I stopped in twice this week.... Tuesday 5.13.2025 and today Friday 5.16.2025. I needed a new iPhone, and wanted to see what my options were. On Tuesday Brian went over everything with me, he was very knowledgeable, patiently went over all of my options, and because it was the best value, I decided to get a refurbished iPhone which is done through a 3rd party. (Asurion) I know these guys probably are incentivized to sell as many new phones as possible, and even though he did bring this up, at no point did I think he was pressuring me or withholding information about the option of getting a refurbished iPhone through the warranty that I have been paying. This was outstanding customer service. Since the refurbished phones are handled by a 3rd party, the refurbished phone was shipped to me. When I tried to set it up yesterday there was 1 issue, and I was told by Asurion that the issue could only be fixed by me going to an AT&T store. Flash forward to this morning. I went back to AT&T, and Angel handled everything right away very quickly and I only had to wait 3 minutes or so before it was my turn. He was just as great as Brian, I'm not sure if one of these guys is the store manager, but whoever is in charge you guys have a great store, and hopefully I don't have any phone problems again any time soon, but if I do, I'll definitely come back to AT&T Lincolnwood. The service at this particular AT&T store is by far the worst I've ever. We came to exchange phones, but we're left waiting for over an hour as the employee did not have access to the computer and had other types of conversations with the other employees during the time we were waiting. We were then told that the store was closed and they were not able to help us as it was already 8:30 leaving us to go there for nothing. We went back to the store the next day only to wait another 45 minutes and being told that they didn't have the phone in stock. I called another AT&T which they had it in stock at their store. I hate going to stores like this. I hate going to stores in general because of crowds, pushing and/or indifferent sales people, parking, etc. And this was pre-COVID. I needed a new phone and The Doctor and I decided to go to this store instead of the one on Golf Road because those folks like to do a hard sale on you getting U-Verse, cable, new cars, new kids, new something. Before we even got to the store, The Doctor said he was going to pull out a $100 bill and tell the sales person that he would give them the money if they didn't try to sell us anything other than the phone. Well The Doc got to keep his money and I got a new phone. The store itself was nice and airy and there was plenty of hand sanitizer and wipes around the place. Access to the store was easy and there was plenty of parking. The tables where the customers and sale reps sit had a plexiglass partition up to separate us and there was hand sanitizer on our side of the table. Selection of phones was very good. There was one phone there that was so awesome, but it was not a Samsung. It opened up into a T-shape and I almost broke down and told The Doctor I wanted that one. But that is a fairly new design and like for things to go through 2-3 generations to get the bugs out first. We were greeted by Edgar G, who asked if we needed assistance. He was very helpful, listened to what I wanted, make suggestions and got me in and out of the store with fuss or muss. During the transfer of data from my old phone to the new one, he asked what we had at home for cable, etc. I simply said I was here for the phone and he did not press the matter any further. That alone will cause me to be a repeat customer. I do not want to ever bundle all my phone, internet, whatever into one package and don't want to hear about it. And Edgar was great because he didn't try to push the issue any further. In my mind, this is the perfect sales person, get me what I want and don't try to sell me anything else that I have not asked for. This is how you get me back as a customer or make recommendations to others to do business with you. read more

The service was horrible , the customer service rep was rude , inconsiderate and absolutely no help, once he found out we just needed a sim swapped out his entire demeanor changed . I have received better service better service at a McDonald's drive through at midnight. Do not visit this store unless your buying a new phone or upgrading that's the only way you will get decent help. read more

Staff here was very friendly. I had come here cause my phone was lost at the time. I came here originally on Saturday morning around 945 and the parking lot was empty. I saw on the door they opened at 10, so I went to do a fast errand and got back about 10:05 and they were just opening up and another man was already at the door waiting. I walked in right after him and there was only one employee there at the time helping him. He told me it would be a little wait. I was a little surprised they didn't have any opening staff besides one employee, I was planning to go to a yoga class in about forty minutes but it's not something I'm set on so I wasn't too disappointed if I had to miss it, tye employee was with the man for about half an hour before another worker came in, he started helping me immediately and was very polite and friendly in the first twenty ish minutes we were working together. I then needed to have a code sent to me to cancel something with my lost phone so I could get a new one but it wanted to send the code to either my lost phone or an old email that I know longer have. The man apologized and said without the code he couldn't continue to help me and since I want able to receive it in the manners offered. He sent me to the asparian store about half an hour away in Nile's. When I get there the worker told me this is just a repair shop and there is nothing he can do, he said that others have been sent here before by att too and he doesn't know why they do that. He said that I needed to contact asparian over the phone. He was very nice and gave me the number and after about twenty minutes on the phone it was taken care off, but it was a big waste of my time to drive out there for nothing , Saturday is my one free time so it was a big waste of about an hour of my time when I could've gotten a lot done instead of just sitting in my car driving... read more

Came here a few months ago during the pandemic with my boyfriend so that he could get his first iPhone. We had a new trainee with us who was nice, but kept trying to push different products and packages on us. We kept declining stating we're just here for a phone, that's that. We were told that they could do the data transfer in the store, to which after the sale we were told it was not possible to do that. For the actual sale, the trainee obtained one of his supervisors at the time. She asked if he would want a warranty or protection plan. My boyfriend said no a few times. Then the supervisor was pushing and said, "What's your justification?" Situations like this make AT&T have a bad name. If the customer says no, they don't have to explain themselves to anyone. Services such as this don't have to be pushed so aggressively on customers. The customer service received left a bad taste in our mouths, please do not make your next customer have to justify themselves. It's just rude. Hoping this place is better now, but that was our experience unfortunately. read more

TLDR - Thanks to Jermaine's efforts coordinating with his management and Asurion (the phone insurance company), I was able to get my husband's stolen phone replaced. This guy is a gem and his staff is great. The long version - This is a good store, not just for upgrades, but if you're having issues. I've visited this store twice and dealt with three different employees in the course of trying to replace both our phones after we were pickpocketed on vacation. All of the staff were kind, efficient, and knowledgeable. Jermaine (the store manager) is really capable, and helped resolve a complicated issue I was having. He spent almost two hours with me trying to get asurion to approve my claim, and singlehandedly broke through the stalemate because of his relationships in this company and with asurion. He proactively contacted me the next day to let me know he'd had success and to know what to expect. In the course of this epic debacle, I also worked with two other members of his team. on our first visit, Edgar was there to help us file claims, and identified that our phones were insured, saving us hundreds of of dollars. He took the time to sort through some problems in our record that might have held up both our claims. Thanks to him, my claim was processed and I got my phone replaced. My husband's claim, however, was stuck. I went back again two days later after having spent hours on the phone with AT&T and asurion, and at the end of my rope. Sargoon helped me get started with clearing the issue and then brought in Jermaine when he realized this was, frankly, a mess. I really appreciate their help, and because of them, i am not going to transfer my service. read more

Pedro was awesome and helpful tonight while we looked for a case for the Note 4. No one else had body gloves and that brand that's the best for slim and durable, protective cases. In the main display, they only had pink (ew). Pedro came and helped us - he even checked the back. And, eureka! Gray! Awesome, and he wasn't rude or anything even though we aren't att customers. My second time at this AT&T and I was very happy both times with the service. Today I needed to get a new cell phone, and the sales associate was extremely helpful (and patient, as I don't know much about cell phones!) in getting everything set up and transferred over from my old cell phone. read more

Bad attitude employees! I was there to get an issue sorted with AT&T since this is the closest one to me and they kept talking about all different policies they have. They never bothered showing me some respect for being with At&T for years but instead reiterated all the policies. I regretted not going to the one across Holiday Inn .They should find a better manager like the other At&T stores. read more

My mother had lost her cell phone a few days prior and we thankfully had a replacement device at home already, but she needed a new SIM card to put in it. Went onto the website and scheduled a 12:30pm appointment at this location. Walked in at 12:20pm, and Pedro greeted us. Had me in and out in under 20 minutes with a newly activated SIM card at NO COST. That was pretty awesome to me, but it doesn't stop there. In the time I normally would have spent waiting in line, Pedro also went over our wireless bill and told us where we could save w/out trying to push us to buy additional lines of service. Great experience overall. Time is the one thing you can't get back in life and it's extremely valuable. Mine wasn't wasted here. read more

I needed a replacement for my aged cell phone and needed it badly. I did not want an I phone or even a smart phone. Work pays for one of those and every once and awhile I feel the need to be frugal and not duplicate costs. I want to have a personal cell but feel no need for it to be fancy. It also does not need to be embarrassing. The guy who helped me was great. No pressure, no highhandedness, nothing. I have some requirements (must have a decent sized screen and a keyboard for texting), once he knew these, he showed me the phones that would work, suggested a couple and gave me time to look. I picked a phone, we quickly reviewed my plan, no pressure, I was out the door. Great service, no problem, contacts transferred, perfect! read more

You may have YEARS of good service from them much like myself but BEWARE the one time ATT screws up they screw up ROYALLY. I was able to bump up my initial install date of 11/9 for internet up to 10/10 (yes! I was going to wait 6 weeks for internet b/c I'm a loyal ATT customer). On 10/10 I spent 2 hours trying to get the darn thing working and the tech center wasn't open so around midnight I gave up. The next day I found out that due to something WEIRD and stupid, my order was canceled. I then spent 4 hours on the phone that night trying to get resolution. The next day and following day I spent 3 1/2 hours on the phone. ATT is lacking dept-to-dept communication because NOBODY had an answer beyond "well we can get you a new install date on Dec 2nd"...... Shut the front door! It took me in all 9 1/2 hours on the phone with these incompetent jerks to get jerked around and ultimately cancelled. I'm embarrassed for the sales rep at the store because he was great but I'm so fed up and disgusted I couldn't justify it any longer. read more

I agree with Sara S. I was with Sprint for at least 7 years. Oscar was AWESOME and super detail oriented. He was very patient with answering all my questions and even drafted the differences of what I would be paying on paper so I could have the numbers in front of me. This all made the switch from Sprint go smoothly. If you decide to sign-up with AT&T, look for Oscar and tell him that tristinstyling sent you, he'll take extra special care of ya! I had some serious issues at the Evanston store that was sold to a 3rd party. I came into this location (online and corporate couldn't help) and Justin T (one of the managers) was amazing. So, after reading the other reviews here, I have to say I agree with both the one star and the four star reviews; hence the blended two star review. After doing my usual ton of research before dealing with a mobile phone company, I impulsively bought a new iPhone7 here and it proved a good example of what different people are saying about this AT&T Authorized Retailer. The salesman was very friendly, and confirmed what I had already figured out about the new purchase without contract plans, but tipped me over into purchasing the phone right there with some misinformation. I don't know whether he was badly trained, or just fudged something important to me, but I now have to live with it for a bunch of years, or pay off the phone in whole, and start the process of figuring out everybody else's byzantine rules that can trip me up. I'm a guy with 4 lines, possibly more to come. I know other mobile phone companies will do a lot to get my account. AT&T could keep me by just being honest, helping me find the best value, and making the profits off of me that they engineer into their plans. I don't know if it's just because this is a franchise store, as compared to the Uptown company store, but they don't seem to care that much about you once you walk out of the store. So, to stop moaning about my situation, and to give you some helpful advice when you're reading this, is to do what I did in the beginning, and do a ton of research before you walk into the store. Ask the same questions at the company stores that you do at the Authorized Retailer stores, do research online, and try and find any dedicated reviewer that's been doing this for a while to get you what you really want. Because, even if they're not trapping you in two-year contracts like they used to do, most of the programs are designed to keep you stuck to them for as long as they can keep you, no matter what new and better deals are out there. And, when you add another layer, where the store is not owned by the company, you may add another layer of conflicting interests on top of that. Good luck. read more

This is a brand new store. It just opened not long ago and I was happy to have one so close. So...the first time I called I asked for a manager as I knew that a sales rep would not be able to deal with the issue I had. The rep put me on hold to get the manager and then came back to tell me "...the manager is too busy to come to the phone and talk to you." Seriously? Too busy to talk to a customer? I thought that's what doing business was about; customers. No problem, I'll NEVER come to this store to give them my business. I'll be too busy. read more

I ordered my new phone for in-store pickup and decided to choose this store. I placed an order the night before hoping it would be ready for pickup the next day. It was still in process through the afternoon the following day. I proceeded to call the store and asked them if I can pick it up regardless of the status. They said, "Sure. Stop by." I came in and was helped by this salesperson. He sat me down and was telling me about these deals they had. Shooting his script to see if I would be interested in anything. I don't mind that part. Thats part of your job. Sweet talk to me. Thats fine. I was told if I got the $15 monthly protection plan that I would just have to pay a $50 deductible to replace my phone if something were to happen and he stated that Apple Care + would charge me a higher deductible. Disclaimer: Apple Care + does not charge deductibles unless your phone is out of warranty then you have to pay for the parts. #fakenews What I was most annoyed about was that they had to cancel my online order because they some type of "glitch" in their system and that I had to reorder it in their store. I said whatever, give me my phone I will repay what I owed on taxes. A saleswoman intruded and insisted that the charge is still pending with firm voice and restraining herself from giving me an attitude. I paid it and left. You gained a sale but you lost my respect and future business. No thank you or anything. I felt like I was at used car shop. read more

I waited a bit at this location, but my experience was still a great one and I will explain why. I walked into AT&T with the purpose of porting 2 lines from Verizon to AT&T. Upon my arrival I was greeted by Jawad and told that he would be with me as soon as he was finished with a customer. I have dealt with Jawad before and he is absolutely great! Not only did he help me with what I needed, but he also discovered an issue with my account that I had been trying to resolve with AT&T customer service yet they had not been able to do so. Whenever I walk into this location I always hope that Jawad is around as he excels at helping customers and is very pleasant to talk to. read more

Thought my iPhone was on its last leg due to minor water damage. Was happy to learn i was eligible for an early upgrade from at&t! Stephanie was able to show me a work around to access my broken home button. Later that day my phone must have finished drying and began working as good as new. Wow, two cell phone stores in one weekend...I'm on a roll! Even though I was very happy with my former cell phone carrier, my employer offers to pay for our phone service if we use our personal phone for our work phone. Since I haven't had a new phone in probably 6-7 years, I was in dire need of an upgrade! I purchased a new iphone and needed to hook it up and get it on my employer's plan. It was somewhat of a complicated situation, so I stopped by the ATT store inside the mall. Again, I lucked out as far as getting a knowledgeable, professional individual! Jacob Yusuf was a wonderful, wonderful young man to help me, the 35 year old who has no clue regarding new technology. He got my new phone hooked up in less than 30 minutes and he got me all the necessary things I needed to protect my new phone. He even got my contacts and phone numbers transferred into my new phone, and offered to do the same with my mom's phone if I brought it to him another day -my mom has one of my old phones so there are pictures I would like to have off of it! People really give AT&T a bad rap with customer service, but I don't find that to be the case. My experience was really good and a lot of friends and coworkers have iphones and are really happy with AT&T! He even clued me in to "iphone training" I can sign up for at an Apple store if I need to. Hopefully, my friends and coworkers will teach me the basics, but it is a nice option to have. I found his service to be stellar and it gave me a lot of confidence that I made a good decision by moving on to the current century (ha!)...now, if I could only figure out how to make a phone call.....lol. read more

Do not go here if you value your time. Nothing wrong with a place being busy but they need to better organize their staffing numbers. This last time I waited over half an hour after being told it would be a "few minutes". Other AT&T stores are much better staffed and I rarely have to wait. When I politely asked the woman at the front of the store (whose only job was to keep track of the waiting list) if more service reps would be on duty soon (there were 2 reps and 6 people waiting), she said "not til 4." It was 1:30 at this point. I expressed surprise at the long wait and that I've never had to wait at other AT&T stores and she said, "Yeah, I know." Really not worth coming here. read more

He was also respectful and genuine, rather than just acting as such like a pushy, insincere cold salesman talking AT us attempting to convince us of needing any and everything for (their)our gain. Don't ever think about going to this place for looking at different plans for your phone! went here to see my OPTIONS, never agreed to going with any plan and lost my grandfathered company discount and said you automatically lose it!! that's BS!! had it for several years after leaving the company and AT&T never checks if you're still an employee. These people lie to you about the policies and they will do anything to get your business!!! The manager doesn't let you talk first and butts in the conversation whenever he can. Staff seem to be somewhat on edge I understand they may have had a long day and at first I was honestly thinking that my service was going to be terrible however although it started out somewhat questionable they met my approval and I appreciate that the staff was trying with all of their customers. I was hesitant to come to this location due to the bad reviews but did given the convenient location. I was pleasantly surprised. Even though the store was visit, they had additional associates available to help. Christian provided great customer service, sticking with us until all questions and needs had been resolved. This office has the absolute most incompetent people working there. The IPhone that I upgraded is a lemon. I have gone there several times and they were useless. Then, at the same time that I upgraded the phone the salesperson told me that he could lower my phone bill by switching from Uverse to Direct TV. I did. The salesperson failed to cancel Uverse and my bill instead of going down doubled. This created a billing mess which led to my calling ATT repeatedly and finally having the corporate office getting involved. I will never step foot at that store. read more

AT&T has the worst customer service imaginable. I tried paying my bill online but the online system doesn't work. I tried calling many times but I'm sent to 3,4 or 5 different agents taking over an hour without having my problem resolved. Now I'm at the store waiting waiting waiting. Ok I'm ready to switch!!!! read more
