I am an ATT subscriber for my cellphone service. My phone was acting up and I thought the first place I should visit for a solution would be the ATT store in Plaza Bonita. I was greeted immediately by Robert and he agreed to troubleshoot my phone. After spending a few minutes with it, he said he needed to take it in the back room for an additional person (or persons) to look at it. After about 10 minutes or so, he returned with the phone and informed me that it needed a complete factory reset which would obliterate all my personal data and information. With such a drastic suggested solution, I decided to get a second opinion by the Geek Squad in the Chula Vista Best Buy. It was fixed there while I waited, at no charge by simply downloading one program with no loss of my data or information. read more

Terrible terrible customer service! Attempted to return my WiFi Hub that didn't work, and the TV Box. After wasting an entire day yesterday, I decided to return everything and cancel, however when I showed up this morning they got very argumentative, and kept insisting on troubleshooting the Hub. NOTE: read the BBB Complaints, and there is a history of them getting this way when a customer wants to cancel. Google Reviews are not so good either. Anyway, I had to take their Hub to a UPS Store to ship back. Wait, whose defective product is this?! Does Target make you ship a defective microwave back?! I get to the UPS store that Robert told me to go to, and lo and behold unless you have a label, they don't accept stuff. As far as canceling the WiFi and TV, OMG! I spent two days, six different calls at over 30 min each and never spoke to anyone. If you read additional reviews and BBB Complaints, this is a tactic they use to try and wear you down. This AT&T Store refuses to assist me. Nice job! I actual never had any service see g as their Hub didn't work, so feel free to send me a Bill. My credit Union is very good about Blocking and Disputing Fraud charges so they don't get a penny. UPDATE: 3/5/26 - I was finally able to get through on the phone after 15 min wait. As all the reviews online, and BBB Complaints, as soon as I used the word 'Cancel' the girl went into the 'oh sh*t' mode, continuously offering me all these deals. Don't come here - we were charged an 80$ activation fee for a new phone trade in and we didn't realize until later we were not required to pay that as our plan states our activation is included in the new phone trade. I ordered a phone online yesterday morning, somehow the links to verify my ID given via my email and the other links provided by the associates on the ATT website/app chat were not working. I proceeded to head to the actual store, thinking the reps here at the ATT Bonita location could help me out. I get there and they just tell me to call the customer rep. I got back to my car and called the number for customer rep, and the rep was also surprised that I was not provided some assistance by these so called reps; these 2 guys at the store did not even do anything with their damn useless tablets or ask for my information. They were just standing there, talking to each other, not even have other customers! Clearly not busy and readily available. But no! Been a customer since 2009! So this is the way y'all treat us! A possible solution could have been to advise me to cancel my online phone order and restart a new order with them in person and use their damn tablets etc, put my new order in. So today, May 20, I went to the AT&T Mission Valley location and told them all the hassle I had with the upload id links, online reps, in person rep at the ATT Bonita store not providing assistance, calling in customer rep etc. Thank goodness the reps here were more helpful and knowledgeable. 1. I walk up to the front and both guys look at me and don't acknowledge me. I have one guy in front of me with his customer which is fine and I have the other guy sitting on his ass on his phone and just continues doing so. Time was about 11:30 on 12/17/20. 2.I decide to walk up to the useless guy sitting on his ass and he immediately starts YELLING at me to "GET BACK! GET BACK! 6 FEET APART! GET BACK!" I'm hard of hearing but no way I'm standing in this dudes face. You guys really need to have some supervision and pay for some proper customer service training. I'm in the customer service field and no way in hell would I ever talk to any client like this. I was prepared to spend cash on a phone for my little sister. This was my favorite place to buy phones since it's inside the mall and can get multiple things done at once. This one experience killed it for me. This is the most unhelpful and inconsiderate ATT Store! I walked in on April 7th at 545 pm to get assistance with an unreturned device charge that keeps recurring on our phone bill. The charge occurred on Feb 2021 bill and I have spent 6 hours within 3 days to resolve this issue. To our surprise same charge occurred on March 2021 bill. After trying to resolve the issue online and phone that took another 2 hours it didn't yield any results. So after work I went to this store to get help since this is the very same store where I returned the device in December 2020 after upgrading. Apparently the rep Alexander had a better idea of me doing his job and just dialed the number for ATT customer service that rerouted me a dozen times and his best response was OK. I stopped by the ATT Store inside the Plaza Bonita Mall in San Diego, Ca. I simply wanted to discuss charges on my bill. The representative immediately told me to contact the customer service line, and dismissed me as a customer. Im sure if i were going to purchase something he would have been more inclined to help me. I spoke to the manager and he assisted me with my bill and answered my questions. I expressed my dissatisfaction with his employee, however the manager didnt appear to be surprised, nor really care. The representative was a Filipino or samoan male working on 10/23/2022 at approximately 12pm. This is a warning to anyone wanting to get u-verse for their home in the area. Or any services through att that will potentially ever require troubleshooting. I've been with the company for 8 years using their internet which is not the cheapest in comparison to other companies around, and at the sign of not having internet (a Friday) as I work from home I called their customer service after completing the trouble shooting steps offered online. After hours of trying to figure out what it could be over the phone I was told a technician would need to be sent out. One would not be available until the following Wednesday. Scheduled an appointment with a window between 8-10. Never showed. Called around noon to see what was happening and was told they were on their way that it was guaranteed to be resolved by the end of the day. 4pm rolls around with no notice and gave them a call back to see how late they could be coming out until and they told me until 8. Never showed never called me to reschedule. I called again the next day and was told next appointment available would be on Friday. 10-12. Never showed! Called to see what was going on and again was told they would be there between 4-8pm. No call and of course no one ever came. I called a corporate store in the area and was told there was nothing they could do because they are different entities the technical side and the sales side. So basically they are selling you a service that you will never be able to get help for if something goes wrong. Once the sale is made to you, good luck in trying to get anyone to care about if you are happy or not, the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I cancelled my service and went to t-mobile in the area which has no wires to complicate things, no outages and much better customer service: my recommendation go with the company who cares about you after they sell you their service. I missed most of the conversation between my elderly parents and this rude representative. The tone was SO condescending and my dad was asking simple questions like how much would an upgrade would be and what phone would be best. The representative pauses and looks at my dad, pulls down his mask and says "um...i don't know? What phone do you want? You don't make any sense. I don't understand what you're asking." So my dad repeats him self saying if there's any extra charge to upgrade and which phone is better the iPhone 11 or 12? The representative looks confused, doesn't respond for a little and says "well. that depends? what can YOU AFFORD? I really don't understand what YOU don't understand?" So i chime in because i don't get the hostility--isn't this his job??? I ask, "i think the question is other than paying for the phone, are there any other fees accompanied with an upgrade?" And my dad says "my daughter came in and she said all she paid was taxes" and he goes "well, I'm sure she has a monthly, these phones are EXPENSIVE..so unless you're buying the phone in FULL then yes you have a monthly....i really don't get your confusion." at this point i had my two young children here so i didn't want to make a scene and i said "ok thanks we will look around" and this representative has the audacity to say "PLEASE. Take your time," in such a condescending way. my elderly father was overwhelmed and felt discouraged to upgrade then and there because he felt stupid. So we walk out and representative waves bye "HAVE A GREAT REST OF YOUR DAY" while laughing to his coworkers. We walked into the store to a guy behind a table, pointing "come here." He asked what he could do for us today. My mother tried answering, but she couldn't find the right words. English isn't her first language. Instead of the man trying to help her, he bluntly says " I don't know what you're saying" in a disrespectful and rude way. The reason we went in today was to trade-in one of our phones. We left unsuccessful. There must have been some communication failure when we first purchased our iPhone 12 because we thought full well our iPhone 6s was eligible for $350 off. This man tells us it is not, which is understandable because it does not pass one of the "4 questions" or whatever. This was not our problem here, it was the rudeness. Again and again he continues to say " I don't know what you're saying" which pissed me off. Customer service is definitely something this store needs to work on. There are definitely some gems in here that score good deals with customers, but there are some who need some serious work. Found out around January timeframe that one of the number in our account had porting issues. Called AT&T to inquire and get resolution to the issue with the phone line. After several transfers we finally got hold of the porting department. Keep in mind that I was already talking to AT&T for 4 hours, and the resolution they can give me is to go to a corporate store and get a new SIM and phone number. So that's what happened, I went to the AT&T corporate store inside Plaza Bonita Mall. The gentleman that help me tried to check the phone and performed some test in order to make sure that the phone is in good working condition, after that he then suggested that we get a new phone number for my daughter. We got the SIM and phone number, but little did we know that we are still going to pay for the service on the number that was having porting issue. So today we went back to the corporate store to ask if they can help us with the problem, and if they can help us transfer the installment plan to the new number they provided us. Myself and my wife was trying to resolve the issue with the store manager and another personnel in the store, we were there for 5 hours! We are asking them to help us figure out the best possible solution to the issue, and ask if they can call their corporate office so that we can resolve the problem. All they can tell us is that we need to call AT&T ourselves and have them resolve the issue with us! As a customer asking for help they should have at least tried to call corporate and see if theirs a way to help us resolve the issue!!!!!!!!!!!! I have already wasted my time so many times just to resolve this problem! I even have to pay Verizon 320$ because the porting was not properly done by AT&T, because when the number was not ported out it showed and active account with Verizon! Without us even knowing that that happened! One of the suggestion they made to make the issue go away is to pay the full balance on the phone! Wow who has that kind of Money during this pandemic! Theirs a reason why we got an installment plan in the first place! As a customer I am very disappointed with the customer service the Manager and AT&T store stuff today! I have come to this location on 3 occasions for various things such as paying a bill in person. Checking to see my deductible and questions on my insurance and the gentlemen I dealt with 2x was Manny. He's greeted me when I walked into the store without a smile and would often look away when I was speaking to him. I'm not sure if this is the store or the kiosk, but my review is about the store near. Horrible experience and I plan to contact the attorney general along with the BBB. I was assisted by Andrea, the manager and I say that with sarcasm because she has worded for ATT for 9 months and has been a manager for 3. I went in for an upgrade on the 3 lines which according to my account I was able to but need to pay $116.32 for each phone. She starts to process the transactions and says she will charge each phone one by one. First payment of $116.53 was charged and she says she though she had an issue, but everything is fine. She then goes on to the next transaction and then processes the next transaction, but in a total of $249.79. She then tells me I don't don't qualify for an upgrade due to a previous suspension on my account. Even though my account says I do and I called in to customer service on 6/21 and was told what I needed to do for an upgrade. I asked for my money back since I can't upgrade she tells me its non-refundable. I asked if she can el the transaction she says no and by the way I'm talking to her and she smiling as if it's funny. She tells me to come back tomorrow but she can't guarantee to can do anything. I asked if she could show me in the policy where this is non refundable she couldn't I asked her to write me a statement stating what happened today so tomorrow this can be resolved she says no. I have been having an issue with my bill for 2 months. When calling customer service I was not getting the answers I need. I was nervous about going into the store due to COVID but figured I needed to talk to someone in person. I had upgraded my phone and was told there was a discount but when receiving the bill I didn't see any discounts. I first want to acknowledge the detail to safety precautions I observed. As I waited I saw people walking in without a mask and immediately being asked to put one on. The tables were wiped down between customers and they were enforcing a limit on customers allowed in the store. When I was asked what I came in for I explained the issue with my bill. Primo was courteous and took the time to review my account and explain to me how the discount works.
