    I was duped into buying a better model phone (because that is what was in stock) and then upsold on…read morea phone case that I way over-paid for. While he was supposedly just setting up my phone and I was deciding on whether I was purchasing a screen protector and case he installed the screen protector. Before paying I asked to see a detailed bill because it seemed high and he was speaking fast and mumbling about why it was so much. I had to sign before I could see the bill. Then he finished the set up and went in the back and printed my bill, folded it up and stuck it in my bag. When I looked at my bill after I left I realized that there was a set up fee - which when I asked if there was an "activation fee" he said no. neglected to tell me about the set up fee though. I was charged tax on the entire amount of the phone - $810 When I only was paying $200 for it. Fine if that is how verizon does it - but that should have been explained. And that screen protector was $50! I typically pay $10 for a 2 pack. Never imagined the price would be so high. I called and talked to his manager who said she would call me back after taking to him. She has not. I have a feeling this is a tactic used often. He was very deliberate in everything he did. It was very disheartening to be taken advantage of. My 12 year old watched it all happen - terrible example for him to see by a professional. I boycott this store - you do not have to be shady in order to have a successful business in Byron Center.

He knew exactly which numbers to call for AT&T and T-Mobile and guided me step by step. I'm not very tech savvy, but he remained kind, soft-spoken, and encouraging the entire time. I was so impressed with his attention to detail--triple-checking that my plan was set up perfectly for my needs before letting me go. As a first responder, active military service member, and avid traveler, my phone is essential to my lifestyle, and Ali made sure I could keep going strong without a hitch. He took the time to answer all of my questions, explained my options clearly, and made sure everything was set up correctly before I left. It's obvious that he genuinely cares about helping customers and providing excellent service. He really wanted to make sure I had the best option for what worked for my lifestyle, and I didn't feel like he was trying to sell me on a more expensive option!     I am convinced that these people know where it's all about. This is my second review on Yelp for…read morethis store and it has not changed although the people that are working there have. They take the time to correctly understand what the issue is or what you plan to do. We wanted our phones upgraded and went from a I-phone 6 to an SE as AT&T's add states. All worked out and now my wife gets one as well. As some comments are about appointments; we were helped right away. The environments are changing and so are stores : You have to wear a mask and show a driver license or some kind of identification before entering the store. This is because of the burglaries in the area. Also, they order your phone to get send home. Their store does not have many in stock anymore basically because of the above mentioned reason. There might be more changes in the future but it does not stop me from liking their customer service here.

I asked one of the workers if I had to check in and without explaining she said she was busy and I would have to wait. Then a few minutes later the other worker - who clearly saw me talking to the other worker - said "Welcome to AT&T, we will be with you in a few minutes". What? Was she trying to make a point that they were busy? She just heard her coworker talk to me. I was not expecting to jump the line or to be immediately served. I just wanted to know if I needed to check in or how the process would work. It's too bad that despite being with a company for well over a decade that you can't get decent CS. I didn't recognize any of the workers and I wish the old ones would come back.
