Needed a quick fix for my son's phone screen because the touch stopped working. Got right in and Victor told me the screen I ordered and repaired myself was faulty. Part of the issue could have been operator error- I tried! Victor was great and took maybe 20 minutes to fix the phone, and it was a cool $75. Literally the best place and best price. We chatted about playing Nintendo and our favorite Zelda games. I was lied to multiple times by Kelani during the process of him scamming me. We paid for a genuine iphone screen replacement. Come to find out it was not a genuine iphone screen, proven by a certified apple tech with the part number and a simple light test. We didn't give him the password which he wanted to test the device. We wanted instead to test the device in person when I picked it up and keep my passcode private. He used this as an excuse as to why the problems were arising. So many failures when I had the device back, most notably the camera. Still putting my trust in him I asked him to explain and he told me that the phone may have been damaged internally and this model was notoriously tricky for face ID and camera malfunctions and that I should ALSO pay him to fix the camera. Thankful I got a second opinion from an apple tech who let me watch him open the phone. *When the phone was opened there was still bits of glass scattered through it, the clips were bent and the camera was left unconnected* (see photos) it was obvious that this phone sustained too much damage to be repaired fully by a screen replacement but Kelani didn't tell me that, he hid it under a new aftermarket screen, charged me for a genuine screen and wanted to continue to milk me with the new camera replacement. When I talked to Kelani for the final time, I started out trying to be reasonable. I asked for my broken screen and my money back and that he could have this one back. He quickly began defending himself saying that he wouldn't refund me and that I should just take him to court. (I see it's a popular reply for him in his comment responses) He also told me that he didn't need people from "my side" and people "who look and talk like me" because he has plenty of good customers with people who love him. I'm a repeat customer with Cellutech Repair, which has multiple advantages over its closest competition: 1. More reasonable and affordable prices. They always beat Batteries Plus Bulbs, ubreakifix, Best Buy, the AT&T Store, the Apple Store, etc. 2. More responsive service. Their turnaround time is impressive considering it's a mom-and-pop business vs. a chain with far greater resources. And wouldn't y'all rather patronize a small business, anyway? They're the backbone of the U.S. economy! 3. Better inventory. Not only do they have super-cool phone cases that you just can't find at any retail store, but also nice touches like a screen protector that's superior to tempered glass for a few more dollars. 4. Bilingual. Spanish is spoken there right alongside English, and it's no wonder that there are plenty of Spanish-speaking customers who feel comfortable conversing in their native tongue. 5. Friendly. Ana and Victor always have a smile on their face and treat customers with patience, kindness and respect. I can easily see inviting them over to my house. They're naturally likeable! Brought my son's demolished iPhone 6S in to have the screen replaced. I called a couple of months prior to get a price, and was told $55. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, the employee was personable and communicative, and the story was tidy. We were told 2 hours and that we'd get a phone call. Did some shopping and hadn't heard back in the 2 hours, so I called in and was told it was ready. They apologized for forgetting to call me :) Picked it up, exactly $55 and a free screen protector. I broke the glass on my iPhone and was in a panic because I use it for work. A quick search on the internet and I found cellutech. Showed up the next morning and the gentleman working there got me in and said it would take about an hour. I went and got a coffee and ran down to Home Depot and when I got back the phone was done. Looks to be a quality job, I couldn't see any pry marks or anything indicating a mediocre repair. The person working there was super-friendly. Gave me a great deal on the repair and I went ahead and purchased a screen protector, which he installed flawlessly. I'd go there again without any sort of reservation. While the man who tried to help me was friendly, he wore his mask under his nose. Was automatically a deal breaker for a second visit but still needed to talk about my last screen replacement with them, less than 2 months in (still with warranty mind you) I begin to get black dead lines within screen lcd due to a bad repair job. Even under warranty he says he can't replace it for free, which was promised within the 6 months if it was due to faulty repair. Due to my screen having scratch on the inside of the iPhone XR that was caused by the repair. He stated it was under physical damage. Damage that was done under repair. Will not go back as warranty is essentially useless. read more
