I really appreciate NEIL W's willingness to help me with my phone's settings. Unlike his coworker who blamed the sudden change in settings onto 'stuff just happens', he took the time to investigate & reassure me. The fix was very quick & uncomplicated but it's the attitude that made him stand out. I stopped in because I was in the area to ask about upgrades. The person working there told me I can't do anything about upgrades or she can't look up my plan because I'm not an "authorized purchaser". Had the primary user look into it and "authorized purchaser" doesn't exist. There is authorized user, which I am, or secondary user. From our account: "Authorized users can upgrade devices, change plans, and make payments in the store" So the person working there just wasted 30 minutes of my time. Emily is AMAZING! Let me tell you, if it wasn't for Emily, with the experience we had at the Standale location, we would have probably left AT&T. She is absolutely incredible. We had the most fabulous experience that you could have at the phone store. She did in one hour at the Alpine location what could not be done in two trips to the Standale AT&T which totaled to almost 4 HOURS of wasted time dealing with their incompetent staff. Truthfully, she did MORE than what they could because I was told by someone in Standale to call the customer service line because they could not help me. Seriously!!!! When I DID call CS they said I should go into the store to transfer over my number and upgrade my phone. Trust me, if you need everything re AT&T go see Emily on Alpine. Do NOT waste your time here. Kristen was the rudest, most incompetent employees I've EVER encountered. Her customer service skills are horrible and I literally left so frustrated that I was in tears by the time I got back in the car. I've received better customer service in fast food restaurants! These employees should be ashamed of themselves and the company needs to know the types of people they are employing. Kristen was zero help. We were sent the incorrect phone, went to exchange it for a "lesser" phone that we WANTED but told us just to put it in the box and mail it back. huh!? Do people typically put $950 in a box and mail it out with no explanation? The mistake wasn't OURS yet she treated us like dirt. When I told her "thanks for basically wasting our time and energy to get this problem resolved", her response was "you're welcome". WHAT!? read more

My mother and I stopped in on 10/16/21 to upgrade her phone and had the misfortune of being "helped" by Carlos. Carlos started out by telling us that if we were looking for upgrades to our phone, they had "very little in stock and we should probably go somewhere else." Wonderful start to the conversation. He proceeded to tell me that he had "very few iPhones available" and when I asked him what he had for iPhones, he said none. There was one other person in the store with 2 other reps standing around and we were told that we'd need to go to different store if we wanted to upgrade because there was nothing he could do. When I asked about an Android for my mom, because she doesn't care what type of phone she gets, he said "don't have much there, you'd be better off checking somewhere else." My mom got extremely frustrated because the service WAS AWFUL and when I told Carlos that he wasn't very helpful at all, he said "it is what it is. I don't control our stock. Try somewhere else." And pointed at the door. My mom said she will try the Verizon store back home and that she doesn't want to deal with ATT any more. This store is awful and Carlos sucks at helping anyone. Avoid this place like the plague and switch to Verizon. read more

They don't have enough staff to meet the number of individuals in the store. Additionally they don't welcome you at the door so customers are jockeying to determine who is next in line. There are currently SIX people waiting and two salespeople who are deep in assisting customers with new phones. TERRIBLE service read more

Terrible service at this store as well as att in general. They let my father add himself to our account. He ran up the bill and didn't pay. We switched accounts into my wife's name. They assured us with an account access code, I could make any changes to the account. Today the told us they needed my wife in the building with her ID to make any changes,(after making me wait 30 minutes),which hasn't been the case on many occasions. They then assured us a quick phone call would be all it took to take care of our issue. We've been on the phone for another 30 minutes because they gave us the wrong numbers for the hotspot to be switched over. Not how we like to be treated. read more

Very dissatisfied with this store. We went in hoping to upgrade our phones and add a line for our son. The girl was not very professional or prrsonable but talked us into an unlimited data plan for "only $5 more". We were nearly complete with the process when my husband asked about the discount I get through work (it was already on our old plan so we assumed it was transferring over). That was when the lady told us that the discount didn't work for unlimited plans. So we clarified with her that the increase in payment for the unlimited data wasn't going to be JUST $5 more but more like $45! We said we were no longer interested and she said that she already cancelled our old plan and we would have to call and make a claim. We really felt taken advantage of. Every time we asked "how much more would that be" for anything her answer was always the same: "only a couple more dollars". No specifics. Very shady. We left there and went directly to Best Buy and switched to Verizon. Never again AT&T. We've been customers for more than five years and you lost us due to your shady high-commission business tactics. read more

That is just ridiculous!!! The store is actually really helpful if you walk in it, usually a few people just standing around ready to help you....refusing to pick up the phone. read more
