Came to this store not knowing it's not a company store. Upgraded my phone, and got charged some extra store tax?? Chalk it up to experience it's ok. However come to find out they screwed up my plan. Added a bunch of things into the plan without my authorization. Use the wrong promotion that doesn't allow a trade in. What the heck!!! The customer service here was the worst that I encountered in my entire life. Let me just say that the experience was enough for me to close my 20+ year account with Verizon. I immediately called 611, filed a complaint against this Latina woman with light blonde hair and the Verizon customer service rep was so aghast with my experience that she bubbled it up to management. I'm disappointed and disgusted in the way they treat good, loyal customers. My mom also experience a horror story when one of their employees signed her up, added all kinds of unnecessary features and added an extra phone to her account that she kept for herself. Probably sold it to a criminal who I tracked on Find my iPhone to Fortwprth Texas. I mean, where does Verizon hire their sales staff from? Prison? Yeah. This place is not a verizon store. Only has 2 employees no manager to talk to so if they do something wrong no one there to fix the issue. After three bad experiences... in a row, I'm finally giving this store the review they deserve. Bad customer service and lots of employee turnover. Its likely a training issue or lack of good management or a combination of the two. Communication consistently bad, they seem unable to honestly answer questions, they make things up and this was confirmed by other Verizon stores. Today was the final straw. I went to pop in to see if my new phone was compatible with my plan and they were closed. It was 6:00 PM, the door said 7:00 PM, the associate kept trying to tell me from across the room, with a mask on, pointing to the door the store was closed. After a few back and forths of me not understanding she was pointing to a piece of paper with tiny writing that had the new store hours written by hand. How hard is it to update your hours and print a temporary sign with big bold writing to let customers know you have new temp hours? The worst part is the store is only 5 blocks from my house. I'm going to try and make this as short as possible: About a month ago I wanted to get off my mom's phone plan (that she has with Verizon) and get my own plan with my boyfriend (still with Verizon). We went to this store and explained what wanted to the employee working there. He said that was doable so he proceeded to help us out. He told us about these promotions Verizon was having that would actually save us around $1,100.00 for 2 iPhone Pro Max 12 phones. So we agreed to the offer. About halfway through this process, I was curious why we were able to get new phones before we even decided on a plan, so I asked him if we were on our own phone plan and he informs me that we wouldn't qualify for these promotions if we weren't on my mom's plan. So not only was I still on my moms plan, now my bf is on it too (side note: I am not the account manager on my moms plan so why is it possible for my bf to be added to her plan without her consent?) He tells me that I would need to come back another day to remove my bf and I off my mom's phone plan if we wanted to get our own. Life got busy, a few weeks went by. My mom started bugging me to get my own phone plan. So we go back to this store. The employee that was there weeks before, is not in, and it's just these 2 girls. Keep in mind no one is in the store but us. We tell them we want to get on our own plan, so Anna (the employee) calls this number and has her on hold for about an hour. When she finally gets through to somebody, she is told that they cannot release my phone number without my moms consent. So I call my mom and the guy on the phone has to eventually get us on a 3 way call so my mom can give consent to release my number. After a 45 min long conversation, my mom releases our numbers and I am able to get my own phone plan. At this point I sat at an empty work station because I was basically doing all this work by myself with the guy on the phone. Our call drops, I end up figuring out what I was trying to figure out by myself. When we first got there, the girls told us about this promotion where we can buy 1 get 1 free for Apple watches. We just have to pay the taxes on both phones. I agreed because I assumed it was going to be an easy transaction. Boy, was I wrong. My bf and I were there for another 2 HOURS (TOTAL 4 HOURS) because Anna did not know how to activate our watches. My bf and I took turns going to starbucks next door to get water and go to the restroom because we were there for so long! I felt a sense of dread rush over me like I was going to eventually die in this Verizon store. We kept calm and were as patient as anyone would be in this situation. I probably made 50 comments / jokes of how long we were there. Anna (the employee) probably called 30 different people to ask for help and no one could help her. And when another customer came in with a phone issue, BOTH girls stopped what they were doing to help this man with his phone when we've been sitting there for HOURS at this point. Fix my issue first since I've been there the longest! Unbelievable. I ended up just taking one Apple Watch home with me because she couldn't figure out how to activate the other one. She gave us a free screen cleaner for our wait, which was nice but I would've preferred 4 hours of my life back. Also, since we got our own phone plan, we were told we would lose the promotions on our phones that saved us $1,100 so now we owe that for our phones. Another also, my bf went to go pick up his Apple watch (keep in mind we already paid for) and the same girl (Anna) who helped us a few days ago tried telling him we still owed tax on it- which she saw me pay for! That got squared away quickly because I'm sure it showed our payment in their system. What a surprise. I've always loved Verizon but this has put the worst taste in my mouth, eventually I'm going to get a new carrier when I'm healed from this trauma. read more

I cannot recommend this store to anyone. I came in this morning to upgrade my phone and see about a new plan. I was helped by a girl named Anna (that's what she said her name was). After I told her what I wanted she began clicking away on the computer. After about 7-10 minutes of her not saying a word to me, I asked what she was doing. She said she was looking up what offers I can get. Okay, no problem. She then ignores me again and begins clicking away on the computer. Several times she had to go the guy that was working with her and ask him something, she seemed to not know how to interact with a customer or what Verizon actually offered. I ended up walking out after over an HOUR of being in that store and not one time did Anna try to explain anything to me. I have had Verizon for years, but am now looking at other carriers that actually have good customer service! read more

I visited Verizon at 1265 Huntington Drive, Duarte, CA Tuesday. I had a problem with my phone not making outgoing calls also my battery was not lasting very long. I didn't get her name but a female employee looked at my phone and suggested I take it to some repair shop. Today I went to the same Verizon shop and was met by Aydeth. She suggested I could exchange or upgrade my phone (which I did). She was so professional and sweet to each customer while I was there. She was there by herself as it was lunch hour. She completed each sale efficiently keeping everyone happy. I hope Verizon shows their appreciation for their employees who give that extra customer service. read more

Customer service awful! I rushed to get there and got there 30 minutes before they closed. Only one employee working and they were on the phone on speaker and no other customer in the store. She sets the phone down, keeping the speaker on asking what she can help me with and told her about a new phone I just got and she said she couldn't help me because they close at 7. I was there today and I was serviced by Vanessa. She gave me the worst experience and costumer service at this store. I came to get a new iPhone 13 and she told me how much it would cost me after a trade in. After asking a lot of questions and paying my balance in order to get the new phone. We started the procedure, comes now she tells me towards the end that the phone comes in a bundle and I will pay $200 and some change in order to get the phone. I said that I don't needed a bundle, she responded by saying she could not give me a phone if I didn't buy the phone casing, a charger and some other items. I said to her that I didn't needed any of those items, she continue by saying she wouldn't give me a new phone then. I ask her how come you didn't tell me that at the beginning and she said you can order online and you'll get it by December 18, I asked again and again she responded me that I was welcome to do online. She started to speak to me in a condescending tone and said "well I just told you now" I asked her to stop her attitude and she continue in a childish manner and no respect. I opted out and I asked her for her managers number, she gave me the number adding this is a third party business as implying you won't get far with us and look for another place. THEY CALLED POLICE! I stop by to upgrade three phones in our family plan.WHAT A MISTAKE,. On the first phone, after one hour, the rep couldn't transfer the contacts and pictures to the new phone, on the second phone she disconnected the service before activating the new one. The third phone( my phone) she reset the phone and wiped all my emails, contacts, pictures and files before transferring them to the new phone. After three hours of wasting my time and paying $830 I left the store. The next day I found an old inactive phone that I had some of my info in it up to 2018. I took the phone to the store to see if they can transfer the information to the new phone. This time the store manager was there too, the rudest person with the lowest IQ you can imagine. She couldn't do the transfer so she hand it back to the employee, after an hour the info was transferred but not completely. On the same day my mom and my wife called me on the land line that there phones are not working. So I went back and request to cancel my order and return my $830 payment. I told the manager, how hard is it to click few pages and activate a phone, where she told my I can't question her ability and she has the right to "refuse service and kick me out", so I ask for the supervisor, she said she is the ultimate authority and no one is above her. Someone should have taught her when she is getting people's money, she is obligated to provide services. so I said I leave and solve my problem with Verizon. As I was walking out of the store she ran after me and try to provoke me to do or to say something and started filming me with her phone, but I was very come then she grabbed the store's phone and called 911 while filming me, UNBELIEVABLE. I stepped outside the store and called Verizon and explain the situation. I waited 45 minutes outside the store for Polic to explain what happened but no one showed up, I am sure the 911 dispatcher felt that she is lying and ignored her. I was upgrading my POS iPhone 5 (yes it was an old piece of s**t!) and because I didn't have room on my old phone to update the IOS, transferring all my pic,video, etc... was challenging. Needless to say Sergio - took on that challenge! He went above AND beyond! He figured out an alternative way of transferring all my data. I am a very happy girl and owe it all to Sergio. It took me 7 years to get a new phone and I'm happy that it is over and done with. I'll be using this phone for another 7 years. Hopefully Sergio is still with Verizon then! LOL. read more

I had a bad experience here, along with a good one. Edith, the store manager, is AWESOME and very professional. She helped me out with all of my questions and made sure I was taken care of. She was trying to help multiple customers at once and made sure everyone got the attention they deserved. What a nice person! Then there is another employee who tried charging me 70 dollars for a restocking fee when I didn't need to even pay for it! This person was so rude and brushing me off like I was an incompetent idiot. I am smart enough to read the contract I signed and know what the terms are. I bought an iPhone less than 24 hours and this person tried telling me it's a 70 dollar restocking fee, when that is not what my contract said! It's 50 for an iPhone! That's when Edith helped me out and told me I actually don't need to pay because I just bought it. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT go to this location. I'm not sure if Aydeth deliberately lied to make a sale or was misinformed and doesn't know how to do her job, but she lied to me and said that the iPhones that I bought were buy one get one free. When I got the bill the correct promotion that was going on was "buy one, get $750 towards another phone". Yes, this is still a good deal, but it was not the promotion that Aydeth told me. They also charge you $50 per line for the stores "services" & label the charge as "loyalty program". When we inquired about the charge Aydeth stated that it was something that everyone paid. When I later contacted corporate Verizon they said that this charge did not sound correct & that I should bring it up with the store. The store assured me this is a normal charge. I have never paid for a fee like this and I have been with Verizon for over 10 years. My advise: go somewhere else that knows what they are doing and can give you correct information. My first visit, was with Johnathon in December 2018, he went above and beyond to assist me with questions and service. On my second visit Andrew assisted me with questions regarding my bill, adding new service and comparing them plans.
