Absolutely disappointed with our experience at this AT&T store. We worked with Hugo, who promised us $250 if we paid for the taxes, which we did. What he didn't mention was that those accessories would be billed to us monthly -- not free at all. We trusted what was said during the transaction, only to find out later that our bill was much higher than expected, with charges we never agreed to. We were quoted $250, but ended up paying $405. It feels deceptive and like we were taken advantage of. Once our phones are paid off, we're 100% done with AT&T. Be very careful and triple-check your bill -- especially if you're offered "free" accessories or add-ons. Lesson learned. read more

If I was able to give less stars, I would. I have been holding off giving this review, hoping that our issue would be resolved but here we are in the new year and we are still in the same place as we were back in September when we made the decision to walk into this store and switch from Verizon to AT&T, which was a huge mistake. I wish I would've taken time to read reviews ahead of time and if I had, I would've stayed clear of making the switch. We have not had nothing but problems with our bill since September we've gone back-and-forth over a dozen times between the store and customer support online to which I have shuffled back-and-forth and a solution is never found. At one point, customer service charged us for a phone that the store returned that they said that they never received. 3 months later, we are still disputing. I had a woman from customer service also remove our trade-ins, which is technically theft because those were our Verizon phones that we turned into them from for credits for new phones. Thankfully, I kept every single piece of paperwork and receipt and was able to prove otherwise. My suggestion, don't go to the store.. don't switch to AT&T their customer service is horrific and if you do you better make sure that you keep every piece of paperwork and transactions available. I am the least confrontational person but I have never felt so disrespected. The manager and rep Tristan will lie directly to your face. After back and forth between the rep, 611, and loyalty, I was finally able to get my issue resolved with zero help from the store. I was lied to, made out to seem like I was being ridiculous, when I've been paying for a number I was told would not be charged for and was told that it was not an active account on numerous occasions. They even lied about the rep's name after I called him out on what he said to me when his manager wasn't around! Employee was playing a game on his phone and couldn't take the time to stop playing while he was talking to us. I have been with AT&T for over 25 years. I had them since they were called Cingular Wireless. The service in Queen Creek is so bad I'm just waiting out my contract now and switching to Verizon. I use my phone for my diabetes and AT&T just can't satisfy my expectations any more. I even talked with specialist and spent long wasted hours on the phone. Such a waste. So disappointing. Terrible location for ATT. They just need to shut the store down as there's no sufficient staffing. Manager seemed inept, because every question he asked he had to reach out to someone. I got the Direct TV from them, 7 day trial and it's terrible. The manager told me I could return the pods and remotes back to the store. When I went there they gave me a 661 number and organize to have it shipped. Now it's my problem and another step I need to take. I can guarantee when I call direct tv under my 7 day regret they going to tell me to pound sand because I'm outside of the seven days. Terrible place of business. THE MANAGER NATE LIED RIGHT TO MY FACE WITH OTHER CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE! Our bill is supposed to be $242.08/month. Almost 2 yrs later it's never been corrected. We're paying over $575/month. I've called the 611 At&t number 15 - 20 times. I decided to go back to this location since it's where we set up our business plan. I explained to Nate what was going on & showed him all of the notes I had taken prior to starting service with At&t. He looked at our account & said, "I can save you some money." He explained we need to remove the coverage on the apple watches, & told me he could cancel a phone. I let him know the $242 monthly bill we were promised included everything he was looking at so I don't want him to remove anything. Then he said, "I can't help you & told me to call 611." I told him I've called 611 a bunch of times & haven't gotten anywhere. Then I asked him, "Have you called 611?" He said, "Yes." Then I said, "Have you gotten anywhere with them?" He replied, "No, but you need to call them." I told him, "I'm not going home to call 611 & waste my time so since I'm here why don't we call them together?" He said, "No." Then I told him my At&t sales rep was Tyren & asked if he knew him. He said, "Yes I know Tyren but I'm not sure if he still works for our company." I said, "I have his number, I'll call & find out if he does." I ended up getting his voicemail so I hung up. Within seconds of hanging up I happened to glance over to my left & lo & behold guess who's standing there in his At&t uniform - Tyren! I was totally shocked & couldn't believe it. I said, "How are you doing Tyren?" He acknowledged me & then went into their back office. I turned to Nate & said, "Are you kidding me, you just lied to me! I just asked you if you knew Tyren & you told me that you did but you didn't know if he still worked for your company & he's one of your employees." Nate said, "You're getting passive aggressive, you need to leave the store." I said, "I'm not getting passive aggressive, you just lied to me." Then he said, "leave my store." I picked up my bag & water bottle & walked out of the store. I was furious, I couldn't believe what just happened. I decided to call the police to ask for some guidance. They dispatched an officer. The officer called me & said they wouldn't be coming out since it's a civil matter. He told me to go back into the store & ask for Nate's manager's info. I walked back in & Nate told me, "leave the store." I told him, "a police officer told me to come back in." He said, "leave the store." I pointed my finger at him and said, "You're going to get fired" & walked out. I called At&t at STV. He told me this location is independently owned. As we were ending our call I noticed a police officer had pulled up & I thought, awesome. The officer asked what was going on. Then another officer pulled up & came to the other side of my truck. The officer said they received a call from Nate. He told me to wait there while he went inside. Then he told me Nate doesn't want me back in their store for 2 years & if I do I'll be arrested. The only reason I went back the second time was because the officer I spoke with on the phone told me to. I've literally been on an At&t hamster wheel the past 2 yrs & I've gotten nowhere! We're literally being overcharged hundreds of dollars every single month with no end in sight. I've never been asked to leave a store or anywhere for that matter my entire life. I have no idea why Nate wouldn't have asked Tyren to assist us once I mentioned Tyren's name? Horrible customer service today, stopped by this location to inquire about a trade in of an older Samsung phone and switch service. We were the only customers in the store yet the associate couldn't be less interested in helping us. We asked about a trade in for our old S9 phone and we're told there is no trade in for that model. Regret not getting his name so I could give him the recognition he deserves. We walked out in disgust over the poor service and went to the Queen Creek location where we were welcomed by David, completely different experience. David explained all of the S23 options, the various data plans and even found our S9 was eligible for an $800 trade in. He made sure we fully understood the trade in process to. read more

DO NOT ATTEND THIS LOCATION!!!!! Fraudulent issues are occurring within their employees. I completed an upgrade in October only to realize that it stated I had also purchased airpods which I had not. The employee DAQUAN is who helped me and committed this fraud. I have attempted to follow up with the general manager REGGIE, who is inept and unable to provide any source of resolution to my issue. When I requested information to speak to his District Manager he was not willing to provide me that information or his franchise contact number. Trying to upgrade our phones felt like trying to buy a used car from a sleezy salesman! This all started with a phone call to the store earlier in the day and the rep I spoke to said I can get a better deal by going into the store (vs. the att.com website) as "my presence is a negotiating tool" as I was trying to get the $30 per line upgrade fee waived. When we get to the store, the rep I talked to on the phone earlier in the day was the same one who helped us in the store. I explained that my wife and I know exactly what we want (two 12 Pro Max's, one is 128gb and the other 256gb) and also came prepared (phones already backed up to the cloud, ready to trade them on site). There was never any question as to what we were trying to accomplish. And here is where things go south! During my conversation with the rep, he starts by saying that he remembers the conversation we had earlier in the day about "my presence being a negotiating tool," but said he now can't waive the upgrade fees and passed the buck, referring me to 611 to hash it out with customer service...oh, it gets worse... When I tell the rep which phones we want, he goes to the back room and is gone for well over 10 mins. When he comes out, he brings out the phones and shows me his tablet with some really high figures in the neighborhood of $220 a month. We currently only pay $140 a month (including taxes and fees) for both phones...once we trade in both our phones ($700 credit for each iPhone, it takes the price for a 128gb 12 pro max from $1099 to $399 and the 256gb 12 pro max from $1199 to $499). We would be financing $898 between both phones (since we would be paying tax in store)...so, $898 divided by the 30 month agreement is $29.93 a month, plus our $140 a month normal bill equals $169.93...a far cry from $220 a month! When I questioned the numbers, the rep said that he was including a watch. I told him that a watch was NEVER even part of the equation and don't know where the idea of a watch even came from. He also made reference to switching us switching to a better plan than that we are currently on, but we were already on that plan he was talking about, so I don't know what shady stunt he was trying to pull there...oh, and it still gets worse... The rep once again goes to the back room and is once again gone for several more minutes. When he comes out this time, he brings the phones back out and shows me his tablet and I noticed the figures are still high. Upon reviewing the figures, I noticed this time he added on a fee of $5 PER month, PER line for something called the "NextUp" program that affords me the "privilege" of upgrading our phones early. Once again, something we never asked for or even heard of for that matter...but wait, there's more... The rep once again returned to the back room where he said he was going to talk to his Manager. After several more minutes, he came back out of the back room (this time without the phones in hand) and said he can't sell us the phones because the "serial numbers aren't recognized in the system." When I called BS on that and told him that I would wait until his Manager figures it out, he once again went to the back room and actually came out a little quicker this time (still no phones in hand), but now saying that neither him or his Manager can sell us the phones because "the system has gone down." When I told the rep that I was done dealing with him and that I wanted to talk with his Manager (this mysterious wizard in the back room pulling the strings), the rep once again went to the back room and quickly came back out and said that his Manager was on a phone call. I threw in the towel at this point...they obviously don't want our business. I found it troubling that a seemingly simple transaction turned out the way it did and we ended up leaving without getting new phones. Trying to wrap my head around what just happened, I did some searching and the best that I was able to come up with is that the sales reps and/or managers and/or the store as a whole probably has quotas to meet and someone like us who is not only well informed, but just wants to do a straight sale is messing up their ratios...seems like they would rather not make a sale than to have a sale with no add-ons. I don't appreciate being lied to AND the slight of hand at this store is awful and concerning. I am currently looking into seeing if these guys violated any consumer protection laws or federal regulations. Hopefully this review will save someone from being their next sucker. read more

If I could give this location zero stars I would. Back in October my wife and I went in to see about getting new phones. We were met Daquan and he started out showing us what it would cost us for 2 new iPhone 15 pros. Wasn't that much more, so cool let's do it! Then he starts to tell us about a promotion they are running where if we got phones there was a BOGO on watches and somehow he showed us that it was actually going to be cheaper to do that! So we though shoot get watches AND phones for about the same amount we are paying now? Absolute no brainer! Where do we sign?! We get the first bill and he warned us that it would be higher for the first billing cycle. Fine no worries, it was for the trade in to start kicking in. The next bill comes and it's still $100/months higher than we were sold. So we go into the store and spoke with Amara. She then told us that Daquan was fired because he was making a lot of mistakes. Okay I understand, let's fix it but it's AT&T's problem, not mine. I didn't sell it to myself. When asked how she is going to fix it she said she'd have to remove things that Daquan said were included in the price that he gave us. I ask her to escalate it higher and to have her manager call me to discuss it. Nothing from her manager. Nothing from her until I reach back out a week after asking to have her manager call me. The best part of it all is I have proof of the price we were sold at for just the phone and then with the watches. See attached. It's telling of a company to not own their mistakes. This is THEIR mistake yet they will try to force consumers to pick up the cost different. This is not good business practice and absolutely unacceptable. read more

I went in to upgrade my Samsung phone and was "sold" a promo which included a watch, case and screen protector. Supposedly for less than my current plan. When AT&T sent me the plan. It was going to be substantially more and I was also charged for an Iphone15 case and I do not even have an IPhone! They did refund for the other accessories plus a 55.00 restocking fee. No refund for Iphone case because I didn't have and never received. So frustrated now! Guess the salesperson got his new Iphone case on me. read more

I went into the store with my dad and the kid that helped us already had his mind made up that my dads phone was too old to transfer the data over and we would have to wait 24-48 hrs to try again. That was weird to us as my mom has the same phone and we were able to transfer her phone earlier that day. He wasn't wanting to listen to anything else, his mind was made up. He didn't even take the phone and try to make anything happen with it. My dad says "looks like he doesn't know anything about this" and the kid says "I know more than you". I say "well that is terrible customer service" and he says "have a nice day." We walked out but I decided to go back in and ask him for his name. He says "I'm not giving you my name", I asked another employee that was right there what his name was and he says "oh I cannot give out employees information". I left and went to the best AT&T store ever at the San tan mall, which is where I usually go, and they helped us with no problems getting my dad's phone transferred. Buyer beware! The staff at this location is completely incompetent. I switched to AT&T ONLY because the app allows me to suspend service on account devices I manage. I should have known when I went in to switch and heard three customers coming in with complaints that I should have ran! I spent four hours in this store just to buy one phone (we brought two devices over). Where shall I begin? From account management issues to device issues to blatant lies from the staff - it's been series after series of issues in only three short months. The staff completely tells lies to your face about fees, phone services, upgrades and everything else in between. When you call customer service they say, "go to the store." I've been in to the store four times in three months over issues and repeatedly am told one thing by the staff and the complete opposite by AT&T customer service. Reggie the manager is a scammer, liar and horrible person. He told me my phone was eligible for a free trade in and I went to trade my phone in and he lied. He told me my phone was available for a trade it with no additional charges. The new phone gets delivered and I bring in the old phone to trade in and then he tells it's not eligible and I'm going to have to pay. $1,000+ mistake he made and he never apologized once. The money is coming out of my pocket not his. He was rude and said horrible unprofessional things. The worst experience I have ever had. He took advantage of me and is making me pay for his mistakes. ATT customer service representatives are liars. I had fraudulent charges on my account. I filed a claim. I was told that my service would remain active during the investigation. My service was suspended about every other day. I had restoration charges added. There was no investigation. I was forced to pay all fees When I requested a refund of the money spent on the restoration fees and the fraudulent charges, I was told it would be refunded to me in 5-7 days. That did not happen. Instead a credit was placed on my account. This time I called instead of chatting with a representative. Again I am to wait another 7 days to see if I will get MY money returned to me. I hate AT&T. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! In April of 2020 my Husband and I traded in our PAID off iphone X and iphone 11 PRO and swapped from Verizon to AT & T. Since then we have been calling AT & T for our trade in credits and they keep saying they haven't gotten them or they are processing. FINALLY today we spent over 2 hours on the phone with someone when we got a credit for a iphone 7 plus! Excuse me .. A WHAT?! We had to spend countless hours on the phone to figure this out. We called our old phone company (Verizon) to get the IMEI numbers for our old (again PAID OFF) phones. Turns out - they are active and in use and never made it to the at AT & T trade in center. So, our phones were never sent in and instead some crappy iphone 7's made it's way to the warehouse?! You are kidding me! THEY STOLE OUR PHONES! I have my receipt, date and name of the person who did this. I will be taking action and will be calling the Office of President as soon as I can. I don't care if this am authorized dealer or not - if you wear the AT & T logo your customer should TRUST you. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! I see other people have mentioned they have had this issue. If I had purchased my Samsung phone from a different provider I wouldn't be writing this review right now. 1st, AT&T has had my trade in for almost 2 months and still hasn't completed the process. After waiting about an hour to chat with an agent today I was told it would be at least another month until it was completed and then another 1 to 3 months to get credit. She called that "timely". When I told her that was a joke she just ended the chat. 2nd, AT&T's 5G service is barely better than 4G. My neighbor got 5G from a different provider last month and the difference is amazing. 3rd, this is my first Samsung phone in awhile and it's just OK. The resident apps leave a lot to be desired. I'll try something different next time. I didn't buy this phone in-store but from one of the store's outside sales reps who lied to me about several things: No activation fee; timeline for the trade-in to be credited; availability of 5G in my area; quality of 5G service when I am able to access it. Bottom line, I have nothing good to say about AT&T and the Samsung 5G phones they're pushing are nothing special considering the price. read more

Undoubtedly the worst experience I have had with AT&T in 10+ years. Went in, found out they have had me on the wrong plan for the last year costing me an extra $60 a month. Upgraded me to new plan and said it comes with a tablet and watch for same price I would be paying. This was all a lie also. Had I been on the right plan with a few phone upgrades like I asked for, I would have been at $150 a month. When I left there I was at $287 a month. They tried to manipulate the bill to $210 a month telling me thats the same I was going to pay. Once I called actuall AT&T I found out the plan they put me on doesnt include a tablet or phone and that those were upsells at 250%. Finally my bill was fixed paritally. I am back to $175 but should be at $150. Dealt with two managers at this location that didnt want to, or couldnt fix the mess they made. The regional manager was equally unhelpful. On Sunday, October 8,2017 approximately 25 minutes before the store was to close, my wife and I experienced the worst customer service ever by AT&T. As we entered the store we were greeted by Mike yelling across the store "can we help you" in a rushed tone. My wife said she was looking for the iPhone 10 display . They had already started taking down the display units but the young lady searched the display box and found one so she could see some of the new features. After 2 minutes into looking at the phone, Mike make eye contact with the other employee and then asked my wife " is there anything we can help you with because we are closing?". My wife placed the phone on the counter, he snatched the phone and threw it into the box and walked away. Keep in mind AT&T is not closed yet. We are current AT&T customers and my wife wanted to upgrade her phone. We went to this location because it's close to our house. I will never recommend this location to any of my friends or colleagues. I'm a business owner and I would never treat my clients like crap because I want to leave work early. The sign on the door said this location closes at 6pm. I'm not sure if your regular closing process means to breakdown your equipment early or what. I would recommend that Mike not have any contact with your customers because you will continue to get bad reviews like this one. read more

After visiting an AT&T store on Gilbert before this, I was told that this location had the phone I was looking for and I could stop by at this location to get an upgrade. We explain the situation to this younger man when we walk in and he proceeds to act like he wants to help us out. After looking into our account and my upgrade he says my phone isn't eligible for trade in. I begin to ask questions about the fact that I just was at another location and they offered me $800 in credit for my phone once I traded it in. I tell who I'm with we are going to leave since this was not the deal we were offered at a different AT&T. He then figures out why we were offered so much credit and acts so dumb as if WE had made it confusing for him when we had explain everything we wanted and more. Anyways thought it couldn't get worse but this man brings out my phone, airpods and an apple watch, obviously trying to upsell us since he gets commission. We ask about how much the airpods cost since he hands us the phone and says you guys are gonna get this guy with it (pointing to the airpods), when we ask how much the airpods are he says "just $20 since you guys are apart of our preferred customer program". So we are thinking wow we got a great deal. Well as we sign the paperwork for the phone plan we both notice a $250 financing option he's having us sign and when we ask he says it's for the airpods. When we asked why he did that he told us they were just $20 today but we had to finance the rest and said he thought he made that very clear. This man was a huge dick in the way he spoke and carried himself. Luckily we knew more then phones about him and basically helped him do the whole sale. Everyone in this store was young and uninformed of much information on phones, different plans and telling customers the truth about their options. The location on Gilbert rd is 1000x better and honestly any location is likely better then this.
