So I came into the AT&T store on Cottle Rd to upgrade my phone around 3ish in the afternoon yesterday. I had to sit in the store for almost 2 hours while my old phone did a software update, just right when I was about done and gave the old phone back I believe his name was David there was another guy that worked there I think his name was Daniel or Danny can't remember kept asking me every 10min if everything was ok and just when i was about done on restoring everything on my new phone and about to leave he asked me what's my phone number and my Instagram and also was asking he wanted to go out and have a drink sometime. Arthur helped me right when they opened yesterday, got an Apple Watch and he let me know that I have AT&T Fiber in my area for a really good deal, about half of what I pay for Xfinity with a promotion. Do yourself a favor and never go to this store. My sister went to switch service from Verizon to AT&T and went to this store. They never offered the promo they had of getting a new phone with the new line. The next day she noticed that she wasn't receiving SMS text messages. She called tech support they said they would fix it and give her a call back. Never got a call back. We went back to this store and talked to Arthur. Walked in and the guy just sat there. Didn't even stand up to greet us and just leaned back in his chair. I explained to him our situation- with the SMS and no new phone offer and he just said oh well you will have to go to corporate office. We don't make money on the new phone promos so we don't offer it. Then someone I assume is from another one of their stores came by and she seemed a little more helpful and I gave them the opportunity to redeem themselves and AT&T to see if they could resolve the issue. She then said we can research this and call you once we do. I asked for when we should receive a callback, she said end of day. Never got a call. Nothing was resolved. We went to the corporate AT&T store and the excuse was given that the SMS text was a tech fix. I told them that it should have been fixed same day then. In the end we brought the line back to Verizon who offered a new phone without us asking and we will never do anything with AT&T ever again. read more

Be careful, either AT&T or this location in particular is running a scam I walked in one day to ask for an upgrade, and a woman who was there before me who came in to turn in her phone as part of a trade in offer was told at the last second that the value of her phone did not qualify her for the deal she was given. She was told one thing in person, made her deal, and then when it came time to turn in her phone, they start singing another tune. The woman was livid, and I was sitting there thinking she was going all Karen for no reason..... Until it happened to me a week later My iPhone 8 was due for an upgrade, and the app tells me what phones I can upgrade to. I walk in to complete the upgrade and tell them that the 13 mini qualifies for free with a trade in. They look at my phone and analyze it and tell me that the condition of the phone qualifies me for half the price of the 13 mini instead of full price. Fine, whatever. We complete the deal, I buy my phone, everything is fine. We start the data transfer on the new phone and after technical difficulties they tell me I can do it at home and return the phone the next day. Fine, so I come back the next day to turn in the phone, and low and behold, after entering some info on their computer, the phone suddenly doesn't qualify for the discount I was told yesterday, even though the deal had already been completed. And there's nothing that can be done to override it, and the manager isn't on-site. Why didn't they run this same analysis they're doing now yesterday before I paid for the new phone? You mean to tell me that this store could make the same mistake twice in the same week? I can't believe I was getting scammed. Needless to say I walked out of there, and I'm now dealing with AT&T customer support instead. read more

New phone buyer - BEWARE! I bought 2 new phone here in 2021. Both through the trade in program. I never paid attention to my ATT bill as we have a family plan and there are 5 of us. But today, I just noticed that both of the phone that I bought through the AT&T cottle road store has AT&T next up $5/mo charges. I never asked nor authorized this. Additionally, one of the phone has ATT security Insurance and protection ($8 and $6/mo) and also has 500GB cloud for $5/mo. I NEVER authorize any of these. Came in yesterday 7/10/19 with my mom around 1pm. The store was empty when we walked in, the girl working at the tine did get up right away, but it just went down hill from there. She did not know what offers they had, I asked for what services they had for the elderly, what programs they had. She got on her iPad and said she had to loom it up. No eye color tact, no information. Told her I needed the service written down, so my mother could look at it and make a choice, we had already been to TMobile and had excellent service. I have all of my services though ATT and wanted to know what options where there for my mother. The lack of customer service was beyond disappointing, I actually left mad. To tell me she doesn't know what discount services they have that I would have to go to a corporate office to find out when I am In Your store, was just not good service. The manager was out to a very long lunch, but an inexperienced employee should never be left alone. Had to go back to TMobile who provided my mother and myself with great customer service. We are 30 year AT&T customers with five lines and were given misinformation at this store which cost us money we weren't prepared to spend. Jesse was nice enough but gave us incorrect information regarding the monthly charge. He also told us he would waive the activation fee which did not happen. Now we are on the phone when AT&T customer service trying to resolve this situation. It should also be noted that Jesse took over our interaction and switched customers with his colleague since he was frustrating his current customers and his colleague had to step in. We are new to the neighbor and disappointed in this experience. We can walk to this location but will drive back to Santa Clara when we need assistance instead. read more

They gave me what I thought was a new phone but turns out to be a refurbished phone with non-Apple parts. I had problems with the camera and they said it was Apples problem. Went to Apple and they said the phone was refurbished and unauthorized parts had been installed. Went back to Att and they said they could do anything because it was past the two week return policy. Answered all my questions, even the crazy ones. Took the time to help make sure I crossed my T's and dotted the I's. He even was helpful and went out of his way when my 3month old started crying. These guys do nothing care about the AT&T brand or about customer service. We ordered two phones and they charged for the tax, $235. Having waited over a month for the phones, AT&T cancels the order, no explanation. We inquired about the refund for the tax, at which the store had no idea how to help. After many store visits and phone calls, lots of false information later, we still cannot get a refund 2 months later!! Their explanation... they don't know how to help. AT&T said the store has to process the refund, but the store said they couldn't help, to talk to the district manager who has eluded us on every visit, has not responded to our email or return our call. AT&T should be embarrassed, and the store should be recognized for their extremely poor business practice. FYI, Bryan is the elusive district manager. read more

Warning! I left my Goverment issued CA drivers license in this store on Friday. Bryan the manager called to let me know he had my ID safely put away in the back until I could come in and get it. Saturday morning I called the store to say I was coming in to get my ID when they tell me they destroyed it Friday night when I did not come in. Are you kidding me! He said it is company policy to shred customer's IDs if they are not picked up at the end of the day. He could have warned me. No apology. Not even 24 hours! By the way I called corporate and there is no such policy. The employees lie and cover for each other. Who knows what they did with my ID. Not to mention Bryan would not provide his last name or store info. And to top it all off he had the nerve to offer me a discount on accessories for destroying my property. Took my dead Iphone there(phone fell in toilet and spent a few hours under water), and asked the person in charge if he could help me remove the sim card and put it in another older Iphone to check if sim card still worked. He removed the sim card and tried it by removing a card from one of their sample phones, and plugging my sim card into it, and it worked, so he put the sim card on my older phone, and told me to go home and charge the phone and it should be ok. Found out I was overdue for an upgrade last week so I went into the closest AT&T store to hopefully have the best day ever and get a brand new iPhone 11 Pro. However, this was very much not the case. I came in and the manager was really nice and seemed helpful and honest but, he tried selling me a new plan. This was fine, we hit a roadblock that made this all difficult but him simply advertising was no big deal. Because of said roadblock, I had to wait until payments got cleared up but changed my mind about the new plan and just focused on getting that fresh phone. I come in and am helped by a lady. Notice how i left out greeted? Yeah, came into this store four times during this process and she didn't greet me in the slightest. We're almost to the finish line aaaand nope. System glitch, allegedly. I come in the very next day after the location on Blossom Hill tells me I need to go back to this location. We order the "phone," I walk out ready to take on the world as I really thought the 5th time was a charm. Again, not the case. I get an email later that day of my shipping confirmation. Brace yourselves. "iPad Pro 11-inch" .......IPAD PRO. 11 INCH. Biggest prank of my life. I drive over as soon as I can and am just sitting there for an hour while the same lady is calling everyone I could've called from the comfort of my own bed, right. She tells me I just need to take the package to the corporate location, cough cough Blossom Hill, and from there I can return as well as order the new phone. Went there today and none of that information was correct. Basically, the staff is just completely lacking customer service and information about their own services. Very seamless visit to AT&T! My sister has had her Samsung Galaxy S5 for nearly three years now, and was looking to trade up or upgrade to a newer model. We came around the late afternoon, after running a few errands in the area, and there was just a small group before us finishing up. We were greeted by a specialist who asked us a few security questions and linked up our account. So easy! There's an AT&T nearby my house, and there is almost always a wait-list. Whether it's on a weekend, or weekday, it's always packed and it's harder to get anyone's attention! For this location being in a lively shopping center, I'd assume the traffic in this store would be comparable to my home, but it was a comfortable experience! We had many questions since we just learned there aren't any 'upgrades' but the 'next plan'. Our specialist was attentive and was very helpful with everything. She ended up choosing the new S8 , which wouldn't be available until the 21st. One thing I was curious about was picking up in store or delivery, and we discussed the options and compared the two phones, as well as what would come in the bundle. Within a matter of 20 minutes with completing the preorder, we were able to leave with everything settled and signed! It was perfect. read more
