First upon arrival the place is very sketchy looking with nothing on the door but a hung up banner that was half falling down. When I walked in, I thought there was no employee but as I approached the counter I realized that the employee was dead asleep in the chair. This was in the middle of the day. I wasn't sure if I should try waking him up, so I walked back out and back in to trigger the sound of the door alarm. They don't take any form of card payment, only cash app, Zelle, or cash (definitely not suspicious at all). I didn't get a receipt and I had to ask the employee if he needed my information so that he could call me when it was ready. He seemed flustered and said it was his first day. I'm assuming the fact he just woke up didn't help. I called the owner about two hours in to ask for an update and he said it would be ready in 20 minutes. When he got to the store it was in fact not ready and took an additional 20 minutes. When I got the tablet back, the screen was "fixed" but the iPad did not work when trying to touch it. We brought it back in for the employee to say it was a "defective part". We had to wait an additional three hours for it to be corrected. I will say the owner was responsive via phone calls and yelp but that is the only positive I found. The price point is low, but there are competitors in the area that charge similar rates, I would recommend looking into those.

I went to the store and the new S26 Ultra was not out yet so they told me i would have to go with the S25 Ultra and the salesman started writing up the sale which required me to pay $350 since my phone had a chip on the glass. If I had time i could have paid the $200 for the insurance and had the glass replaced. Then the manager realized the only problem with my phone was the screen brightness had been turned down low. Not sure how thathappened but my phone was still good. So i said cancel the sale and i will wait until the S26 Ultra was out which was only going to be a couple of weeks. They said i couldn't cancel the sale but that they would call me when the S26 Ultra's came in. I never heard from them and after 3 weeks i went in and said they never agreed to that deal and i was stuck with the S25 Utlra. I was very upset, I became even more upset when i went to buy a case for my phone and realized they had sold me a S25+ not even the Ultra. I have been with AT&T for over 20 years but when this is contract is over i am switching to Verizon. Don't know if they are any better but they can't be any worse and i pay $150 a month. Google voice was overlaying over my regular number, I couldn't access any of my Gmail accounts etc. I went to Geek Squad and got some issues resolved, but my ability to actually use my phone to make calls still wasn't working. I then went to Spectrum store who was useless, except they said remove Google voice so that helped me make calls. But everything else was still a mess. Being new to Orlando and driving around blindly because my map wasn't working, I had to ask people how to get somewhere and stumbled upon ubreakifix by accident. Giuseppe was very nice and professional and after playing around with some settings got some more of my phone to work while I was in the building. I didn't leave my phone, or have anything cracked to fix, but he did help me with what I needed so shout out to him. And for the record, all phones are designed to fail by the manufacturer so I would keep that in mind when trying to revive an older model phone.

Kudos to the Windermere ubreakifix for the discovery. The Windermere store advised ubreakifix does not carry the Apple Liquid Retina LCD, so the only option for them was to use an inferior replacement part. I thought I asked the Winter Park store if they would use Apple parts but I DEFINITELY was not told they would replace it with an inferior part that would affect the quality of images on the iPad. Customer Support offered a $50 credit toward a future repair, on a $350 inferior repair. At the very least, the technician should have advised they could not replace my screen with the same original quality. I would have taken the iPad somewhere else, but I would have been grateful for the honesty and still a potential future customer. I've since learned that BEST BUY makes repairs with Apple parts. That's where I will go to fix this problem and all future repairs.

My iPad still has some areas where the Apple Pencil doesn't work but that would've been a couple hundred dollars more and at that time I just needed a functioning iPad asap for work. Super easy to pick a vendor and I went with uBreakiFix here as it showed the battery I needed was in stock. The store called to make initial contact which I thought was nice. I stopped in on a Sunday when they opened at noon and was greeted quickly. Gave the employee the info and he validated the insurance claim, was quoted 2 hours for the battery replacement and informed that the screen protector would likely be shattered in the process. There was a slight issue that required another 30-45 minutes after the initial time estimate. By the end of it all the battery was replaced and phone working like new. My main recommendation would be to make it right when it comes to screen protectors if installed as some can be expensive. If something breaks in other industries the repairman will normally try to make it right and replace whatever is broken in the process I think that should be included as it'll cost me at least $20 to get a new one for something that should've been entirely covered.
