Well I took my friend Joanne to this store today. We had already decided her phone was shot and we were going with another carrier. We spent countless hours o the phone with Samsung and AT&T. We did factory reset on her Samsung A16 the day before because of bank breach and malware. We could not get her pin on her phone to work. She was locked out of everything that required a 2-step verification. We walked into the store and met Cody. Cody is a true techie! He saw the frustration and understood we could not get into the phone to even get a 2 step verification for banking, AT&T and Gmail recovery. Cody was like having a Samsung tech at the store. He was able to go above and beyond any AT&T technical issues and fix the Android. We decided to stay with AT&T only because of Cody and his knowledge! We are bringing Cody some holiday cookies because we were so impressed! Keep this employee because he is very valuable and his knowledge is priceless! Thank you Cody! Unfortunately, there is a reason this store has such bad reviews. I have never experienced such horrendous customer service as I did from Shawn. I was given different information from multiple AT&T representatives. He was extremely rude as I was asking clarifying questions. At one point, I called him out on his attitude and rudeness and he responded with "I can show you attitude". This was a grown man, acting like a teenager. I have been an AT&T customer for many years. This interaction was so bad, it is making me rethink my loyalty. read more

AT&T overall is the most horrible and dishonest business i have ever used!! Their hold time is long and they seem to outsource to foreigners who are difficult to understand. They claimed they did not receive our trade in phones on time, only one phone and couldn't find one of them, even though I mailed them all in together using their mail in label. They made us pay the full price for 2 trade in phones. They were rude and the manager was partly aggressive in tone towards me in the oak harbor store. The corporation itself wouldn't help us out at all even though we had been loyal customers for years. We switched to team mobile and they are much much better! and with all the extra incentives and friendly american customer service and trade in $$ and paying off our phone $$ I will NEVER go back to the dishonest and corrupt experience I had from AT&T!! My wife and I walked into this AT&T store with the intention of upgrading her phone using the early upgrade feature she had paid for. Little did we know, we were walking straight into a web of deceit spun by the bald, tattooed salesman who "assisted" us. I'm going to omit his name because, according to other reviews, there are allegations that he resorts to switching name tags to avoid accountability. From the moment we stepped in, it was clear that honesty was not a priority for this individual. He bombarded us with lies and manipulations, preying on our trust and lack of knowledge about the intricate details of our plan. Here's a rundown of the deceitful tactics employed by this salesman: Lie #1: He insisted that we had to purchase an Apple Watch in order to proceed with the phone upgrade, claiming it would lower our bill. This turned out to be a blatant fabrication, as later confirmed by AT&T customer service. Lie #2: Without our consent, he enrolled our entire account into the AARP program, promising us a non-existent 10% discount on our monthly bill. Not only was this discount fictitious, but he also misled us by claiming that signing up for AARP was free. Lie #3: The salesman lied about the terms of AT&T's early upgrade program, falsely stating that we couldn't opt out until after 6 months and conveniently omitting the additional charges it would incur. This deliberate manipulation of information was designed to make us believe we were saving money when, in reality, our bill would have increased significantly. It's imperative to note that each of these deceitful claims was meticulously verified directly with AT&T customer service. Furthermore, to add insult to injury, the salesman had the audacity to charge us a $55 'restocking fee' for the Apple Watch, despite us returning it less than 16 hours after purchasing it. Fortunately, AT&T customer service assured us that they would reimburse us for this unjust charge on our next bill. I urge anyone considering doing business with this AT&T store to proceed with extreme caution. Do your research, ask questions, and don't trust everything you're told, especially by this particular salesman. Spread the word and protect your fellow community members from falling victim to his deceptive practices. Side note: As I was writing this review we realized that he also added a $17/mo warranty on the new phone despite us explicitly telling him in the store to exclude any warranties. It seems the bald guy has done the same thing to multiple customers. He goes so far as to change his nametag he is such a swindler. you cant even trust his nametag. He adds all sorts of "HIDDEN" fees aka. ($50 charges for putting a cheap screen protector on etc...), lies about deals and even offers "free" items that he then charges $100's of dollars for. When I approached him about the "free" apple watch he added to my phone "Package" the bald guy was arrogant and rude as he explained that I should have returned it within the 14 day return period he gave me... but since he told me it was free i didn't see that i was actually being charged $500 for the apple watch until the end of that first MONTHS billing cycle... watch your wallet! This is an AT&T Prime store, as opposed to an AT&T corporate store. our purchase of new phones resulted in add one that were not necessary, undisclosed (called "cramming"j and hard to back out after the fact. We were sold an unnecessary extra line, duplicate "protection" plans, and "Next Up", all without disclosure at the time of sale. I'll never go there again. i understand the Anacortes store is run by AT&T a corporate, and has better business practices. read more

Avoid!!! Traded in older iPhones for new. Was promised a generous trade-in credit and reasonable monthly charge. Reality was credit granted less than half promised and monthly charge twice what was projected. Multiple trips in to resolve resulted in only frustration and no solution. Finally escalated to corporate AT&T in hopes of some sort of resolution. My advice is if you want AT&T service go to the AT&T corporate store in Burlington. The Oak Harbor store is only an "authorized retailer" and clearly operates at a much much lower standard and may be involved with bait & switch practices. read more

I haven't a clue as to what I'd do without the reps at my Oak Harbor, AT&T! Rob has been helping my family and I for years and doesn't quit until he either fixes the problem, or gets us help. We have always left satisfied. My daughters and I seem to do something that requires a profession to rectify the situation- and not once have we received the look or feeling that the employees are annoyed that it's us again. When Rob isn't working, and we've gone in, we have received great service from the other employees as well. read more

Don't bother calling ahead to see if they have the iPhone model you want. We did that, asked about two models, and were told "Yes" that they had both. When we got to the store, they did NOT, in fact have either of those models. Instead we got a sales pitch for the ones they DID have. The reason we called is that we had done our research and knew what we wanted, thus the phone call!! Total waste of time. read more

If you are hoping to end up with a wireless service that costs much more than what was promised - both in initial fees and monthly costs - look no further, this is the place. My first bill shows a variety of "enrollment" fees that were never mentioned, my corporate discount - after being told was active - didn't show up, and will take "several months" to process. Manager at the store lied to us and said there was a promo which would effectively give us a free phone upgrade if we add a new line but the line would be free. Yada yada yada, total BS so they can get more commission. Had to spend hours with AT&T afterwards undoing the crap charges they put on our account. read more

Don't let them install the screen protector for you if you purchase one. I bought one for $40 and it's not centered. The salesperson, David, didn't even ask if I wanted him to install it. Less than a month later it started to crack around the edge and they won't exchange it because it's been more than 14 days. Not a very good policy and they should have at least asked me if I wanted to put it on myself. I certainly wouldn't have done such a sloppy job. read more

Just as everyone else has said, you will be lied to. I was told I would receive a military discount. I am active military and have shown them my military ID multiple times and every time I receive an email stating my military discount will expire in 10 days. Finally I came in while on the phone with their discount verification service and they wouldn't even speak with them to solve the issue. The employee told me if I signed up for their plan I would pay 70$ per month. When I paid for the first month in the store this was true. The following month however my bill jumped up to 139$ per month. When I called billing to see what happened they told me this was the usual amount for the plan I signed up for and he couldn't figure out how I was promised a 70$ per month. I have been a loyal AT&T customer since 2003 and I am sad to say I will be going elsewhere now. read more

We bought two new iphones and wanted to upgrade our existing plans. The hoops AT&T corporate made the staff jump through were substantial, but they handled it gracefully. They stayed past the end of their shift to see the transition through, found and gave us coupons for accessories, and demonstrated considerable knowledge and patience. It's a good and competent team at this store. read more
