First of all, if you are still using ATT as a *phone carrier*, you deserve the 'service' you're gonna get. And part of that NOT-illustrious service is firmly ensconced in this store-front. I have NEVER been to a phone carrier's store that had attitudes sooo thick, you'd need a chainsaw to navigate 'em. Appalling! A family member was sent away TWICE, with the attendant, smug dismissive attitudes in evidence, being told her phone issue was a "Microsoft issue" and that she needed to call MS. Even if SO, having three different 'phone techs' REFUSING to even answer/assist with TECHNICAL questions (Heeelllloooo?!?!) was jaw-dropping. WHEEERE does ATT get their 'phone techs'?! The smirks, eye-rolls and apathy about their roles just added oodles and oodles of fun to this whole debacle. Moral of this sad, sad story: IF you have ATT, you ARE gonna get the absolute bottom of the barrel of in-store 'help'. I was approached by an AT&T sales representative while shopping for a new phone through StraightTalk. Since I needed a new phone, I figured what the heck. I'll see what he has to offer and we'll go from there. He told me that AT&T has a special where they are giving away a phone with any new service. He took my information and then when running it through the cash register, he made a call to his supervisor and was told that they are not giving new phones and that I would have to pay. I told him to forget it then and I would go ahead and buy the StraightTalk phone since I already had StraightTalk service and did like using them. He said ok, but if I ever do decide to go with AT&T, then to come back and we'll get you going. I bought my StraightTalk phone and left the store. I am now receiving bills from AT&T about a service I never got for a phone I never got and a phone number that I've never used or had. I can not reach a human who speaks English to explain this too. I am given phone numbers to automated numbers that have nothing to do with my situation. I receive threatening emails from AT&T billing with no way to respond back to them. They can certainly reach out to me, but I am not given a way to contact a human in any way. So AT&T is going to ruin my credit now for a bill they will not look into. I'm so =^%#*@+/&¢ mad!! Worst location ever, not only do they give access to ppl on your account to do as they please (only the main account holder has access) but they really don't know what they are doing. I have been here only a couple of times because literally each person we have encountered hasn't been trained properly. Our last incident was the worst. Went in to activate a phone with a number that was already on the plan. Tell me why they deactivated the main account holder line instead and then go to say they didn't only to be charged $5 to add a new SIM card because they deactivated it ‍ like really? You have one job. Then went in again today to activate the new phone only to be told the only way to get a new phone would be to purchase a new line and promotion. I said thank you and walked out. I called ATT and got the phone activated without a hitch. Be careful these ppl don't know what the heck they are doing. They have 1 make who apparently knows what he is doing and seem to call him for everything. Because they are so incompetent we go to the San Luis Obispo location where the actual ATT corporate store is located (ATT Paso Robles is privately owned). San Luis told us that they get all of Paso Robles customers due to their constant screw ups.. be careful going to the Paso Robles location. Without my consent (the primary account holder) went into my account and upgraded one of my lines to my mother in law and screwed her over on a promotion (English is her second language and she doesn't understand much). The service at this store is horrible. Sal helped and we took a phone as a trade and he DID NOT record anything down. When we try to get information we keep getting hung up on. Not just once but many times. They even refuse to give any names on who we are talking to. We can't even speak to a manager. We have no receipt for this and no email on this transaction. We need answers and there is no one who is willing to give us any. We keep getting hang ups from each store from Paso Robles AND the Atascadero store. Who can we ask for help now? Just got off the phone with a representative from this location who provided low quality customer service and knowledge about their inventory. I was happy when my call was answered and was told they could help me in 20 mins. Once I started asking questions about inventory the associate let me know that she did not know what they had in stock. I suppose that's semi understandable since I'm sure there is a large variety on rotation. I was asking about the iPhone 15 pro max. The associate said they didn't know if they had it and there was no way to find out unless she opened the safe, which she cannot do unless there is a guest in the store willing to purchase the phone. I kindly asked if she'd be willing to give me a call back the next time she opened the safe to let me know if she has it or not--because if they don't have the phone I'm looking for I will try again later or place an order. She said that she would call me back, if she had time...I then asked her if she was interested in selling me a phone today at all--and then she hung up. Looks like this AT&T location isn't too concerned about their potential customers or their sales--won't be buying a phone or starting services with this AT&T location. How could you not know your own inventory?? As if she wasn't sitting in front of a computer or tablet with all the info she needed to answer simple questions. Truly misleading! I went in to purchase new phone and was told I was eligible for a free upgrade and just had to pay tax. Assured me nothing else would be changed . My bill arrived and I have installments for the phone , insurance and another fee so I can upgrade in the future! Never discussed any of it! Shady at best. Hope he enjoys his little commission. Everyone was nice. However, the knowledge to do their job is lacking severely. I spent 2 hours trying to transfer my line and get a new phone they had in stock only to have to come back the next day. The next day another two hours with the same employee. At the end of the two hours I had to drive to San Luis Obispo, 30 mins away to get someone that knew what they were doing. While in SLO they corrected most of the mistakes the Paso Robles store made. Attempt to transfer my fiancés account to mine but could not. Gave the Paso store one more shot and once again they failed to do their job. Looks like we will be driving to SLO again. This is the first time I've had any issues with AT&T and it was bad. I went to this store in November "2020"-* I had the "2020 Experience" I'm never going back ! I was tended by a Hispanic Female. I needed 2 Iphones 64 GB, added to my ATT Unlimited "Starter" plan. 1 was a number transfer from straight talk easy transfer, no probs. The other from ATT number not currently on my account. The girl said we could get the phone and later get ATT to transfer the number within 30 days. So I get home go online to my account...both phones are 128 Gb, they are both on the "Elite" plan and have the added $15 a month insurance. OK , was that it? NO! I called ATT, they said the ATT number couldn't be transferred at all to that phone, and I would have to return it and later... after that number was transferred do an upgrade. I returned to the Store, returned the phone...the manager (HANS) REFUSED to waive a $55 return fee! even though his employee said I would be able to transfer a number. I recommend you stay away from this store and this manager, and beware of employees giving you all the add ons. Shady business ethics ! and Poor management at this store, shop ONLINE! The young woman that waited on us wore her mask the entire time. The heavyset male who appeared to be your supervisor did not have a mask on and did not have one around his neck. He was within 3 feet of us on numerous occasions. His refusal to keep our safety and mine is very disappointing! As we were finishing up our transaction two more people walked in - separate transactions - He still did not put on his mask. He just continue to bark orders at the conscientious young woman that was helping us. We are returning Friday to pick up our 12+. He needs to have a mask on! read more

Att has the worst customer service I have ever seen. They want to handle everything through their automated system. THAT DOES NOT WORK ATT. I have been transferred 6 times on one call and put on hold 4 times up to 20 minutes each time. I never knew if the rep was coming back. I was on hold and in a black hole. I just wanted a phone line installed. Not a big deal but to ATT my request sent me into a world of no return. I was so angry I thought I was going to have a stroke. Everybody I was transferred to was ATT Uverse. None of them could help with a basic phone line. I do not know how this company stays in business. They are a WRECKING BALL. Amazing experience here over the July 4th weekend. I believe the staff member's name was Jessamyn, or something like that, but she was kind, patient, helpful, quick, and amazing under pressure. At one point, she had to toggle three different customers herself, and she didn't even break a sweat or sigh or stop smiling. Can I just say that the customer service at this establishment is atrocious? I walked in and had 3 employees stare at me. A very unenthused woman behind the main computer began to (very reluctantly) "help" me with my very simple question. I was not shown plans, phones, or anything I asked about. As in, "Can you show me some of the iPhones?" and she said "We have x, y, and z" and didn't budge. I have been here twice and on both occasions I was made to feel like I was intruding on the service representative's time. She was rude, had an expression of boredom or annoyance on her face. The first visit she pretty much cut off my sentence and said that I had to call customer support and they weren't open anymore, I would have to call tomorrow. I left in disbelief with the horrible customer service, only making it worse to read her name tag- which read that she was the store manager! The second time, I started to cringe when I saw I would be helped by the same person. She was "helping" a customer when I walked in, or better yet just being rude to him and not being helpful at all. She even huffed and puffed when he was not understanding what she was trying to tell him, which was that he needed to go online or call customer support. When she finally got to us it was the same response- customer support. She was also charging her cellphone and her case said "I'm not always a BITCH just kidding go fuck yourself"- Who does that? If you're a store manager you should go above and beyond to give good service and show a little professionalism. I will never go to this location ever again! I went in this morning to activate a new iPhone 6plus. Jason greeted me immediately and was very polite. I was amazed at how knowledgeable he is and how fast he was able to help me. I purchased this phone through T-Mobile and it had to be added to my son's AT&T account. Jason was able to do it in no time without any problems. He also put the screen protector on and was very careful to eliminate bubbles. After all my stuff was transferred from my old phone to the new one, he turned me over to Cassy who was also very helpful and very nice. I have to say the customer service I received today was great and I am very happy to recommend these two employees by name. There was another young woman working also, who did not help me but seemed very cheerful and nice. Such a nice experience during a very busy time of year, it could've been so unpleasant if these employees weren't the top notch crew they are. AT&T.....are you listening? Give 'em a raise!
