Tanus was super personable and I appreciate his in-store help for which I'd give 5 stars, although I'm confused as to why I was instructed upon trading my old Galaxy to a Galaxy S23 in 3/2023 that it was a mandatory "trial" for 2 monthly add-ons: (1) "Protect Advantage" (showed up as $13.60 on my bill) (2) "Next Up" ($6 on my bill) Tanus told me that I had no choice but to keep these two features on as a trial, and then wait exactly 30 days whereupon I could cancel both of these and have no charge. When I called AT&T their initial answer was Next Up "absolutely can not be refunded." After I talked to the call center manager though at least he was willing to acknowledge that this is misleading. read more

When I purchased my phone, it was from one of those kiosks put up inside a Fred Meyer entrance. My mistake was trusting them. They gave me a brand new iPhone 13 Pro, a massive veterans discount, and told me that if anything were to have happened to my phone. They would send me a new one for free. Who in their right mind, would turned down that deal. So my charging port recently stopped working. No big deal, I will call down to At&t. At&t forwarded me to their insurance company (Asurion). The gentleman I spoke with told me that it would cost me $275 to replace, because a charging port is not something that can be repair. When I explained to him what I was told when I joined AT&T, he informed me that this is a reoccurring problem. Several customers have called telling them that this is what was promised to them when they joined AT&T. I immediately called back to AT&T's customer service line, they informed me that, although yes, this is a problem, those kiosks are not technically affiliated with AT&T. However, they do receive the same training from AT&T and they represent AT&T. And their kiosk table is covered with AT&T logos and business cards. So I disagreed with the representative I was talking to, and I told them that they are a representation of AT&T, and therefore AT&T has a responsibility to take these claims seriously. Not only did Asurion acknowledged this was an ongoing problem. But so did the rep when I called down to AT&T directly. I asked the AT&T representative to please be able to talk to someone above him. He refused. I asked him for a complaint form, he refused. So basically they hold no accountability for the people representing their company. They can tell you anything they want as long as the sale is made, they will hold no accountability. I asked if they would please just take my phone back and let me leave AT&T. He refused. I asked if there was anything he could do for me, and he said no. read more

Needed to upgrade phone and change plans (I had a very very old grandfathered plan). I was assisted promptly and the whole transaction took less than 30 minutes. Because the color I wanted for my iPhone wasn't in store, they ordered and shipped to me. A few days later I went back in to activate the service and voilà, everything works! read more

After the initial set up of my new phone, I inadvertently messed up a setting, went back to the store, and they fixed it with a smile. Went into store after speaking to customer service. They told me they called and reserved an iPhone for me to be picked up. Went into store at the address the customer service rep gave me. Which was this At&T store. Juan was working. After I gave him a run down of everything he said he never received a call then proceeded to not help whatsoever. He stated I needed to call back and figure it out. Didn't offer to look up anything or any type of customer service. Worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. read more

The customer service here is horrible! Granted, both employees are helping other customers, but there been no acknowledgement of us even waking into the store. We have been here for 19 minutes - still no "hi, we'll be with you in a bit." One associate is working, but the other is talking politics and about his life in the Middle East. I now know he has dual citizenship, does a lot of fund raising for refugees, is a fan of Bernie Sanders, and would like to move back to Iran - after he sells his 1000th phone, that is. read more

was just in this store again trying to get my daughter's phone issues fixed. They wouldn't even try to help fix it. They offered to sell us another $800 phone, although this one is only 11 month old. Asked to get the screen protector replaced, as we bought the lifetime protector product earlier this year. They don't do that anymore, since apparently they were bought by some new company. So, as soon as this contract is over we will be leaving AT&T. I recommend trying a different location - the kid in this store was only about the upset and didn't even try to trouble shoot. The new manager of this store is great. His name is Terril. He solved a problem I have been trying to rectify for 4 months in about 10 minutes. I was never going to come back to this store again because the old manager, Brady, scammed me and the customer service was horrible. I was actually going to change carriers after being with att for over 20 years due to the issues I was having with this location, however, with Terril there I will continue to go to this location and stay with att because Terril focuses on service first, which will lead to more sales for him and his team. Phones being broken and problems can bring in some pretty nasty customers and in my opinion it takes a person with amazing patience and a natural calmness to handle this type of job. Today my we came in with my boyfriends broken phone and a feud with warranty. Munta was very professional, calm and extremely patient. He conveyed his questions clearly, and really listened to each customer with their frustrations and complaints all the way through. I was extremely impressed, and lucky to have him help. This review is difficult based on the scale I have to rate with. As a company experience I want to give 2 stars, because meh, I have experienced better. By giving 4 stars, I'm saying I'm a fan of my visit and outcome and I'm not. However, with 5 stars, I say it's as good as it gets, and for some reason when thinking about how other AT&T visits have ever gone, EVER, it was great. I've never really had that thought process with a review before, but there it is. So. I'm going to stick with 3 stars, A-Ok My boyfriend and I went to another location closer to our home and it was suggested we see if the service center could help us. We had another visit near the neighborhood and decided at 4:50 on a Wednesday afternoon, why not. I can't believe how fast we got there from Beaverton, and finding the location was a breeze. We zipped in and to the left was what looked like the retail store, to the right was damages and service. We went to the right and walked into a small lobby with a nice sofa, chairs and table. A flatscreen hangs with news and commercials filling the air. Looks updated. Hip even. We were greeted immediately by a beard eyeglasses dude and sat down. It was just him finishing up with a guest. Right as the customer left and my guy started telling dude about his son's phone not working, another guy comes in the office space with dude. The news caught my attention and I left the dealings of cellular devices to them. When I was reintroduced to present moment, I saw that my boyfriend was now dealing with Sergio. Sergio was quick, I mean QUICK to say, "Oh there's a crack" before my guy could finish telling him the protector was cracked. I got up from my chair at this point, kinda defensive bc his tone was ... idk... he was just quick y'all. Anyways, S'dawg asked him to remove the cover, and man, AT&T better be taking care of this man, because again within what seemed like miliseconds he found a small, and I mean SMALL-ASS crack, on the top right corner where the screen meets the edge. We had to move the phone all around and FIND it.It took a moment. It was a trip. So, you all know what that means. BAM. Nothing we can do with replacement now. The options were, with no insurance, new screen for $200 or new phone for $Retail O.o This is where I just get pissed about being a slave to these damn phones. It's like I'm already paying you or have paid, $500+ DOLLARS for this device and even with insurance, I mean, I've NEVER had just a $50 experience. There is ALWAYS something they find to say, to send me "upstairs to the kiosk" who does it for x or for them to send mine "in" and I have to wait. How does that help me? My family? My business? My life? Nope. No. Just like all insurance. Just like all tlhe .... I digress. So. I made my frustrations with stuff like this known and asked them if it really was just no way to do anything, a refurbished, a anything ... This is where I feel a company just sucks in taking care of it's customers. I mean. Think about it, the phone in question is one of 6 in this family, and less than 7 months old. No late payments. No weird, questionable history with AT&T, we want to add another line, there's more business for them ... but they can't "do anything" for us. I've been a member since LITERALLY DAY ONE of Cingular and AT&T. My family's business in *whispers* California, was one of the first to use cellular devices in the Southern California territory. Yeah. The business owner(s) family were next. Again, I digress. (follow my other reviews in the area to maybe see why I'm so scattered on my day off! ;) ) I just wish it felt like my hard work to have these devices, felt like it was worth it. Multiply this feeling by most major corporations and things I deal with as a lower middle class American just trying to save for my future and make it through the month, and fuck. Yeah. No wonder we want a revolution! So. Back to my experience at the actual store. I want to give 5 stars because there was no wait, Sergio was quick to diagnosis the problem and get us on our way. However, again, we had no resolve and felt shittier about out options. I need AT&T to see this. I need them to know. It's just not ok to not offer something more. We walked out and sat in the car and talked for a few minutes. Then Sergio, came out to the car, knocked on the door and we rolled down the window and he asked for the associates name who referred us (HA, GUY SAID THEY'D DO THAT!) and we said we didn't remember, then he asked what location. It took a minute but he figured it out, we agreed, he thanked us and we left. idk, it was not scary, but ... just weird. Went in here to upgrade my phone- got a "free iPad" and the whole thing ended up being a nightmare. Many things were not told to me- for example the iPad comes with a phone number for that cost alone was $40. When I went in after finding all these things out- I spoke to the manager- he ended up yelling at me, swearing when I I asked to switch companies and have the sudden massive increase in my bill explained. This experience in dealing with him was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I strongly recommend going elsewhere, I was told there was a high turnover rate at the store- and I can see why. The staff will add on numerous charges without telling you. read more

My mom is 82 y/o. Her Samsung III completely died. We attempted to "upgrade her to a flip phone as she was complaining that the Samsung III was not working for her. Low and behold the Flip phone we purchased looked good to us but we were not the users! My mom could not figure it out and asked to have it changed as it was not serving her at all. Stores are closed and not open during " Covid." Several phonecalls and 2 days later we needed to go to a store to resolve an exchange. We arrived at this store at 2:15 pm and there was a sign on the door explaining to call for curbside assistance. When we finally received a response we were asked to return at 3:30 pm as the person was going on break. We returned at 3:30 pm as instructed and called the number on the door again and were told that the person would be back at 3:51 pm. As we waited in the car, a second customer arrived. They also waited in the car. Once the third person arrived and stood in front of the door, the second customer also went to the door. A fourth arrived and decided to leave. The attendant arrived at 4:00 pm. We were bypassed by the second customers claiming they had an appointment. Once the they left, the third customer was asked in by the attendant and we expressed that we were there first and were ignored by both the attendant and the customer. Once the attendant asked us in, he apolijized for the confusion and explained that we would have to go to the main store in Beaverton for an exchange. These are trying times. The total diregard by the customers is not my concern. My mom is still without a telephone and it is our only mode of communication. We have been customeers with AT&T over 10 years. The service received at this store today was totally inexcusable with so many promisses during this time to keep us connected. A total waste of time and energy. read more

I got an alert on the Lookout app in my Samsung phone that it had been rooted and was at risk of security issues. Austin immediately knew what to do (he used a root checker app) and after a few minutes of testing said he was certain it was a false positive. I later learned this had happened to other Lookout users. I was very impressed with Austin's technical skills and customer service. read more

As I had no luck with the store, I reached out to AT&T about cancelling my service. At that time, I was redirected to a person that attempts to sway you from leaving AT&T. The person was nice, but her hands were tied and her tools were limited. As stated before, I had an issue with AT&T not honoring a Buy-One-Get-One (BOGO) free offer. In that offer, the customer pays for two phones and then AT&T credits your account after a few months. They are supposed to review your purchase during that time (two to six months) and then dole out your savings a little bit at a time for whatever amount was charged towards that supposedly free phone. I laughed when the sales person offered up the BOGO promotion as an incentive for me to stay with AT&T. I can look past the fact that the BOGO promotion is open to any and all who want to attempt it and that it is not an extra incentive for me to stay. I did think it was quite audacious to be offered another BOGO after telling her that I am leaving AT&T because of a BOGO that they did not honor. In other words, her incentive for me to stay was to offer for me to pay for more phones in the hope that they may come through on a promotion that they have just proven is difficult for them to process. To add an added bit of humor, the sales person said that even if I met all of the rules of he BOGO today, that they could not put into writing any kind of guarantee that the BOGO purchase would be successful. Written confirmation after purchase is not an option for anyone. AT&T cannot, and will not, put into writing that a purchases qualifies for a BOGO promotion. They will give you a written copy of the rules, but not a confirmation that they processed an order accordingly. read more

Went in to get help with fixing my screen protector the young girl named Yosemite or something like that there was absolutely no help, i felt like I was pushed out of the store and she just wanted me to leave so she could go back to playing games on her phone. She told me how I can't get my screen protector because I didn't register it. they didn't tell me that I had to register it when I originally got it from them. I previously have had much better help from AT&T customer service reps. So I called in to AT&T's customer service the lady on the phone was very helpful and asked me what brand the screen protector was the lady in the store didn't even look at my screen protector but just said it was a certain brand. I thought it was weird that she just magically new without looking at my phone. So did the rep on the phone. The lady on the phone referred me to multiple numbers to get help so I could get my problem solved while the girl in the store did absolutely nothing but make me feel uncomfortable and like she didn't want to deal with me. This location was on my way home and I've never visited it before. I had a few simple questions. I was not greeted and just stood there trying to make eye contact to try to figure out who the representatives were. I stood for a while until someone in loose baggy jeans and a plain tshirt told me to sit down. I was caught off guard. At other locations I at least got a hello right when I walked in. Even if I had a to wait a little while, a greeting to welcome me and let me know what to expect would have been nice. I sat for a moment but ended up leaving because I felt so uncomfortable. Maybe their level of service is great and once you talk to a representative it ends up being a good experience. But it was such an odd experience not to even be greeted. Another worker who was there also looked at me a few times and I couldn't tell if she worked there either until she picked up an employee iPad. Both were dealing with two other customers but besides me, the place was not busy at all. Overall just a very unpleasant experience. read more
