FOR FREE -- no monthly costs in case of an emergency! Fast forward 1-2 months -- I am now getting bills from FIRSTNET stating their service is $79 a month!!! (WHAT!!! I DONT EVEN NEED THIS SERVICE!!!) I called FIRSTNET , explained my situation, and asked for them to cancel my FirstNet as ATT was not honest with the billing -- I was told not only did I owe for 2 months of FirstNet ( $79 a month) that if I cancelled, I would also owe 749.99 NOW for the phone I believed I was paying monthly for .... this is the third time I have gone into the ATT store ... .been LIED to in order to get the sale ... this time by a SUPERVISOR / MANAGER --- please please stay away -- this store has been SO unethical ... explains the very very high turn over rate .... next is ATT corporate and Better Business Bureau..... please avoid ATT!!!!! read more
