I was at the store with my husband to upgrade his phone. A man (Jose) came in and was being helped by the "manager" named Forrest (Jose had lost his phone and bought a new one at Apple but now needed his phone number assigned to the new phone). Forrest couldn't resolve the issue and then disappeared. The woman helping us (Fernanda), was gracious in asking the man if she could assist (Fernanda is the only person there who understands customer service!). She began to problem-solve. But then Forrest kept interrupting trying to antagonize Jose. Jose calmly explained that Fernanda was helping him. Well it turns out that when Forrest had disappeared, he called the police on Jose. For what? For having a passport? Fernanda, my husband and I were shocked and appalled. We couldn't understand why Forrest would call the police - except perhaps because Jose was Colombian per his passport. Jose did absolutely nothing. Jose was calm, patient, and seeking help from his phone company. Jose was removed from the store and without his passport. When I asked to complain, the store manager responded with aggressive bravado that he was the manager and that was it. I asked for who he reports to and he shrugged. If this is how customers are treated when seeking help, this is a sad state of affairs for AT&T. Fernanda did text a former regional person who was in the back room training people to come and assist our concerns; however, we quickly realized where Forrest learned his service manners because Elias was equally rude and stated "I believe my employee over what you and your husband have to share." I said talk to your employee right here, referencing Fernanda. His response "No, I'm good." So the moral of this story is that if you have a difficult problem, avoid Forrest at this store because he'll call the police on you!! WOW! AND I did give my info requesting a call from whomever oversees Forrest but my guess is that Elias threw my info away. They can't seem to hire more than two employees to handle a store full of customers! They're great at greeting you, but the wait is 45-50 min just to be seen by someone. Actually, that's an estimate. This review is for Jayson. I took my 80 year old mom there today to get her very first smart phone hooked up to a service plan. I know...getting mom into the 21st century is tough. Mom already purchased an iPhone from the Apple store and we had already researched the AT&T service options and had selected a plan. Jayson gets five stars for his patience, politeness and perseverance. AT&T gets two stars for the lack of training they provide their employees. What should have been an easy process ended up very convoluted. It took literally three hours from start to finish including my mom going home to get the paperwork for the Boeing retiree discount which upon return was refused as she didn't sign up for multiple phone lines. No excuse for Jayson not knowing this other than lack of training because he seemed like a pretty smart guy. They sent my 86 year old dad's phone into outer darkness because instead of adding my mom as an authorized user, they deleted my dad completely. The whole thing was a bit of a shit show. But as I said, Jayson was wonderful and did his best with the tools he was given. read more

I am waiting, waiting, waiting for our tech/salesman to finish setting up my old iPhone to sync with my husband's old Samsung. Maybe if he weren't so busy watching Batman on the TV it would go a little faster. While he was syncing my old phone to my new phone I had to call his attention to the fact that it had finished loading that section and needed his attention back to the task at hand. I had an issue and immediately went to online customer support to solve the problem. They were extremely great but the issue needed to be handled in the store. The customer support representative told me how much I would be getting back from the trade-in process. I asked if there were any additional things I needed when I went in, he said no. I came into this store just as they opened so there was no wait. A gentleman named Austin assisted me. I did need something else and I did not have it. However, he confirmed how much the trade-in was with the same amount as online support. Great, brb. I returned the same day, when I walked in, no one acknowledged me. I stood there for more than 5 minutes...waiting for someone to even make freaking eye contact with me. There were 3 staff members helping other customers. They did not even give me a "hello, we'll be right with you." So first off- take a tip from Apple and have better customer support!!!! I LOVE WHEN I FEEL LIKE I AM BOTHERING YOU TO DO YOUR JOB- said absolutely no one ever. I feel for the guy that there's only 1 worker but still it seemed he was trying so hard to be inefficient. I tried upgrading to the new iPhone 14 but he said nope can't help you since my dad wasn't in the store since he is the main provider for the plan. Never asked for identification or any other form of verification. I'm in Detroit, Michigan and I travel to Washington state to buy ear buds. When my mother and I went into AT&T to upgrade her phone last October, the sales rep said that iPhone 12 Minis were half off, so we upgraded her phone to the IPhone 12 Mini. The paperwork was finalized and it showed 36 months of full price. I asked about the half price and he said it would take 2-3 billing cycles to kick in. Starting in January, then again in February and March, I would ask about the half price and why am I still paying full-price? Turns out the plan I was on was not eligible. I asked them to adjust the bill to make it right, since that's what the sales rep promised. They said there was nothing they could do to fix it. I was swindled out of $315. Don't trust them! They will do anything for a sale, even lie and cheat. read more

I am so done with this stupid company! So about a year ago I got kind of pressured into helping a friend out and I put a additional phone line on my account and that ended up biting me in the butt and I've been stuck paying for two phones when I only need one. Now that my iPhone that I use daily is paid off I wanted to drop one of the lines and keep one makes sense right.? The problem is they are trying to tell me that I can't do that because that is the original phone line which I would like to keep that number if I could but they're saying I have to pay the entire amount of the remaining for the phone that I don't use and don't even have any more. So essentially they're still stealing from me and I've had to call them every single month I have the line suspended that even though every single time they told me it will go automatically off of my bill next month it's absolutely ridiculous and not ok! He greeted me the moment I walked in the store and assisted me efficiently and quickly. I was able to have all content from my old iPhone transferred to the new one in under 10 minutes! he answered all my questions, was super knowledgeable, and got me setup in no time- I really liked this store and experience. I noticed all the workers were friendly with each other which created a positive and warm environment, and I never felt pressured to buy a product although they did offer and show me the latest gear. My phone service is Worse after visiting this location. My phone is stuck on 4G and not connecting to LTE. I've been stuck on the phone with AT&T customer Service for over 2 hours and issue still not resolved. Grr. Next this store changed my cell phone plan without getting my signature; I'm stuck in a plan with slower cell phone data; and AT&T customer service can not revert me back to my old plan with faster cell phone data. I'm 66 yrs old and I'm always a happy person... but this guy (jay) made me feel so bad that I started crying (wondering why?) then he said leave his store or he will call police to escort me out of his store... This place is always under staffed. I have been waiting for more than 30 mins in the store and there was only 1 person in front of me in the line the whole time. In other word, the line does not move at all. Here we are having 13 groups of customers and only 3 to 4 staffs helping. I am really about to leave the store. Don't come to this store if you have better choice in your area. This is not a only time experience but multiple situations I will update my review if customer service is significantly bad or excellent. Left AT&T a couple years ago due to their lack of reasonably priced international plans. Recently heard a rumor they have an option now. Stopped by this AT&T store to inquire and see if we may want to return. Based on the extremely poor customer service we have changed our minds on this. It wasn't that busy in this store but after 20 minutes of standing around still had not even been acknowledged by a single employee including the simple act of eye contact. Go to the company store which is better staffed and normally much bigger. I got my phone stolen and went in to get a new phone. I ended up having to pay for an extra line, $70+ extra a month, until I figured out what they had scammed me for. The last thing on my mind was the salesman giving me a second line. When I complained, the manager was very dismissive and the guy I dealt with just said I was in a hurry. It would seem if someone is in a hurry they would make doubly sure that the person know what the contract was rather than just speaking fast and not making the fine print obvious. He saw someone who was in a bit of a rush and gave me something I never considered looking for since it was pretty obvious I did not want a second line. Rather than trying to make it right the manager tried to "save" me money by "selling" me AT&T cable, and some other services which I do not want at all. I found it insulting. We had multiple visits to this particular store to activate a new line and every time we were promptly greeted and helped with no wait time and this was at various hours of the day both on a weekend and weekday. The items they have are typical for all ATT stores. Store is clean and open. The staff however varies in amount of knowledge in changing services and the first of the visits this week there was difficulty with getting the proper SIM size and service started. The subsequent two visits this week was to fix the SIM issue and I had one of the female managers who was knowledgeable and friendly enough. ATT itself as the company and service has been more difficult to navigate and I've spent over 3 hours not counting in store time getting them to straighten out our phone lines. read more

It is an ATT store. The employees are paid on commission, so you will be asked "Are you ok? Do you have any questions? Can I help you" about 5 million times. I understand this is the status-quo at places like this, but it is sort of creepy to be stalked in such a small store. The employees here ~are~ nice however and I feel if i did have particular questions on a phone or cell phone plan they would have a ready answer for me. I really just wanted to physically play with a phone I have had my eye on, and besides the "occasional" ..."are you ok?" questions I was given free range of the store. The store was bright, clean, with a whole bunch of friendly staff who didn't have a need to help me, were quick and efficient in helping other customers with their questions. The store is in a good location too, I mean. The landing has a lot going for it. So if you have a wide range of things to do and cell phone shopping is on that list, not a bad area to go to and check things out. read more

I came here to return a phone case and the guy who checked me in said I was number 5 on the wait list. He said if I ended up waiting too long, he would help me himself. Really...all I had was a case to return, why couldn't he take the 2 mins to do it right there. All he did was just stand there holding an iPad observing the store and when someone would come in, he would check them in. I waited OVER 20 MINS just to return something and still didn't get assisted so I ended up walking out. Are you serious atat? The customer service here is absolutely ridiculous.
