We made an appointment to go to this Verizon store today. We needed to turn in our older phones…read morethat were used as a trade-in on our new iPhones 17. One of the staff, MARIO, was right there to help us. The trade turn in went smoothly. When that was done we asked Mario to help us with another problem we were having. My email used to be on the cox.net domain. When Cox abandoned their cell customers I was concerned about having to change my email address. I had the cox.net email for probably over 15 years. It was the first and only email I ever had. I found a "fix" that forwarded the cox.net emails to a Yahoo account. That worked ok but when the transfer of info to my new phone was done the Yahoo account did not transfer. Trying to fix this was WAY out of my level of techno knowledge. That is where Mario came to the rescue. He was amazing. So knowledgeable , patient, polite and friendly. Got everything working like a charm. If you ever have the need to go to this store for help with a problem do yourself a favor and ask for Mario.

In any event, we are considering a change when the time is right. The price seems a bit high for two people. I shall do some research before making a decision. In the meantime, we have some time to decide. They have their own parking lot.

I can see why they are well-rated. Both folks (first day was Dakota, I want to say Alex when I come…read moreback) I worked with were super nice and knowledgeable. I had shattered the back glass of my iPhone, and silly me figured I would fix it myself (10 minutes they say!). Not only did I make a mess of it, but I made it a lot worse. They fixed many of my errors, were patient with my questions, and did the best they could given how much I damaged (I did not ask them to fix everything, just get back and going). Thank you!

I came to the store about 10 minutes later and spoke with Dakota again. He acted like having a customer there was a bother even though I was the only one there. I should add that I stopped by the day before around 10AM when they opened and no one was there. I called and waited for 15 minutes and left. The next day I called first and no one answered until nearly 10:30. At the time of drop of Dakota then informed me that the watch would no longer be water proof. I'm okay with that, but why could he not have told me that over the phone a few minutes earlier. I dropped off the watch and about 90 minutes later Dakota calls and says that there is a problem. Apparently the attachment from the battery to the watch came out with the battery and broke. He said this happens frequently. He also says that the person who can fix it will not be in for another 4 days. If this is something that happens frequently then he surely should have advised me of this. I would likely have chosen to not proceed with the battery replacement. But now I have no choice because the watch is now non functional until it is repaired. On the day the watch was supposed to be fixed, I find out that they weren't even having the part delivered until that day and it will be later in the day. This is now Christmas Eve. I am unable to pick it up later so have to wait until 12/26. So long story short I felt like I completely got the run around and will be without the watch for nearly a week. I was not advised that this problem frequently happens, and I should have been. I would not recommend using this repair business to anyone as they lack communication.

First, let me note that I…read morewas one of the first customers of Desert iNet many years ago, and got the best internet service I have ever had, and still do today. It is almost always on and full speed. Last Friday unfortunately at 5 pm my internet died. I called on Saturday morning, and perhaps contradicting some messaging from the company and at least one other review here I immediately spoke to a human who was helpful and knowledgable. He did some initial diagnosis, decided I would need a service call, and arranged one as soon as possible, which because of recent storms was not possible until Wednesday. Thomas the tech arrived on time on Wednesday morning, was friendly, very smart, and immediately went about further diagnosis, which quickly became apparent as an external wiring problem. Thomas set about replacing the wiring, including re-routing the path of the wiring to avoid similar problems in the future. He was very thorough, worked fast and efficiently, and had me back and running in about one hour. Many kudos to Thomas and to BAM for helping me get back on the tubes! Their people, and their technology, are clearly superior to other providers for folks like me in rural desert settings.

BE CAREFUL of BAM Broadband. They placed fiber in my neighborhood this past spring. I filed a…read morecomplaint in June. The response to my complaint was lacking. I contacted them when my neighbors let me know that a pipe supporting my sprinklers was shooting water into the street. As I was out of state, I made arrangements for someone to stop the flow. I contacted BAM and days later heard back. The water flow was stopped by neighbors. I reported the issue and the dead grass where they had dug on two properties. When contacted, I advised BAM of my returning on July 23rd. I received multiple messages requesting to come out. I answered some with the same information Today, July 25th, I received a call from a "supervisor". He repeated that they had tried to contact me. He was going to come out at 10am. He was late. A technician arrived at approximately 10:10; however,he didn't introduce himself. The vehicle appeared to be that of a subcontractor. He was not proficient in English. A second vehicle and possibly a third arrived with the logo of "ADR OF NC INC". An unmarked vehicle arrived and it was the "supervisor" . My perception throughout was the issue was my fault as in my words I didn't contact them in a timely manner. While my neighbor fixed the leak on or about June 23rd. (Given the amount of rain in June, my sprinklers were not activated until after June 21st.) They finally replaced the lawn on or about July 14th or 17th per the supervisor. It seemed as though they had done me a favor. The initial reports were in June. My frustration got the better of me. As the supervisor continued to pursue the questioning off why I (and my neighbor) took so long to reach out. I stated that I did take numerous calls from BAM only to repeat my availability. I asked to hear from whomever the supervisor reported to. He then decided to film and record me. I asked if he was recording he continue and then I said are you filming. The answer was yes. I said you should have asked permission or words to that effect. He proceeded to tell me they don't need permission in Colorado and they have a team of lawyers. My response to BAM is teach your representations and/or contractors and/or subcontractors how to listen. I knew there was a delay. There was a death in my family. I shouldn't have to explain the timelines. I just have to remember there is a drought. Water needn't keep running. The HOA has a right to expect me to maintain the lawn. Bottom line is be careful if choosing BAM. Find out who authorized them to place anything on my property.
