I truly try to give small business the benefit of the doubt because ratings are key to their success. However, my experience at CPR Beaverton was not only sub par, but resulted in me spending $1200 to buy a brand new phone. I took my iPhone 14 Pro in for a simple screen repair. The employee/owner told me to come back in 3 hours - charge for the screen change was $230. The phone was given back to me in 3 hours with an undamaged screen. When I got home I realized the phone would now flicker on and off in the middle of using it in any capacity. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I returned the next day and let the same person know about the issue. He said he was really busy that day and to please come back (a 3rd time now) to the shop the next morning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I returned the 3rd day and he worked on the phone again and said the problem was fixed. I walked out of the store the the phone flickered on and off again. He told me to wait another 2 hours so he could all the manufacturer at which point I let him know I was not willing to purse their services any further. Fast forward, after reminding me there were no refunds I was finally refunded my money. Upon leaving the store within 5 minutes my phone now was overheating and not usable. I brought the phone to AT&T and it couldnt even be turned on to back-up and was too hot to hold unless it was fully shut off. I ended up having to purchase a brand new phone out of pocket. I would caution customers from CPR's services as the skillset for simple services like a cracked screen swap are nowhere near acceptable. read more

Came in for my battery not holding charge, they replaced it. (Motorola One 5G Ace) and just after I left I noticed the trim wasn't holding. Ignoring it until I got tired of it loose. A few things... I also emailed this to them 5 days ago and didn't get a response, so I'm posting it here: My black Pixel 5's fingerprint reader was replaced with a green one after they told me when I dropped my phone off that they had a black one in stock. I was not emailed or given a choice to wait for a black one, so now the phone doesn't match. The regular phone headset speaker now does not work, suggesting something wrong with that speak (audio only works on speakerphone now) The phone goes dark when I make a call and I can't make it come back, suggesting something wrong with the front-facing light detector I am disappointed and had to do (another) factory reset. I would like my phone to please work but am afraid of what else might go wrong if I have it fixed again. On a positive note, the staff were super friendly and stayed late to get my phone back to me when the repair took longer than expected, so I want to give them a shout out. This company is scalping PS5's by Selling them for $999 and giving you 100 days to pay off, if you don't they are going to charge you 3-4x that, buyer beware. Don't use this company! ------------ After discussion with owner who tried to bully me over fb messenger.. their lending partner is American Finance a National lending institution (with a B+ rating with the Better Business Bureau) which specializes in lease to own contracts, Cell Phone Repair will buy the PS5 from ANYONE that will sell it to them for $700-$900, they then RESELL that used or new item to you for $999.00 in 100 days through the lending partnership who will charge you a ridiculously low price of $50 a month to keep it. After those hundred days are over you're on the hook for the lifetime of the contract (or pay an exorbitant early buy out fee), usually 36-48 months which means if you pay the minimum cost each month, you will pay anywhere from $1800-$2400 for the same item you would have paid $500 for waiting at the store for it to be stocked. This buying option is actually WORSE than using a credit card, the APR (annual percentage rate) on the worst card you can get is 22-28% but the full term of this loan is near $2400.00 meaning you paid for almost 5 PS5's by the time you are done making the the minimum payments effectively similar to a 40% APR. Now, I wouldn't have gone this far into the lesson, if the owner hadn't attacked me over Facebook messenger trying to pretend I didn't know what I was talking about. But I assure you, make sure you read that contract very well before you sign, and if he gets you just as I've stated, please thumbs up this review so you can help the next guy. Early in the Pandemic my iPhone started acting wonky. I took it into CPR, they tested it and gave me the bad news. It had died. This wasn't an unexpected death, but it was not timely as I was pretty broke. I had brought in an old iPhone 4; this iPhone just keeps on working like the energizer bunny. The nice tech at CPR tested my 4 and said it was good to go, switched my SIM card and I gave them my broken 6 for parts. Reuse, Repair, Recycle They are the nicest people and there's no long wait like the Mac Store or at Apple. It happened. My phone started giving the death throes. It would charge sporadically when I plugged it in, and I'd wake up in the morning to 12% battery after having it plugged in all night, or it would vibrate incessantly until I tipped it just to the right angle and left it there all night (god forbid I woke up in the middle of the night and bumped it ever so slightly), or worse, no alarm because my phone died in the middle of the night. My boss was not happy with that period of time. I called and assessed the situation job with CPR Beaverton. The woman on the phone nodded sagely (or I assume she did when she gave the all encompassing "yeah, I know it.") She asked for me to bring it in, which I happily did that day after work. I came in and met a guy who I don't remember his name either (it's a trend with my reviews, I'm bad with names and I feel bad about it), but he reminded me of a leaner Rick Harrison from Pawn Stars. I was expecting him to give the iconic line of "best I can do is..." [keep your phone for the next few days while you learn to navigate home by observing what side of a rock moss grows on and following the feel of the wind and the projected path of the setting sun] (Seriously, it's 2020, I can't even make it to the end of my driveway without following my GPS, -hold up a sec, that makes me sound like I'm rich and have a long driveway and I want to clarify my driveway is only like 12 feet long). The celebrity look-alike not only merely borrowed my phone for all of eight minutes, he also gave it back fully cleaned out and charged me much less than expected! It's partially my fault for not having a more broken phone, but it's also the fact that they are experts at what they do. Super professional, super courteous, I don't have enough adjectives for this business and their employees. Imagine as many positive ones as you can muster and place them at the end of this review. My iPhone XR got immersed in salt water on a recent adventure on the coast. The phone still worked but did not make calls and the screen was damaged. A.J. and his colleagues advised me to come right in, and took apart the phone before my eyes. Luckily the salt water only affected the bottom part of the phone. They were able repair the phone and replace the screen in 24 hours at cost of $250. The sim card actually still worked after their repair. The phone now works better than new. Brought phone to this location. Spoke with a woman over the phone before coming in. Quoted $70 over the phone to replace charge port. When we came in price went to $79.99. She immediately started ordering the part and was going to take an order and then her boss walked up... He had overheard my questions and stared to explain the most common issues. He decided to look it over instead of just ordering the part which was much appreciated. He took the phone to the back and immediately started working on it. There are times when a business deserves a six star review. This is one of those occasions. A small piece from a charging cable broke off in my iPad. I messaged CPR and got a message back almost immediately with a quote for the fix. I took my device in and received a warm welcome from Greg who had my iPad issue fixed in less then 2 minutes. Best of all, when I mentioned that my device needed a new battery he ordered the battery and didn't charge me for the fix with the charging port. It seems to me these days that pride in extending customer service has disappeared. Not at CPR. I cannot recommend them enough. As a matter of fact, my girlfriend was so impressed with the service, she bought a refurbished iPad that same day and was treated with a level of care that was epic.
