The extremely rude gentleman employee (wish I would've gotten his name) did not help her at all, and sounded like he cares zero. She left, being told to contact someone else. Terrible employee. Good if you just want to buy merchandise, but not helpful if you are a blind elderly person responding to calls from ATT. The people at the ATT store are unable to help with offers from the ATT company. We were advised at the ATT store that we needed to contact ATT on the phone, and that the people at the ATT store were unable to help communicate with ATT. This is dark, but I kinda hope my eldery neighbor dies, so she stops knocking on my door. Obviously ATT doesn't think they can squeeze any more out of her, so who cares? Hate me for that wish all you want, but I spend 4-8 hours per week helping this person who I don't even like, because nobody else will. Heck, I can't wait to be done with this ordeal myself. We were having trouble connecting my Dad's AT&T email account to Yahoo mail. It had worked fine for years, then suddenly disappeared. Ryan explained there had been some changes with Yahoo and suggested we call them. On second thought he decided to try a couple things and together we were able to get it to work! I appreciated his expertise and respectfully calling us by our first names. Don't bother making an appointment. They help customers on a first come, first serve basis. Today was one of the best interactions I've had at an ATT store ever. There wasn't many people in, zero wait, and I was greeted right away and taken care of. Maya was the one who helped me. She was patient and knowledgeable and never got frustrated with me after the many questions I asked. They had every color there in the phone I wanted. I even got one of the latest phones on the market for a great deal because I participate in their upgrade program. (I think I pay $5/mo for it). I went to this store yesterday to upgrade my phone, after waiting for 30 minutes (which is fine) I got called by this dude that I don't know his name (medium height African-American with long briads hair) this dude... did not want to work! This is the best time for me to sit down and relax about AT&T. I remember when I was a Yelp newborn and AT&T signed up for my $#!T list several months ago: [Flashback music & wavy screen transition] I had called several places on a weekday because I was looking for an iPhone. The Apple stores were sold out and other AT&T locations really couldn't give me a definite answer. I didn't feel motivated to scramble around town just for some friggin' phone. After striking out miserably, I conceded to stopping at this particular AT&T store to get on a wait list for the next iPhone shipment. When i arrived, I looked around and saw two associates at the front counter assisting other customers. In the back there was another group of associates just mulling around, socializing, whatever. I noticed 3-4 customers getting some help. I wandered around the phone display area in the front and then over to the accessories for around 10 minutes before a floor associate approached me and put my name on a clipboard. Another 10 minutes go by before I was asked to meet with an available associate who would assist me at the back counter. She took my basic information and said someone would contact me when my order was available for pickup in-store. It took approximately 15 minutes for her to type everything into the computer as well as upsell me on accessories and an extended warranty. I sense the light at the end of the tunnel when she takes my card to process the purchase. Next she tells me that I cannot pay with a debit card. Her 10 minute explanation was that they have had problems with their system charging customers' card twice. [DJ dragging the needle across the record] [Moment of silence] [Pin Drop] [Single cough] [Blink, blink] Wait, you don't want to take my money because I might get charged twice? I appreciate the consideration, but why can't I get a correction on the double charge? It seems like a simple fix to a transaction error. It cannot be helped and I'm reaching critical mass after wasting nearly an hour. No manager intervention to resolve the matter. I just shake my head and cancel the order. [Sigh] read more

On Sunday my family and I went to the AT&T store off Aero and there was only one person (did not look friendly or want to be there) working, we sat there for about 5 minutes and no welcome greet or anything. So we left and headed to the store off balboa and luckily it was closed because we ended up at this location. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Cesar and he helped us out right away. He was great, very engaged and seemed to us like he really wanted to help my family and I out. To cut the story short I walked out with a new phone and so did my 8 year old daughter. He saved us a lot of money by taking the time to look at our bill and taking out unnecessary charges we didn't need. We need more customer service reps like Cesar. The employees are helpful until they get the sale and then they don't care about you afterwards or if you are not intending to buy anything they are not helpful. Hi my husband and I got told at this location by an employee if we switched from T-Mobile to AT&T that we were guaranteed it would be much cheaper and our phones would be paid off fairly quickly due too trading in our phones. We also switched to AT&T because we would get a discount for husband working at Costco and this isn't happening either. Our bill has been pretty high since joining and have had awful experiences with different employees amongst people from the AT&T app. I feel we got told false information and this okay. The person who helped us at this specific location was great how ever I don't understand how we still are paying a fortune and paying the phones off when we got told this happen. As for the device that did ship, the incompetent employee that helped me place it didn't even include my address. Just the city of where I lived..... they sure do pay attention to details! I have little to no experience with phones and really needed some help understanding the process. The woman who helped was so rude, it was unbelievable. First, the phone I was attempting to turn on needed an update. After that, the sim card needed to be changed out and the phone needed to be updated. I completely understand that this takes time and I was happy to wait. However, after 30 minutes into the conversion process, the woman helping me, claiming she was the manager, left me sitting for about 40 minutes while she helped two other customers that never made a purchase, and they just sat there socializing. Never at any time, did she come back to check on my phone's progress. She then escorted the two women to the door. then circled around the entire sales floor, before finally coming back to me. When she returned, she simply said, "You're done. Take it home and let it finish downloading." I certainly don't mind waiting for good service and for professional help, especially when I do not understand the process of transferring phones. I do mind being treated like I am the cause of this woman's unhappy professional life. UNACCEPTABLE. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. These incompetent, unhelpful, rude staff refused to take any initiative or action to return a phone I was told by ATT customer service and as written in their actual policy that I could return in store. I have been an ATT customer for years. I have 4 wireless lines, internet, and DirecTV and am considering cancelling all of it after my experience. I have now spent about 30+ hours on the phone getting transferred from department to department only to be hung up on and eventually transferred to customer retention, where I stayed on hold until their closing time at 9pm. The kicker is what I need I thought was very simple. I recently added a line (which I now regret). After significant effort on my part, I finally decided to not purchase my phone through them and instead bought an unlocked device directly from Apple. They said to return my phone in store or via mail, but it is due back by Monday. At the store, they refused and said their system doesn't show a pending return. I don't know what that means because I was told to just turn it in or put it in the mail. They refused to call customer service and figure it out either. I am appalled at the poor customer service and attitude and plan to file a complaint with AT&T about the staff and management at this store and the BBB. For as much money as I give this company every month, I expect better service -- some service would be a start. read more

Waited for about 45 minutes before I got any help. Also, it wasn't even busy at the time either, I notice employees chatting away together or playing on their IPads. I finally got help and every option sucked. I went to AT&T because my phone's home button broke. It was either I could buy a brand new 5s phone and pay $52 and get a increased phone bill ($25) every month, buy a whole new iPhone 4s for almost $300 or (since I have insurance) go online report a claim and pay $165 bucks! I was told by the rewards center to go into the store to speak to One of their agents in regards to my problem. I went to the store the agent asked me my name and what was the problem I explained the problems that I've had for the last four months he then asked me for my cell and which he dialed the reward center which turned out to be the cancellation center and then it all went downhill from there. (Just in case the geniuses at ATT don't catch the sarcasm) Have two lines on my account- went to upgrade them.. decided to upgrade only one of them since I wasn't "eligible" for a full upgrade since I upgraded 18 months ago. Decided a few days later I would just bite the bullet and pay for an upgrade for the other line as well. Here's the fun part... waited for OVER an hour after getting a "im next in line" text.. completely understaffed and you would think they were performing brain surgery with the length of time it takes to "resolve" an issue. Finally my time comes up, and the guy says I can't trade in my phone because it has a small crack in the screen- although when I was there a few days earlier the rep said it wasn't an issue... I wait for over an hour and the guy doesn't even make the attempt to help- basically just says he couldn't do it and walked me to the door. I've had numerous billing issues in the close to 20 years of being a customer with these guys.. everytime I talk to someone I get a diff answer.. last time I was on the phone with the rep put me on hold for 30 minutes before being disconnected.. now wait for over an hour to basically disconnected in person. Verizon is a sounding pretty good about now. read more
