6/1/2023 - Shockingly unprofessional and untruthful 4:30pm on June 1 2023, My son and I went in to purchase a phone replacement for our existing account. We asked if we could purchase an iPhone 12 and Dara went "to the back to see if they had any" and after being gone for about 5 minutes he came back and said all they have in store is an iPhone 14. From the parking lot I noticed they show iPhone 13's in stock so I called on the phone and was told they have iPhone 13s in every color. We went back in, mentioned this disconnect to Dara who did not say anything, then asked to be sold a red iPhone 13. Halfway through this transaction the person helping me was called by Dara to the back for a "question" (holding the phone) and again was gone for over 5 minutes. No one came back until I sent a trainee (the only person left on the floor) to let them know I was going to leave if someone didn't come out. A manager appeared from the back room and let me know that things aren't going to "just happen in a snap" like I want because this a trainee who was selling me the phone. Also not true since the "trainee" was training a "trainee"? It's clear that the manager on duty is monitoring transactions and stopping people when they are simply selling a phone to remind them to smoothly change the costumer to a new 5G plan. Disgusting. Came into the store today and was immediately greeted. I came to pick up an order. The order was canceled and I didn't find out until I arrived, but that being said the team still did there due diligence to take care of me anyways which I greatly appreciate. Run from this store. I've been a customer since 1993. This store sold me a phone that was defective. Sent me to the apple store to get the issue fixed. I just wanted to return the phone. Went to the apple store and they restored the phone to original settings. Went back to ATT to return the phone, and they charged me $45 for restocking the defective phone that they sold me. Are you kidding me! RUN! Do NOT do business with this store. 15 min at Verizon around the corner. Waived my activation fee, I am up and running with a brand new phone. F-U ATT, you suck!! Went in to take a tablet off my plan, was talked into dumping my 50g plan for the unlimited plan. Was told it will save my family $50. Ends up it's actually $20 more expensive than my old plan. Guess it's my fault for having faith in employees actually having a clue about what they're talking about. Go in to fix it and shocker, nothing they can do about it, but they did try to sell me on Direct Tv for the 40th time. My wife gets a 17% discount through her work, but magically not on the plan the guy changed us to. Coincidence, wish I believed it was. Call the loyalty department they say, okay that sounds like a good plan. Oh that plan is no longer available, but we can give you a 20g plan for the same price. Oh thank you for stealing 30g from me, that's an amazing deal. Needless to say we're currently shopping for a new provider, they could careless about you as a customer, don't believe them when they say otherwise. I'm disgusted by the way AT&T has treated us through this. More specifically don't take anyone's advice in this store, they're a joke. Bottom line over customer happiness all day long. read more

Just a terrible customer service experience. I always hate when people say this...but this is literally the only time I've posted a review in over 2 years. It was that bad. We ordered a phone for my wife earlier today, received confirmation email, and drove out (not that it particularly matters, but our nearest store didn't have the phone we wanted, so we had to make a special trip to a store further away). Got there, checked in, and found out that they had CANCELED our order, and had not told us they had canceled. They made US feel like WE made a mistake, but the only explanation we received was "Oh yeah, our manager must have cancelled it earlier." I don't even know what else to say. Thankfully I had a great experience at this store. I was in an unusual situation where I had about 25 minutes before my phone number would be canceled from out of my control and I needed to switch to my husband's phone plan like ASAP. I did wait behind the customer who was there before me, but Ben saved the day. He saved my life actually because had my number been canceled before transferring it to AT&T I would have not been able to get it back and I've only had the same number my entire life. So this was a huge deal to me and I am just so appreciative of Ben being so quick, efficient, polite and he troubleshooted my phone being locked and had me on my way without overselling me and just being such a great representative of this company. My experience at this store wasn't the best. I should preface this by saying I am a returning customer. I haven't been an ATT customer for about a decade. I have my regular service with a different provider but wanted a "dumb" phone on a prepaid plan for work separate from my regular account. I can describe this store as a bit chaotic. I couldn't tell how to queue up to get service, so we ended up just standing around maybe about 15 or more minutes. When someone finally asked if we had been helped and I said no he just walked away, checked the queue, asked other customers if they were there before us, and then came back and asked how he could help me. I just found this to be a pretty patronizing and dismissive process just to get help. It's also confusing. Apparently you have to interrupt sales people to get added to the queue for help, which is strange. Fortunately the store had the phone I wanted in stock and I was able to purchase it, however the rep who helped me and told me he had set up my account for autopay in fact didn't set up auto pay. I found this out today, fortunately before the bill cycle ended. It was just overall not a wonderful experience. But two stars since I did get the phone I wanted. read more

Absolutely awful. Arrived at store 15 minutes after opening to return a broken item. Two people checked in before me. Two people being helped. After waiting for 5 minutes one came over to check me in. I explained I was returning a broken item and that's all I needed. He said he would alert a manager and get me fit in. Crickets. Waited another 20 minutes while two other staff came from the back office to check more people in. No one offered to help anyone. They left and went back off the floor. Called to ask a question and they wanted me to come in and didn't answer my question. I decided I wanted an upgrade so I came in. Wanted a normal upgrade. (keeping my old plan and getting a new phone) Was told I couldn't keep my same plan. And would have to purchase a new phone in full or as a loan. If I took the loan, I would have ended up paying around 100 dollars more for the phone. Then they tried to sell me a worse plan, or more expensive plan. Went to Best Buy Mobile and kept my old plan and upgraded my phones. If I were to have changed my plan and kept the same features, I would have ended up paying around 1000 dollars more a year. read more

Moriah is the best!! I was changing over from Verizon to AT&T and needed to go in person to the store to sort it out. Verizon makes it extremely difficult to change over and she must've spent 3 hours getting to the bottom of all of it. Two days ago I went with my wife to purchase the new iPhone, Christel was very pleasant, patient, helpful and made sure all of our questions were answered. Well over an hour to cancel same day and switch to new provider. Yet, they made certain they got all their money "owed" up front. That took a matter of seconds to charge the credit card. Beware if you got in on their BOGO and have to cancel. You're basically screwed. My fault. I should have known better. Fortunately, due to relocating, we won't have AT&T cell tower service. But I came into the store today to grab some Justice League posters and this cool Asian representative with nice hair greeted me as soon as I walked in and even introduced himself and shake my hand. I asked him about the posters and he gave me a couple for free! Although, I was a bit sad that I couldn't grab all 5 of them. But at least I got a couple! Great AT&T store location. Absolute garbage, by far the worst customer service. Go to the other AT&T store on Hall Blvd. This manager at Washington Square should be fired and the guy at the front taking names on his tablet is an absolute waste of an hourly wage. AT&T please send everyone from this store to customer service training. Replace the manager with someone with actual management and leadership ability that can properly delegate and/or wants to do their job like an adult. I needed to switch a SIM card back to a now working phone. Process takes 5 minutes. I was told 20 minutes because others were already on the waiting list. Fine I'll wait; until 45 minutes goes by. The guy at the front that took my name is just sitting there with a tablet taking names and texting on his phone the whole time. Half-way through my wait the manager comes in from lunch I assume, he was still slurping on his drink, and then comes out to the floor only to jump in and help a customer already being helped. Normally, I wouldn't think this was a big deal, but the guy was just trying to find out where his case was that was ordered. Does it really take two staff members to track down this information? If you are taking over, tell your employee to go help someone else. I then watched as all four floor associates stopped what they were doing to look for a replacement case. Tablet boy actually did something other than text on his phone. Then the manager walks over to tablet boy and starts shooting the shit...this goes on for about 10-15 minutes before they both start texting. Having waited 45 minutes I finally walked out, drove to another AT&T store and had my problem fixed in less than 5 minutes. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. Protip to tablet boy....get a new job, work on a skillset, because your days are numbered if the only thing you can contribute to society is taking people's names as they walk in. I came to this store since it's the closest corporate store near me. I needed to go to a corporate store since as a new customer that signed up by phone, a hold was put on my account since I recently moved addresses. On multiple phones calls with the the fraud department I was told to go to a corporate store like this one so the store could call customer care and verify my identity. When I showed up to this location they seemed completely lost on what to do. The took a picture of my ID and added notes to my file and said that is all they could do. I was very persistent on getting this resolved and asked if there was anything else to do. Astonishingly, they pushed another option on me to have them close my newly opened account and start a new one with them in the store to "solve" the issue. This is completely contradictory to what the fraud department advised. I called the fraud department another time when I got home, excited to finally have my information verified, only to be told that even though I went into the store and documented my identity, the store needed to verify my identity over customer care. They also confirmed that there was absolutely no need to cancel my account and sign up in store. The fraud department was very sympathetic and put a note in my file specifically stating the AT&T policy for the store to reference next time. However, after about 10 hours of trouble shooting this today over the phone and in person, I am done. Hopefully this store reads this comment to learn from their mistake. All they needed to do was follow the book and they would have had me as a new customer. I am assuming they are either improperly trained or undercutting their customers to boost their commission (or both). I don't usually tire from a fight, but I was absolutely exhausted from trying to get my account in good standing (and I signed up as a new customer just a few days ago). This is also in part due the corporate system too. I was on hold multiple times for 30-50 minutes. Not the kind of service anyone should endure. I usually am pleased with AT&Ts service, unless I come into THIS particular store, I just came in to get a phone (iPhone 6) and at first somebody quickly came to help me, and then said he would be just a sec. 15 min. Later still nobody has came back to sell me a phone, and worst of all there were a couple of representatives who were just standing around looking board, so I go over to one of them and they seem like they don't care and don't want to be working here, the representatives said they were waiting for a customer to come back, 15 min. Later still nothing, and no other customer came in for the employees to help, this fiasco ended with me telling one employee "Im going to Verizon".
