My AT&T nightmare started with a friendly sales agent at an AT&T store. I even gave him a gift for the help. After some period, I decided to switch to another cell phone company. I had hours of conversation with AT&T agents as to the final bill. I took meticulous notes. I thought everything was agreed. I WAS THEN SENT TO COLLECTION over the final bill!!!! I bought two apple watches, wore one for two days then bought it here to return. After 10 days called customer service to close the line and found out that the watch was not marked as returned. Went back to the store and they still had it claiming "I LEFT IT THERE" Yet no one called me to say "I LEFT IT" ? and if you could not return it, no one let me know? SHADY. I mailed the other one because when your responsible for things that's what you do. I sent them back within the 14 day trial period. I'll make this short. Customer service is terrible at this store. They don't care about their customers - this is not how AT&T was in the past. Now, anything goes. What happened. We walked in to buy a new phone. Two ladies came in after us - there were other people waiting, but there's no sign in sheet, so it must be on the honor system. Somehow, the clerk started to help the two ladies. They spoke the same language, so he must've felt that he couldn't tell them to wait. We watched and finally Cindy asked why they were being helped before us? She told the clerk that we came in before they did. Instead of doing the right thing and telling the two ladies to wait, he told us that they only needed some information and it would take just a minute. Hah! After a bit of time, they finally left, so we figured it was our turn and we asked him to show us the phone. He said there were people ahead of us and we'd have to wait! WHAT!!! I"m okay if we have to wait our turn, but there's not sign in sheet and people of a similar race get preferential treatment? NO!!! Cindy is a lot nicer than I am when things like this happen, so she simply asked him where we could see the phone. He said that they hadn't put up the phone yet! I said lets go, but she asked another question - if they have one in back we could purchase. He said yes and again told us to wait. Cindy asked if he was sure and he changed his tune and said he wasn't sure, but we could wait our turn and he'd check. COME ON! It takes what??? 30 seconds to look up inventory levels on the computer and he was maybe 15 feet away from one. Also, there's another lazy worker sitting behind the desk doing NOTHING!!! I had enough of this and told this lazy worker that he needs to treat his customers better. As we left, I made sure others heard about it! Cindy retired from AT&T - back when customer service mattered. Management would listen to their phone calls to make sure they were treating customer right and being a good employee. This new breed of AT&T reps are lazy, spineless and have not clue what customer service is all about. So, I wrote this Yelp review in hopes that someone in management would look into the incident. No, you're not going to lose a customer today, but I will not step foot in that store again. And I live a few blocks away! And you can bet many other people will hear of this. read more

If I could leave ZERO stars I would. I've had issues with this specific AT&T store a few times before as well, but this one just takes the cake. I went in to change a mobile phone number and purchase a new phone for it and man did they ever drag out the process. First off, there were no other customers being helped and about 6 employees either standing around or horsing around in the back (those doors aren't as sound proof as they may have thought). Now I'm not sure how technical my request was as it seemed simple enough and I've done it multiple times at other stores, but I was being helped for a ridiculous 1.5 hours! Just imagine, ZERO customers, simple request and yet I had to go through canyons of time where my rep was gone for increments of 15-20 mins without any updates. I won't name any names for the sake of humanity but this was unacceptable. If you need to go to an AT&T store, avoid this place at all cost. I took another chance with them cause it's across the street from my office and I got what I deserved by going back there. I could've easily drove to the store in Old Town Pasadena, have their reps busy with customers and still come back and it wouldn't have taken 1.5 hours. Worst store I've ever been to. I was here for 6 hours. I needed a new phone, Instead of upgrading my line which had an upgrade. They told me to add an additional line to the account for only $10 a month and I could get a new phone. Instead they added 3 lines to the account with installment plans for all 3 and insurance plans for all 3 lines that did not exists on any of my devices. I already pay for the family insurance on all my devices. Additionally they added an installment plan for the new phone on one of the new lines. Unfortunately that line cannot be removed from the account because there is an installment plan attached to it even corporate cannot reverse this. When I went into the store they denied doing it and blamed me! All of the employees that were there the day it happened were there the day I confronted them as well. I had to go through corporate to report fraud and the extra $350 that was charged to my account was refunded back to me. Except for the line they added the installment plan to cannot be reversed and now I am being charged for that monthly when that line isn't even on any of my devices. The store manager gave me her card but doesn't answer any calls or text. read more

I upgraded my iPhone at this store in 2015, and it took more time than it should have taken. I asked the salesperson to enroll the new iphone in Applecare but she enrolled it in AT&T's insurance program. I called them to find out if they currently had an iphone I wanted to upgrade to in stock, and the sales rep said he couldn't tell me whether or not it was in stock, and that it was a company policy. If the store didn't have it in stock, I didn't want to waste the time or the fuel required to visit that store. I called another AT&T Store, they told me how many they had in stock, and said it was not a company policy to withhold that information. read more

Don't waste your time here. All they care about is lying about what they can offer and not tell you what they can really offer you. My father went in to try and get a better deal and they mentioned that it would be cheaper to use a business account rather than a personal home account for direct tv, phone, and internet in a bundle. My father called me and told me if it was okay to do that, I gave them all my information over the phone. Ammy did a horrible job. I personally didn't qualify for an account; and she still went ahead and processed it without telling me. We then began to receive notifications of all these requirements that we needed to do - in order for us to get approved. I had no problem in doing all that but then Ammy went missing and we were not able to get a hold of her. She texted us from her business phone when she was trying to get our service and account but didn't when we had questions. SHE AND THE WHOLE CREW WASTED MY TIME AND DADS. I understand that ATT is probably the best service provider in everything they do - but they have horrible customer service. Don't go here and waste your time, energy. We decided to go with spectrum and got a better deal than anywhere else. Ammy, you should definitely work on your customer service skills because clearly you don't know how to follow up or keep a customer engaged. The worst customer service ever!!!! I've been a customer since 2004 and I rarely have to go in for assistance. I wanted to add a service to the account I was told I needed to get on the queue and so I gave them my name waited 2 hour and when I was next they helped someone that walked in for a simple item replacement that took 45 min!!!! When we said something they said we will be right with you and the representative left after assisting and never came back and when we asked to speak with a manager he was "on a call" they wouldn't give a name or business card. So irritating !!!! I literally called att customer service and was assigned within minutes. Never going to that store again. Waist of time. The manages name is "Dom" who was too busy to assist customers or to acknowledge the but not too busy to go to Starbucks next door and have his coffee and pastry. I came in for some prepaid services and the information I got was much different from what I was told on the phone. Probably a miscommunication from their online and retail service, but whatever. When I was asking for more information, the staff just pulled out their ipad from their belt holster and started to research the information online. I thought it was a simple question, but it took about 10 mins before she found the answer online. Then when I questioned it, she said she wasn't too sure. Ayiii. The reps here are welcoming however have no ability to resolve customer escalations related to bills. The rep literally told me, "I wish I could do more but you need to call into customer care." My wife and I went to this store about 2 weeks ago and bought a 2-line wireless service, the seller Kelvin told us she could waiver the activation fees and the monthly bill should be around $120 + tax, 2 days later, the bill showed up. The bill is $322.65! The seller didn't waiver my activation fee and she even added some unknown insurance to my account. Then, we went to this store again and again to talk about this bill, and today it's our fourth time to this store, the stuff there have endless reasons and do nothing. I don't know what the fuss is all about. I truly believe that if you act nice or at least normal, you'll be treated fine. The sales associate that helped me was really friendly and professional. She gave me different options as far as my plan goes and told me about current promotions. In the end, I had to cancel the transaction, not because anyone did anything wrong, but due to me not being able to use my points. The sales associate was very understanding and said that when I got the watch from Macy's since I could use my points there, I could always come back to activate it there. read more

I signed up for a TV package. I was told that it would include PBS. The salesman lied to make the sale so I was told that I could return the merchandise in 14 days in fact I verify that with AT&t on the phone they said they would be a $50 return fee and I objected. I now have received a bill for $120 that simply said I didn't return the phone in time or it was damaged neither one was true. For over 30 years AT&t has had a repetition reputation for cheating people. But I thought perhaps they changed unfortunately it's part of the AT&t culture to misrepresent their products stay away from these people. read more

Do not go to this store for any reason, ever. It will waste your time and money and hurt your soul. After my mom purchased the wrong kind of phone charger for me it has been impossible to return it to this store. The first two times I stopped by they had 45-60min wait, even when I got there 10 minutes before they opened. This third time today, they had the same 60 min wait so I asked if it's possible to make an appt. I also complained that it shouldn't ever take 45 min to exchange a charger. They then informed me that after 14 days I cannot exchange it at all. Period. Even though it is unopened. It's been 25 days since it was purchased. I asked how I can file a complaint and they said there is no system for this. None. No system to take customer service complaints. For real. I said I would have made an appt the first time had an employee suggested it to me when I said I couldn't stay and wait 45 min. This is absolute garbage customer service. My son's phone died and I wanted to get him a phone before he returned to school. I made an appointment at the AT&T store on Foothill Blvd., for 4:30 pm for today. We checked in at 4:30 pm as requested, and proceeded to wait, and wait, and wait! I was growing impatient when the 5:00 pm appointment was called before mine. I stood up and asked about my appointment which was ignored by the rep and he still proceeded with the appointment after mine. Obviously when we were finally called we were exceptionally upset and questioning the process for handling appts out of order for which Justin could give us no logical explanation. If I hadn't needed the phone so badly I would have left the store and voiced my concerns to AT&T directly. My husband was even more upset and asked for a manager and surprise, Justin claimed he was the manager. After a heated exchange Justin handed us off to Cory and things proceeded calmly after that. Cory was far more professional and knowledgeable than the store manager. We got my son's phone and left. I am a long time AT&T customer and have never been treated so poorly. I spend an awful lot of money on my AT&T devices but this whole experience has me rethinking my "customer loyalty". I'm still wondering why I spent my hard earned money at this business. Their reps need more training in customer service and their store managerJustin is a joke. I strongly encourage you to seek another store and/or mobile provider as, based on the attitude of the store staff, they do not value their customers or customer's experience when shopping for service or phones. My SA gave me his personal number if I need any further assistance but has been unresponsive to my texts and calls. Additionally, when you try to call the store's phone number it rings endlessly, never being picked up or going to voicemail. The representative that I dealt with decided to omit that I would have to pay a $200 fee if I decided to purchase the plan I was being pitched. Not only that, but he also decided to tell me that they no longer sell Apple Care in the store - which I come to find out is not true. I wish I would have read the reviews from this place before deciding to come here because apparently I'm not the only one that this has happened to. I am deducting 1 star because they never pick up their phones! I called so many times because I had a simple question that would determine if I could go in that day or not and I never got through. I ended up going down there and there were a ton of employees standing around with barely any customers. I'm not sure why they can't pick up their phone if they're not busy. With that minor irritation aside, my visit to the AT&T store was awesome. I always prefer this location over the one in Old Town because they are much nicer and more professional. I was greeted at the door by Mervat. She was so friendly and helpful. I was looking to upgrade my iPhone 4 with a gaping hole on the back to the iPhone 5. She helped me transfer my contacts and even charged my dying phone for me while we went over everything. I know it's her job to cross-sell their other services and she did that but in a very non-pushy way. I actually appreciated hearing about the promotions and benefits of their products. They have a special of $15 per month for internet services for 12 months. They also give you a discount on an iPad or iPad mini if you sign up for contract for their internet service and it's only $10 additional a month if you have a cell phone plan. I told Mervat that I am moving within a month so I am not ready to switch but those are great deals and that I will think about it. She promptly gave me her card and said to let her know when I'm ready or if I have questions. She really made me feel like she wanted my business. I will definitely be calling her after my move to sign up for more services. read more
